Paid lots of money this year for TruGreen. The last three months it started turning brown and weedy, and then skunks starting tearing up our yard looking for grubs per our TG technician. All the while TruGreen has ghosted us. So we wasted money on yard that looks like a disaster. Boo TruGreen!!!

Every Wednesday I get a message that they will be arriving on Thursday. Every week I call and say again do not come on Thursdays, this is the day I have the lawn cut and the next week it all repeats. Text on Wednesday that they will be arriving Thursday and more phone calls with incompetent staff. As the famous quote goes Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results ; well use TruGreen and you will eventually go insane.

Appointment was on time, when I was told it would be. I got a text the day before as I was told I would. Lawn expert knocked on the door and talked to us about what he was going to do. Overall I got the feeling that communication and questions were completely welcome and I had to call TruGreen twice and both times they answered the phone quick and answered my questions.

Curtis rang our door to let us know he was here bright and early for the mosquito service. He thoughtfully asked about my flower gardens as he wanted to make sure that he did not disrupt my pollination gardens. Thank you Curtis!!!

Trugreen should really be called truBROWN! The last trugreen application chemically burned my lawn!! My lawn was a beautiful rich green color, then a trugreen agent came and put down fertilizer, weed control, and grub control all at the same time when it really should of been spaced out so this browning wouldnt happen! I cant trust trugreen to come back and treat my lawn again after what they did. I paid them a lot of money to NOT burn my lawn.

I have only 1 Tree and 3 Shrubs in front of my home and I value the service because they all flower in the spring. Their scent is lovely and people have stopped to take pictures. Anything that may keep the health of my landscape is worth while investment. We had such a mild winter, I had the Horticulture Oil applied to my bushes. I hope to get ahead of any insects that may start sooner this year. Thanks TruGreen.

Customer service (Madison) is very rude. Refused to give corporate # so that I could contact regarding my refund. Told me the supervisor (Shanna or Shonny) instructed ger not to give me the # because I had already called. I spoke to her on 5/10/23 regarding my refund and she disputed everything I conveyed to her from my previous calls about the refund. Told me she was going to speak with AP and call me back, but she never did. Apparently, there is a lack of communication within, because on my initial call I was told the refund was sent to the card I used at the time. However, the card was inactivated due to loss. I would not utilize their service again, or recommend it, even after receiving the refund. The way I was treated was upsetting and the weed service was ineffective. Also, they call you back to retain you and try to set you up by telling you your due for another service. When I declined he told me, just want to let you know you have a free treatment service. Had I went for the lie, I would have received a charge. The are so thirsty and deceitful. The whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. Dont trust them!

Please tell your drivers to put the sign that says my lawn was sprayed down by the sidewalk where people can see it, especially when they re walking their dogs. He put it up by the house, which is not anywhere near the front sidewalk.

This was our first treatment for this year. So too early to tell how the lawn is looking but the specialist who came by was great . He took the time to make sure he didn t miss any areas of my lawn . He did a great job !

Ive been hearing about Trugreen for years and am now a customer for two years. Boy, do they live up to the hype. I have the best lawn on my block thanks to my lawn care specialist, John C. On today s report he commented, I removed all the toys from the grass before treating . BIG THANK YOU for caring about my kids. Its caring like this that will keep me a customer for life.

This person just walked over our tulips that were just emerging, he broke the plants either with his hoses or his feet. When my wife asked him to be more careful he was inconsiderate.

I use this service for couple of years now and I am glad I decided to use them. Micheal F. is very professional (for trees and bushes service), always thorough, attentive, and gives me valuable advices. Lawn service is great as well, now it started to look like a well-maintained lawn with much thicker and greener grass, and only few weeds there and there (it used to be half weed, half grass lawn, lol).

I know Rome wasn t built in a day, so I m looking forward to all these treatments to start working and taking care of the weeds in the lawn!!

So far this year they serviced our lawn three times the price went up and the service went down. I don t recommend Trugreen to anybody. Their service is horrible. Their customer service is horrible. I told him if they keep this up, they ll be out of business within two years.

This person walk in and I show him the back yard infested with weed and he took care of it right away and advice me to call the office if the weeds situation are not improving in a week or so and they will send someone to take care of it.

