I called River's Edge after my plumber finished replacing the sanitary line to the street and the yard was torn up a lot. Brad came over to review the work and I asked him to also price up some other areas that needed attention. In the next day or two I had a quote, with all of the issues we had discussed clearly spelled out. His team came when they had scheduled, and Ace and Dustin were really great to work with. They got all of the items contracted complete in two days, but needed a bit more soil to complete the extra work. The said they would return in a few days. Two days later they came and completed everything. It is not easy to find great contractors, but this team exceeded my expectations!
I called Rivers Edge last week to inspect and replace a number of sprinklers in my yard that had cracked or broken over the years. The owner dropped by on Friday and quickly knocked the job out. In about an hour, he replaced 7 sprinkler heads and adjusted several others. This was my first experience with Rivers Edge. The owner took pride in his work and worked on my yard like it was his own. They will definitely be my first call for any future landscape or irrigation needs. Thank you.
I have used Rivers Edge Lawn and Landscape for multiple jobs and have nothing but great things to say. They first installed an irrigation system in the front yard. Brad was the one I communicated with majority of the time. He responded in a timely manner and showed up when he said they would show up. They completed this job and I never even met anybody in person. We were at work all day but that didn’t stop them from doing an excellent job. The coverage of the irrigation system was excellent….and what small area it didn’t cover, they added a head when they came back for another job with no additional charge. I was so impressed with their services that my wife and I used them for our landscaping this month. We didn’t even get a quote elsewhere as I knew I wanted to use them even if it cost slightly more than someone else. Once again, Brad and the team showed up when they said they would and did an EXCELLENT job. I requested they come on my day off work and they did exactly that. All the guys were very nice and were very professional when speaking with me. It was “yes sir” or “no sir” which is not the norm in this day and time. One of the guys even picked up the few rocks that spilled into the driveway which was gravel anyway. In addition to this, in the initial quote, they only accounted for 13 scoops of rock to do the job because based on the numbers, that is what it should have taken. Well, that didn’t cover it and they had to get more rock (I’d say 5-7 more scoops) and come back 2 days later. They didn’t charge me a penny more than the original quote. I couldn’t believe it. They also aerated and seeded about a half acre for me as well. I never leave reviews but this service was too good not to. Ignore any of the negative things you see on these reviews. I am basically OCD about my yard and landscape and I couldn’t be more pleased. I can’t wait to see this landscape in a couple years as it matures. I can guarantee you Brad will make it right if you just communicate. Thank you for a FANTASTIC job!! We will be using you guys for all our future lawn and landscape jobs and recommending you to others as well.
I have a small patio and they did a pretty average job. As for someone living in a home, rather than a person operating a business, please read before choosing this company. Pros: -They were efficient the day of. -They did exactly what I had asked for. Cons: -The day of, the workers did not knock or announce themselves. They unlatched my back gate from the outside and let themselves in. I did NOT know they were back there until I heard them talking by my door. -The day of, when they went on a run for more rock, one of the workers left their phone charging connected to my outdoor shed, which they did not ask if I was okay with. I would have been fine if they had asked. (I have photo proof of this, I was taking update pictures for friends and just happened to spot it on one of the photos.) -Leading up: This company took a week to come out, a week to send a proposed contract, they just put me on the books without telling me what day or asking if I would be available a certain week, and then took two weeks to send me the final invoice. I called them initially at the end of July and only just now received the invoice. -When we talked about a plan for the backyard, we discussed a few bushes and all rock (my preference). When the proposed contract came in, they suggested 7 bushes to go in the backyard. Mind you, I do not have much space back there to begin with. They changed it easily, but it felt added in as a money grab. All in all, my main issues were in their professionalism throughout this whole process with respect to the timing. And the fact that they just let themselves into the backyard, effectively breaking in. Not only did they not announce themselves, but what would have happened if they opened my neighbor's gate? What would have happened if they broke my gate. These are serious issues that I raised the day of and was told that my notes would be "passed on" to the team.
Designed the landscaping for total do over of backyard with drains added in December 2017. Have helped us maintain it by fertilizing, weed control, trimming, and mulching. Always impressed with their knowledge and professional manner. Used them again last spring to replace landscaping around the rest of our home.
River's Edge planned and installed all the outdoor lighting on my home, including walkway and uplights. The owners were very courteous and explained everything in detail. They were very professional and installed 22 lights in an afternoon. All the cables were buried and the landscaping replaced (I cannot tell where the cables are), cleaned up the property removing all the trash, and waited until dark to make adjustments to the lights, so that they highlighted my house beautifully. They also made sure my flag was highlighted, as well. The house looks beautiful. I will call River's Edge for all my landscaping and lighting needs. I highly recommend River's Edge for all your landscaping, lawn and hardscape work.
We had them come out and put a drainage system around our pool. They did not bury the pipe underground all the way. I called them Brad said he would be out in a couple of weeks. that was the beginning of June we have yet to see him or him to contact us to set up a time for him to come look at the problem. He also did a job for my mother and called her said he would be out and didn't show up.
I have known Brad for several years, and I have worked with him as a contractor, as well as hired his services for my own lawn. As an employee, I couldn't ask for a better boss. Very easy to work with, because my standards are as high as his. 2017 is my first year to actually hire him, after I started 30,000 sq.ft. of new yard at my new house. Brad helped me along the way, with advice, and also fertilizer and weed control application. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone - and if a customer has a problem with anything his guys do, Brad will do ANYTHING he possibly can to make his customers happy. There just aren't many good guys as honest and hardworking as Brad.
If you want the best then hire the best. Rivers Edge.

