Very disappointed with booking this Snowbird snow removal service. While I understand it’s the lowest priority package, the descriptions on their website were not aligned and caused significant misunderstanding. The phrase “After Standard & Supreme” wasn’t clearly presented initially—or at least the contract page should clearly highlight this in bold. Once you’re in this situation, your only option is to pay more to upgrade, as you don't wanna waste your $400 that was paid already. Had I known that the Snowbird package was intended for properties without residents (as their representative later explained), I would have chosen a different provider. For those considering Snowbird, here’s what you should expect: your driveway will likely be cleared about 13 hours after a storm (10-15cm) ends. Be prepared for significant delays and ensure the package aligns with your needs before committing.
We have been very pleased with Capital’s snow removal and their summer fertilization services. I just watched their staff apply granular fertilizer, hand pull weeds and blow the fertilizer overspray off the walkways and was impressed with their thoroughness. On some visits they also apply a liquid weed spray which is effective on broad leafed weeds. Their winter snow blowing service is equally well done and timely. We even received a credit for last winter due to less snow. It’s always been easy to reach someone at the office by phone or email and their customer service is first rate. A number of years ago we had them do a patio/front walkway for us and were very impressed. Also nice that we did not have to pay anything until the work was done. Combining summer and winter services and pre-paying provides good value and we have been doing that for 4-5 years now.
Based on my experience, I found their snow removal service to be poor and expensive. They damaged my asphalt with their equipment, leaving a deep line, and refused to take responsibility. Despite being a long-time customer, they offered a flimsy excuse, blaming a stone. I had to pay for the repairs myself, and the damage is still visible. I do not recommend their services.
Their services are largely fine but you could be the unlucky one if you are not part of populated area they serve. Last winter, I have had multiple instances where my driveway was skipped and the driver just went past. Then you'll have to follow up on call to request them to send driver again to clear the snow or you are on your own. I used their summer services as well once and wasn't really satisfied. They quickly go through the motions but don't pay attention to detail. For the amount they charge for their services, expectations are higher but they fall short.
An update, they came and changed the cracked pavers for free. And I did not have to chase them or remind them to do the job. Switched from Kodiak to Capital Services last year, because the owner dropped by my office once and sold me on the switch, I think the gentleman's name is Dimitri if I recall correctly. My entire driveway is interlock. 1. They service the driveway on time, no complains there. 2. I always thought they drop the blower to hard on the driveway and with kodiak blowers I always saw 1X2 wood at bottom of the blower where it contacts the driveway, with Capital I did not see this, it was metal. Again I don't know the business so can't comment one way or another. 3. Mid March when the snow was gone I noticed a lot of scratches on the driveway and 6-7 crushed stones. So I emailed some pictures and filed a report. 4. called back again after 6-7 weeks of no contact from the company to see where we stand. They mentioned since my paver is a bit textured they won't cover the damage and it is in the contract. ok. 5. when I asked what about the 6-7 crushed and cracked pavers the lady that was answering said they will not do anything about those either. 6. She also mentioned I did not submit any pictures of crushed or cracked stones which I did and it is attached below. SO here is my view, if you the company knows they have issues with textured pavers why do they take the job to start with? do they think that a customer that has spend 30k$+ on his/her driveway just doesn't care if it gets ruined? Taking money is easy but as a company if you know the end result is not satisfactory don't take the job! How is having a texture on a paver related with crushed or crack damages on the pavers? shouldn't the cracked pavers be fixed by the company? Also another feedback as a customer with extensive damage on the driveway, when I called them and mentioned that there are cracked pavers the lady on the other end kept going on that there is no cracked paver on my driveway :) apparently she knows my driveway better then I do, when I tried to interrupt her to say there are cracked pavers she continued that I am rude for interrupting her and she will hang-up now :D I remember you were all smiles when I interrupted you because you were taking my credit card number down incorrectly, that interruption is not rude of course!
The snow blowing service provided by Capital Services over the many years we have been with them has been great! The drivers ensure that the driveway is completely cleared in a timely manner and the office staff ensure that updates and schedules are provided well in advance of and during snow events. Each year they seem to add a new feature to enhance their service such as newer, quieter tractors and improved online communication. We will certainly continue using their service.
I was with Capital snow remove for few years. I used to be happy. But this year, I am very disappointed. They missed my house and I called and also used online dispatch. After 15 hr, the snow are still not cleared. The last email I got from them was: Our record shows we had been to your place .... but please!....see the photo
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY NEVER RESPOND AND DO NOT KEEP THEIR WORD, THEIR STAFF DO NOT CARE. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED (Summary) So here I am with a damaged and all messed up hedge that was I manicuring to make it look half decent, and they destroyed it. Then I was nice enough and just asked for them to try and fix it. But they never did anything. I gave them more than enough time to make it right, (4 months) and they never did. One of my neighbours used this company, This dumb tractor operator decided to push ALL his snow into my hedge. NOT on the outside, no. In my hedge and over the hedge... I had to come out and explain to him that you can't do that. His manager or Forman should have come by and showed him where to put his snow, not let his incompetent driver just figure it out. Common sense. If you see the hole hedge start falling apart, maybe stop and re-consider. Don't just continue. So after explaining this to the driver, they continued to blow their snow there. i had to keep coming out, but considering I work 11–13 hours per day, I'm not always there, or I'm sleeping. He kept blowing his snow INTO my yard now, and onto my glass table and chairs. The driver was an Indian fellow and did not understand what he was doing wrong (use his description to know who to stay away from) Having worked in this industry for many years, I know that a good company makes their rounds and checks out the work that their workers do. Clearly they don't. They just assume everything is ok. If they had competent management, they would have seen the damage that this guy was doing and took care of it. But no So in the spring I contacted this company, and they told me to go on their website and file a report, so I did. It said they would contact me in the next two week. IT LITERARY TOOK THEM EXACTLY TWO WEEKS. After speaking to someone, it took another two weeks for someone to show up. They said that they would clean up the mess and plant some new trees. They said that they could come by in the next month. That was back in June... No call no show no follow up no nothing. And a hadn't full of 20cm event. Nothing bad at all. This was on the more relaxed winters we had in a long time. I can only imagine what they would do with a winter in 2008-2009 I've already told a group of business owners and homeowners to stay away from them. They don't deserve more business if they can't take care of what they already have, or had. Update: They tried contacting me, i literally want nothing to do with them. They’ve already wasted enough of my time and i do not trust their work or judgment. Sue is the one who tried calling me. She went on trying to guilt trip me about my very honest review. Saying it makes me look dumb that I call someone who made a dumb mistake and kept doing the same mistake. Shes offended from me calling someone by their nationality and explaining they couldn’t understand me… imagine being offended for someone else when they are probably very proud of being from that culture and also understand that most people will have a hard time understanding their accent. Everyone is offended now a days, what a joke. If someone called you canadien, would you be offended? She tried blaming other companies, everyone else was placing their snow in the desensitized area. She then went on saying I SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED THEM. When i gave them 4 months to fix something. And never got a call back