Wow. Unbelievable. My family used TruGreen and loved it. I started my service with them in June and it has been horrible trying to get ANYTHING done. I paid for a year up front. They have horrible customer service, over charged my credit card, missed services. If I hadnt already paid for it I would end my services. In fact, Im on track to put a charge back since they are not providing the paid services. Update 5/30/23 - They just put through an unauthorized charge on my card. Ridiculous.

I have a 10 foot by 15 patch of backyard that is mostly missing grass. Why hasnt TruGreen seen this and spoken with me about it? I assumed that a full lawn was a part of what I am paying for... the front lawn looks amazing, but part of the back is mud.

Drivers and staff are Not professional. They dont care about you at all. I was almost hit by one of their drivers who was not paying attention while driving into a gas station. Their Park Ridge customer service refused to share their dashcam video even though I showed them my own video. I was called racial slurs by the driver and he threatened me and my family. Mark, the local rep, rationalized the drivers violent behavior and tried to downplay the whole incident. He became defensive when I asked to see the video and was quick to swap back that its proprietary information when I almost got killed by his driver. The whole conversation he was on the defensive and trying to de-escalte the situation. I will be going to the police now. BEWARE THIS CROOKED COMPANY!

I have been a long time customer of TruGreen but wanted to take the time to write a great review since I have been quite satisfied for years. What I have always liked is that if weeds popped up in between applications, I would call and they would always come out and take care of the problem. Recently, when the technician came out to spray for weeds, he over sprayed in spots and damaged some of the grass. I called and talked with Chris A. (supervisor) and he immediately came out to look at the problem. He took care of the issue to my satisfaction and was a wealth of information moving forward about lawn care. I highly recommend this service! You will not be disappointed!!

The technician applied fertilizer within a minute and a half. I feel like it was very rushed. Technicians should take their time and make sure that every square inch of the lawn is being fertilized.

I got a phone call, mail n email regarding the service so I want to give it a try..I paid for whole year service for lawn n pest control but no news after 1 month. I called n asked so they just make appointment but no one show up on appointment date..very unprofessional so I cancel all services. Trugreen not deserve a star for unprofessional customer service.

I would NOT recommend this company at all ! In the two weeks I must have complained 12 times for services not promised, late appointments and total lack of communication. Someone arrived at my house and before I could open the door to discuss the service the driver pulled away and seconds later I received a bill for $209 ! I contacted Truegreen. Immediately to file a complaint and never heard back, I disputed the charge with my credit company the same day. Today six months later I received a notice from a collection agency for that $209. I will post this review every month to alert any prospective consumers of this business.

Since I started using trugreen, I no longer have weeds on my property and the grass is growing thicker. I would definitely recommend their services.

The customer service people are useless. Charged us when they said they wouldnt on multiple occasions. Less than desirable results as well.

The service has been great, all questions answered and my lawn looks much better than it did last year when I moved into the house. The service technician made several suggestions regarding mower settings and watering that have also improved the look of my lawn over the course of this season. I have been using TruGreen for many years and have been pleased with their services. Tree and bush technician made an extra trip to look at my trees and explain the cause of the browning leaves. My concerns were alleviated.

We started with TruGreen 3 years ago with the hope that our lawn would improve. We can say that at last our grass is thick and healthy and a beautiful green. The bare spots are gone and so are the weeds! Best decision we ever made!

Beware before you begin service with True Green. Horrible service, They give you a Bill and didn t even service your property(proved to mgr with camera system). I cancelled their services in October 2020 and I get a notification that I m schedule for more service. I can t even get in touch with a human, got to wait for a call back in 1-2 hours for something I ve canceled ?!!! Every aspect of this company is HORRIBLE. Please save yourself time, stress and money and go elsewhere!!

You would be better off inviting the mafia in your home. These guys dont know how to accept no for an answer. Worse than breaking up with a bad girlfriend. I wound up doing more to fix my lawn than trugreen ever would. Then they keep calling and calling and emailing...

I am trying to make a change in our service plan. When I call the customer service phone number I am told it is a 3 HOUR wait! Then when I log into my online account, there are 98 people ahead of me to chat. There is no way to communicate with TruGreen. They make it impossible! Horrible, horrible customer service.

