Here's a factual review. I called to make an appointment to have our zero turn serviced. I spoke to Warren (who is always super nice). We made arrangements to have it picked up. I called a week after it was picked up to see when it was going to be completed & delivered. The owner told me it was going to be a 3 to 4 more weeks. They had a lot of other service to get to and it's their busy season. And they already have too many tractors sitting there. I was never informed of the extensive wait time for service. Due to the error in communication, I felt it was reasonable to make the mistake right (service our tractor and return it in to us in a week or two like it has for the last several years). If I knew it was going to be 4-5 weeks in total for service, I would have never arranged for our tractor to be picked up. Logically, why wouldn't the scheduled pick up line up or be close the actual service date? I requested our tractor to be serviced and delivered back to me by that following week. Again, there was a refusal to do this.. The owner said that I couldn't be prioritized & put in front of the other customers. As an owner, it's up to you to do the right thing and make it right. You admitted there was a mistake in communication and you'd talk to your team. Rather than keep a loyal customer (I had purchased every piece of lawn equipment from your Father), you chose to let your pride get in the way. Then you took it a step further and left a handwritten note that was completely unprofessional when the tractor was dropped off. I completely understand that mistakes happen in business and I am not upset by that at all. However, the rudeness & the letter were over the top. You really showed me. Feel free to leave your emotional response to this factual review.
I took my self-propelled lawnmower there because it needed cables and possibly a belt the self-propelled was not working.. They said 5 weeks but to my surprise they called in 3 weeks and said it was done and an additional 40 dollars. I already paid the 40 diagnostics fee. They were busy when I arrived and no one went over the bill as to what they did but I assumed they did what I asked and everything was done. I loaded up and took it home. The next day I tried it. The self propelled was very week and the wheels didnt release to roll backwards. I had to take it in the garage clean and lubricate the cogs in the wheels and as adjust the cable so the self propelled worked again properly. The machine works great again but I think I paid 80 dollars to have my blade sharpened. I really wanted to love their service because I am getting too old to lift lawnmowers around and dont mind paying for good service but I shouldn't have to fix again what I already paid to have fixed. I also feel that they should go over the bill and the equipment with you before you leave. I guess I am old fashion.

I took my 2 year old Honda commercial self propelled mower here. When I got it back and used it, it felt at times that it wanted to stall while I was using it. I didn t want to return it and wait another several weeks to get it check again. I put it away over the winter and when I tried to use it 4 weeks ago, it wouldn t start. I took it to Atlantic in Cockeysville and they said that the carburetor has water and rust. I m not sure how that happened but I ve had 3 mowers in my life and that never happened before.
I frequently buy parts for my lawn mowers at this place and they always have what I need.

Dropped off 2 lawnmowers needing minor repair but asked to have tune-ups done while mowers are there. Service staff was helpful and efficient. Even the gentleman who answered the phone was pleasant, and didnt rush me, when answering my questions.

I left there Sat afternoon with an agreement with Kristen on a mower. I was real clear that I would be back Monday afternoon with the cash. Before I even had a chance to withdraw the money, she backed out of the deal she offered me. She was also extremely rude, and condescending about it. I cant even imagine treating my customers like that. How to you possibly stay in business treating your customers that way. Last time I ever deal with that place.
Called to get a quote for a simple head gasket job on a B&S OHV engine. Was qouted 2hr labor for a job that takes 30 min!!!! When I questioned that there may be a mistake I was told we are also 4-5 weeks delayed for any job. Clearly things are going downhill at this place. Edit to account for owner response: 1. A well run business knowing spring is a busy time of year would properly staff to account for the increase in activity. 2. It is very well known what is involved in changing the head gasket on a B/S OHV engine, lets not play dumb here, you are supposed to be experts correct. A snarky comment about a 40$ estimate does not account for a very well known service being proposed at 400% the actual labor time it takes. If you want to charge more for your work be upfront/truthful about it to your customers and raise your hourly rate, but dont lie to people about labor hours.
The employees there are Great. We have had several pieces of our lawn equipment serviced there. The cost is always reasonable. Just realize that this time of year is busy for any lawn equipment service place.
I am an occasional (and very cautious) chain saw user. I brought it in for servicing because the chain froze up. Warren at the Service Desk figured out that Id triggered the chain brake (duh), and showed me that the chain was too loose, as well. He could have fairly charged me the $40 estimate fee, but sent me and the saw on our way. I appreciate this, and Warren earned Perry Hall Lawn Equipment more than that amount in good will.