We have fertilizer and weeds control service contract with Capital Lawn Care in Kanata starting this spring. Weeds on the lawn are worse than when we signed the contract. We have spoken to the person who come and apply the weed control application and he mentioned that it will get better by the fall. We called the office regarding it and a supervisor came to discuss our concerns. Instead of offering a solution, he recommended not to take any specific actions now but to wait until next year in spring to control it. With my own experience and talking with my friends, we think that this is a stupid idea, as weeds will grow more in the fall and early spring and it will be more problematic next year. We were surprised by the supervisor s idea not control it now and wait till next year. In that case, it shouldn t be like this now.
This review is regarding their costumer service not about their snow plowing services that I have been satisfied with so far. Since the stars are reflective of all aspects of services, I think I am generous enough to give them a 3-stars with my concerns described further below. After the snow season, the company removed the pickets on April 9 in our neighbourhood. However, they could not remove one of the rebars next to my driveway although they removed the yellow cover. I brought this to their attention immediately and followed up two more times over the following 30 days until May 8. They just kept promising with no actions. Since the first time advising them, I indicated this is a health and safety concern as the yellow cover was removed and the sharp rebar was hardly visible with a risk of injury to my young kids playing in the driveway as well as for the vehicles hitting the rebar. On May 8 I wrote them: I will remove it myself over the coming weekend, if it is not already removed by your staff in the next couple of days. As it was not removed, I had to spend an hour to remove it myself over that weekend. Still no follow ups from Capital Services since then ... Photos are available upon request!!!
I do not advise doing with them for the snow removal service, do not keep their promise, the main thing for them to have customers, you pay to clear snow space for two garages and it does for one garage and when in fact they do the remark he does worse. same thing for cleaning the main entrance,
Dishonest and shady. Had their worker lie to my face during the quoting, just to get my business, then didn t do the full work as promised during the quote yet was still charged for all of it. Instead of apologizing or rectifying it, as a reputable company should, they had their same worker call me and deny everything, was very rude and aggressive and told me the full conversation we had during the quote never happened like I imagined it! I told them I was not paying the remainder until the full job was completed but of course that never happened and they went ahead and charged my card without my consent or any warning. Capital service business model: lie to get your business, do half of the work and deny the agreement that was made and then make sure to charge for the full job.
Capital Services is on a whole different playing field.. From customer service, quality of work, Community involvement.... and so much more its no wonder they continue to exceed all expectations!

