Tech was super! I went over problems with Grubs they have killed my grass in many places. Mole tracks every where. He was great told me to foresure let management know because yard looked terrible. “His words” i pay good money to have done correctly. I personaly feel someone became lazy. I do know it did not rain much but my brother has you treat his yard right next door, he is not seeing the problem 75 feet between houses yards run parallel eith each other. Thanks.
My wife and I have been using trugreen for about 15 years or longer. I got a notice we were behind I contacted customer service and paid in full thru automated services . I told them they only aerated the front and not the back they left me on hold for about 40 mins and said they would pro rate the difference that was last month on 9/17 I hung up. Today without a single bill from them after I paid almost $500. I get a collections notice from a collection agency. You got paid if I owed money why wouldn't you just send a bill. What awful business practices. I am very glad they don't want me as a customer anymore because my grass was more dead than alive. I am very seriously considering buying a customer call list for your customers. Thanks Bob *** Update**" I called today they said the additional money was for work they done on Sept 17th when I said you said you suspended my account on Sept 8th and I didn't pay you until the 19th they put me on hold and came back and said the $265 it was for May and June. What a scam. I payed them and told my Wife to cancel and never use this P.O.S company again. She called and canceled and they said is there anything we can do to keep you as a customer. For starters stop ripping your customers off. ......I will leave it at this I will not try to contact you because I already went through customer service. You just reply with this nonsense so you can make it look like you give a damn........
As a new customer paid $840, I am beyond disappointed. They completely neglected to cover the backyard area, and every time I contacted customer service, I was given incorrect information. My lawn has shown no improvement whatsoever. When I requested a refund, they only returned $240, which feels like outright theft since, according to the agent, no treatments were ever applied to more than half of my backyard. This was due to an error on their end where they failed to mark the full area in their system. I am absolutely shocked by this experience, especially from a company that’s supposed to have such a good reputation. Clearly, whoever is in charge is doing a terrible job.
New customer $2,000/yr paid. Extremely disappointed. No one ever came out for the initial lawn evaluation. They canceled the first application for no reason and took me hours on the phone trying to get to anyone that gave a damn to get it rescheduled. I had to call for an evaluation and am still waiting for someone to come. Hours today waiting for someone on chat and also by phone. I gave up. My time is money and if someone want to call me, I will give Trugreen one last chance before calling another service provider.

We have used TruGreen for our lawn care for many years. Our grass has always looked good. We recently added the tree and shrub treatment package. They applied the incorrect product to our magnolia tree (per them, not my words) more than once and it may not survive now. I requested the same technician for my most recent visit because he was knowledgeable and I was told he would come and do the service and they sent someone else. I called customer service and asked to speak to the technician to find out what he put on my magnolia. CS left a message for the tech and I never got a call back. I called again today (over 48 hours later) and was told the technicians don't have company phones so it is their discretion whether they want to return a call or not. I asked to speak to the tech's supervisor and CS rep said she would leave message for someone to call me but they can't leave message for specific supervisor. There is NO way to speak to someone at the local office which is very frustrating.
I had a true green service guy treat my lawn today name d Steven L. HE WAS VERY KIND AND HE READ THE NOTES AND KNEW I HAD A CONCERN HE DEALT WITH ALL OF MY CONCERNS. I would like to ask Steven L's manager. To always send Steven L to my house personally for my service. Up until Stephen L came to my house I was going to cancel my service plan. Was treating my lawn prior to hiring this company. My lawn looks worse now than before. They no-showed on a treatment day and rescheduled two weeks out. I requested an in between spot spray for weeds but they denied me and said the next treatment will take care of it. Clearly unhappy currently.
Well, another Lawn company came out and told me they would do it for 275 cheaper the same thing per year, which may be a scam. I do not know but you guys did a good job. Thank you very much. I am satisfied.

