Ryan Lawn & Tree in Overland Park

One of these guys hit my parked car. Corporate said they would help me, but have ghosted me for the last few weeks. Would not recommend.

Hired Ryan Lawn & Tree last fall to spray a pine tree, crabapple and ornamental pears this spring. The time has come and gone to make the first and most important spray for scab and cedar apple rust on the crabapple. I called the Ryan office to verify that my trees were on their schedule and they confirms all trees were schedule. I later got a call back from their applicator stating that he would spray the pine tree next week. I stated it was almost too late to spray the crabapple and questioned whether it would be affective. He reviewed his work order and said the only tree he had on his schedule was the pine tree. This lack of communication between the business office and field applicators is very disappointing and extremely poor customer services. I would not recommend them to others.

Even though we have used this tree service before they refused to help us. Their customer care was terrible. The information they had on us was for my dead mother in law who has never lived here or used their services. We have! Yet David refused to listen and just shut me down.

We are exceptionally pleased with Ryan s landscape which surrounds two sides of the house exterior. Shaun Parker first met with us and aided us with different approaches ---He was very professional, down to earth and kept us informed of our relative position on the waiting list with weekly e-mails. The three professionals (Tony, Matt and Kurt) who constructed the wall were very friendly, informative, worked very hard, and were very fine craftsman. We have received numerous complements on the finished project: the walls themselves, sod repair, plantings, drainage, and mulch. A JOB VERY, VERY WELL DONE! Also --- the turf caretakers who cared for our lawn throughout the year also did a very outstanding job! Chris Molloy activated irrigation system and completed all tasks in an outstanding manner. Not only did he check and adjust all irrigation zones and heads, he provided expert advice about water patterns and possible future requirements for water flow for future landscape design changes. Apparently I did not get the same lawn service person the positive reviews did. After a year my lawn is 30% dirt. Appointments were not met in a timely manner, the overseeing was haphazard, and promises to correct issue never happened. Will not use them again. Terribly disappointed, I expected a decent lawn this spring for the money we spent.

We use Ryan Lawn & Tree for year long care and protection of our trees. Yesterday we had a tree removed and stump cleared away. There were at least four men working together to take down the tree in a safe manner. It was done with skill and coordination The grounds were cleaned up, raked, and patio debris blown away. Patio furniture placed back exactly as I wanted it. Very polite men as well. I recommend Ryan Lawn & Tree to all my neighbors

Arrived as planned, introduced themselves, explained what they were going to do. Did a great job of trimming and cleaned up afterwards so the lawn did not show that they had been here. When finished showed the results and checked that we were satisfied and presented the bill with the agreed upon price. Very please with the results.

Honest, have been using them for years

Our two Wichita Blue Junipers were badly damaged by the snow this winter. The technician worked very hard straightening the junipers and making them straight again. The pruning really made them look good!

The guys did a fantastic job removing a spruce tree and grinding the stump. Its ready for sod. They were careful to limit collateral damage to practically none and clean up was excellent. To top it off they were personable and great guys and theyre competively priced too. Theyll be our 1st call when we need tree work.

TJ is the absolute best for lawn care in the WORLD!! I ve moved 11 times and sell real estate. It is always nice to have a property to sell that TJ cares for. I first met him at a clients house in Reinhardt. He grew a whole gorgeous yard from seed. I couldn t believe it. I ve used him ever since. There is nothing he can t do:). Wow - These people really know what customer service is about. They have been doing our lawn for 5 years, but in the past we used them for trees also. Yesterday I called because there was storm damage to our tree. They came out, gave us a bid, and shortly there after trimmed the tree and got rid of all the branches. Above that everyone was friendly from phone, to bidder, to trim crew. I wish all customer service was like this.

Tim Johnson has been my Ryan Lawn & Tree person for a number of years. He lets me know ahead of time that he is coming, and he always takes the time to let me know what that particular application will do for my lawn. I am very pleased with Tim and with my Ryan Lawn & Tree service.

I have used Ryan Lawn & Tree for several years now for my lawn, tree and shrub care, and their service is always terrific. They always send well-trained, courteous, professional people to take care of our yard. They are the only company Ive found that will spend the time to learn my preferences concerning pruning my trees and shrubs, and make additional suggestions as they see fit. Their tree specialists often have college degrees in forestry or similar fields, and are licensed and certified arborists, and several of them have found problems with my trees in the early stages, before I even knew there was a problem, and when the problem can be readily corrected. Brent Dorr in particular is one of their incredibly knowledgeable arborists who spent more than an hour walking around my property with me to understand what needed taken care of, and what was important to my wife and me. That kind of customer-first service is difficult to find. I give them my highest recommendation.

