They mowed the lawn fine but left grass clipping everywhere. Was unable to get a hold of anyone to answer questions about our service. Lack of communication was a big red flag. We decided to go in a different direction after week 1.

They leave clippings everywhere, don t trim appropriately around drainage/obstacles in the yard. Communication isn t great. They force you to get weed care which is absurdly expensive (more than $200). $47/weekly mowing *with* a military discount is kind of a joke. Definitely not worth the money considering the sloppiness. Gave them a chance to address it, but it s time to take my business elsewhere.

Do not use this company. They will not start your system correctly and damage your property.

Communication is slow and difficult.

Lawn has never looked so poorly. Was told it would take awhile for the natural fertilizer to work. Even with all the moisture this summer my grass has never looked so poorly. Techs spend little time applying product too. Probably like all businesses, lack of employees needed to do a good job.

They always text me the night before they come. My lawn looks amazing and green. I never have any weeds and they make it so easy to maintain!

I contacted BestYard to get an estimate for ongoing routine lawn care maintenance + help with a lawn restoration project. Last year the city road guys came in and repoured a segment of curb and did a lot of damage to my lawn in the process (huge holes, lots of cement left in my soil). In addition, that segment of lawn would need more intense help because it already had a lot of weeds + patches of dead grass. When I tried to contact them, they were very happy to send me back an invoice and get me to give them my credit card info to bill me, but told me it would be $120 to come give me an estimate for the project. Never heard of a business charging for an estimate before but needless to say they must care about that $120 more than acquiring a new customer. When I asked about this, they stopped responding. I guess if you dont immediately give them their credit card info, they dont care about you at all. EDIT: The owner has asked me to edit my review because it doesnt reflect their business practices. When they offer to come by and give me an estimate that doesnt cost $120 I will edit my review.

Bestyard are busy people, you may have to wait for their services as they are booked up. But its worth it. The team are thorough and really clean up after themselves, I found the staff to be friendly and efficient, and would definitely recommend them.

I have used Best Yard for several years to start up my sprinkler system in the spring and blow it out in the fall. They have also helped me with repairs to the sprinkler system a few times and are always very professional, timely and easy to deal with. I highly recommend their services!

While I enjoy taking care of my yard, there are some things that I just do not have the equipment for and Best Yard has stepped in and provided those services. I have used them for aeration and sprinkler blowouts and both services were done quickly and at a high level. Their technicians are always professional and listen to my input. I plan to continue using their services and would recommend them to anyone with lawn and landscaping needs!

Already lined up for year two of Christmas Lights, BestYard came out to clean up pine needles. They were fast and efficient.

The actual service they provide is 5 stars. We have used them for a yard cleanup, weeding, irrigation shut off, & lawn care. The team is very nice & gets the job done well. Where Ive lost my patience is the admin side of the company. Their website gives 3 options to contact them: a phone number, email, or a contact form through the website. Their website states they will contact you within 24 hrs. but having used all the above methods multiple times this has never been the case for me. Ill use this one example to illustrate how requesting a service has gone for me in many other instances. I approved an estimate for a Fall Yard Cleanup on July 29th 2022 & was told to contact the company to schedule it once my yard was ready (pine needles & leaves fallen etc.). I started with sending them an email on Oct 29th which got no response. From there I placed 4 different calls to the phone number on their website. 1 or 2 of those times I had to leave a voicemail & the remaining instances I was told I would receive a call back confirming I had been scheduled. 3 business days after my 4th call as of Thanksgiving week, I have yet to hear anything from the office. Maybe these reviews will motivate them. I have a full time job & do not have time to babysit a company to do what theyve committed to. This company had been set to get a lot of future business out of me when I first found them but their lack of response will be sending my money to a competitor. I wouldve used them yearly for my yard cleanups & weeding, as well as updating our lighting system. We had also wanted to use them for our home Xmas lights but went with another company because they never responded to my contact attempts. The only things Im willing to stick with them for is my irrigation shut on/off & the lawn care since that seems pretty streamlined & requires little contact. Everything else Ill be going to another company in 2023 since this one has no interest in setting up services with me. 12/7/22 Updating my star rating from 1 to 2 stars due to the fact that Best Yard did come to do the Fall Yard Cleanup as promised today. As with all the actual services Ive received, the result is perfect & my yard looks fantastic (hence the increase in star rating). However, it doesnt take away from the hassle Ive experienced trying to coordinate on the office side of things (see previous review). For what its worth, the owner said that this has been their worst year with being short staffed, illness, etc. However, my issue has always been lack of communication in booking with the office not any aspect beyond that piece of the business & I dont know how much this explanation covers those negatives.

