Palm Brothers landscaping did extensive work to our new house, including planting of Palms, plants, drainage basins and laying of stone. Everything was completed as promised and Daniel communicated what he was working on with pictures as we live out of the area. Very satisfied with the finished product.
Make sure you look at the newest reviews!!!! This company will ghost you and not look back. We purchased 8 trees from Daniel. Trees were installed and most are crooked. One tree died within a couple months. Have had the run around since. Was told on several occasions tree would be replaced in April. Here we are in August and still nothing. What makes it even worse is the tree in question that died had to be sent by the company again bc Daniel decided the tree that came before was bigger than what I paid for. He sold that tree and got this one that was the same size. Turns out that’s the only size the company had but Daniel decided to sell mine and make more money instead of bringing that tree. All the trees bought was told to us they would be fine in our area. Now all the sudden his wife says she was surprised he gave us a warranty on any tree bc it’s colder where we are. I asked straight up if they were ok and Daniel said YES. Besides the one canary date palm that died we also had 3 Roballini that died also. I text Daniel on many occasions asking for care taking and hardly ever got a response. Yes he would respond to some but not many. If you buy from this nursery don’t be surprised if you get no care taking options and if something happens plan on coming out of pocket again. I will include the text from where it was supposed to be installed in June. Find a reputable palm grower and installer. Palm Brothers isn’t either!!!!! UPDATE: Still not a single word on what they owe me. Instead they are constantly listing palm trees on fb marketplace for sale. Just so happen one of the listings is Canary Date Palms that they were supposedly having issues with. Photo in pictures!! What a rip off company!!
We have purchased several landscape items from Palm Brothers. Daniel has been very helpful and informative about the palms we purchased. He went out of his way to ensure a palm was planted before our yard was blocked in by neighboring construction. Even with the event of issues he had with equipment. He kept in contact, which for me is foremost when dealing with contractors. I can understand issues, just keep me in the loop and communicate. I wish all contractors would follow this model. Keep it up Daniel. Thank you. 8/21/24 Have been trying to get in touch with Daniel now for 2 months since he planted my palm. Unfortunately This business scammed me. Took my money for 1 year of fertilization for 6 palm trees. Talked all about good customer service and customer communication. Now Daniel just ghosts any texts or emails. Don’t trust this man! 8/24/24 Not sure what is going on here, but since my previous paragraph, the owner has contacted me and assures me I am scheduled for fertilization. He has had personal issues. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and am hopeful he will adhere to his original commitment . 9/2/24 This was my most recent txt from Daniel, saying they would be here on 8/26 to fertilize palms that I have paid 1 year upfront for...STILL a "no show". This man appears to not be a man of his word. 9/6/24 Update...So....Daniel did show up today and fertilized our Palm trees. He provided an updated schedule of when he will be coming back to continue the year's worth of treatments. Nice text with an apology for the inconvenience. I wished him good luck and happy he is back in to his business. Hope it works out for him. January 10 2025 Still a no show for the months of October, November, December, and January now. He did have an employee leave a container of fertilizer for trees we transplanted that I told him we would do ourselves. However I did ask that he would continue the 3 remaining palm fertilization. No one has come. Guess I'm just out the money I paid "up front" for fertilization I will never get.

Update 12/28/24- Daniel reached out to say he had ordered a new tree for us. Unfortunately we had already gotten the tree replaced. However, Daniel said he still wanted to make things right. We came to an agreement and he followed through. We are happy with the outcome and the other 3 trees we purchased from him are beautiful and thriving! Changing my review to an overall 4 star review. Update 12/2/24- After I posted my 11/9 update, Daniel reached out to us and said he wanted to make things right. He offered 2 options. The first was to take a tree that he has but that the limbs had been cut back. The second was for him to order a new tree. He told me there would be charges associated with the new tree if he had to order it. I did not agree with this as we purchased a warranty and did not feel as though we should be charged anything. Especially after being patient and following his advice for a year. He was supposed to send a picture of the tree he already had but he never did. I’ve reached out to him 2 more times since then and he responded once to say that he was out sick and the 2nd time he didn’t respond. I told him it was urgent that we get the tree replaced as soon as possible because our HOA was not happy that the tree had looked so bad for the last year. We have no other choice but to purchase a new tree from somewhere else as we cannot continue to wait on Daniel to “do the right thing”. I would never recommend doing business with Daniel. Update 11/9/24- We have had multiple conversations with Daniel over the past 11 months about one of the palms we purchased. It has not been healthy the whole time. We purchased the warranty and the fertilization plan. He has come to our home several times to “check the tree”. His last visit was on 9/6/24. On that date, he told us that he would take over fertilization of the tree and for us to not do anything to it. It now looks worse than ever. We have ask a few times to have the tree replaced and he assured us that it was still “alive”. I’m posting pictures of the other palm that was planted the same day for comparison. We just want the tree replaced with a comparable tree because that’s what we were promised when we initially purchased. We purchased 4 palms from Palm Brothers in December of 2023. They were very professional, prompt, and have been great to respond to any questions we have had. Highly recommend them!
Palm Brothers is FANTASTIC! They have beautiful trees and plants in stock to choose from. If they don't have exactly what you want they get it for you. They can provide pictures and give you a multitude of choices. Their customer service is second to none. They're professional, prompt, and they respect your property. Where do I begin? This nursery is a family ran business for the past 20 years, and as a local is the one stop shop for plants, palms, and landscaping! To be honest Calo Nursery is the only nursery in town (not over the bridge on the beach). Their full scale landscaping and design team is the only one I’ve ever seen that lets us, the customer, design/pick out the species of plants (with professional guidance) to compliment the fresh sod Calo Nursery and Landscaping installed to finalize your project. You will not find a better priced, local nursery the Calo Nursery and Landscaping, so check it out the next time you’re in the need of plants, palms, and landscaping!

