Got cancer last year. Put new sod down myself during my cancer treatment. I was managing my lawn myself and decided it was time to let the professionals handle it. Multiple times they missed my side yard, one time didn’t even attempt to go in my back yard. 9 minutes on site to fertilize and spot treat weeds on a 1/4 acre. That includes completing the paperwork. I brought my concerns to the manger Lucas and he assured me he would follow up and recheck the pH of my soil. Many months later I’m still awaiting that pH reading. $450 some dollars for them to hand feed maybe $35 worth of product over 6 months. My lawn is dead in spots and yellow. I just canceled and threw down a $22 bag of Scott’s and the grass hasn’t been this green since 6 months ago. Icing on the cake is refund takes 4-6 weeks. In this modern day era there is no way a refund should take longer than 14 days. I get refunded faster from China on Temu orders. What a joke!

James from Massey just did an excellent job aerating my lawn. We checked a couple super trouble spots, and he agreed to make several passes over each, which is very much appreciated. The communication and flexibility you get with Massey is so much better than other outfits I’ve tried. Thanks Massey!
2-14-24 Massey's irrigation services -- performed by JAMES -- was excellent as usual. He's always prompt, courteous, and diligent in reviewing and solving any sprinkler/lawn-related issue. He's a tech who believes in thoroughness and not just traditional baseline customer satisfaction but instead CUSTOMER DELIGHT. Yesterday he came by and reviewed each sprinkler head and corresponding donuts and replaced those heads that were damaged and donuts that were missing. He angled the heads so that their arch covered just the right areas and replaced those heads that were too robust for the job with new ones that provided just the right coverage. I'm very pleased with James' work ethic and request him whenever he's available. Hats off to Lucas for hiring such a fine Massey technical representative.
Communication is key to success, Tyler and Lucas are great at it. The reports they email are always full of detailed info, some of which I’ll never understand, however if there is ever a question either of them is there to answer it. Keep up the great work guys.
I should have never given the a second chance. Massey was a failure the first year. I complained and they agreed my lawn was terrible after a year of their "service". I've written many good reviews but there is NOTHING good to say here. Any good review must just be dumb luck. Every species of weed is thriving now in my yard and displacing the St Augustine. Basket grass, alligator weed, several types of fern, and some kind of ground covering weed. Literally everything but grass is thriving. I'll have to resod parts of my lawn. Huge bare spots and no grass where the weeds have taken over. Remember this is what they call doing better! I don't care about a perfect lawn but there is little lawn left! They simply make no effort. In the summer they do NOTHING as the weeds grow and take over. This is not a service, this is a fraud. And that complementary dethatcthing, yeah that doesn't happen either. I could post more pics but this shows some of it. Zoom in and you'll see how bad it is.
Massey's Palm Harbor office is amazing. As a customer I spoke with office Mgr. Kiley and field Mgr. Tyler two of the most professional people in the business. Tyler serviced my lawn , trees and hedges a couple days ago. He did an amazing through job. I like Massey because they CARE, you see fantastic results, Tyler is very professional, so knowledgeable, so nice . Tyler sprays my lawn , trees and hedges as if it's his own home. Tyler will tell you, "the proof is in the pudding ". As a customer, I see the wonderful results. I would Highly recommend Massey to anyone looking to have their lawn treated . I had to have a new irrigation system along with upgrades on my current irrigation. It was a long and frustrating process at the outset until Lucas Ivey got involved. Although I am in S Tampa, (Lucas is the GM of the Palm Harbor office) Lucas came to my house and completed all the irrigation work in one day with knowledge, professionalism and a lovely, kind demeanor. He explained everything he was doing throughout the process and answered all my questions in the most courteous and patient manner. Massey Services is lucky to have him and those on his team are lucky to have him as a boss and mentor!
This company trespassed in a private, gated community to solicit despite the big no soliciting sign. Any company desperate enough to break the law to try to get business is very suspect.
We are very pleased with Massey s professionals for their pest control, weed control and sod installation. Thank you for helping us make our lawn look so much better, plus, getting rid of our pests. Excellent work!

James was at our house today to do routine maintenance for our sprinklers and replaced a bunch of the tops and adjusted some to make sure they were covering all of the grass. He went above and beyond today to make sure I was happy with this service call! Thank you!

I have been using Massey for lawn/tree and shrub monthly services for almost a decade. They have kept my lawn/tree and shrubs looking great over the years. Todays review is to commend Michael Vogt (also goes by Sean), whos not only been acting as my monthly Lawn Specialist for the past two months, but I also believe is the service manager at the Palm Harbor, FL office. I have had the pleasure of working with him for the past couple years. Every time I have a concern, he communicated promptly and well with me, and corrective action is taken immediately. He is professional, knowledgeable, patient, understanding, genuine, and honest. I cant stress enough how much I have appreciated all hes done to help my lawn/tree and shrubs maintain a good condition. Of course, there are issues that arise with the lawn/tree and shrubs...we live in Florida, and its impossible to avoid issues, but because of Michael/Sean, we get through and overcome the issues with no extra costs to me and in a timely manner. Overall, Massey has done a great job for the past (almost) decade, but Ive been extremely satisfied when working closely with Michael/Sean for the past couple years. Go Massey...thank you, Michael/Sean...Massey is lucky to have you and please dont ever go away. You are a vital asset to this company and to the healthcare of my lawn/tree and shrubs.
Absolutely horrible experience, we hired them to complete work and are irrigation system and they wanted to charge us for work that was not completed. After weeks of back and forth and trying to get them to complete the job, which generally included them not showing up on time, if they even bothered to show up at all for scheduled appointments. We decided to hire somebody else to complete the work. After we did that, they decided to charge our credit card that we had on file with their pest control division anyway and without our authorization. Up until this point we had never once disputed a credit card charge, they are the first. And now, to compound the issue, even though discover found in our favor after their investigation and remove the charge, theyve decided to try to charge me again. So now discover is having to do a whole another investigation, again, even though we have all the documentation that shows that the work was never completed. As a result of all this we have also decided to cancel our pest control service with them, even though we were generally happy with that part of their services. They will absolutely never receive a positive referral, recommendation for our business again.
They are always dependable and professional. My lawn never looked better! My old service was haphazard at best and I had large patches of weed and brown grass. Very happy.
The worst.
Tyler is our lawn tech. He is serious and dedicated about his job. He is kind and ready to listen and solve problems. So is his management! They do everything they say they will do and when problems arise, they keep working for a solution. Massey is worth the time and money above all others I have ever worked with!
Go with another company if you want good service. I have asked repeatedly for a call back and have not received. I asked for more details on the status of my yard, the service tech did not call back. I have repeatedly asked to be phoned prior to service due to dogs and locked fence, they just show up - even though the notes BLATANTLY show to call first. Then they left a note saying they would be back to finsih back yard due to locked fence 3 weeks later not a call to set appt and still received bill for full service when they have not finished. I have left 3 messages for a manager to phone and this is going on 2 weeks with no call back. !!! Go with another company if you want good service.