I try to get some answers from the company with no results! I was interested to find out who is my salesperson for my property. But they are not wheeling to provide me with the answer. My original salesperson he is either retired or no longer with the company! Same,same!???

Over the past 2 years there service has become very suspect. Upon cancelling there services this spring I let them talk me into 4 applications for a better price if I pre paid. They received payment 2 months ago and have yet to receive 1 treatment. They keep pushing back the treatment. Called today to get a refund and spent 40 minutes getting bounced around there call center. I will try again tomorrow. Buyer be warned this is not the same True Green that used to have a good reputation. Very poor customer service all the way around now.

Trugreen is the worse company to deal with in the world. Do not sign up with them you will never get off their service and they just keep adding services to your bill and performing them without authorization.and you can handle everything you want on their website except cancelling service - then you have to wait on hold forever then the representative never takes action or puts any notes in the file that you called so you have to start the process all over again. This is all by design - i have been trying to cancel service with this company for two years and they just show up and start billing you and adding service even though you have said you dont want them. DO NOT Do BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE _ YOU WILL REGRET IT AND NEVER BE ABLE TO STOP THEIR SERVICES AND BILLING _ ITS ALL BY DESIGN

One star is way to many. Had a problem with my lawn. Called to have someone to look at it . It was looked at 3 times. First 2 said I had a some sort of disease something I already knew. The 3 time was the best yet. A supervisor who looked at my lawn and asked me so what do you want me to do about it. I spent several hundred dollars for that. Take my advice and find anyone else

Lawn worse

They have killed all my flowers. My expensive English roses. I have asked them multiple times not to spray my flowers. No regards and kept doing it. All of my flowers are now dead.

Definitely not punctual. They called us three separate times with a message that they would be out in a day or two to do core aeration. Never showed up finally two weeks after the first message after we left an irate phone call. Will not use them again. We had to call for fertilization when they missed coming out earlier in the summer as well. They just finished the aeration today and they missed doing our very small backyard.

I should have looked at reviews prior to signing a contract. Tru Green came 2x to my home and aerated, fertilized and seeded bare patches on the lawn. 4+ weeks later, there has been no growth whatsoever, mild greening of the lawn, and its covered with dandelions and clover. Ive subsequently had to do my own seeded and pulled close to 100 weeds personally. Upon cancellation, I was advised that I would be receiving 30% of my initial outlay in return. Apparently, aeration of 750 sqft costs $194. Lousy service, price gouging and quite a poor return on investment. Buyer beware.

pre-paid and without warning started getting billed for the last 2 times they came out. Apparently my pre-payment services ran out and they AUTO RENEWED my account without warning. No chance to pay up front again. Mobile app states I have 1 service left. I wont even go into the fact that my lawn has weeds everywhere!!! They told me a manager would contact me to discuss...Julissa called left a voicemail and call back number that just leads to their 1800 auto menu system that since I cancelled Im no longer a customer. Unbelievable.

I contracted with Trugreen for Pest Control after finding a grub, on an adjoining neighbors sidewalk. Figure stop the pest before it becomes a big problem. After a couple months of Trugreen Pest Control, I noticed the lawn getting worse. Called Park Ridge customer service, Aaron who has the manager call me. I ask Charles, the manager for Tru Green, to meet. Want him to see the lawn and try to determine what is causing the lawn to brown out. Charles advises me he has had many customers with the same complaint. Charles refuses to meet with me and tells me once the temperatures get cooler the lawn will return to normal. Charles refuses my request to meet and see the lawn situation. Time is short, first chance I get, I check the lawn. Pull up one brown patch and find a grub. Pull up a second and third brown patch and more grubs. No way would the lawn go back to normal in cooler temperatures. The only thing that might happen is the grubs mature and burrow deeper into the soil in colder weather. To rise again the next Spring. The lawn is damaged permanently where the grubs did their damage. ADDITIONALLY previously I called Aaron in Park Ridge. Told him Trugreen truck had pulled up and serviced a lawn across the street from our house. They had NOT come to our house to apply any Pest Control. The extent of the grub damage tells me this has been going on for a while. I was paying and someone else got the service. Charles, the manager, refusing to meet to assess the damage and telling me other customers have the same problem, wait for cooler weather is blatant ignorance of lawn care. He may be better suited to another business. The calls described above where not the only attempts for remedy. Various customer service people misrepresented what was included in the Pest Control service. One rep said mosquito control included. The following week I get a mailer offering mosquito control. Tru Green needs to perform the service they are contracted for. Get more educated customer service reps who know what is included in their service packages.

