I called to get a bid on clearing my driveway. It is half of a duplex driveway that is totally flat and maybe two car lengths long. He quoted me $800-$1200 to come out tomorrow. The next company I spoke to quoted me $80

Got quoted $1000-1500 for snow removal on my single width two car lengths long driveway.

$700 for a two stall driveway snow removal.

Price gouging during snow storm. Trying to quote 800.00 to 1200.00 for a 2 car driveway.

Poor quality. Charges extra for additional mow time without you knowing. Very neglectful trimming. Broke my fence and said nothing.

Avoid this company like the plague! Very deceptive billing practices and horrible service. I had a plan to cut just my front lawn. The cut down my flowers and my berries, then charged me $400 for a month of service because of rain . Stay away from LDK. There are a dozen better landscaping choices.

The crew did an excellent job

LDK failed on all fronts. They chose to plant the wrong plants purposefully because the nursery didnt have the plants I requested on the day they decided to plant. They did not schedule an appointment with me for the day of planting, so I was not aware or home to approve the plants or to make a decision on whether I wanted to pay the optional plant guarantee of $206. I found the plants 4 days after being planted and they had never been watered. Based on the poor communication, disrespectful decision to plant plants that did not meet my request, and complete lack of any sort of customer service, I requested they remove the plants. I didnt have any desire to try and work with them further because of how they treated me. They have since charged me for the plant guarantee and added monthly late fees to my account. I tried to work this out with them this Spring and we were close to having a deal but it fell apart over 3, $8 dollar plants that they wanted me to pay the $206 plant guarantee for replacing (they died over winter). There was never any additional work requested by me other than planting the plants that were originally written on the estimate as what I the customer wanted planted. The owner told me he was placing my account with collections and has. I have submitted a Consumer Complaint with the Johnson County Consumer Protection Division, and am have submitted a dispute with the collection agency. On top of all of this, I believe Im being taken advantage of because I live in a 55+ community and Im a woman. Please do not do business with this company and help protect other consumer from being taken advantage of. No consumer should be expected to pay for good and services not received as requested.

Loved using LDK. They offer a wide range of high quality services and are very quick in their work. They are a little pricey but do a great job.

I fully expected LDK to show up and politely refuse the job. I needed a one time cleanup but it was rough. Imagine my surprise when I peeked outside and saw the project half done!!! I am a full-time caregiver so I am never home. I was able to care for my loved one that day and I no longer have to play jumanji to pass the unsightly jungle near the door. Many thanks!

LDK did a wonderful clean up on my yard. It had become horribly overgrown and my efforts were not enough. Braydon did a fantastic job. Lawn mower ran over my underground sprinkler box while I was on vacation. I was able to get someone I know to fix it 4 days later. My water bill is $1790.23 They refuse to pay me back for any part of the bill and are blaming the company I had install the system 3 years ago! My neighbor saw them hit it and called them but no action taken. Keep in mind LDK has serviced my underground sprinkling in the past. Terrible way to do business. Cost me a lot. Not my fault at all. LDK should have insurance to cover employee error. I would not recommend them at all. I have hired another company to mow my lawn and service my sprinkler.

Braydon was early, very well spoken and a good communicator, got right after the project, and did it right!

Braydon and Luke really got me out of a jam. I ve been working a lot and got a love letter from my city inspector about my yard - branches, wood pile not stacked properly, weeds. I got a very fast very fair estimate and they came out in a day or two to help. They texted me when they could start and when they would arrive, they were there on time and did everything I needed to get my yard back in shape. I also use their lawn services and have recommended to friends multiple times - this team is that great!

We had LDK winterize our sprinklers. They were responsive, got us on the schedule quickly (and in advance of a freeze), and did a great job once they got here.

I ve had LDK winterize my sprinkler system for 3 years now and they have done a great job. In fact, they moved me up on the schedule this year due to earlier than expected freezing temperatures. I m pleased.

We were offered a professional crew of three to come out and trim ALL our bushes. They arrived, unannounced, the first part of June. This review is late in being done as we have been so upset and honestly thought we would receive a call or visit to check out work done or at least a survey card. Nothing!! Only a bill to pay an exorbitant amount for work done. They sent out three professional men to do the work. They completely missed two of the bushes. Most of what trimmings were done were left under the bushes and not picked up. I checked on them twice but now see I should have stayed with all of them all day. They were very nice people but didn t do what we thought we were hiring them to do. We were going to use them for another job they bid, very high also. But, now we don t trust them. One star out of five. We thought it looked liked they were doing a good job but after looking at their work it really looks like trimmings were just tucked into the bushes to only come out the next day. We have complete pictures to prove this. Notice they don t even have a trimmings box to sign.

Very thin mulch installation. I think there were weeds in the mulch. I have more weeds now than I had before the installation! $1500 wasted.