Completed my winter irrigation service. Service was on time, efficient, and performed without issue. Will definitely use them again. Also treated my lawn for weed prevention in the spring. Just did my spring pre-maintenance. Weed control and control for mites. Service was timely and efficient. They continue to deliver as promised

We purchased a home where the yard had been severely neglected. Two seasons later and we have a great looking lawn.

I have been using BestYard for several years. Every Fall they blow out the water from my sprinkler system and turn on my water in the Spring. They are always friendly. They show up on time and do a great job of making sure that all of my sprinklers are working properly. One of my zones is not working properly and they will be coming back soon to fix the problem. This is a service that is well worth the money.

Ive been a customer of BestYard for several years. I have a big yard with a lot of landscaping and they take care of the lawn maintenance and gardening for me. They are reliable , their crews pay attention to the details of their work and they always do an excellent job. I highly recommend !

The young man who (got there early and went right to work) came to do my repair was friendly and professional. After they finished my repair, he checked my entire sprinkler system to make sure it was all working properly. I will use this company again!

This company did an amazing job! My wife and I had our backyard landscaped by a different company last year and more than half of our vegetation didnt survive. Chris came out and walked the property with me twice to strategize on how to bring the space back to life. Once we came up with a plan he worked with me very closely on materials to ensure we got what we wanted. Even with as busy as this time of year can be, he had a team out to complete the job in one day. The yard looks gorgeous and Im incredibly pleased with how the process ended up. Not to mention he kept us under budget. Id strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for similar services.

Our regular landscaper was unavailable, so I thought Id give Best Yard a try for a ONE-TIME service because it was close by. They did a so-so job of aerating, but after the work, they placed us on a scheduled rotation against our knowledge or consent. Their one saving grace is that they texted me the day before they would arrive, so I was able to cancel before I incurred a charge I did not consent to, and they told me that they cancelled the rotation schedule. That was last October. Now, it is July, and I get another text today telling me theyre coming by tomorrow. That makes two times they have scheduled a service without my consent. I guess they didnt actually take us off the rotation despite an adamant phone call. The kicker is that we sold that house in May and I doubt the new owners would have appreciated strangers on their lawn.

We have a larger-than-average sized yard. 3,500sf of grass, 30+ trees, 40+ shrubs/bushes, and more. I was looking for a company that understands what it takes to maintain a healthy and attractive landscape (trees, shrubs, lawn, lighting, etc) especially throughout our dramatic seasonal differences here in Colorado ... not just someone who can mow grass. Chris and his team at BestYard is exactly that. During my first meeting with Chris, I let him know that there was some repair work that needed to be done from the prior landscapers shortcomings (including many trees and shrubs that needed to be replaced and irrigation lines that needed to be fixed and calibrated). After that, I wanted someone who knows what needs to be done and when, so I dont have to think about it. I just want to enjoy my yard. Chris and his team are extremely knowledgeable, incredibly professional & accommodating, very thorough, and always prompt, responsive and respectful. Their services are top-notch and performed at a very reasonable price.

Best Yard does what they say they are going to do and when they say. Its refreshing to have a lawn care service that does what they say they will do! We have them spray for weeds quarterly and our weeds have disappeared! We like that they use non toxic spray. We have lots of animals running around and it is safe for them an hour after the application. They listen when I have questions or concerns and respond quickly.

I can t really complain about Best Yard. The only thing that I didn t notice after it being done a few times was weed control on our yard. I have been a customer since BestYard merged with Rocky Mountain Landscape years ago. They take care of all my lawn needs; sprinklers on and off, aeration, mowing, trimming, fertilizer. You name it, they do it. I have had Chris himself come out on the one time something was wrong. I love that theyre five minutes away and the customer service is outstanding. BestYard is great! I used them all last somer and Im using them again this year!. They really make our yard look great. Although it would be a small thing to most, but is a big deal to me is this: My boys will sometimes leave toys in the yard after Ive cleaned it up to get mowed. If there is a weather issue, they are in communication about when they will be out next. In a world that has become increasing less about keeping your promises and providing excuses, Best Yard does what it says it will do. (2) Their service people acknowledge us with a wave or come to our door to tell us they will be applying something to the grass and remind us to keep our pet off for a period of time. I sent out requests for quotes to a couple different lawn care companies. Best Yard was the only one who replied promptly and with a reasonable price. I really appreciated how they were able to get me on the schedule the day after I called so my lawn got attention right away! The lawn looks great and they are very responsive.

