I am NOT easy to work with. The term Micromanager doesn t even cover me. I know exactly what I want and it is usually not where it was just placed. Whatever it is will definitely need to be moved 2 to the left or turned upside down. And whatever curved border line is in the plan is wrong, so will most definitely need to be adjusted. ALL of the forty boulders which have been residing on my property for 40 years told me they wanted to be unearthed and moved to enjoy new views, so that should be a fun day. Oh wait, and that crushed granite I chose that was just dumped in the cul-de-sac? Nope. It leans towards black and grays and I m going for browns, so please take it back. I don t want a blue pool. I want a brown pool with a beach entry and boulders framing the edges. My chickens need their own water line. I want to run everything (lights, water feature, irrigation) from an app. My outside copper bathtub needs to be framed in boulders, but don t hit the tub or I ll end you. One more thing. The pool s waterline tile that was just set? It isn t right. Please tear it all out and do it again. Yes, I know it s 9:30pm, but the pebble sheen crew is coming at 7am, sooooooo. Y all need to work till 11pm. I m tired, so I am going to bed. Now that my character is crystal clear, HEAR that through all three months of my backyard remodel and all the various crews, EVERYONE was patient, respectful and friendly. Luis (owner) was direct, communicative, and reassuring. Juan (PM) was available, positive, and excellent at translating my awkward wants. From the Venezuelan baseball crew who did the demo work to the whip smart and efficient electrician to paver artist, Flores (I know I butchered that spelling. Why, WHY did I take French in High School?!), and the many organic cuts I had him perform on the geometric pavers, along with his crew (I enjoyed my conversations with the Prescott native about parenting), to the irrigation (Irving, I m certain he thinks I m a nutter) and planting crew who suffered multiple boulder moving days (the 40+ dudes were JACKED UP! I need to move more boulders) to the random dude who just wandered in to fix my pulsing fountain ALL were more than friendly and tolerated my hovering with respect and patience. On top of their cordiality, the final product was RIDICULOUSLY GORGEOUS. And the icing on the cake? The final invoice (easily accessed by a link and paid by a credit card, YAY reward points!) showed the project s financial damage came in UNDER the quoted amount. Of my many, MANY home renovation projects, that has never happened. NEVER. Bottom line If Botanist of the Valley were able to tolerate my helicoptering AND put together a phenomenal renovation, all under their quote, then ya you should totally go with em. UPDATE: November 2024 B of V continues to rescue me. From replacing burned out mini landscape bulbs that are so alien even the internet is confused, to problem solving the electrical issue in my chicken coop... effing roof rats chewed the wire (I hope it shocked the bazinga out of them) to todays issue in which I was CERTAIN (and still am) that my Hydrawise irrigation system was intentionally drowning my cacti, so had clearly lost its mind. It hadnt. Today, Emo came out and, strangely enough, didnt make me feel like a complete nutter, even though I would have sworn on my second borns life (the first one would be too offended if I used her that way) that the system had gone and lost its cotton pickin mind. Or at least that a solenoid was bad, please? It wasnt. Maybe the new app was wonky? No. Let me prove its bonkers... I couldnt. They left having solved the problem (that wasnt actually a problem). The point is, two years after the remodel, I needed them ASAP today and Luis (owner) responded to my frantic text within the hour, then sent two guys out to (not) fix my problem within that day and I TOTALLY APPRECIATED THIS! So, dont feel like B of V will abandon you once they have your dough. They wont. Theyll have your back for years.

Couldnt recommend BOTV more. Being from out of state, this type of landscaping and construction was foreign to me. Im a designer by trade, however in a different medium. I didnt need to be sold, I needed a partner, collaborator and someone that can bring renderings to life. The level of professionalism, acute attention to the smallest of details, daily communication was such a breath of fresh air in a world of build fast, but maybe right. Every single one of the tradesman were beyond amazing. Absolute professionals at what they do. I would watch (without trying to pry) every day and was just blown away with the level of craftsmanship. Value - the ol If its too good to be true.... does NOT apply here. I felt like we were left with an end product that far outshined our modest budget. However even with that modest budget we were treated absolutely no different than someone spending 10x. The same care was applied. Its just who they naturally are as people. If youre looking to update/upgrade/build from scratch - absolutely start working with Marty and Luis. So very happy to have met and come to know them -

Didn t use them for any work but had one of their vehicles lose a load of material and damage my car. Called them and was told someone would call me back and to send them pictures which I did. Never heard a word back even after reaching out a few times. Good thing I called my insurance. Now several weeks later I have to file a claim with my insurance. Glad I kept their text messages.

