Approximately a month ago, I had a personal situation, where after all was said and done, Y and L Landscaping handled me with such professionalism, such courtesy and such care, that I ll never forget them !!! Because of that wherever I go,I m gonna tout this company!!!They re a CLASS ACT FOR SURE!! Lastly,I hope that they re aware of what a gem Julie, the operations manager is!!!Julie thank you so much !!!!!!

1. After I received my estimate initially, David called me and 1 of the things he said was our prices are a little high but yet on the website it states they have fair and accurate pricing. If thats the case, why would my estimate be high? 2. Incorrect and outrageous estimate: The 1st estimate I received from them did not include measurements for anything, did not include everything I asked for and included cleaning up some gardens which I stated multiple times at the consultation that I did not want touched. After emailing Y&L about my concerns, which included feeling like they didnt listen to what I said, the estimate was corrected however, the estimate for having my patio and walkway removed & replaced was $76,000. Seriously? I am not asking for a platinum or gold patio & walkway. There were no measurements for the walkway and patio included with the estimate. I was told that the price is high because the price of pavers is high. On the Y&L landscaping website pricing page, it shows $4000 - $36000 for Hardscape projects so Im wondering why mine is so high. I feel as if $76000 is not fair and accurate pricing. I got another estimate for about $20000 for having patio & walkway redone using cement so I dont see how pavers would cost $56000 more. 3. Their website says that they have a quick response time to where you would hear back from someone within 24 hours but after sending a 2nd email in regards to estimate I received, I did not receive a response back. I called a few days later (on a Tuesday) to speak to David. He stated he would call me back by Wed or Thursday but I did not receive a call back. 4. One last thing: They charge a $59 consultation fee to make sure that you are serious about potentially having work done but this is not mentioned on their website. In my experience so far, it feels like they charge the $59 fee so they can come out, half listen to what you say and then give you a ridiculous estimate so that you wont want to hire them and they keep your $59.

Y&L Landscaping was fantastic to work with. They were reliable, trustworthy, hardworking, and they really heard what I wanted and delivered it. I highly recommend them.

We used Y&L to remove many bushes, clean the area and re-design it for lower maintenance. They gave us a very reasonable proposal that addressed exactly what we were looking for. They came out and did the work very professionally. The new shrubs look great and open the front of the house. It will take time to get the full effect of the work until the grass takes root but so far everything is great. Would highly recommend David and the crew.

Y&L came through in a pinch for us! Our Plow/Salt Company never showed after snow storm, We called Y&L to help us so we could reopen our business safely. A crew showed up within 2 hours of my call!! Unbelievable customer service. Thanks to Rivky at Y&L who made it so easy!

We used Pikesville Tree Service to do some significant trimming of an old oak tree in our backyard. They assessed what was right for the healthy tree and then did the whole job in a few hours without damaging any of our structures or hardscaping. They were professional, courteous, and did an excellent job. They cleaned up all debris so thoroughly that you would not even know they were there. The tree looks fantastic and has been thinned of all the old, dead wood that was falling. I will use Pikesville Tree Service again without hesitation.

So many companies are there for you BEFORE they get paid but their follow through AFTER is lacking; this is NOT the case with Y&L!! If you are considering using Y and L, let me tell you, I have been using them for my home for about 5-6 years and they are really top notch. Their quality and the service they provide is the absolute best! I go back to them year after year because of all the great compliments I get from all my neighbors saying we have the nicest lawn on the block. It may not be the cheapest but if you are looking for reliable and the nicest looking lawn, they are your go-to option. Trust me!

Highly recommended for all lawn and garden needs.. Y&L were flexible, affordable, and really helpful! I get all my lawn work and trimming from there. One time, in just an hour, they constructed me stone stairs on my side porch to make it more accessible to my elderly grandma. They work quick, precise, make minimal noise, and keep the area so kempt and clean. Y&L are friendly and the only company I would ever use!!