Boy, are these folks good or what. On time whenever a winter storm rolls in. Driveway cleared every morning with a second pass if needed. If you need more as in the car was in the driveway, no problem. You just call or text them and they are back before you know it. Highly recommend this company. Capital Services has been providing us with snow removal and lawn services for the past several years. Their service level has always been exceptional - prompt snow removal, return to clear the driveway after the city plow etc. And they have continued to improve that service with the addition of alerts by email and text to advise when the operators are starting their runs, the notice of when the snow removal operator will arrive at our property etc. These folks really know what service is!!

Capital ensures that my lane is cleared during the worst of it, and most importantly, quickly moves that annoying ice wall that the city plow leaves at the end of my driveway!

Capital Snow removal services are THE BEST city wide. I have used Capital for 7 years here in Stittsville. They are always the first out to clear driveways and the last to go home. In huge storms like the one this past weekend, it is common for them to come 2 or 3 times, and then again after the street plows have passed. Their drivers are expert handlers of their mammoth machines, getting every last speck of snow. They are careful not to damage any trees or bushes you may have on your property and are very thorough. This year, stop one of the drivers and offer them a cup of coffee to go. They work so tirelessly and without complaint. The office staff arr fabulous, responding to phone calls after hours and on weekends. Their customer support and communications are excellent, with up to the minute updates of when they are coming by and how often. It always makes you feel like you are on their radar and you will not be forgotten. I love Capital Services. And their summer services are also excellent. With lawn and yard care, they are equally professional. Dont book your snow removal or yard work with the competition. With Capital, you are in the best hands. Karen spierkel

We recently moved to Ottawa from New Brunswick and we were landlords responsible for providing snow removal services for two apartment buildings and our own property for 9 years. The service we are receiving from Capital is superior to our previous experience. More often, more timely, more thorough with relatively speaking lower price. Additionally, the excellent forms of communication are greatly appreciated.
I have been lucky enough to have Capital as our snow removal service/company for the last 10+ years. As my wife and I are seniors, we depend on a service like Capital. Dependability is very important for us as we need to get to many doctors appointments, and not having to worry about getting out of our driveway is key. What makes Capital stand out from other similar providers is that they take you on a positive journey...they initially set you up the way you would like them to contact you (email,SMS)....they then inform you on what to expect (snow removal wise) when a storm hits.....they give you a range of times their snow removal team will be operating....then they specifically contact you directly when your house will be next for snow removal (typically 5-10 minutes)....they also come back within 5-10 minutes right after city plows have placed a huge mound at the end of your driveway.....lastly they inform you when all cleaning is complete. Bottomline their efforts make you feel like a valued customer.

Been with Capital Services now for 3 years, and am very pleased with their service. Capital has a minimum and maximum snow allowance that covers our fees. If they go over the threshold we are charged more. This was to be the case last year but they opted to waive the amount and made it the new level for this season. Capital also maintains an offer if they do not reach a minimum amount of snow (150 cms). Rebate or equivalent offer seems to be in our sights this year. As for their communication skills they are right on it. We are informed of upcoming storms and their plan of attack, with updates along the way, or even better, complimentary snow plowing to simply clean up the area after a few days of snow. In a recent survey we were to tell them of any deficiencies; I had one that occurred every time my driver came to clean up. They obviously listened as the next snowfall this error was corrected. Will continue to use them. They are worth considering in your area.

