Very professional, very informative and did a great job. They finished just in time for my thanksgiving party.

The estimator, John, was a great guy and got bids to me quickly. The project manager, Jonathon was persistent and although he didnt read my responses back, he was just doing what he was supposed to. The low score is because of how my patio was left with saw cut marks and no minimizing of where the old supports were. Looks crappy and I didnt care for the bs responses I got back.

So far we have had only an estimate. But John worked so well with us on what we wanted and within our price range. Hopefully it turns out great.

Travis and his crew did an outstanding job! We put in curbing and artificial turf in our backyard, and it was done in a professional and timely manner. The JNR crew showed up on time every day, did the work they said they would do, cleaned up after themselves, and gave me daily updates at the end of the day. Travis was easy to talk to and answered any questions we had. The office staff at JNR also deserve a hand. They were friendly, flexible, responded quickly to texts and emails, and scheduled us to get our project completed before an important outdoor event we hosted. The backyard looks beautiful, and has made a huge portion of our yard more usable. Ive already recommended them to a friend, and would highly recommend them to others.

We hired JNR to complete a landscaping project within a certain timeframe. SCOTT WARE, our rep, promised the deadline could be fulfilled and it wasn t. My husband had to figure it out and use cheap turf rugs to make the yard look decent for our daughter s birthday. No problem. We called the office to make sure we could complete the project anytime since we already paid the deposit. The problem: the rep, SCOTT WARE, decided to come to my house, unannounced, and proceed to attempt to come into our yard. After he couldn t get in, he then take out his phone and begins to take pictures of our yard as he peered over the gate. When I came to confront him, he ran. When my husband called, he lied. Scott said he called us. He didn t. He said he thought the backyard gate was our front door. Another lie. The company has refused all accountability and has continued to ignore facts about our communication and ignored the fact that we called to confirm the contract details. Avoid at all costs. I WON T be intimidated by the owner. My thoughts and feelings are VALID.

I cant say enough good things about JNR! I needed to put in a patio cover to cover my van and also a DG driveway. I looked online and JNR popped up often as a highly recommended company. My initially interactions were really good, however I lost contact with the person at the company that originally was helping me. I was pretty upset because I liked the proposal and actually gave JNR a 1 star yelp rating. Now most companies would not care for a single person and I thought JNR was no different. But Keith at JNR was outstanding and reached out to me by phone not only to get my project restarted, but to get it proceeding on a rapid trajectory. Ever interaction from this point was outstanding - JNR sent a fantastic person to measure the property and draw up plans, I was provided with detailed designs of the construction, and the cost was extremely fair and was below anyone else I contacted in the antelope valley. Once I approved the plans, JNR provided me with weekly updates - at no point did I feel left out of the loop. The crew that was sent over to put in my patio cover (Paris and Henry) were real professionals - they came on time each day, patiently put up with my questions, and created a masterpiece. The crew that was also sent to put in the DG did it quickly and incorporated my last minute tweaks to make sure it performed well as a driveway for my van. In sum, I sure glad Keith reached out to me when he sensed a problem. No company is perfect, but what a company does when they make a mistake shows a lot about their values and work ethic. JNR is a top notch company and corrected their mistake many times over to get me the patio cover and front landscaping that I imagined!

Had a great experience with JNR. Admin staff was responsive, friendly, and informative. We had a good in person talk about options as well as a zoom meeting. The wait for materials was long but understandable considering current state of the world. JNR checked in regularly with any updates they had. Paris, Many, and Henry on the installation team were great. They were on time and worked clean. Pergola looks great and was finished quickly. Paver cuts look sharp. Guys were friendly to interact with and hustled all day. Will recommend JNR.

Very nice job! The crew is great. Ruben was also great to work with. He had a lot of great care tips, and communicated the plan well. However I do recommend asking for a detailed/itemized contract so that you know what you are paying for. And watch over carefully. But I love the job they did and super happy. I will most likely ask them to do the maintenance on my new yard too.

This company is outstanding! The office and managers are very friendly and easy to work with. The installation crew was on time, respectful, and professional. My yard is long and curvy with odd shapes and the artificial grass was laid perfectly and the seams were treated with lots of care. If any questions or issues arise, they are on top of it ASAP. They want you to be pleased and happy with the outcome and they ll do everything possible to get it to your standards. Also, a large crew did it in record time; one long day!! But no corners were cut, it was beautifully done. Everyone wants to know who did the work and I highly recommend them. Do it now! You won t regret it!