After posting the below, Joseph with the company reached out to me and they came out to fix the problems the next day. It hasn t been 24hrs and everything has been fixed. Appreciate the quick response to this post and effort to make things right. Thank you Horrible, just horrible. Leaks from the sprinkler heads from day one. Came to fix them and couldn t get that right. I ve had to replace all headers on my own because of lack of response and still have issues to this day, been almost two years. My fault, should ve done more research. Hope this goes out to others DONT use this company.

BOTV is an amazing company. Marty (designer) listened to our dreams and created a plan that exceeded our expectations. The details he considered and developed into the design was truly inspiring! He is a talented and accomplished artist with his designs. We can t wait to see our project come to life! Had a pleasure of meeting Marty today for our initial in-house consultation. He has a great personality and very easy to communicate with. I contacted Botanist of the Valley after looking at their reviews and online photos of their work. An appointment with a designer was quickly set up within about a week of my online query. The designer (Marty or Manny?) was super nice, knowledgeable and on time. He had great ideas and listened to us. We spent about an hour and a half with him and before he left he said he would send over an estimate. We met with him on July 3rd and we are still waiting for that quote. I contacted the company on the 14th and on the 19th requesting to speak with the designer and received nothing back. Really sad to see that follow through and customer service has declined this badly. Im confused how a company can spend that much time with a potential customer and then completely ghost them. Obviously I didnt do business with them, however, keep it in mind when considering signing a contract with them. I can tell you from my two phone calls to the company it will be a challenge to get your questions answered or talk to the person running your project. ***UPDATE*** Within an hour of writing the above review, the office manager called me apologizing followed promptly by the landscape designer we met with. This company took full ownership of their mistake in communication and went above and beyond to make things right. In the 24 hours following this review, Marty met with me at my house, offered a sincere apology, discounts on their services and even a free irrigation timer and new valves for my system. Further, even the companys owner contacted me to listen to my concerns. This company really does seem legitimately concerned with customer service and this was likely a one-off mistake. We received a beautiful updated design and quote within hours. If we decide to move forward with this company for our backyard, Ill post another update.

Botanist of the Valley is great! They redid my entire back yard patio with beautiful travertine tile and firepit. The work was impecable, they were on time and completed the job as promised. Also, they gave me daily notes as to when the crew was coming. If a problem came up they were johnny on the spot. If I was out of town an occassional video was posted for me to look at. Great job guys and I hightly recommend this company.

I couldn t be happier with this company! Unlike 6 other companies, Luis immediately responded and the communication throughout the day couldn t have been better. When he realized that our Saguaros were rotten and that we were on a street corner with heavy foot and vehicle traffic, he got a crew to us in less than 24 hours. From the first call to the cleanup they were all friendly and professional. Our neighbors can t even tell where they used to be. That s pretty amazing because we had three Saguaros all over 15 feet tall and two were conjoined. Had they fallen on the city sidewalk or the road, they could have killed someone. They were even able to save the plants around them! Thank you!

Their administration team kept us well-informed through a group chat regarding HOA and city permits, and they even took care of submitting the HOA paperwork for us. We have been working with Marty from Botanists of the Valley for the onsite estimate and have coordinated meetings with Joseph. Currently we are in the estimate phase, but because we are so impressed already, I felt compelled to write a review. Joseph is incredibly respectful and professional each time I call and always takes the time to research my questions. Marty has spent multiple hours talking about our options and his recommendations for drainage issues, water retention, and landscape design which includes soft and hardscape. He is very thoughtful about his recommendations meaning how can the space be best utilized, how can landscaping complement the architecture of the home and enhance it, and how can the design function best for our family. Not many contractors deserve rave reviews, but I can clearly say that Botanist of the Valley is one who does! From start to finish, including the bidding/estimating stage, thru the planning, thru material selection, to the actual work and final touches, rave reviews. On time every day, cleanup every day. Luis the Owner was very professional. He believed in open communication and followed up with quick and complete responses. We couldn t be more pleased with the outcome which incorporated many Botanist ideas and changes requested by us along the way.