We are long term clients and value their service. 5/5 We didnt like the walk shoveling because they chose to only come once per snow event. If it snowed for 3 days, our walk was only shoveled once at the end of the 3rd day. Particularly bad for people with disabilities & wheelchairs.

Capital Snow removal has been providing winter driveway service for a number of years at our residence. We have always received exceptional, timely service. When there is snow coming they communicate what their plan is and give us the time of when we can expect the driveway service. Capital also follows the city snow removal and comes back to clear the driveway after they have been by. We also have the option of GPS tracking of their locations. I started to use Capital Services for snow removal 2 years ago because I had shoulder surgery and was unable to shovel. I was so pleased that I signed up again and will continue to use their service every winter from now on! Their excellent plowing entails several passes until the customer is satisfied. There is never a problem getting out of your driveway to get to work. You are able to track the tractor assigned to your address. Questions/ comments are always quickly addressed via email, text or phone according to your preference. And they also have a Facebook page. I have had the pleasure of using Capital Snow Removal for quite a few years. I have found them to be excellent by way of clearing the snow from my driveway in a timely manner on a first pass and then again numerous times over the day or snowfall. I live on a busier street with sidewalks so the city contractor clears the streets are cleared often and the sidewalk as well which means the Capital snow removal staff must come by after the repeat plowing by the city. I really do appreciate the multiple clearings by Capital. They are careful with my property as well - I have not had any issue with damaged lawn or pavement. I feel confident that I have made an Excellent choice in snow clearing.

This is our second season with Capital. So far could not ask for better service. First pass has usually cleared the driveway before we get up in the morning, and second pass after city plow has filled in the bottom of the driveway has usually been within half an hour after the city goes by. Twice this year they have done a courtesy clearing even though the snow amount was less than the required 5 cm. Extra features like real-time GPS map showing where our tractor driver is have been great. Price is competitive, and they have replied to emails very quickly. Great work Capital.

Optional SMS notifications, 15 minute warnings to move your car from your driveway if you require the whole driveway cleared. They communicate expected storms via email and update when theyre planning to send their drivers out to start their routes. I am a re-occurring customer. I dont think I could be any happier with their consistent spectacular service. As a busy mom, it is such a relief to have the driveway clear when I leave and come home. When I moved to Kanata in 2012, I was initially using a different snow removal service, but they were unreliable, consistently inconsistent and charging more than other services in the area. When I was referred to Capital Services, hearing a glowing report didnt convince me entirely that Id be getting a good service. Id heard the same thing about my previous provider and that was far from accurate. My first winter with them was exceptional to say the least. And Ive been a happy client of theirs ever since. They even came around a couple of times when there was less than 5cm (which is how much they usually require to send out their crews) I love how they keep track of when the city trucks have gone by and will come around again just to clear the end of your laneway.
Ive been with Capital for years and love the peace of mind their service gives us. Their communications during upcomming and during snow events is spectacular, from when their expect to start their passes to providing courtesy passes. The GPS tracking makes it easy to move a car if you need to. Dispatch has only ever been kind and gracious on the rare times Ive needed to ask for a 2nd pass and theyve always shown up. Their equipment does our 2x-car driveway in seconds what it would take me 2hrs to do if its the 0C wet and heavy snow. Ive personally observed them watching for pedestrians (lots of winter-walkers in my area) and traffic and timing their run down the driveway to keep everyone safe and not impede traffic. Their drivers always smile and wave if you wave at them which is a nice little warm gesture in cold times. Ill be with Capital for years to come, they dont just set the bar high, they somehow find a way to raise it a little bit each year.

I am not a customer, but I was trying to clear our driveway with a crying toddler and small child. I was clearly struggling and the capital snow plow kindly helped me clear my drive after doing my neighbours. When I have enough disposable income, I will definitely sign up with capital.