Shawn Sanders became our new rep after a long time relationship with our previous rep. That rep retired and we had a little rough patch for a while but then! Along came Shawn. I was uncertain and skeptical how this new fella was going to stack up. After getting to know Shawn a bit, he assured me that he would do all he could to pick up the ball and run with it. I obtained expert advice from the local Trugreen service manager on my lawn problem. My lawn would not green up all year. He helped figure out the issue was my watering way too long, but not frequently enough for my soil condition of shallow 2 of soil over mixed rocks and gravel. I now water every other day instead of once weekly, but only 1/2 of water at a time.
He is Very personable and knowledgeable. Thomas was very thorough in his work. He did have equipment problems which is not unusual- often things are broken - but he had a workaround and got the job done!

They like to park in the middle of crosswalks outside elementary schools while school is being let out. Go with a lawn care service that isn t going to make the streets less safe for our kids.

My dad and I prepay to have our adjoining property treated at the same time. We have a history of flawless treatment over the years but this year the technicians will only treat my dad s property and refuse to treat mine despite pleading with them to do so. They were here today and would not treat mine. I called the customer service and the call taker didn t have a good grasp on the English language so I got nowhere . I am at my wits end as I have paid for the service but I can t get anyone to help me get this resolved, very disappointed and frustrated!
TruGreen keeps our lawn at the Independence Condo Association looking lush, green, and weed free. They take care of our trees and shrubs, as well.

I called for a quote on a home we are purchasing in the future and they asked for a card so they start a profile and I asked them please don t use my card I m not living there at the new location yet I m just wanting a quote. THEY USED MY CARD AND STARTED SERVICES AT A LOCATION I DONT EVEN HAVE IN MY POSSESSION YET! I never signed any papers nor said yes to any services!!! You stole my $$ fraudulently. Then they told me it was going to take 10-14 business days to get back $$$ and today I find more charges! Find a local buisness not TRUEGREEN STAY AWAY

Great customer service! The specialist (Rhonda) was very knowledgeable. I appreciated her for explaining to me what she was doing to the lawn and what I should expect over the next few days/weeks. Before she treated the lawn she even helped clear out the kid and dog toys out of the grass. Great lawn care and the exceptional customer service for sure!

I have been going through a nightmare with this company since last fall. They performed services without my permission and because I was set up for auto pay, the charges came out of my account. I spoke with someone in customer service who agreed to cancel my service and refund the charges for the services that were provided but, somehow the refund was reversed and I ended up paying. In February, a guy called me about service and I told him that I did not want their services this year and explained why. He said he would cancel the account. A few weeks later, a woman called about service starting up and I told her that I did not want their service. Guess what, someone came out today and performed a service any way! Ugh! When I called to complain the person asked me how I wanted to pay! If you use them, do not authorize auto pay! I am so frustrated!

Ive been a customer of TruGreen.Perrysburg Ohio for more than 8 years. I have lawn and tree and shrub services. This year I guess they no longer want us for a customer for tree and shrub service. They were here on Friday March 15th. They completed the service. The following morning, I received an alert from my credit card for a charge of 80.53.Last year I pd in full 212.40. For the season. I called and Im waiting on a credit. I only authorized a charge of the 212.40 for the season. Not 80.53 per treatment. I would like to hear from tru green to continue service. I guess I will see if they want me as customer or I will take my business for complete service on to someone who wants it.
Not once but twice i saw them with there spreader do about half my yard and took off as fast as possible, they do such a halfass job i wish i would have never given them a second chance, do not use this company.