Botanists of the Valley and the owner Luis went the extra mile to do an incredible job on the installation of the artificial turf for the safety surfacing for our playground. This required multiple cuts and seams which are invisible. The turf sits flat with no bubbles or ripples and looks so inviting for the children to play on. They also put quarter minus around the outside which they pounded into a smooth path to help keep mud from being tracked into the playground area. The Botanists and Luis are certainly dedicated to doing a professional and exceptional job! They were also the best price around! We are so glad someone had recommended them to us and we had decided to use their services!

We used Botanist to design and install our new front yard. This included boulder wall, lighting and plant selection. They did a great job and delivered exactly what we asked for. Unique design and quick response to any concerns. Luis was great to work with, his knowledge will make your project run smoothly.

BOTV was simply excellent. I reached out for a quote in October. They immediately contacted me and Louis came out and measured everything out and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. I made 25% payment. They started in mid-March. Pool was the first one that got done. Although no work was done for a few months due to supply chain shortages for marterials, after shotcrete, plumbing etc were placed, the backyard got done within weeks. I got the backyard of dreams in 4 months which is simply unbelievable given the delays. They were extremely communicative and professional. I even got a complimentary cleaning service of the pool for 4 weeks. I highly recommend them for all your backyard work. Can t believe my eyes when I look at my backyard. Check out the after photos!

Botanist is the best! We did our front yard and back yard with them and years later had the power fail on electrical to the light controller in the back yard. (not their fault) They came out and put a new light controller in. Thank you BOTV. Keep up the good work!!!

Hi. Botanist of the valley did an amazing job on our Backyard renovation. We wanted to extend our backyard so we could add a swingset for our kids. Our backyard is by a lake and was large but very sloped. They built a retaining wall and fill in certain in the area level. They redid the sprinklers, Electrical, and lighting. They added planters and plants. They put real turf in part of the yard and artificial turf under the swings. They did a great job of putting drains under the swings and slides so that rainwater would not gather in those areas. They gave us many extra hose bibs and electrical outlets throughout the yard which is so helpful. They were good at making design suggestions which enhance the project. For example, we were just going to have simple stairs go from the upper to lower level but they suggested adding a grand staircase with lighting and a dock on the lower level. It turned out really Beautiful. They did a good job communicating. We got a text every morning that the crew is coming to our house. Highly recommend.

I hired Botanist of the Valley to do a complete renovation of my front and backyard. First I need to say that if you are looking for a quick turnaround, don t think like that. They are very quality oriented and pay attention to detail, so a project can and will most likely take time but at the end it is 100% worth it. Luis and his entire team is great to work with and I can say the price is more than fair and on point. A year later Luis reached out to me directly to ask if any plants needed to be replaced while under warranty. Fortunately we only had one Ocotillo and one Artichoke cactus that needed to be replaced. Everything else is healthy and thriving. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone of my friends and will continue to use them as needed, although they have done everything perfect to this point .so maybe on the next home location??? We just had our patio and pool redone, with an addition of a fire pit. The owner, manager and crew were absolutelly great during the entire project. The craftsmanship and quality were top notch, also the assistance and flexibility along the way for all the choices we had to make. They surpassed our expectations, we already recommended them to some friends and is our pleasure to leave a review here. If you are looking for a very skilled and capable team for outdoor design and implementation, look no further, they are absolutely great.

Luis and his team have been working very hard from day one and everyone is perfectionist, which I appreciate very much. They are also very responsive to my questions and requests and have been working with me patiently to deal with demanding Dc Ranch HOA. I chose the Botanist after comparing the bid with other two luxurious landscapers. I think Botanist provides much better value and great project . It is a great fit for regular project like mine. Although sometimes (a couple of times) the crew may be running late or couldn t show up as planned, which is normal in the industry, I still appreciate their effort to making it right even that means they have to work at late hours or longer days. I already recommended Botanist to my in law s new build and will recommend them to my other friends as well.

If you want to pay your deposit only to learn that this company schedules you 3 months out, doesn t return your calls, and doesn t show up to appointments to fix your grading so your house doesn t flood (which they said they could do), then book them. Will be reporting to BBB.

This company could be amazing, some talented individuals. Unfortunately, poor follow through, incomplete or incorrect work and passing the buck to avoid issues left me extremely unhappy.

