I normally do not give a bad review but if you are going to use this company you should know what you are getting. The picture is ground cover. This is the second year it was destroyed. The picture is about a week or so after weed killer was put down. And like Micheal Montbruand's review, my lawn in a previous year was destroyed. I was told it was worms and fungus. Worms so bad that I should have seen them crawling on my driveway. I saw no worms. Not sure about the fungus. Why did I stay with them? I posponed my service have way in the year and the payments were credited to this year. Bad move on my part. After the remaing balnce was depleted I cancelled service.
I am in my 2nd season now with Golf Green of Pekin and couldn't be more satisfied. Although they have their own recommended number of seasonal applications plan, they will work with you to tailor the number of applications to meet your objectives and budget. This is a great help to Senior Citizens like myself. The products they have been applying to my nearly 1 acre yard have been working great. They communicate effectively with their customers and the office staff I have had occasion to speak with on the phone are top-notch. I highly recommend Golf Green of Pekin.
Have been a golf green customer for several years. Our long time technician Angila who was awsome is no longer with the company. Her replacements, there have been 3. Have been bogie at best. They don’t fully cover the yard with grub prevention, fertilizer etc. have them on camera only going around the edges and skipping the vast majority of the yard. Then they don’t blow the granular over spread that is on the driveway off in to the grass. And in a few days it leaves oily spots. Also lies on invoice about arrival times adding 30 minutes to the job. Have time stamped on video of actual arrival and departure time. Will not be renewing contract. Calling the customer service line only gets you voice mail that is never returned. calling the supervisor Brads cell number also only goes to voicemail and is not returned.
Not to happy with golf green, on May 8 put a Application on the lawn, burnt grass in spots . I notify them on May 13, supervisor came out to take look knowledge that it was a burnt spot in the yard at their fault ; Came out Saturday May 18 to recover the burnt area rough the area up and put some clay dirt pack it down , which I didn’t see no grass seed in there , so I rough the soil up and add some grass seed in there. Got a call from the local Owner of the company, which ask me about my previous review which I did take it down, Now he try to cover up mistakes,by telling me I got some fungus in my yard, I know the difference between a fungus and over fertilizing grass. So NO MORE Golf Green on this yard.This review will not be taken down., I have always taken a lot of Pride in my lawn Last 43 years.
Received our second treatment this spring. I was very pleased with the two gentlemen who came to apply the treatment. They were very courteous answering my questions and concerns about my yard. Very thorough in applying the treatment 😊
I contacted Golf Green to do some lawn care at my new house. Not only were they professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and on time. They explained every step to me and did a fantastic job. Explained proper upkeep, Aaron Clarke especially was a huge help. We was very patient, very professional and took time to make sure I understood everything. I would defiantly recommend this company and I will be back for any services they offer in the future.
Golf Green has been wonderful. Our technician is Brad H. and he is outstanding. Always communicates with me about contacts and gives me suggestions, if need be. My lawn looks great and I get constant comments from people about it being the best in the neighborhood.
Ever since Golf Green Lawncare has been taking care of my lawn it has been looking great. Had mosquito issues around patio area in my backyard last summer and I used their mosquito control service and it worked perfectly. We could actually sit on our patio with no nuisance mosquito problems. Also had their Fall Core Aerification services done a year ago and I had a thicker lawn this past summer. (See photos) Great lawn care service. Would highly recommend their services. A++

Hired Golf Green to core aerate and reseed our lawn. Worked with Brad and we formulated a plan to deal with the clay soil and shade. He is knowledgeable, friendly and on time. Waiting for seed to germinate, but Im sure it will turn out the way want. Thanks for the good service.

I contracted w Golf Green for significant brick-edged rock work, planting of a variety of bushes and decorative grasses going down the entire side of my home which slopes and winding around to my rear lawn. They also eliminated a poorly designed and placed french drain and ran drain tile to a new drain the right way. An excellent job and competitive price for work that stretched thru intermittent rain days. My neighbors are jealous.

Brad Harms is our technician and has been helping restore our lawn since we moved in several years ago. Grass is growing in areas that had no grass prior to starting treatment. Our soil is heavy clay and has been a challenge to bring back to life after a long period of neglect by previous owners. Would highly recommend this company.

