A definite 5-star company. Kale responded quickly after I left a voicemail and set up an appointment for a free quote. Quote was delivered in time promised and included line item costs for multiple projects we wanted done. Once we agreed to the estimate, we were scheduled with dates for all 3 projects (knowing weather can always shift things slightly). First front of house project is done (weeding, removing bush, trimming hedge, and mulching) and we are 100% satisfied. It's wonderful to find a company which cares about its customers and communicates so well.

They did a great job of grading and reseeding our yard after we needed our sewer line replaced. They were great about communicating with us and showed up when they said they would. We highly recommend hiring them!

We hired grass and more to do an extensive landscaping project last year (20k +) We decided to go with them because we wanted a small landscape company that would be personally involved throughout the project. I decided to give them a chance because of all the five star reviews. Initially, Kale did a great job of explaining his ideas and keeping us informed. They started the project on time, and it all seemed to be going well until about midsummer. We went on a 3 wk vacation expecting to see progress when we returned. We knew there would be a small break, because we also had a deck being built at the same time. Unfortunately, well after the time they could have resumed work, nothing had been done. In total there was about a six week break midsummer when the yard was completely torn up with equipment being stored in the yard the whole time. We texted several times with no response and eventually he came out and said he had just fallen behind. Eventually they did come out and finish the project. We decided to wait until spring to see what the finished product was like before reviewing. There were several things that were not done to the standards I would have expected a landscaper to do. Finishing of the project was very poor. The Top of the wall he put in was uneven. I asked him to cap the corner so it would not end up with a bunch of debris and he did not do it. We had discussed how we wanted the gardens edged when the sod was put in, and that was not done at all. One of our gardens had jagged edges of sod butting up to the garden so my husband had to redo that a few weeks ago. Kale was supposed to cover a cap for a drainage pipe that was replaced with the new drainage system. This was important as he was well aware that our neighbors were still using that drainage system, as well as our own downspouts draining into it. I just was removing some grass from that area to plant some flowers along the rocks that he put in, and I found the pipe wide open. Since I witnessed him trying to fit a cap on it unsuccessfully I know that this was done intentionally. They just threw sod on top of it ( It is a four inch pipe and would have been very hard to miss) The back of our yard also had a section of sod that was thrown on top of a mound of dirt that is about 3 -4 inches higher than the dirt right next to it. At first it was so obvious I thought maybe he'd stacked sod there. Regardless, we are going to have to dig that up and replace the sod. Perhaps the most upsetting thing is that when we returned from vacation and questioned the fact that nothing was done, his attitude became very unprofessional and he remained that way until the project was finished. In the end, the final charges were a few thousand over what we had agreed to and when we asked for an itemized description of the new charges he would not give us one, but just a list of things that he did in the yard (Some of which we asked him to do and some we did not). It was my belief since they did not put in a cement pad that he had orginally quoted (Just because of a change of project) those other things should have been easily paid for. In the end, when they said the project was finished, I was glad to have them out of my yard and decided to pay them the full amount. In the days after finishing the project he sent daily text messages hounding us for payment (Which I thought was ridiculous given the unscheduled six week break we had to tolerate... and the fact, only days had gone by since they completed and that I had consistently paid him all summer in a timely manner, so there was no reason for that behavior.) In the end I would say he was friendly enough in the beginning, worked hard when he was here, but his finishing skills were definitely mediocre. For this reason, I definitely would not recommend this company, especially not for any major project.

If I could give Kale and his crew 10 stars, I would. The soil under my air conditioning unit had eroded, and it was in immanent danger of falling over. He came out immediately, explained ways that he could resolve the problem, and then followed up and completed the work beautifully. He and his associates are people of integrity, with a strong work ethic and a perfect balance of warmth and professionalism that makes them stand out. What a blessing to find people who take pride in their work and who genuinely care about their customers. Thank you all for your hard work! - Jay

Besides using Grass N More, Inc to remove snow from our driveway and lawn mowing services for my lawn, I contracted with Grass N More for a large landscaping project. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the landscaping project results, as well as the timeliness of the completion time, the reasonable cost, friendliness, and the professionalism displayed by everyone in the Grass N More crew.

What a great experience I had hiring Kale and his team this past summer. They completely landscaped my backyard and were willing to work with me by incorporating my design ideas. The team was very professional and extremely hardworking. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! I also hired them to clear my driveway of the 12+" of snow we got. They were prompt and actually removed all the snow down to the concrete. Impressive.!!!

Grass & More put up a new retaining wall in our backyard. They were very professional, polite and timely. We are very satisfied with their work and would recommend them to family and friends.