Their positive attitudes were amazing and they worked so hard with the focus on perfection and making it just the way the customer was expecting it. The first person who came to our house was John N. He did the initial measurements of the project area and was helpful in answering a multitude of questions we had. He also gave us some ideas on how the project would come together. The second person who came to our home was Johnathan D. He came to do the final measurements and drawings of the project area. We met with him in the office to finalize all plans and to sign the contract. JNR completed my yard project back in November so this review is based on the work they completed then and the follow up on the correspondence Ive been trying to get for the plants to be replaced now. First, I want to say the staff and everyone I had the opportunity to work with throughout the process of my design and install was kind and helpful. They charge high for the work they do, so be prepared to pay a premium price. But, for insured labor, licensed professionals and other things like plant warranties its worth it...if you can get them to actually follow through on their selling points. JNR planted all of my landscaping plants, 13 in total, 3 trees and 10 plants just two days before weather temperatures dipped below freezing. I was a little shocked to learn this was their installation plan so I emailed the front desk to confirm and say, (Summed up) Hey, this seems like a bad idea...can I get a copy of the plant warranty because its going to be below freezing for a few of the days following my install? The response was very thorough, (summed up) We hear your concerns, heres a copy of the policy. Well, it was very clear a week later that at least 5 of the 10 had died with the other five on their last legs. Im well within my plant warranty time so, I emailed again to inform them. They asked for pictures. I sent pictures. They said they thought the plants had went dormant and asked me to wait until Spring. I assured them they were dead but said okay. Its Spring. I emailed again and sent the pictures of the now very, very dead plants and also the other ones that are not dead but frankly, might as well be because theyre not living their best lives on a single part that didnt die. In my email I expressed my disappointment in the work and said I wouldnt need them to give me a quote for a few more plants (asked for in December, never received) because honestly, this type of follow up on work is just not what Id expect to pay a premium for twice. To date: Nothing. No follow up email, no phone call, no response, no correspondence, no nothing. Over a two week period three emails have been sent requesting some information on how and when this is going to be fixed and not a single response. Im sad to say this but its much like another reviewer noted, theyre great right up until they get paid.

I have been in the construction industry for 25+ years. Managing and as a Union Carpenter. Why I chose an aluminum patio cover. No maintenance, no painting, no roofing, integrated rain gutter, insulated ceiling, no conduit or wires showing, overall aesthetics. Why JNR Home Improvements? Quality products, affordable considering the R.O.I. meaning once its installed there is zero maintenance and upkeep contrary to any wood patio that may crack split peel leak, and truly inferior to an aluminum patio cover. The sales team and project management team kept us in the loop throughout the entire process. This includes working through the covid pandemic affecting material delivery times outside of their direct control. They were transparent and delivered as promised. We are very happy with our beautiful patio cover their team of Craftsman completed the job within the schedule they had promised. If you are considering using JNR Home Improvements do not hesitate. They will provide professionalism and craftsmanship to every aspect of your project.

Travis (Crew Leader) and his team were professional, quick, and friendly throughout my entire installation. When looking for landscaping companies, this was the first one I came across and the first bid I got. Choosing this company was easy, their pricing is fair and they helped make suggestions for my project that actually helped me save money and still met my needs. I truly appreciate everything from JNR Home Improvements and I plan on using them again for another project.

The crew that installed my patio cover did a great job exactly as promised. Love the look of the faux wood aluminum. Will hold up much better in the desert climate than my previous 3 wooden ones. A very clean, sharp installation with full clean up.

AMAZING...We hired them last year to beautify our backyard. Recently, we needed a fence/gate installed to enclose our side yard for a dog run. Could not have asked for a better job. Paris and Manny came and knocked it out in a morning. JNR found the same materials used last year and this job looks seamless and like it was part of the original project. SO ECSTATIC. Highly recommend. JNR did a fantastic job yet again.

JNR Home improvements just finished 2 aluminum patio covers at my house. I must say the product and professionalism of JNR was top notch. It s hard to find a company from the office staff answering the phones, to the sales Person, to the installers and even the owner that is more polite and respectful than JNR. I would highly recommend them and would use them for any future projects.