UPDATE: They showed up on time, brought everything they needed to get the job done. The finished product looks great. We are VERY happy with how Botanist handled this after an initial misstep. They worked very hard to make sure we were happy with the work and I think thats what a true professional does. I would recommend hiring them. ------ They came out to look at the job and told me it would be a few days until we got an estimate. I contacted them after a week of not hearing anything and they said it would be 7-10 days. It has now been 21 days and nothing. So unprofessional and extremely disappointing. They finally sent a quote and it was for the wrong job!! Such incompetence. I dont have much faith that they can make this right. (1 star) UPDATE: After seeing my reviews they contacted me and sent someone out to look at the job since someone in their organization so obviously dropped the ball. Adam was very apologetic and asked for a chance to make things right. The short of it is, they are starting the work this week and I am happy with their efforts to make amends. I will update again when the work is finished. (3 stars)

I had this company first come out for an estimate on 5/27/21. After several texts (the designer never answered his phone and the voicemail was always full so you couldnt leave a message), I finally got the estimate, but it was not at all what wed talked about and was padded heavily with things we didnt want or need. I asked for an appointment to go over the estimate but the designer cancelled at the last minute, then cancelled several more times that day when I tried to reschedule for a zoom call. I called the main phone number and the owner said he would personally take over and make sure I was 100% satisfied. I told him the estimate was wrong and didnt even include several things wed asked for. He bragged that he was the reason the company had a five-star rating and again assured me Id be 100% satisfied with their work. Ive never heard from them again. Its been 2 1/2 weeks since our last contact. They will probably respond to this review and make more promises, but if they were actually interested in doing a good job, theyd have done it by now. I would never recommend this company.

He took my safety into consideration during the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure that all his cruise they came to work on my property we re wearing proper face masks.

Botanist of The Valley stood out as a premier service provider to me due to the quality of work I saw, and the reviews across several websites. I was never left waiting when I would message the team, and was always contacted within a days time. I had the entire back yard redone, including three separate paver pads, a pergola, with rock lawn removed weed barrier applied, and new rock brought in. I cant speak for others experience, but I can say that Luis, the owner, is a true business man with customer service at the forefront of his decision making he showed up more than once to inspect the work and ensure I was happy. This really left me a sense of trust and ownership from Luis who kept personal contact with me during a good bit of the process, something that I must find in any company that I work with as communication is key. Inspecting, quoting, pre-work, actual work, some road blocks, and re-work Luis and his team were receptive to my requests, kept me updated the entire time for every milestone, and made sure I was pleased with the work every step of the way. I didnt get everything I wanted, but Im a hard man to please, and this did not deter Luis from making sure I was happy with everything that could be done, and I am very happy with the experience. Im glad I contacted Botanist of The Valley, I was treated with respect, my home was made more beautiful because of them, and I believe I will be working with them again in the future. Left two voicemail messages for this company (11/22/2021 & 11/29/2021) and never received a call back or voicemail. Nice website with some very impressive looking landscape designs. By the message I left, maybe my project did not seem large enough for this company. Not a good way to conduct business.

Our sprinkler system needed a to be replaced and after searching online we found Botanist of the Valley. We had several quotes from different Sprinkler companies but Marty and Luis really impressed us with their knowledge, product and their total-service company. They not only replaced our entire sprinkler system - which is now all online - making our water output much more efficient for our plants, shrubs and trees, they also pruned all our trees, a huge mesquite tree on our front yard was growing dangerously sideways - threatening to topple over onto my neighbors house! But they were so knowledgable and informative on how to prune the tree that it has now started to grow straight. They also pre-programmed all our water settings so that our trees werent getting over watered which were causing the roots to lift. Just recently we noticed a leak in our front yard, Luis and Marty were prompt to answer our texts to assure us that they would take a look at it. The pvc pipe separate from what was installed by Botanist of the Valley had a crack - they promptly replaced it that day! I would highly recommend Luis and his crew for any or all jobs for your landscaping needs. We were so impressed by their professionalism, service and efficiency!