This company has very poor communication. They quote you so vaguely and then charge you whatever they want. They ll mow your yard the whole year round if you let them. Even when your yard doesn t need it. They have shady business practices and have screwed me over more than once. When trying to communicate with the owner about discrepancies I was told he doesn t take complaints . Terrible business practices. Give you money to someone else that have integrity and acts ethically. DO NOT USE LDK LAWN.

I recently used LDK Lawn Services for the beginning of a large project redoing landscaping in both my front and back yards. They were quick with response times & worked quickly to get what wed discussed done properly. Theyve also worked for family members of mine & have done an exceptional job at their homes as well. I highly recommend LDK Lawn Services for your lawn care needs.

Had to fire this company in October. We had some snow flurries and mid morning I saw 2 LDK trucks in my parking lot start to lay down salt, I ran out and stopped them before they could do any work, the ground was too warm for anything to freeze and my parking was already full of cars. We have told them in the past we dont want salt because it is destroying our parking lot and sidewalks. A week later we get an invoice for $650 for salting that they never did, they maybe laid down a pound or two before I stopped them. I told them Im not paying for the salt because we didnt want it nor did it need it. They screwed me last year and salted my parking lot and side walks on a Saturday when we are closed based on a forecast that never happened. Ive spent over $15,000 with this company, but this was the last straw. Now they are harassing my employees for payment by e-mail and phone calls. Randall Root President Root Laboratory

My yard was a disaster. There was very little grass, a lot of tree roots above the ground and dirt throughout. I received several different bids and ideas on how to fix the issue. LDK seem to have the best proposal so I moved forward. The team showed up and worked very hard over two days. They brought in fill dirt, trimmed trees, cut trees out, removed stumps, and then laid sod.They did an excellent job. Throughout the time they were quite professional. Their equipment is top notch and their workers work hard. My backyard looks fantastic!

I was not contacted before or during the time workers were at my place for input or suggestions. No adequate explanations were given when requested of services or complaints when a bill was presented at over several hundreds of dollars per hour time and supplies. Work was actually less than ideal.

Scheduled aeration and overseeding through LDK. Started by requesting a quote from their site and received it by email very shortly. Every interaction I have had has always been positive and they respond quickly. Happy with the service provided!

Our yard was a mess. Areas where the only thing that would grow were weeds, areas of exposed tree roots and bare dirt, holes, and poor drainage causing erosion. LDK fixed it all, with a beautiful pathway consisting of flagstone and river rock, new planting beds and thriving plants, sod, and a new drainage system. They are a great team, and very helpful with ideas and suggestions. They are quick to respond and very helpful as to how to care for the new yard. We also have them do our fertilizer monthly and the lawn looks great.

I am so thrilled to haves a lush green lawn. I had worked with other lawn care companies in the past but The treatments weren t working. I hired LDK to put grass seed down, and begin monthly treatments. Thank you for help me achieve my lawn goals!

If I could give zero starts I would. I hired them to cut my grass and I was scheduled for a weekly mowing. I called them and told them to skip the next week. So they decided to cut my grass and then 4 days later cut it again (claiming the rain that they needed to cut it again) and charge me $45 per cut and I didnt know about the second cut and I did not approve of it prior to the service. They didnt tell me about it they just cut it without the need or permission.

From start to finish LDK was knowledgable and easy to work with. They did a great job on my river rock installation.

Unfortunately, we dont have a lawn for LDK to service but if we did, this is who I would choose. Our car battery died outside a QuikTrip on Johnson Drive in Shawnee today and to extremely kind guys from LDK helped us jump our car. Their kindness and professionalism made our entire day infinitely better. I wish I had gotten their names to mention them here. Thank you both and thank you LDK for hiring good guys like them!

This is an excellent company. They completed everything I contracted. And in fact they did more than I thought about. They even swept the mulch from the street. I highly recommend this company and especially the two employees who did the work.

The grading, sod placement and planting was done as requested. I did wish that they would have let me know that the equipment used to haul dirt and sod to the site for placement would leave tracks that will need to heal.

Have had several other companies provide Aeration to our lawn. LDK is the only company to do it correctly! Great job, great service! I m a happy customer!

I requested a quote from this company to do snow removal on a small parking lot, Zoey in customer service was more than helpful. I was quoted $385 for a single plow and $260 to salt. I was willing to settle for the overpriced $385 plow but as I run a business with a heated parking lot and I have means of salting myself, I did not need the salting. It was poorly explained we d be liable once we touch the lot which in layman s terms means we want you to pay us $650 for a single plow and salt job on a small parking lot. I ve opted to use a local business which did it for LITERALLY half the price and did an exceptional job. I have proof that my parking lot was slush prior to it being plowed and your business is very much incapable of communicating to its customers. Best of luck.