We too have given Daniel $6500 in May and after actually asking us to Venmo $1000 more to a labor contractor last week (which we did not) we haven t heard from him or the office manager. We re still holding out hope. 9-1-24. We now have about 2/3 of the project done. There s been a couple of no show days, but so far all looks good. Will update as it goes. 9-10-24. About 85% completed now. Bit of an issue with the drip system control box and water leaking from it, but Daniel is working on it. Anticipating it will be all good. Will final update when completed. 10-31-24. The project is now done and looks awesome. Much of the delay from September was on my request to allow a separate contractor time to complete a separate project. All items delivered as agreed upon.
Had this company 3 months ago do my front yard hands down a great company. Follows up well and replacing anything I am not happy with.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

BUYER BEWARE!!! I spent over $1,400 for landscaping plants. They arrived damaged and smaller in size and root size than what I d ordered. (I grew up farming- so I know what a plant root system that has been growing in the same pot for 2-3 months looks like.) Plants arrived 6 days late and they wanted to deliver to my house after it was dark outside- 20:30 at night! Daniel agreed that some plants weren t good. (Only 1out of 50 ordered was healthy- and only 49 were delivered). Dropping them back at nursery, 3 different employees refused to help me unload them. Daniel agreed that some plants weren t good , never offered refund OR exchange. They are NOT a BBB ACCREDITED BUSINESS!! As I ve researched ( obviously too late!), I ve ran into other customers and vendors who ve had bouncing checks and dying trees and plants. THOUSANDS LOST AND OWED!!!

1 of 2 Sylvester palms @$1,000 each is almost dead after 6 months that they installed. They say I didnt purchase there maintenance program so offered no suggestions.
They didnt come out to help us. we had to go get them, they couldnt answer our questions. we will not be back.

I had a large landscaping job that I was completely unsure how to tackle but Palm Brothers helped me walk through the process with ease, during which they were professional while remaining down-to-earth and were extremely accommodating when I had a change request. Once the work started, I was shocked at how quickly they transformed my yard from a tangled jungle into a manicured landscape I could be proud of! I already like shopping at the nursery but I will definitely use them again if I have any further landscaping needs.

I was impressed with how well cared for everything was, so returned a few days later to pick some up. Hard not to leave a review when youve just had a solid experience with a small business...The crew at Calo, from Daniel - the owner, to Jay and Walter, two of the crew members that worked on our front, back and side yards, took the time necessary to design, install and keep us posted on updates for the project we hired them to do. Midway through the anticipated project, we had a substantial change in what we wanted to do with our yards, and Calo stepped up to take it on, without qualm. We are from Texas and frequently buy something on our trips to remind us of our adventures. Jay, stepped up to help us leaving his duties to sell us some of the most beautiful varieties of plants that will make the neighbors jealous! It was a positive experience from start to finish. The owners are a young couple who were working right alongside their employees which says a lot about their work ethic. Plants are gorgeous, reasonably priced and well cared for! You will not find a better landscape company than Calo Farms/ Palm Brothers Landscaping & Nursery . We recently used them to completely redo both our front and backyard into a cleaner, more drought tolerant look. Not only did they knock it out of the park on the looks, they did it in record time. He took the time to explain each item and how I should plant it, and also where it would best thrive. Very kind and patient with my questions. He loaded up my wagonful into my car, too. They are awsome! I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs a landscaper. We went in and were looking at plants and that day he was measuring the yard and had a plan. Everything that they planted were ment for the area and no special care needed. Prices were spot on and they were also very flexible when things needed to be changed. Availability was a plus and they will be there after the instal to answer questions and make sure you are pleased and excited about your new back yard!

We are so thrilled with our recent purchase of several different types of Palms, a Sylvester palm and a Robelinni palm from Calo Nursery in Panama City. Brother s Daniel and Joe are the owners and they helped our dream scape come true. They are knowledgeable, reputable, reliable and on time. They stayed in touch with us from start to follow up and we will definitely be using them again for our next purchase.
We wanted a palm tree for our front yard and Calo s Nursery was recommended by a couple of different people. The trees were absolutely beautiful and we picked a 7 foot Sylvester Palm. Joe and Daniel were both so helpful. Wasn t even planning this but loved their trees so much we ended up getting a Robellini Palm for the backyard They installed them and did an awesome job. We purchased their maintenance service and have been really happy with the results. We have had the trees now going on one year and they are both doing great. I am hoping to get some plants from Calo s in the next month. I very highly recommend them!
We have purchased from them several times over the years and have been meaning to comment for a long time. Have to say if you are wanting to upgrade your landscaping and who doesnt now-a-days, check them out, they are a good place to start, nice assortment of plants, friendly service and reasonable prices from purchase to install (if you need it)... will buy from them again!