They did an excellent job on the retaining wall and went above and beyond to make sure it was done right
After years of battling all the rocks in a section of our property, I called Rivers Edge to come clean about 15,000 sqft of our 2 acre lot to remove the rock. I also had put in a 12 X 100 long culvert pipe that I wanted buried and sloped to match the grade of the yard. They scheduled roughly 3 weeks in advance. They showed up on the scheduled day and time. Their professionalism and work were spot on. The rock was cleaned out. Grass seed was put down. Straw was placed down and straw mat in areas of higher slope. Now, it is just up to me to keep the new seed damp, which will be a chore with such a large area and no rain in the forecast.
Charge top dollar for mediocre, inconsistent quality. Seldom saw the same crew twice. Stated preferences for mowing our lawn were either not communicated or totally disregarded. Poor customer service. They didnt respond, return calls or acknowledge complaints about incomplete work or quality. Very unreceptive to complaints.
Do yourself a favor and use someone else.

We used Rivers Edge to have lighting put aroubd our house. They planned it out it was exactly what we wanted...they were very nice and professional. They did everything they said they would do. All the wiring is covered and you cant tell where they are, and all the area was cleaned up. My house looks beautiful. We will use Rivers Edge for all our landscaping needs. Thank you Rivers Edge
Weve been benefiting from Rivers Edge services for about 7 years now. Brad and his crew are very dependable and do an excellent job. We are notified by text and email the day before they arrive so the side gate is unlocked. We get a text and email when they arrive and the type of vehicle they are driving; the services being provided and what time they are leaving. Brad and his crew have also landscaped our other house and did a great job. They have also laid down mulch with a stone border. Im sure we will find more for them to do soon. Thanks Brad

My lawn looks great, and Thomas and Logan worked tirelessly in heat and even some rain to mulch my garden beds and trim bushes and shrubs. Brad always listens to my instructions and works with me to make sure the lawn and landscaping are the way I want it.

Jared and his crew help break down our small horse property. Loaded pods, hauled off trash, and took off donations. We are moving cross country, so this was a job!! After the first day the crew worked, I felt as if we would make it. Can t say EMT good about them.
Hired Brad and crew for a French drain with gutters running on different line and both going to the street. They had to come back a few times and make some minor adjustments, but all around great job and good people. Would use them again for any other projects that come up.
Brad and the crew at Rivers Edge did an AMAZING job on my yard - it had been holding water in the backyard after every rain, so much that it looked like a swamp for a couple months every year. They came out when they said they would be there (another local company didnt even show up at all!), gave us an accurate estimate (which was MUCH less than the other quotes we got) and got the job done fast - they even found time to hook my neighbor up with an extra drain box connected in. 10/10 would recommend. If you need work done in your yard, do yourself a favor and call Brad.

The retaining wall built was well done; both attractive and durable. We were impressed by the prompt work from when they said they would arrive as well as clean up.

All employees have asked multiple time to please not aim the riding mowers toward our vehicles when mowing and they never listen. Every week our vehicle is covered with grass inside and out. I would appreciate if the matter was taking care of. We done brought it to their attention and it still continues to happen.
Know these guys personally, they proudly stand behind everything they do from landscapeing to hardscapeing. They do a wonderful job and I would highly recommend their services to anyone!!

We have been using The Grounds Guys to mow our yard for about two years now, and I love the work they do! We always have nice clean lines along the driveway and sidewalk, and they mow it the perfect height. Im fairly picky, and they accommodate my specifications very well. I would highly recommend the company!

Brad and his crews are the epitome of professional. They hold your satisfaction as their highest priority and will not stop until you are completely happy with their work. I have them treat my yard every year for weeds... not only do they do a great job and the weeds die off, but this year we had an unexpected rain cloud pop up 3 hours after application on a day with 0% chance of rain. Brad not only sent his crew BACK out to treat again, but they even did more of the yard than i even paid them to do in the first place! Wonderful customer service!