Our experience with BOTV was excellent. Our yard went from a new-build landscape of nothing to a place we hang out every day (until it gets hot, anyways), with a wonderful seating area made of pavers and a big patch of turf for our kids, which they love. They spent a lot of time teaching us about plants that would survive and how to choose our own plants, as well as installing irrigation for us as we agreed and later on when we had planted things ourselves. They were with us from planning the lawn through the end, and the work is very high quality. I would recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping at a fair price done by professionals who genuinely know and love what theyre doing.

Botanist of the Valley (BOTV) Magical! The owner, Luis Leyva, came as requested to see exactly what we wanted, offered suggestions and listened to ours. He knows the names, characteristics, and nuances of every plant around as well as what is edible and what s not! He is a delightful guy who genuinely wants to make everything perfect and his clients happy. He achieved those goals the first visit. Additionally, he has an engineering background and was able to solve our standing water problems and create an amazingly beautiful and low maintenance environment around our home. He took us to a nursery to select plants and to other suppliers to see the ground lamps, irrigation system components, and to select the pavers we wanted. Never did he push for the most expensive, but always for the most durable and esthetically pleasing. His teams always showed up on time and were a delight to have on the property. They come prepared and willing to work. Never once did they complain, and anything we asked of them was answered with, No problem. I hired this company to redo my small patio. They gave me a good price and it stayed close to what they estimated. I am very please with the results and I finally feel that I can enjoy my patio space for the first time in the 2 years I have lived here. I am grateful for the expertise and labor put into this project. I would recommend them for sure. The only feedback I would give to this company to improve service is to improve communication about what to expect leading up to the project and during the project. I felt that I had to initiate communication for updates and information but once I did, Luis was very transparent, professional, and kind.

ORIGINAL POST: Great experience so far! Weve only completed the estimate so far but we are very impressed. The best thing I can say is that it didnt feel like a sales pitch. He really took the time to understand our vision and let our ideas and budget guide the conversation. Very impressed, and definitely recommend! UPDATE: This update is long overdue but I wanted to see how the plants faired after 1 year. This company was a nightmare to work with. I was upset I didn t get their 5 star treatment but considering they offered us a discount to write a 5 star review...do with that what you will.... If you are looking for a cheap company! Go with BotV. If you are looking for a company who stays in touch, delivers on what you paid for, provides guidance during design phase, recommends plants that will survive: Go with literally anyone else. I ve attached a screenshot of the service I received from the owner. A couple of our grievances: never created a 3D model of our project which was sold to us (nbd). Didnt place down a weed barrier (which is a nightmare today). All plants are on the same drip system and need different amounts of water so some are drowning, others are starved. No guidance on what type of plants do well together, what rocks looks good, etc. Please don t go with this company. We are now trying to find a company to do our backyard and hopefully see what they can do to fix the front....

I was searching for a company to perform some much needed work in my backyard. In my search it was essential that I get an affordable solution without a lack in quality. Botanist of the Valley certainly answered the call. Marty was great in going over the options and sharing what he could do for us. I actually had other companies scheduled to come out and perform another quote. However after the consultation with Marty I was confident I need not look any further. Great explanation and vision, we look forward to the end result. ...A few short months later and my family and I could not be happier with the result. The project team, Luis(Pavers team) Emo (irrigation team) george for the extras and custom details. They all did great work! I appreciate Luis for managing the project and talking us through changes, suggestions, and changes to give us maximum value, flow, and appeal. At the beginning of quarantine my daughter was just turning one and starting to walk. After a few weeks of working from home we realized we desperately needed more time outside, and decided to put money into the yard. I put together some ideas and reached out to a few companies - Botanist of the Valley earned our business from the first conversation! Christian, the designer, came out and really helped us reimagine what we could do with the space. He didn t just take measurements and send a quote - he talked through our needs, talked us through the possibilities, and took the time to understand our budget so we could get the most bang for our buck. The design he put together went through a few changes but after a week or so we were ready to go! From there Luis took over and talked us through every step. He communicated with us every step of the way - we always knew who would be here doing what. We had different crews working on different parts of this, and everyone was great: Luis, Miguel, Brian, Angel, Emo and Sergio (who hauled everything away by himself and cleaned up the aftermath)! They were respectful of my work from home, my kid and my dog and made sure that everyone was safe and masked up when needed. The before and after photos speak for themselves! Not only did they do an amazing job, but they came back and fixed every little nitpicky change I wanted to make sure I was 100% satisfied. My neighbors keep giving us compliments, and my toddler has her own space to run around and play!