Came in to purchase some potted palm tree and they were closed. Called the listed number and Joe came in from home to help me out. Got two Pindo and two Windmill palms and they are excellent quality. Joe tied them up and loaded them and helped cover them up on my trailer. He also gave very detailed advice for planting and care. Great selection at this locally owned business.

We love this company!! They have wonderful plants and the staff are excellent! We purchased 4 palm trees and several plants from their Panama City location on route 98 and everything we have gotten is doing great. They installed our palm trees and they did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. We highly recommend them to everyone. We will be purchasing more palms and tropical plants and would not go anywhere else!

We had a huge dead Mexican fan palm tree that needed replacing. Calo Nursery was able to get the type & size palm we needed to replace. It took a few weeks because of weather delays but when they came, they removed the dead tree & put up the new one in about an hour. Joe is very knowledgeable & gave me instructions on how to take care of the new tree. We will use them again in the future as we plan to get more palm trees for our yard.
I must have visited every nursery within a 100 mile radius and Calo, hands down, was the very best. Co-owner Daniel Persinger understands good customer service. As a former small business owner in the retail trade, I understand how important that is. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable about his plants and trees and was willing to share his expertise. There was a great selection to choose from at Calo and pricing was competitive. I highly recommend Calo.

These guys are local and family owned for over 30 years. My wife and I ordered two palms to be delivered on a Saturday and they had us installed by early Monday afternoon. We are absolutely going back for more trees and even are going to call them for landscaping services.

Wow, where do I start. It s a family owned business which I loved however, Daniel the brother who comes to the house to complete the rendering was so unprofessional and rude and lied to my face. He was supposed to get me an itemized report within 48 hours and after a month and a 1/2 of me trying to contact them he came back for a 2nd time (2 hours late) did another rendering and said he d send me the report but still never did. I spoke to him on the phone and so did my husband and he said he sent the email which I confirmed he had the correct one and explained I never received it. He told my husband he d send it the next day. The next day came and passed with no emails. I called the office and said I wanted my $75 deposit back for the rendering. Joe the other brother apologized and stated he would come to my house and do it all over again for the 3rd time. He was a little better at communicating. He sent me a quote through text and said he d start the following week. Well the following week came and went and nothing. Then he said he d be there Saturday and still a no show. Supposedly something happened on a job site but he d call me on Monday to schedule another date. Monday came and went and nothing. Through my training and experience as a police officer, Daniel appeared to be under the influence. I think the entire business does not know how to communicate with clients. Such a waste of time. This process started in July and it s now October. Now I have to deal with finding another company and deal with our HOA even further. If you don t want thousands of $ from us then fine. I would never recommend this family owned business.
I needed specific plants for my front yard project and was having difficulty finding them. Calo nurseries didnt have was I needed but assured me they could order what I wanted and have it in quickly. Indeed they did! And the plants were beautiful and fairly priced. I will be buying from them again soon!
We went to Calo Landscaping and Joe one of the co-owners was a wonderful man to deal with. Even though there was a small miscommunication with one of the helpers at the lot, Joe made absolutely sure that we were happy and got what we wanted. He made a special trip the day before thanksgiving to come and dig and plant our Pygmy Phoenix Roebelenii Palms and some ground covering plants. I know from being in a customer service line of work, that no one is perfect and stuff happens. What makes this company ( Joe ) stand out, is how they will own a mistake and make it better. Any company can have people that do good work etc. but when most companies need to step up, they usually step back. I could not be happier with Joe, the Co-Owner of Calo Landscaping. He is a good man that stands behind his company like an honest and moral man. our Tree & Plants are beautiful and make our yard look so good. Thank you so much and we will see you in the future.
My father and I were just passing by on our way back to Georgia and happened to stop by and check out the Palms Trees. The whole staff was very attentive and made our Palm Tree purchase enjoyable all the way! Great folks with quality Palms 100% recommend!

They make what appears impossible possible. I had a huge palm tree (approx. 20 in height) needing moved. It was located inside a fence, in a corner, only inches from the fence, and near some power cables. Not only where they able to move it, but they dug it up by hand in only minutes. They were then able to lower it slowly, and lifted it over the fence with great care. Prior to transporting it they also insure they secure the branches to prevent damage. The amazing price they gave also included planting, proper alignment, trimming, fertilizing, and detailed instructions on care of the tree. The only delay in their work was due to me asking so many questions, them responding, and me advising on my amazement of their abilities. My satisfaction with this company started from the time I met the first employee, to talking to each family member who owns this business. What great interpersonal skills, abilities, long term knowledge in the business, and attention to detail. I called so many people to move my palm and they were the only ones stayed true to their word. I did find their boom truck (that did a great job) a bit weathered, but who wants to pay for all those other companies new trucks? I know this will be my go to place from now on for all their services they provide. You guys are awesome!