Promised they would start work three weeks after signing a contract. It has been over 5 weeks and we still do not have a scheduled start date. Its excuse after excuse for the delay. Do not sign a without a completion date in the contract. Update. I finally got a scheduled date. I m not happy with the owners response. They like to pretend their sales person did not promise the installation would start 3 weeks after signing the papers. I was told a second person would come later in the week, possibly early the following week, after I signed papers to double check the measurements. They came over two weeks later. This delay has nothing to do with obtaining supplies. I was told after that their engineer would need to draw up a design, however, they were on vacation for a week adding more delay. Again, this delay had nothing to do with obtaining supplies. Yes, they keep me updated, I never denied that. I m not an unreasonable customer. I just expect punctuality for things under their control. When they don t even order the parts until after the promised start date then you can t blame your suppliers. I will update this with a full review after the installation is complete. Second update. Installation is complete on 1 July, about 6.5 weeks after signing contract. Taking 1 star off for failed verbal promise of salesperson that the job would be started 3 weeks after signing contract and only take 2 days to complete. Taking a second star off for the managements inference that I am an unreasonable customer and blaming delays on their material suppliers. If they modify their response I will modify my rating so my review looks like the one on Yelp. I will admit the contract stated they will complete the job 23 days AFTER ORDERING MATERIALS. What they fail to say, mention, or put in the contract in there is no guarantee on when they will order materials. They do not do that until a second person verifies measurement and an engineer draws them up and you approve them. In my case that took almost 3 weeks. Patrick, Ruben, Francisco, and Travis did an excellent job with the landscaping and went above and beyond my expectations. The area they worked on looks beautiful. They are all courteous, answer all my questions, and followed through with promises. They also do not play loud music which seems to be quite common with some of the contractors I had doing other work. All in all I am pleased with the work JNR performed. Unfortunately the delays, which are completely the fault of their management and salesperson, soured the experience a bit. This was the final piece to an almost complete renovation of our backyard including a pool (not built by JNR) that took a very long time to complete. We were ready to be done back there and the 3 week promise was part of the reason we went with them. Attached pictures, but do not have before pictures. Plants and trees were already there. They flattened out the dirt, added turf, installed weed guard underneath, added rocks, added a hose spigot, added sprinkler valves, moved the planters, ran sprinkler lines to all the plants and moved my heavy giant turtle.

After reading many wonderful reviews on Google I thought I was going to be working with a company that cared and valued customers. But, not even a year and the flaws are coming through. The company had has been back to fix things that should have been done correct the first time many times. Im still waiting for the bender boards that were promised in the contract to be replaced. There seems to be miscommunication between Steve who initially said all things were common knowledge , like putting bender boards before the grass went in but apparently its not. The bender boards I had in my yard previous to the work done were not destroyed or detached after J&R finished they were damaged but never replaced. I feel I am have been given the run around trying to get this problem resolved. The reason I want it resolved is because it is a hazard to my daughter being loose and with screws sticking out. The manager said she would call me back about this issue Im still waiting for the call. Ive called several times and the last time I was told that even if they replaced with new bender boards the issue would persist. I feel like they are doing things unprofessionally by trying to fix what they broke instead of replacing with new bender boards. I am frustrated and sad that I paid a premium price for a company that has not provided the best work. For this kind of service I could have probably paid half the price with same results. While the work looks decent from afar if take a closer look you will see where they fall short.

We bought a house last year and wanted to get a cover for the patio, so we could enjoy being out doors more often. So we attempted to get quotes from contractors to build a patio cover. No one seemed to be interested in building with a permit. Or at least they never got back to us with a quote. Found JNR Home Improvements via google search. Steve came to our house took some measurements and gave us a quote on the spot. He told us about their insulated classic cedar embossed patio covers. This was the kind of product we were looking for. Durable, insulated and quality all around. Crew leaders Paris & Many were here last week preparing our site for the install. After the first permit inspection was complete ( just a few days after install prep), the build was started. Jerol and his crew finished building our patio cover in one day! And we love it ! Thanks Holly for keeping us updated and making sure we had all our questions answered. We have a place out doors we can enjoy for years to come.

The before and after difference is amazing. I love my new patio cover and the over all look of the back yard now that its complete. Even though it took forever to get things done and there was some hiccups along the way over all Pariss crew did amazing work and I love the way the patio cover and the garden gate turned out. All they are concerned about is collecting your money. Paid to have a patio cover installed and was told it would be done by August 2020 for my mom s 80th birthday party on Labor Day weekend. Got calls every Friday to update me but 2 weeks ago told them we only had 3 weeks until Labor Day weekend and was concerned. Was told last Friday they were looking into things and I would be called Monday which never happened. Called this Friday and told it is not going to happen. Worst customer care I have ever seen. As a retired U.S Army veteran I do not recommend this company to anyone! They just want your money and that is it!!

JNR constructed a beautiful patio cover for us. They worked very closely with us to incorporate the design details we were looking for. Our project required some extra time and engineering and they were quite patient as we made our final inputs. Although there were some supply chain issues due to the pandemic, the front office kept us well informed as to the status on our project. When the time came for install, Paris and Many were very professional, extremely patient as they answered our questions, and walked us through the process. Both Paris and Many and the rest of the team ensured we were 100% satisfied with everything. It s been a little over a month now, and we use our gorgeous new patio cover every day. It s a beautiful addition to our backyard and we re thrilled with how it came out. I ll definitely use them again for future jobs.