Fair, not too thorough
Today my fiancee and his family buried a very loved family member. As we was heading to the grave site one of their workers just pulls into the middle of the funeral procession. Went to golf green and spoke with manager who claims they spoke with the kid and that he was sorry. While explaining why it was wrong and disrespectful the manage is like we already spoke to him. Speaking is not enough. And they claimed the boy said he didnt notice it was a funeral procession. Blinking lights and bright orange funeral flags aint a sign i dont know what is. This boy needs wrote up or suspended from work as he disrespected a whole family and the loved family member, as well as broke the law by adding himself into the funeral line. Will never use services from this company.
We switched from another lawn care company about 4 years ago. Golf Green gave us a lower priced bid than the other guys and they have been delivering every since. We just had Tyler come by today for an application of fertilizer and broadleaf weed control. They were in and out without a lot of hassle.

After using other lawn care services, and being very dissatisfied, I called Golf Green. Their prices were more than reasonable, and less than the other big name companies I previously used. They ALWAYS call prior to arrival, and if they re going to be later than previously stated. Great customer service, and very friendly. My technician, Damery Williams, is THE BEST!! He s punctual, very knowledgeable, and answers all my questions. I ve observed various applications to my yard (5 acres), and Damery is always thorough and doesn t miss or overlook an area. Since he started treated my yard, it has NEVER looked better!! I highly recommend Golf Green Lawncare, and hope Damery is always our technician!!

I have used this company for the past 6 years. This is the only way to go! No heavy bags, no filling the spreader, no worrying about application rates and weed control. They do it all and at a very reasonable price. The best part is the great techs they have working for them. My guy Brad is the best.

Tyler from Golf Green just came by today and gave us our #4 application for the year. As usual, the application went without issues. The results from using Golf Green has not gone unnoticed as 4 other neighbors have switched to their service which is very affordable.
Tyler came yesterday to apply fertilizer and weed control. He always calls the day before so that I can get my two doggies out of the way. We talked about aeration and he supplied me with a quote before he left. Super happy with Gold Green.
We have used Golf Green for several years and have had excellent results for lawn, tree and insect applications. Other companies dont compare with price and service quality.
I would like to say everyone that I have spoken to or dealt with at the company have been extremely nice. 5 stars. The work done was affordable, which is why we hired them. But other than that, I felt they performed poorly. We called them to get an estimate about what we could do with our yard after we had to get our water line replaced. The yard was a mess. In talking with Paul, I told him we needed an affordable solution. He suggested tilling up the front yard and reseeding. In addition, I asked if the small portion of grass between the street and sidewalk could be removed and filled with rock. No problem. I also asked for an estimate to remove a fairly large line of bushes on the edge of our property that had become overgrown and unruly. He looked at them from a distance and said he would send me a separate estimate for that. We received the estimates and were very pleased with the price. So pleased in fact that we decided to have them do something with the side yard. Paul came out again to look, and said that only aeration and overseeding were needed and that he would charge $140. I agreed. Due to the weather, it was a while before the crew could come out to do the work. Understandable. I received a call asking if someone could come and aerate the lawn. I was somewhat confused as I thought this was going to be done after the tilling. But what do I know? The lady on the phone said it was a free service they were throwing in. No prob. They came and actually aerated and seeded both front and side yards. The crew finally came and started the work. The area of grass to be removed and replaced with rock was done quickly and looks fine. Here s where the problem begins. They began to remove the bushes, and I was informed that it could not be done for the agreed upon price due to the lg root base. How is that my problem if he only looked at the bushes from a distance when giving the estimate? I asked what could be done for the price. He suggested cutting the bushes off at the base, then he would return later to place a chemical down to kill the remaining stump and roots. I agreed. To date, he has not returned to place the chemical on the remaining roots. He said he was finished with the front yard, but when I looked, he had only tilled the areas that the excavator had messed up. I said I though he was doing the whole yard, which he replied oh no, I wasn t going to do that. I m still confused about what the $140 charge was for if the lady on the phone said the aeration was free. To sum this all up, I feel that the extent of the work being done was not properly communicated. Follow thru is poor. We were going to hire the company for lawn maintenance, but due to this poor service, we will find someone else. We have paid our bill, and chalked it up to learning experience for us. Hope this helps anyone looking for help with their lawn.