I called PHLE for their tune-up and repair service late last Summer. I had just experienced bad customer service at Value Equipment, Inc (very costly too) and my equipment were still not operating properly. PHLE was timely in their arrival & equipment pickup, courteous and friendly, precise in their diagnosis, and affordable in their costs. Seven months later, now Spring 2022, my lawn equipment (mower, trimmer and rider) are all operating optimally. I highly recommend using Perry Hall Lawn Equip and I plan on using them again for future tune ups and repairs

Experienced folks who sell and service lawn equipment. The repair shop is very helpful. They can order equipment for you if they dont have it in stock. I purchased my lawn mower from them 8 years ago and never had a problem with it. Two years ago they ordered for me a weed whacker and brush cutter. (I can cut down small trees with it). Never had any problems.
Took Troy built push lawn mower in for tune up around March 30th 2019 and it was ready by April 12th which is reasonable for this time of year. I had no difficulty in reaching anyone by phone. Staff were polite. When I picked it up they ran the lawn mower in my presence; sounded good. Bill clearly itemizes the labor and parts. Labor was $70. They changed the oil, air filter, and spark plugs. They also sharpened the blade and flushed the fuel system. Total parts was $18.55 which consisted of the spark plugs, air filter, oil, and gas. Shop supplies/environ fees were $5.00. After taxes, the total came to $94.88 which I feel is reasonable for the services rendered.

The owner Mr. Cliff is a reasonable overall good buisness owners. Ive known him to work with repeat customers. The man has a genuine kindness. In the shop i believe there to be top notch craftsman who will diagnose amd fix any issue yoir having but the most important aspect is the honesty when it comes to the issues your having. Inside there marleting team is right on par as well. The young women running the counter as well as the gentleman are both very educated on part numbers and I dont know but over the years im sure have developed relationships woth companies so that hard to find piece from your 1976 mower well you ask wother of these two and they will 9 times put of ten know what you need before you do. ill have it be known whilw i am a former employee, its been years and i know when my power washer needed to be fixed for a side job the interaction I had here was pleasant. This buisness has withstood the test of time, amd i think perry hall lawn equipment is a mainstaple of this community qith every member who works there being master of thier craft and if i ever need another item fixed I will forsure bring it here.

Only place I go for mower or small engine repairs. You need it they got it at fair price. I drive 15 miles one way to go there and do it anytime And most of that is 695. So you know they ok.

Called yesterday for a fuel pump, was given a price based on the exact model number and spec number. When I arrived this morning to pick up the part the price magically quadrupled! Said someone made a mistake, this part sells everywhere else both online and nearby for within $5 of the original quoted price. This company was simply trying to take advantage.

I purchased an lawn mower , and a snow blower both have no problems, people are friendly and got a fair price.
Friendly service. I ordered a yard and a half of gravel delivered and it was a little short but I was still able to get by. Delivery driver was able to dump exactly where I wanted.
Over priced
Our company took a generator to Parry Hall Lawn Equipment for warranty repairs. They were on the list as a repair facility for the generator. After one month of doing nothing, I called the generator company to complain that the repair facility still hadnt done anything with our generator. The generator company called and got the repair facility working on the generator. After 2 months and multiple calls to them, we finally got the generator back. Months later, they tried billing us for parts of their bill that the warranty company wasnt paying. I directed them to the generator company but they decided to sue us in court. With one call to the generator company, we got the bill settled and they issued a check for the unpaid balance. The lawsuit was never dropped. We appeared in court with evidence that the bill had been paid and we were unjustly brought into the lawsuit as a customer. They failed to appear further wasting our time. They continued in their poor service mode and used their customer as a debt collector. The generator has since failed again due to their poor workmanship. Another repair facility fixed the generator the second time without issues. This repair facility gave us incompetent and poor service from start to finish with our situation. Avoid major headaches and avoid this repair facility.
Good Experience - Friendly, fairly priced, on-time, high quality soil. In September 2013 I ordered 6 yards of topsoil from PH Lawn Equipment. They delivered the soil on time, despite having difficulties with their truck. They didnt mind backing up my narrow driveway and putting the soil exactly where I wanted it. The man on the phone and the driver were both friendly. The quality of the topsoil was great, it was well-screened. Fair price too. No complaints.