I love my backyard! This is the 2nd time that we had JNR work on our backyard. The 1st time was a putting green. This time it was pavers and a patio. Before this job began, JNR and I had weekly status calls so to touch base on how everything was progressing. JNR worked with us to get our install plan through our HOA Architectural committee. They had to make many modifications to our install plans before we finally got all the approvals. JNR was great and understanding during this time. Once the project started, they worked very diligently. Lalo and his team performed the paver work. They answered all my questions very courteously and thoroughly, no matter the question. The area that the paved was an irregular shape. It also hugged our putting green. They were very meticulous in cutting each of the pavers, so it would fit within the designed pattern. At times, I would watch the progress of the job. It was like watching an artist paint a masterpiece. They knew what they were doing and cared about the final outcome. You could tell that they took pride in their work. The work on the patio cover was done very professionally and quickly. Day 1...demolish existing patio cover. Day 2, once the materials arrived...put up the new patio cover. It was like I blinked and voila a new patio cover. I know that a picture says a thousand words, so I would like to share parts of my backyard.

The crew finished my turf installatuon in 2 days. It absolutely has transformed my backyard. The turf looks great and feels great to walk around on. I would definitely use them again for other outdoor projects.

Love this company!!! They have done two jobs for us. The first job was a custom patio cover, we got the estimate in November and the job was done just days after Christmas. The crew was fantastic!!! Darryl and team worked quickly, efficiently, carefully, and consistently. They were always on the job on time, they were clean about their work, professional, and cleaned up when they were done. They were so clean, when they left, you wouldnt have even known they were there!!! So, when our fence fell down a week ago Wednesday, I called JNR for an estimate, I also called a fence company. Both companies sent people out on Thursday for estimates. JNR had their estimate to us by that Saturday, the other company was Tuesday. Not only was JNR cheaper, they could start that Wednesday!! The fence company was way more expensive and needed two weeks to start. We went with JNR. The same crew came to do the fence. It was kind of a relief as I had other things happening at the same time this fence construction. I was not going to be home. As usual with Darryl and crew, they worked quickly, efficiently, carefully and consistently. My fence was up in two and a half days. The fence they put in is beautiful! My neighbors all love it!! I couldnt ask for a better job. We are lucky to have a company like JNR Home Improvement in the Antelope Valley. They make home improvement painless!!

I was a little skeptical when my husband started talking about artificial turf but I have to admit, I absolutely love it. My backyard lawn always looks picture perfect and JNR Home Improvements were easy to work with, got the job done in the timeframe that was agreed upon and they were able to connect us with the right payment options for our family. My backyard feels like an oasis in the middle of the desert! It s beautiful. I m so impressed with JNR from the sales/design consultant in the beginning, the workers and the office staff in the middle, and the owner at the end. They really have a great team working there. When I called to schedule an appointment for a free estimate the office staff was very friendly and timely. They emailed me a photo of the sales guy so I would know who to expect on my appointment! That gave me a great feeling knowing that this company cared enough to do that. He listened to my requests offered suggestions and even had samples to help me choose what would eventually be used in the yard. I choose to go with artificial turf and DG in the planter areas with a small amount of concrete work. I was limited with my time frame of when the work needed to be completed and they finished before I expected. The products used are amazing and the installation was superb! JNR communicated with me through every step and never made me feel like I was wondering when or what was going to happen next. Thanks so much to Jeff, Chris, Jonathan, and the rest of the crew that was here everyday! I feel horrible that I didn t get their names. JNR really is the MUST USE company to go to for your landscaping needs! My dogs love it too!

JNR Home Improvements installed turf, DG, pavers, and trees for me and it looks... GREAT! I had a lot of dirt in my backyard previously, but now I can come home from my busy day and know that my backyard still looks beautiful without any effort. The staff was very attentive both in the office and at my home: John came out and worked with me to plan a design for nearly a month until it was perfected, the ladies in the office updated me every step of the way as my project was going on, the install crews were very professional... and overseeing it all was the owner Jeromie. In our first home we hired JNR to do our backyard .I am not creative so I appreciated all of their input and pictures .From start to finish we were always informed about what stage the project was on. Everything was done according to the initial timeline and the crew left my yard spotless when it was done .Jeromie came by several times to check on the work. The crew was professional and courteous. We plan to hire them again to do our current backyard .

They say they had a guy grade for 1.5 days and Im still trying to figure out what he actually graded...and some of the information was lacking when the job started

I would never recommend this company they do not stand behind their work and rip you off, we paid $13,000 for a backyard that was never done properly ,never laid the proper amount of DG and they wont fix it even after he agreed to come out and put some more DG, he changed his mind said it wasnt good for his business to make his customers happy find someone else

JNR has done a phenomenal job on my backyard. Everybody I came in contact with throughout the process was able to answer all of my questions and made this feel like an investment well spent! Now I finally have the yard that I (and my dog) wanted! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