This is by far the worst company I ve ever dealt with. Last year I paid in full for full treatment of my lawn including aeration and grub treatment. They never did the aeration or grub treatment when I called they told me it would be done in the spring even though they originally told me it would be done in the fall. Then I get a bill in April for the last service which I never ordered! I called up to complain and they told me their services are continuous . I tiold them they never completed the previous service and he tells me the aeration was done in the fall.! I will never use these scam artists again and I recommend no one does!

I love Trugreen. Before Trugreen I had plenty of weeds throughout the year. I would have to spend hours trying to remove them and it was a battle that I could never win. With Trugreen my lawn looks beautiful and is weed free. If I ever see any weeds I can call them and they will schedule another visit to take care of it at no additional cost. The first few years I did have to call a lot but after that now I rarely have to call. If you buy fertilizers yourself it will cost you more than Trugreen. Highly recommend Trugreen. No matter how bad your lawn is their service will fix it

Due to rain when a recent application was applied, a phone call got the missed application performed within a few days .

This is my first year with TruGreen but I have seen a noticeable improvement in the quality of grass and weeds are virtually gone.

This was the first year I went with TruGreen because I was losing the battle with crabgrass and creeping Charlie! I am now on the road to recovery and hopefully the Creeping Charlie will be gone by fall 2020.

Yes Ive been using turf Green lawn for a couple years now but this year I asked but when they came out to spray the first part of spring I waited like I normally do four hours before I let my dogs out well after they got through spraying my dogs got sick I have paid now over $2,000 to try to keep my dogs alive one I had to put to sleep last month due to the poison or whatever it was that you put in your lawn spraying Ive never had this problem with you and now I have my other puppy shes about to die so Im going to have to take her and put it asleep its all because of her great

I would never hire TRU GREEN!!! I live in Park ridge IL. I paid a sales men lets call him Pat and I paid for full service grass and bushes the were not getting done then when I called PAT THREE TIMES and did not get a call back, so I called to cancel but they talked me into keeping the bush service so I gave them a chance what a mistake. TRUGREEN did only the front half of the bushes the over sprayed my windows and mailbox with poison to control bugs and days went by with no phone call and still waiting to get it cleaned.

Terrible service, trampled plants, broke gate, oversprayed causing brown spots. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Service is a joke they dont do what they say they will,the work done looks as tho a child did it had aeration done they missed huge spots with no care I should have stayed with weedman.

I was solicited by a sales man who can to my door and gave me his entire sales pitch and sold me on the idea that TruGreen would Make my lawn entirely weed free and be thick and beautiful. They sent out their team on two occasions and rather than seeing a reduction in weeds as promised there were in fact more weeds than there were before. I called to cancel my service and I was pressured to keep the service by them offering to send out another team to re-do the previous service for free and the next two would be half price. After the 3rd service there was still no change in the amount of weeds we had in our lawn. So I canceled the service. Over the following week I was bombarded with sales calls from people asking why I stopped service and if there was anything they could do to retain my business. And finally I received a call from the billing department stating that I owed an outstanding balance of $112! I explained to them that under no circumstances was I going to pay for a service that did not do what I was promised it would do! I also explained to them that the only evidence that they had ever even been there was the sign they posted in my lawn! After fighting with 2 different customer service representatives and requesting multiple times to speak with a manger I was told there was nothing they could do as they dont offer a money back guarantee! All in all my experience with TruGreen was one of pushy salesmen and terrible customer service from a team of individuals who do not care that their service did not work as promised. My only recourse now apparently is to wait until they report it to the credit agency and dispute it with them which I wholeheartedly intend to do! If you deal with these people I hope their service works on your lawn because if it doesnt you are likely not to gain any recourse for their terrible work and will likely spend a lot of time on the phone fighting with uncaring, rude and pushy customer service! Update: BBB claim filed!