We ve been using TruGreen for the past 3 years and have had great service and an even, weed free lawn. The service techs are always professional and courteous. Today, specifically, Dave and Chris stopped by to treat our lawn and they were so patient while I tried to wrangle our 2 year old German Shepherd into the house so they could do our backyard.. which took a good 10 minutes and Chris coming into the yard to say hello to get her to want to come in, finally. Could not appreciate their professionalism, patience and kindness more! Will definitely continue to use TruGreen
They bait and switch. I was told that they would do my entire yard for the agreed upon price. Once they came out, they only applied the treatment to the front yard. I then call and they say that it will be an additional 90+ dollars for my back yard. If I would have known this was not included, I would have gone somewhere else. They still charged me for the half yard treatment. Their customer service is horrible and I tried to contact sales and they just route you back to customer service. Once they have your money, they do not care. Take my advice and stay far away from this company. Or the very least, make sure you verify everything with technician before they apply the treatment.
Poor feedback from company on recommendations for improving bad areas of lawn. They will just continue to treat and take your money with no feedback.
The service could not be there for the next 20 days that I have chosen. The only time they could come out to spray the trees and shrubs is when I am not available. Very irresponsible and non responsive
I have used TruGreen for years, and in the beginning, my yard looked great. As of late, I have many weeds, and the cost of service has gone up considerably. I observed the technician one day, and he couldnt have been here more than 5 minutes. Next season, I will most likely look elsewhere for service or go back to doing it myself
I have had issues with TruGreen in the past, but they must be stepping up their service. I just had Thomas F finish treating my property. It was the most thorough job I ve ever had.
I had scheduled aeration and seed service. I wasn t at home when the tech came and knocked my door. I have cameras so I noticed that the tech only serviced around 20 mins on my front yard. Never went to back yard. I quoted the entire yard and the work order after the service shown entire area, too. I had to call the branch and asked one of the tech came back to do back yard. Not fun at all!
I was hesitant to give 5 stars due to the inability to reach anyone at the local office. I simply had questions about my bill and it was nearly impossible to reach anyone, but once I stopped in and spoke to the manager in the office, he got everything taken care of and gave me his cell phone number. I see all the negative reviews and on here and it seems like most people are having the same problem I had, which was communication with the local branch. My lawn looks great considering the time of year and that I dont have time to water. My applicator told me to mow at the highest setting and that has made a world of difference!!
They must have a ton of business. Their sales rep hung up on me (not a dis-connect) while asking about their services.
I called to inquire about starting services for fertilizing our yard and was pressured for a credit card number. I told the sales lady no, she said ok and scheduled a follow up call for the next day. The call never came. Fast forward a few days and low and behold, Tru Green fertilized my lawn and left me a bill. I called back and complained and they said a supervisor will call me back, they never called. I called a few days later, no record of my call, another supervisor will call, that didn t happen. I then got a bill in the mail stating my payment was late, I called again. She said I have no balance due and no services tied to my account. She then transferred me back to the Sales department who promptly hung up after saying hello. I threw out the bill and will never contact them again. Please note, this is not directed at the local crew who actually did the work, they did a great job. The issue is with corporate and the way they handle accounts.
TruGreen is a nightmare. They never show up and never call to re-schedule. I prepaid for their services which was a big mistake. My lawn has been treated twice (which I dont believe) and I still have a ton of dandelions in my yard. Do your homework people.
This company left a solicitation on our door claiming they did a free lawn evaluation and recommended services. My yard is actually already cared for by a great company I m happy with. Tru green claimed I needed every service they offer on their solicitation (the only one they magically didn t recommend was sprinkler maintenance and that s because I don t have in ground ones). Super unprofessional and obviously an attempt to money grab. I wouldn t trust any company that takes the you need all our services view point. Edit: after talking to my neighbors they ALL received similar you need everything solicitation as well.
They serviced my neighbors yard and it resulted in part of my garden also being killed. I called and provided her address to ask them to be more careful next time but they couldnt even notate that on the account bc the neighbor was not the one who called. If I thought my neighbor would have the decency to call I would not have taken it upon myself to do so.
Non responsive! Overcharging and not getting rid of the weeds as guaranteed or promised!
I have used this service since last year and gave them too many opportunities to do the job that they were overcharging for to begin with. My neighbor caught reps last year showing up, walking around without doing work, sitting in their trucks, and then just posting a stick in the yard to say that it was treated. I worked with a Kyle and Glen when this happened and one of them came out to ensure that something was done at the end of the season last year. He then said the next season will exceed my expectations. This year, I saw things with my own eyes. I watched a woman walk my yard, pull a hose out, not spray, wind up the hose, and proceed to leave until she noticed me watching in the door. She said she needed to reschedule due to a bad hose. Had I not been here, she would have put a stick in the ground claiming a service was completed when it was not touched. I am beyond livid and disgusted with this. Everyone thinking about using this service consider two things: 1. They will claim to do services and simply don t 2. This company has no accountability or integrity. I will never come back to them and plan to share my terrible experiences everywhere. They prefer you not to be home so they don t have to work. Beware!
I signed up for the weed control monthly service and was completely unhappy. They came out in the Spring to do a spring start up and shortly after, our yard had more dandelions and weeds. When they applied the application, we had a huge storm that night.. they even applied the fertilizer while it rained I called them back to do a reapplication because the amount of weeds that showed up I was afraid it was washed away during the storm. They came out and re applied. Next month, they came and only did our front yard and not our back yard. Did not leave any communication on our door explaining why. (We have cameras so I know the backyard was not touched). The following week, the gentlemen came back out to the home, looked around the yard and left. No communication again was left on the door. I called Tru Green and explained to customer service asking why this employee has been to our home with no service or communication, she did not have any record. Next month, Tru Green does not show. We called to ask why so they put us on the schedule to be serviced on a Tuesday. Tuesday came and another no show. I called to cancel our services, and the gentlemen on the phone proceeded to laugh, stating that I had a lot of valid reasons. I would not waste any time with this company.
The worker left our gate open and our puppy got out. Thankfully a neighbor caught him. Also, the worker was smoking while doing our lawn. Super unprofessional company! We have now terminated our contract with them!