Whether you want a few weeks or want to stay on for a few years, BestYArd is accommodating-I ve done both. They have serviced my yard in the past and I started services again. I m kind of picky about trim and edging I found one tiny area upon start up not trimmed, wrote in, and BestYard fixed the issue and it never happened again. Excellent customer service. They either don t pay attention or don t care. They did the job half way and forget the rest. What they did do looked good. If all you need is a lawn mowed your probably ok with Best Yard. Anything else I recommend finding someone else. I have used them for 3 weeks. After 1st service expressed concern that job was half done to their office. Second week again half done. Third week half done. There won t be a week 4 a new company has already handled. 8-2-19 Thanks for your reply and accepting responsibility. It seems like a pattern though.... it s been 7 days and we haven t received the gift card to cover the difference between contracted amount and what was actually done as you Posted in you reply. December 2019 - My husband and I are so very happy to have found BestYard for our landscaping needs. As the years go by, we have found we really hate to clean up all the leaves in our yard especially since we have about 20 trees in a small, enclosed yard. For the second year, BestYard have come and removed the leaves. The staff are so helpful and very, very quick to respond to calls or emails. Of course, with all the snow we have had this fall it was a challenge scheduling a time when the yard was clear of snow and ice. I just kept in touch via email and let them know when it was clear, and they put us on the schedule. Typical for Colorad, the day they came it started spitting a little snow!! Despite that the BestYard team got our back yard cleaned up in no time. Now, if the front yard ever melts, I ll let them know and we will be set for spring!! June 2019 - This weekend my husband and I were doing our spring gardening mowing the lawn, deadheading some leftover fall blooms and prepping our water feature. We have to say, we were both delighted that we had chosen Best Yard to take care of our fall leaf cleaning last November and again in December! We really appreciated the advance personal visit to our yard to see what was needed. And, as we were traveling when the first leaf cleaning happened, we loved receiving photos of the completed work!! What an amazing difference it made to have a completely clean back yard this spring And what a delight it was to not have to take care of the leaves ourselves last year. I have waited 5 weeks for them to come aerate my lawn. I was on their auto renew list and was hoping this meant they would come get the work done but after 2 calls and 5 weeks of waiting Ill find someone less expensive and more reliable .

Dont use this company. Their arrogant attitude puts themselves first instead of making scheduling easier for the customer. Melissa in the office is super slow in responding. You will wait up to a week to have your phone call or email answered...and up to a month for the actual service to be done. If they are that busy they need to hire more crew. Twice, I tried to meet with their design person Ashley - but she was also extremely slow to respond. Once I had to reschedule a large bid due to a family emergency and she didnt call me back for four days. Inexcusable! As the author of six books on the Customer Experience (see Amazon) I know these kinds of companies eventually evaporate while their urgent-minded competition flourishes. We have been using BestYard for years! I love the convenience of them scheduling everything from fertilizing to aeration, to sprinkler blowouts without me having to contact them. They are very organized and knowledgeable and always seem to know how to fix issues we may have. Our grass is always in tip top condition!

This company has excellent customer service. They are helpful and kind. When my sprinkler system broke while on vacation, the water co was going to charge me a fortune. Tara said shed write a letter to help reduce my water bill explaining what went wrong with our system. I would highly recommend them as this kind of customer service to go above and beyond these days is very rare.

Their employees need to learn to drive and not make lefts into oncoming traffic causing vehicles to lock their brakes to avoid a collision.

Extremely disappointed with the service we have received from Best Yard. We chose to hire them based on reading all of the great reviews online. First issue we had was trying to get ahold of anyone to signup. They have on their website that they will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your request. This is a lie. It took me two weeks and leaving several messages to finally speak to someone, and it was only because they answered when I called back. We decided to prepay for the whole year of services and wanted to go all in (aeration, fertilizer, mowing, weed control, crabgrass prevention). In total, we spent almost $1400 with them. The first week they came to mow they didnt trim and completely skipped our back yard. I had to call to have someone come back out and they still didnt trim around our trees. The next week they skipped even though the weather was fine. I called to ask what was going on and they told me they were still trying to catch up from the snowstorm (two weeks prior). I let it slide and remained optimistic. They mowed on time the next week. The week after that, it rained on the day they were supposed to mow, so I figured they would come the next day as they had told me when we hired them. That unfortunately was not the case. I called again and was given excuses about catching up because of weather. The next week, it was sunny on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, half of Thursday and half of Friday. For some reason they skipped us AGAIN... Because of catching up from weather. My wife has never cared too much of what our yard has looked liked, but even for her, our yard has never looked worse. Im not doubting that they know what they are doing, they are just EXTREMELY inconsistent and lack any sort of communication skills. We never know if they will mow or not from week to week. It baffles me that every other review I see is praising them for constant communication. Unfortunately our yard has grown beyond me feeling comfortable waiting another week for them. We paid for their services so we wouldnt have to worry about yard care and could spend more time as a family. Since Best Yard doesnt seem to care about our business, I have had to mow our yard so we dont get fined by our HOA.