My one word sum up: Exceptional. We just moved into a home with a blank canvas as a backyard, so were looking for someone who could help us design something for the family to enjoy for years to come. We solicited several quotes and got back some good designs and ideas. BOTV set themselves apart by the knowledge of everything that would go into the yard. Marty took the time to come out and see our yard. He asked us questions on what we wanted. Listened and gave us a design that was gorgeous. Of course, we went through several changes until it was perfect. We even had the crew change things on the fly as they were laying the travertine, building the kitchen area, and laying the plants. Luis took over as project manager and the level of attentiveness got even better. He was always responsive even to my texts late in the evening with a crazy idea or question. The level of professionalism and craftmanship extended to each of the crews. Nado, Heriberto, Luis, Angel, Mario, Jesus, Emo, Brian and Shawn all were top shelf. They were respectful of the home, extremely attentive to detail, and were able to make small changes on the fly when the wife and I asked. We are glad I found BOV through my internet research to provide the landscaping on all four sides of our house. After Marty and Luis inspected the yard at our newly constructed house, Luis invited us to a couple of Zoom conferences in which we could work with him on his 3D drawing. This way, any requested changes or concerns could be addressed immediately. We wanted a simple, clean design. Luis listened well, as that is precisely what he provided at a very reasonable cost. Andys crew led the actual implementation. Like Luis, Andy listened well and was very responsive to various changes that we requested while the project was in progress. Andy and his crew were very patient as we changed our mind on a few things more than once. In addition, Andy, assisted with a correction to our pool equipment free of charge! Luis, Andy and the crew clearly take pride in their work, and it shows. Some neighbors have expressed compliments about how the finished product looks. We are still considering a built-in BBQ grill station, and BOV would be the first contractor I would consider for that job.

With Botanist of the Valley, 3 words come to mind: Quality, Communication, and Value. This company excels at all three! Although our backyard project was smaller than some, we still asked BOTV to do a lot. We had drainage installed with river rock, we had a travertine seating area installed, we had pavers added in 3 locations, three sections of artificial grass installed, block wall installed, irrigation and low voltage wiring run, all topped off with 1 rock. With this much going on, there were the usual snafus, but I have to say I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED! Its hard to pick the area where I was most impressed since every aspect of the job turned out superb, but I will cite the paver work. That crew is amazing! They can put down pavers faster than the material can be brought to where it is needed, and when it comes to making cuts that bring shape and form to the project, they were outstanding! And one last point: Luis is great to work with! He quoted the job, got things rolling, adapted easily to changes I wanted added or removed, and then was easy to work with when we finalized the scope of work and billing. If we ever move and need landscaping done, Luis is the only one I would call.

We would like to thank Luis and the entire staff of Botanist of the valley for a job well done. Our front landscaping needed a complete rip out as did our walkway. Marty contacted us immediately and drew up detailed designs for the project and estimate. The entire crew from demo, install new irrigation, lighting and pavers for our courtyard and plantings were excellent. The final result is beautiful and we would highly recommend BOTV to anyone looking for quality workmanship.

Follow up 1/2021 Botanist of the Valley did a project for us early in 2020. Part of the project was to improve the appearance and seal our existing pavers. Somewhere over the summer, the finish became cloudy. I asked them to return and make the situation right. After an evaluation, they returned, pressure washed the pavers, added new sand and resealed them. Afterwards they guided me to a source and I was able to apply another coating of the same product they used to add to the good work they had done. 2/2020 This is a landscaping and design shop that provides reliable and good customer service. They have a great client oriented culture and attentive staff. This is a landscaper you can rely on to respond to your questions and changes. Their quality of workmanship is a professional grade. I picked these guys from other Yelp reviews and very satisfied with my choice. I have had other landscapers who did not return my inquiries or to my needs with much attention. I recommend this company. I am a service contractor in another industry and know what it takes to make a client happy. These guys are good!

The best landscapers in Phoenix by far! The owner Luis gave us a first class experience from start to end.Great communication throughout the whole process. He explained in detail exactly what I was paying for.Ive worked with quite a few landscapers on our back and front. The work turned out okay, but nothing to yelp about. Fili was the leader of the crew that worked on our front. He trimmed two large trees. He was able to teach me exactly what I needed to know to keep both trees maintained. I also showed him a couple of trees in the back and from there he recommended what I needed to do once the monsoons started to keep them alive. I will continue to use Botanist of the Valley with any landscaping job as well as recommend them to my family and friends. A great local business!