Although I live in a central place, after the snow removal mail came, they did not come on the day of heavy snowfall 2 times, we informed them by phone and they said that the employee was tired. Although we used the same company as the next door neighbor, our car park was always profitable. And as you can see in this picture, they dont clean it from where they put the yellow mark. Normally, its asphalt. After we got out of the car, we had to jump on the ground up to our knees. I dont want to work with this company ever again.
Absolutely horrible snow services. Driveway was not cleared till next day, causing me to shovel snow multiple times. I been with them for over 5 years and every year it has been getting worst. They are over saturated, will not come back ever. Communication with the company was nonexistent and they showed no regard for customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
Do not hire this company. There are many more companies I see that provide far more for the same or lesser price. Signed up at the end of December and was still charged full season price (fine). But what is the point of having a garage to park your car in if all they do is put all the snow in front of it?? They don t clear a walkway (even if it s a foot long) and they will not send someone after the city plow goes by. I got a snow service because I ve had scoliosis since a very young age. Paying over $385 to get this as your service is robbery. Don t waste your time! Give your money to someone who actually cares.

Head office staff are argumentative and refuse to take any responsibility for their driver s actions of repeatedly dumping snow on my driveway 4 times and counting. Neighbour who has the contract with them agrees they are dumping snow on purpose. Neighbour broke his arm but helped clean the snow since Capital was unresponsive to his calls as well. Once again, the Capital driver decided that throwing my neighbours snow into my driveway was the easiest solution. I again called Capital and although they seem nice on the phone, no one has shown up yet to clear my driveway. In the past, I had even taken the effort to speak to the driver to let him know that if he ran out of room (for snow) he could blow the overflow onto my lawn (as I have a bigger lawn). Just disappointing that you have to make sure people do the right thing rather than what they can get away with.

Imagine spending 400$ on a snow service for the first time because you have scoliosis and really needed to have help this year and this is what I have to deal with. Call them and they don t come because it s not enough snow for them to come. My driveway shouldn t look like this all winter long.
They did the snowplowing for our house. They are amazing and send out emails when they are heading out to do your laneway to give you a heads up when they are coming. They have lots of sign up incentives. Best snowplow company in the city. They also do summer work as well.

Best Snow clearing and yard maintenance services Ottawas west end, they regularly kept our driveway clear along with the walkway even with this exceptional snowy 2022/23 winter season, also no extra snow overage charges was an added bonus very pleased with their services
While I do appreciate that Drivers could be in a hurry to attend to other locations, snow clearing is not done efficiently from picket to picket as announced and promised leaving snow accumulating and building up on the sides of the driveway. As a result driveway gets tighter in width over time. Capital announced that pickets would be removed shortly this April but one of the pickets on my driveway is totally buried under snow! Earlier in the season, and on multiple occasions the driver was probably in a hurry to finish clearing the snow bank left behind by City and as such snow, which started to become icy mounds after few days blocked the corners of the driveway. However, i have to admit that Capital was very responsive when I complained and attended quickly to the problem. Having said that, Im generally satisfied with the service and hope that Capital takes some additional measures to fine tune its good service.

WORST: The worst snow removal service ever. During a snow storm, all the other driveways in my neighborhood are cleaned up by other service providers except ones with capital services. The driveway is full of snow, and you can t go outside just because capital services have not yet cleared the snow!! This is the worst service i have ever experienced! One should benefit from these services, instead you are stuck all day inside your house, because they haven t shown up. And since we hired them to remove snow from our driveway, we don t have a snow removal either to clear out 20 cm of snow!! I tried to call and the nobody answered!

Email and text communications are excellent however where the rubber hits the road well, it doesn t and that s the problem. Today s comms said there would be multiple passes but there was only one at 8 AM and on a Saturday that s early and our cars were still in the driveway. We moved our cars at 8:30 but it s now 5:00 PM and I have a driveway full of snow still, I guess I ll go shovel it myself now. I emailed their dispatch centre and got a prompt and friendly reply but what I need is a tractor to remove my snow, at the end of the day, that s all that really matters. This is the 3rd snowfall of the season, service was very slow and sloppy on the first two and so far today there hasn t been any service at all. I recommend the competition, and will switch back next year. Update: I received a follow-up call and an offer to make it right. The caller was honest and acknowledged that there were some issues on their side which have been addressed. It s always tough to say we screwed up, so I give Capital full marks for owning that.
I have been a client of Capital Services for several seasons. I have had no issues until this winter. My laneway has been missed three times this year, while neighbours on both sides have been plowed. Like most people, I pay for a plowing service for the convenience of not having to worry about shovelling. Right now I am paying for services I am not recieving, and I have to spend my free time communicating with Capital Services to do what they were paid to do.