I prepaid for a lawn care fertilization plan with grub control. They came out in March and April, after that nothing. I called in June and they apologized blamed it in a computer issues. Got them to finally come out in June and they promised the issue was fixed. Well it wasn t because they missed the next service date too. I had to call again but they were unwilling to come out with in the next two days. I asked for all my money back because they did not fulfill the service contract and I explained because of these missed appointments my lawn was damaged. All they would refund was my remaining services. I would not recommend using them and to go with a more reputable company.
Had been getting the mosquito spray all summer, had been working, got another scheduled application a week and a half ago went outside last night to sit around our pool & got eaten up by mosquitoes! Of course this weekend is the holiday weekend & we have people coming & when I called them they can not do anything until next week! NOT HAPPY!!!
Various problems with this company. They missed an application in the Summer but claimed the service was done even though no bill was left on my door, no signs were placed in the yard, and the security cameras (5) never recorded anyone walking through the yard that day. On the next application, they sprayed our small dog run area even though it was on the do not treat area. Weeds have been an issue all year and my neighbors, who dont have any fertilization programs, have greener yards. TruGreen, as a company, I believe is very good. Here in Toledo, it is a disaster.
Ignorant people going places they arent supposed to go, doing things they DEFINITELY shouldnt be doing. No warning, no response. Stay away! Id give 0 stars if I could.
I want to thank Glen and his team from the Perrysburg, OH location for all off their help in getting my lawn in shape. They have responded quickly to all of my requests for timing of services and treatments. I have had the opportunity to speak with several of the technicians and they have always been pleasant and knowledgeable. I plan to continue with TruGreen for my lawn care.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Have been with them for years of terrible lawn and lawn care. I keep giving them chances. My yard has consistently gotten worse over the years, and they claim to call and get extra treatments, and that never happens. The last straw was I had a debit card issue, and a unpaid balance of 44$, and they called me multiple times a day for a week to collect. Again, I have been dealing with terrible service for 3 years, but 44$ will get them trying to collect, not fix the yard. I would definitely recommend to stay far away from this company all together.
Great care of service
Needed help with an urgent lawn situation. They took our money and said they would be out the next day. Two days came and went, we called, and they said they had no record of us, were EXTREMELY rude, and wouldnt come out even though they had taken our money already!
Contacting someone is a nightmare! And if you are lucky enough to get ahold of someone, they mess up the order. Once they mess up the order, you have the same nightmare trying to contact someone about the mess up. And guess what? When trying to get your refund for the mess up, it s a nightmare!
Did not fulfill the contract which was prepaid. On visit number 5 I have so far rescheduled at 5 times including the manager stating that he would be coming out to perform the service. True green will not give me a phone number where i can file a customer complaint.. My trees are dying, i have lost 4 so far and they will not refund my money nor discuss time that they can come out and schedule the service. Thus far the service has been rescheduled 5 times with no show.