We are new to the area and this was the second landscaper we have had work on the yards. The first one had to be replaced. My husband went online and did some research. We were very leery as the first attempt didnt go so well. Luis was very professional and made us feel at ease from the first meeting. I have to say, he is not a landscaper but everything that has anything to do with your yards. He took care of everything and contacted me with quotes as promised. He even took care of the whole HOA approvals that we all love. I finally got the approval to move forward from HOA and I dont even think it was a whole week....they are done. In one day. They left it beautiful. Cleaned up, no mess and all is perfect. Even better then we pictured it would be. They put in all the pavers, moved plants, replace dead trees and put in the Hunter Hydrawise watering system that I love already. I would recommend Luis and his team to anyone and everyone. His guys were very professional, helpful and very nice. Try them...you will not be disappointed.

I just want to start off by saying Botanist of the Valley does amazing quality work! The level of professionalism from Luis and his crew cannot be overstated. Luis was patient with me at the start and was responsive to all my questions. Once we settled on the project it was kicked off in an expected manner. The crew showed up on time each day and worked their butts off. They were all friendly and I could tell they take great care in their work. They came prepared and looked like they could be at a professional job site. Luis did everything he could to provide quality service. He made sure that I was happy with the final product. It seemed to me Miguel and all the other workers involved on my paving project really cared about details and the end result. I would not hesitate to recommend Botanist of the Valley to anyone for their landscaping needs.

After careful investigation and discussions with multiple landscapers we decided to go with Botanist of the Valley to landscape our front and back yard. From the beginning, the process went very smoothly. They coordinated the selection of plants, rocks and any changes with us. All their workers were courteous and helpful during the installation. We even asked them to move our very large chiminea from the driveway to the back yard, no problem. Some additional work and equipment was added without the additional cost. After the work was done and paid for they have had an excellent response to any questions and landscaping touch ups. I would recommend Botanist of the Valley to my friends.

We were brand new to the West Valley (and AZ) and were overwhelmed by both the amount of work that needed to be done in our backyard AS WELL AS the number of landscapers advertising in our area. My husband did a lot of research on-line and we had several folks out to provide us bids. Marty was very enjoyable to work with and provided us with a plan and quote that fit our needs and budget perfectly. Luis and his team worked tirelessly and helped navigate a couple of mid-project changes we decided to make. Loved the we can make it happen attitude knowing we also had budgetary limits. My wife and I choose BOV due to excellent reviews. We contacted BOV in the fall of 2019, and today 11/26/2019 the landscape project was finished after about one month of work. What a great job Luis and hes team did. From plant and tree selection at the nursery, to patio travertine selection, to rock gravel selection, Luis and his team installed an irrigation system and a lighting system. Top quality materials were used, like pvc for the irrigation system. My thanks especially goes to his team, Foreman Bryan, and Christian, Jose, Alberto, Americo, Ricardo, Migel, and Martin for a professional job done.

Luis and his team did a great job with our backyard project. Weve got a pretty small space that we needed to make clean, low-maintenance, and aesthetically pleasing. We love how it turned out. Luis provided a clear estimate and competitive bid. They also completed the job very quickly with no delays or hiccups between each of the contract partners. When the work was complete, Luis came on site for a final walk-through to make sure everything was done as requested. Overall, we are very satisfied with our experience.

We had major leaks in our irrigation system and took a bid from Botanist of the Valley. They gave us a bid that not only addressed our current issue but also used the best products to help us save water with a new system. I really appreciated their whole system focus! I was not disappointed with my choice as they were on time and left my home better looking than when they came. All the digging that was done was not noticeable. Botanist of the Valley is as good as it gets. From first meeting/estimates with Marty, to design with Luis, installation, and even clean up. These guys are the essence of pros. The install crew of Emil, Brian and Casteel carried out every detail with care and dedication. The work was back-breaking at times, but Emil, Brian and Casteel worked seamlessly as a team. I could tell they too enjoyed the final outcome. The guys even went the extra step- over and above the contracted project- of using extra materials in my front yard to create a dry stream bed. I wholeheartedly recommend Botanist of Valley for any landscape needs.