I used Y&L for landscaping and draining and they were AMAZING to deal with. From my first contact with them (the office staff was super nice and responsive), the estimate process, and the workers themselves, were all very considerate, respectful and professional. The office followed up with me during the work, and after the work to check in to make sure I was satisfied. Most importantly, I am THRILLED with their work. We have an old house, and when we bought it it had a waterproofing system in the basement. The system was supposed to keep all of the water out of the house, but we still got water in the house after big storms. Y&Ls drainage professionals came by and showed me how our grading and gutter systems were feeding water right back into our house, and explained how sump pumps and French drains would not help the problem. They installed an exterior drainage system to manage the storm water, and since then, we have had no problems at all! We also used Y&L for landscaping, and they are great to work with. They know what they are doing (they arent just a guy with a mower and blower). They have a methodology for lawncare, and make my yard look the best on the block every time they come. They suggested some landscaping improvements to my yard to get rid of some old growth shrubs which I thought looked okay as they were. I was wrong. Once I saw Y&Ls landscaping design, I realized, my old shrubs made my house look very run down. Fresh landscaping has made my homes curb appeal go way up. These guys are real pros, great to work with, and a great value. I highly recommend them.

We used Y & L to install a french drain system in our backyard which always had water pooling after a rain storm. From the beginning, the company was very easy to work with, responsive and addressed any questions or concerns that we had. Even after the system was put in, if there were any concerns, they continued to respond to our calls and addressed them immediately. The most exciting part was when we had the first large rainstorm after the drain system was installed. We watched the yard begin to fill with water, but then within a few minutes the entire pool of water drained. To add to it, our sub pump which used to go off for days after a rainstorm before we installed this drain system, only went off for a few hours after the drain system was in place. We are so happy and relieved that water is being drained away from our home and our yard is usable!! Thank you Y and L

We diligently searched for someone who could grade our front and back yards. Some quotes were extremely cheap but suspect while others were exhorbitant. Finally we settled on Y&L even though their invoice was a bit over our budget. We thought just filling up the yard in places where there were depressions would be enough. But David Kushner thought otherwise. He envisioned something more complete and wholesome than we did. Everything was done to a perfection. When someone gives their professional best and something more than what we expect, all anxiety disappears and there is only a sense of quiet satisfaction. It is rare to come by honest companies these days who say what they would do and keep their word. We are grateful to the Y&L staff, the Kushners and more importantly the workers who performed a spendid job, cleaning up at the end of everyday. We were amazed to see that even with all their weaving in and around the yard they avoided damage to the fence and the young trees and bushes we had planted over the past 2 years. The experience was amazing, they finished putting the drainage system in our yard in a day in a half. Only negative was something out of their control due to a delay with mis-utility marking the yard. Once we got over that hurdle it was easy. Initial set up was cool too, instead of in person review they made an online presentation on youtube. Pretty cool stuff. Definitely would recommend using their service.

From estimate to scheduling and job completion, Y&L were spot on. Estimate came with excellent explanation of what they planned to do (this was a standing water remediation job), and their hard working crew (on a 90+ degree day) were wonderful, from the beginning of the job through reseeding disturbed areas and clean-up.

Y&L Landscaping did an excellent job solving the drainage problems around my house. We have had a number of very large rainfalls since, everything worked well. The crew was courteous and very flexible making some adjustments when issues came up as the work progressed. I would recommend them.

Y&L did three projects for me, including developing a drainage system at the end of my backyard, planting a few trees, and some weeding and pruning. Allan, Andrew, and Eddie were quite professional and expert in their job. The projects were done in a timely manner and with good quality.

I have personally found customer service to be generally lacking in this part of the country. NOT SO with Y&L ... Chase has always been very quick with replies, visits, and with adjustments to our services. In addition, the communication is exceptional during the winter months when weather is upon us. I distribute their email updates directly to my team and everyone appreciates knowing what is going on and knowing that Y&L has everything under control. I highly recommend Y&L!