I used Rocky Mountain last year and was pleased initially ... but when they merged with Best Yard/Weed Man this year, the service has been awful. Yard wasnt mowed on a regular basis, and after repeated calls, I was never given a definite date of when they could mow the grass. (My grass has never looked this bad.) However, they managed to deduct payments from my account promptly. Would not recommend. Others in my subdivision have had similar experiences. It is hard to find good, dependable help these days. Sad. The receptionist though is very nice. They need to clone her but she cant fix poor operations. They use the excuse of weather and holidays but they are just understaffed and in my opinion have taken on too much, too soon. My next door neighbor has a lawn service and they have managed to cut his grass every week and on time. I will be calling them.

They are rude and impatient! I was pulling out of a parking space, looked around for anyone coming by when one their drivers honks at me as he is trying go around me with his trailer as I am half way out of the spot. There were three other witness who saw this happening. He continued to honk at me and drive forwards almost hitting me just so he can get out of the parking lot Into a restaurant parking space across the street! As a reminder I had the right away of backing out and was already half way out. As a company and company employees when driving a car with your logo on it, you are representing your company. If you are an aggressive driver that is showing others around you that your company is going to act the same way! If need be, remind your employees how to drive by giving them the Colorado drivers manual and test them on it.

I like the fact that they do several services and call a day ahead to let you know when they come out.

My lawn has never looked so good. Employees are always courteous on the phone and in person. Had a few miscues on scheduled service this summer, but most of the time technicians are on time. Get the best price by buying a prepaid package.

Our lawn looks so much better than it used to look. They do a great job and the technicians are friendly. The only reason I didnt give a 5 is because a couple of times, they treated the neighbors yard instead of ours. They did come back and do our yard though, so it was a bonus for my neighbor.

Good service for those that dont want to do their own fertilization schedule. Works very smooth. You get a call the day before the service letting you know to expect them. They show up as expected and leave the bill on the door to be paid online. Nice to know that my yard is getting the nutrients it needs. Had been struggling with the grass growth in my backyard until signing up with BestYard but it really has taken well to their care. My front yard has still been struggling a little and Im not quite sure why. Overall a good set it and forget it service for those that want a nice lawn without the effort.

Great people to work with!!! From the back office to management to the hard working technicians that take care of your lawn. I had a major, I mean major, crabgrass problem. Like everyone else, I tried to do it alone by going down to the hardware store and buying all the preventive applications and fertilizer myself. Not worth it! Doesnt work! To truly get a great looking lawn - - you need experts who have the best treatments AND the knowledge to know when to apply them. My lawn has never looked better! Im going for the Coors Field look next year. O.K. - maybe not possible but pretty darn close! Save yourself the time, expense and lack of results by using BestYard. Not the cheapest - - but absolutely the BEST!!!

BestYard has been servicing my yard for several years now. I can count on them to do the fertilizer, weed application, and fall aeration. They are friendly, prompt (weather permitting!) and always leave an invoice for their services in the door. I like this because then I know theyve been there and what date/service Im paying for.

Great Service. Quick and efficient. They always clean up after themselves. I am also always notified via phone call if crew cannot make it out due to weather.

This is my first season using Best Yard. Ive generally been very happy with the service. The quality of the mowing and trimming has been very good. Ive used other companies, and their service was far inferior to Best Yard. Best Yard is easily the best lawn service Ive used to date. If I had to gripe about something, its that when they are bring their mowers back through the front yard after leaving my back yard, they always kick river rocks into the grass and never throw them back with the other rocks. Also, Id say Ive only gotten my yard serviced on the scheduled day about 50% of the time. Early in the season when it was raining alot, I completely understand. But the past 2 weeks weve had very little rain, and they were still behind schedule. In fact, Im scheduled on Thursdays, but didnt get a mow until Tuesday this last week. These are minor issues however, and the quality of their work overcomes these small issues for me. And for what its worth, it would be a GREAT idea to abandon the name Weed Man. My credit card statement shows the name Weed Man, and I have to do some redacting before I submit my credit card statements for expense reimbursement at work. Here in Colorado, Weed Man can mean something completely different, and I would prefer not to have to explain to my work or my wife why there is a charge on my credit card statement to a weed man!

Great service. Weed Man is reliable and does good work. They show up when you expect them, always polite, give you a bill when theyre done. They also provide a lawn audit a couple times a year to let you know if you have any infestations (like chinch bugs) or lawn diseases that need to be dealt with. Weed man is a continuous service, so they will continue servicing your lawn from year to year unless you call them to cancel.

I moved into the Castle Rock area in October from Breckenridge. The previous homeowner gave me BestYard/WeedMan contact information. I called them to cut the grass and at a later date I had them winterize the yard. This company responded quickly and did an outstanding job. They have great employees who know all about lawns.