I hired LDK Lawn Services to place two french drains in my backyard to take care of drainage issues. I had a large river that would form during any large rain that would wash out my gardens and cause flooding for my neighbor. I was very please at how quickly LDK could schedule my service and I felt the cost was very reasonable. On site, the workers were courteous and hard working. They completed all the work in one day and cleaned up well after themselves. I would highly recommend LDK for any drainage needs you may have. I am a very satisfied customer!

I was having flooding issues in my backyard and wanted it to be a nice space to hang out. I didnt want anything over the top or expensive but needed a good, long-term solution. These guys did just that! Stayed within my budget and provided quality - my french drain and small patio/landscaped area are perfect. I feel really good about my decision and appreciate they kept me in the whole process. I knew exactly what I was getting and felt like my concerns and ideas were heard. They arrive weekly and do a very good job at mowing and trimming. Never trim the flowers or plants by accident. I just wish they were a little more flexible on the timing of the mowing. I mean we have some periods of the summer when there is no rain and the grass has little growth. But they mow. Their price is reasonable and they do let you know before the work what they charge will be.

I also requested a quote for bed and shrub clean up, and while the missed a few spots, promptly came out and addressed my concerns and got the other spots taken care of. The staff (ladies who answer the phone, etc) were nice, the gentleman doing my yard was very nice and professional when we spoke. However, heres why I gave a low rating. I had to adapt the areas around my plants as weed eating was not effective if they had to go too close to my plants. At my last mow the sprinkler barrier was knocked off and the line on the West of my property was definitely an S mowed line as opposed to an actual straight line. I only had them more 3 times, so this was not setting well. I called the office and advised I was canceling my service, the young woman (name withheld for her privacy) redponded with, OK, your card will be charged today. Ummm, what happened to, Oh, why are you leaving. Im sure my little yard wont be the deal breaker for them, they have lots more to do; I just figured by their declarations on their Website that they loved their customers it meant all, even the peons. Of course, this is just my experience, yours could certainly vary!

Very good web site for getting quotes and accepting. On-line payment was also convenient. Price was a bit high, but my aeration, verticut and dirt addition work was scheduled within 2 weeks, despite very busy season. All work was very professional. Aeration equipment (ride-behind) was very good and allowed for quick double pass plugging.

I have used LDK for snow removal for the last two years. They have been great about keeping my drive and sidewalk clear and safe for me. This fall I asked them to for aeration and overseeding help for my yard. I had several weeds and dead spots. I am happy to say with their work has paid off. I see new grass in areas that had none.

WORST company ever. I was quoted $385.00 for verticutting and thatch raking for a small yard based on it was a time and labor consuming job. They were in and gone in 45 mins w/o checking in w me when finished. I spent the next 5 hours completing the work my self. They took the money and ran. Dont be fooled by these guys. Go somewhere else!

Incredible job! I thought the quote was a little high - but the service we received was second to none! We have 2 very large oak trees on our lot. So many leaves! We have a large lot with beds on the side yards and there is not a leaf to be seen! No mulched leaves anywhere! It s exactly what I wanted. We are definitely leaf removal customers!

They still are very good at lawn care. But their rates have double in a year from $ 43 to$ 86 in 2021 for mowing our lawn each time. They price to clear 6000sq feet of lawn of by blowing leaves into the back yard $685. They have become to expensive for me

Pricing is actually decent but if I wasn t persistent in getting in touch with them, I feel as though they would have never gotten back with me. Still currently waiting on a rebid since their original one didn t even include what I had asked to bid in the first place! Frustrating for sure.

I have been very pleased with LDK services in the past, BUT last weeks mow and trim was not what I have come to expect.... The trim was miserable in my back yard. I realize the crew was pressed (mostly due to my interference with schedule) but if you are going to do it, do it right!

Impeccable! The best lawn care service hands down. Every blade cut up to the trunks of the trees. The walks perfectly edged, yard furniture moved and mowed under, not a blade of grass on the walkways.. Just perfect!!!! every time and the crew is so nice. Call LDK first and last. Dont waste your time with the other companies like I did.

Overall good service. Our lawn always looks as good and the value for our money is fair. A few things that would plus up our LDK experience: online billing instead of mailed invoice, and maybe just leaf-blowing brush and leaves off the porch into the yard before mowing.

LDK does a great job on my yard. They are reasonable and are very reliable. I am glad that out of all of the lawn services, I chose LDK.

I would give them a zero if I could. They mowed my lawn and charged me $72. The reason was because my grass was tall. Half of my front yard is practically dead. I was home when he mowed my lawn. He was here a max of 15 minutes. My yard is .122 acres. Shocked and unsatisfied and will not recommend them to anyone.

LDK did a fantastic job installing a French drain system on our hilly yard. We had taken on water in the basement this summer after some serious rain and I received 6 quotes. We chose LDK because they were professional and reasonably priced. We are so happy with the results they provided to solve the water problems. Drainage system, sloping/grading away from the house and added downspout drains to the system. I would highly recommend the company.