Matt does a fine job, and is a great ambassador for Ryan Lawn and Tree. This is our first year with this company, and we hope to establish an excellent relationship with this company. We have had a lot of work done so far to our property, and Matt, Kevin and Chris are all very professional and seem to know their respective jobs. We are hoping that in the long run Ryan Lawn & Tree will help keep our property looking excellent and save money for us in the long run. Keep up the good work, and we are happy that Matt was in the neighborhood and stopped to talk to us about our overall needs for our property.

We had fungus spray, fertilizer, and grub granules applied to our lawn. We had called and reported the possibility of fungus in a few spots as soon as we suspected it. Our grass was green at that time. Ryan lawns came out and sprayed the fungus very promptly. They then returned the next week for the fertilizer and grub treatments. The 4 wheeler they used to apply the last two treatments made tracks all over our yard and smashed the grass down as it did to two other neighbors yards. We were on vacation during these applications. It rained and watered in the fungus treatment and we returned home from vacation within 3 days after the last treatments to water them in. We called Ryan the day after returning home to say we felt our lawn was dead in a lot of spots. We were told someone would be here within 3 days. Our regular guy called the next day and said he or the manager would be here within the next two days. No one came. We called and cancelled the rest of our service. We have watered and watered and watered and our lawn is still looking dead. We received a email asking us to put in writing what had happened so we did respond. We received no response back except to ask us to pay the 250.00. We are very disappointed with Ryan Lawns. We have been customers since 2004 or 2005 both in our old home and here and were pleased with the service until now.

I have used Ryan Lawn & Tree for many years ... first at our home in Lenexa and now at our home in Leawood. I had used several Lawn and Landscaping companies previously before Ryan. The personnel are very knowledgeable, friendly and do their job professionally. Any time I have had a concern regarding a particular tree, I called and Ryan always responds quickly. I would certainly recommend (without hesitation) their services to anyone looking for a reputable lawn and landscaping company.

Very efficient and professional. Arrived per schedule They removed. a very large Bradford pear that was close to my house with a very limited drop zone for branches, etc. They exercised safety at all times and the five man team coordinated with each other the entire time. They cleaned up the debris after the tree was removed. I highly recommend Ryans arbor team.

Called for a bid and he showed up as agreed. He then proceeds to tell me it will roughly cost X amount but he wont give me a real bid unless I pay him a design fee. Waste of both of our times as I am not going to pay them to design it if I cant even get an actual price to begin with. He justified this by bragging about how big they were, well congratulations but you wont be getting my business.

I found the service provided to be excellent, as always. I have used Ryan Lawn & Tree numerous times since I moved to Lenexa. The very well trained men are courteous and knowledgeable. I will use them whenever I have issues that they are able to handle for my property. I have full confidence in their ability.

Sure gets old pulling their stupid signs out of the yard. They put their signs on properties they dont even service. I pull it up & the next day theres another one there. going around looking for lawns that stand out & dropping their signs in them.

Have used Ryan for a few different services over the years. Pretty good until I had overseeding/verticut done. It ended up raining a ton after the overseeding was complete and basically ended up being a waste since the grass seed was washed away.with all the water. Upon discussing with Ryan I was told they cannot control Mother Nature and they could not help. No discount on the service again or anything else. Guess what you could have controlled... me being a future customer. Moved on from Ryan Lawn.

Ryan Lawn & Tree has taken care of our home trees and problem bushes for a number of years with great success. Recently I hired them for a big project on behalf of our HOA. They trimmed about 25 trees and removed another 7 trees. The whole operation, from beginning to end, was outstanding. They were extremely professional in every aspect. Even when they came into contact with a less-than-cooperative homeowner, they were calm, professional and helped diffuse the situation. I couldnt speak more highly of the entire Ryan team.

Ryan Lawn & Tree always do a great job pruning our trees. They were able to help create a leader branch for some of our older trees that were not pruned properly. They do an excellent job with tree removal and stump grinding, back filling with top soil and not leaving the ground stump as filler. They are competitively priced.

I had Ryan Lawn & Tree do a major tree pruning job recently. Work was done professionally, and most importantly safely. Trimmers wore hard hats, and took extra precaution with their activities. Safety is a big thing and we should all pay the attention to it than Ryan and Team does.

Strong daytime storm split tree in our yard. Called Ryan as gargantuan damaged branches were tenuously suspended over neighbors driveway/house. Called Ryan and arborist came, assessed situation, provided reasonable estimate and within the next few hours well trained Ryan crew with their machinery fleet arrived on the scene and efficiently performed their tree magic. Oh what a relief that was--potential disaster averted.

Left the house for a couple of hours and when I returned the tree had been removed and the stump ground out. The area was completely clean of debris and they had even filled the area where the stump was ground out with dirt, even with the lay of the land. Could not ask for more. Have done business with this company for years. Used to call for multiple estimates but do not bother any more because Ryan is always competitive. Will use Ryan again and again.

We use Ryan Lawn and Tree for mosquito treatment and most recently for our irrigation system that was installed by someone else. Matt was very professional and friendly and what I appreciated most is that he was honest. He said we could do some things to update our system that were expensive, but said they werent necessary and only fixed what needed to be fixed. I really appreciated he didnt try and sell me something I really didnt need. Very impressed w/ the integrity here.

Sean pruned our Bradford Pear tree and it looks great. Its our only tree in the front yard and we only have Ryan work on it because we feel they know their trees. Also, they came when on the scheduled day...thats important!

Ryan Lawn & Tree professionals are very knowledgable and friendly. I saw a difference in my lawn quickly after Jared Dyes services. It is much healthier and no more weeds. Drew Ball is also helping us nurse our baby oak tree to health. He taught us what to look for and how to help it in between annual fertilization boosts.

Andrew Quick went above and beyond the call of duty today. I had not been able to finish raking the leaves from our backyard and had planned to do so Tuesday but the day was damp, not good for raking. Andrew came to winterize the yard that day and seeing that the leaves were still there took care of them for me before he spread the treatment. I believe anyone else would applied the treatment over the leaves which would have been useless or would have told me that he would come back after I finished raking and bagging the leaves, two days work for me. The service has always been superb and our lawn looks beautiful.

Ryan Lawn & Tree have polite, professional employees and they do a greatjob. Today they pruned trees and shrubs exactly according to the plans we previously discussed, and they cleaned up all the debris. The bill was what I expected. Once in the past there was a miscommunication about a bill, but once I contacted them, they investigated and all was put right. I also use their lawn service and am pleased with all the helpful advice. Because I am a regular customer, if theres a disaster (e.g. ice storm) that destroys a tree, I know that they will come promptly to clean up the mess or remove the tree. Ive been a customer for many years now and am pleased. (Before using Ryan, I was not happy with a previous company, so I know Ryan gives good service.) I highly recommend Ryan Lawn & Tree.

First of all I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ryan Lawn and Tree. They actually care about their customers and that there work is always the best. My Lawn looks fabulous because of them and how much pride that they put into their work. Grant my new Ryan Lawn and tree guy has the nicest manners and always answers any questions that I have. Absolute best lawn service I have ever dealt with. Prices are reasonable, staff is professional and courteous all the way to office staff. Most importantly.. my lawn went from probably one of the worst to one of the top lawns in the neighborhood. You will not find a better company to do your lawn for you out there in KC. Could not ask for better service and would be hard-pressed to find it. Ive read other places that while their lawn-care is excellent, prices are steep, but from our experience they offer competitive pricing. They are prompt, courteous and professional. Ryan Kutz was efficient, friendly, knowledgable and very patient with my many questions. It was obvious that he wasnt just there to get a job done, but cared that we received what we needed. Highly recommend.

Lawn service was as good as everyone else but was not pleased with take it or leave it, I have paying customers to talk to attitude from the guy at my house. Owner qas much better to deal with.

We have used Ryans yearly lawn application program for several years and are completely satisfied with how our lawn looks. Their service and response to questions is awesome. Even though weve had 3 or 4 different Service Representatives over the years, the transition has always been transparent and we have appreciated every one of them. We currently have Drew Wilson and like his professionalism, knowledge and friendliness. We also recently began using Ryan for our tree & bush trimming and winterizing our sprinkler system. Ive had many lawn care companies thru the years with mostly dissapointing results. This companys service and results are well worth the extra bucks you spend with them. Very service oriented and professional from the tree climbers, the applicators to the owner himself. They were just as good in Wichita where I moved from. Nice work Ryan! John