I rented a property that had contracted them for the season. They sent out email alerts in regards to snow fall and what their action plan will be. They are consistently on time and do two passes. They will clear during the end of a storm. If there is space to get the plow in they do as much as they can, if for example youre still parked on your driveway. They come back a little later and clean up the city plow leftovers. After every snowfall the driveway is nice and done.

Price increased around 100$ from 2021 to 2022 stating that my neighborhood had a special offer for only a year (never was I aware of that). Told them I am not interested in getting their services unless it was a similar price as last year. They then provided me a measly 2% discount to try to satisfy me. Few months later they are following up and I told them I have nothing to say unless the price is similar to last years. They proceed to call me and harass me to tell me the same thing as they did last year...why are you calling me when I said I have nothing to say. You provided nothing new in the phone call. Just repeating what you did last year. Crazy customer service from Capital.

This is my first time using a snow plough service. I am extremely pleased with Capital; they came highly recommended. They are amazing! They arrive shortly after snow fall and come back once the city plough has been by; to clear away the snow left by the city plough. They also came back another time after having ploughed, to push back the snow bank at the end of my driveway! I definitely would recommend this 5 star service!!!
The GPS is not working this year.
Shovel broke, called Capital services to see if they had time to clean just the end of the driveway in this crazy snow storm. They came literally right away and cleared the end of the driveway plus the rest that we didnt get too! Extremely pleased with this quick and friendly service and thankful to their team for helping us out!

We have been using Capital Services for the past 4 years despite hearing bad reviews about them through our neighbours. Most of our neighbourhood goes with a different company. Capital Services have been good in the past. However, this year when they have had to work the least due to lack of snow their service have been horrible. As I m writing this review my car is parked in the street because Capital hasn t gone by after the street plow went by and I have a big snow bank at the end of my driveway that my car won t go over. I contacted them an hour ago and a extremely rude lady told me they only have two drivers working in my area (like that is the customer s problem) and they should be here in an hour. Well ... that was a lie, Capital is still a no show. See you NOT next year!
Ive had Capital snow removal for several awesome years now. My neighbours have other companies but IMO, Capital is the best.
I called them because we had a huge snow storm and I wasn t able to shovel it all, it was up to my thighs. The came within 15 minutes of calling and when I called the later that afternoon because I hadn t received the bill she told me not to worry about it, they did it for free. I am so flabbergasted by the kindness.
Lessons learned. Theres a reason why everyone on the street goes with Kodiak. They come by muitple times per day with multiple drivers (neighbours on all sides use them) while I *hope* someone from capital will come by. End result, I end up shovelling. I will gladly pay 100-200-300 extra next year for the service my neighbourhood receives elsewhere.
i was using their services for years but this year they even do not show up or they are hours late. i had to clear my driveway 5 times this season. and when i approached them for explanation, they lectured with how they are doing better than other companies. my neighbors have service with #kodiak and their driveway is always clean except mine i do not recommend this company anymore since they only want more customers and they do not care about the quality of service
They scratched our new interlock driveway, and knocked off and scratched the pillar as well. Now not responding to our claim
I m very disappointed with dynamics which occurred in reference to the snow removal. I had been a previous customer for five years. Last year I noticed that the snow removal for my adjacent neighbour was being snow widening on my portion of property. This year the driver was doing the same thing but now its two and a half feet on my city portion side. Instead of having a rectangular chunk of the city portion I now have a Rock of Gibraltar. I can t use my city portion effectively because of this situation; it s widened by about two feet plus a triangle chunk at the end. Where do I put my snow? The properties were designed in a way to accommodate for snow coverage clearance. It s sad that I had to advise the office of this situation as well as talk to the neighbour. Perhaps it s time to change to another company next year, one who appreciates my business and with some ethics in place. It is January 17 2022 the snow has start between the night tof the 16th and 17 and today we received 10 cm every hours almost ,all the people that has that yellow sign for snow removal in my street in kanata south are still waiting to have their driveway clean at 5:28PM on January 17th 2022. Perhaps they should do paid when they want too since this company seams to believe you paid them and they come when they feel like. Perhaps because they have few vehicule and take more customer rhey can handle so now they cannot come when needed. it is ridiculous rather pick up the snow myself at list my drive way is clean since the morning and save some money too to spend on something that is worth the price.
This is our second year using capital services. Last year, they did an acceptable job for big snowfalls, although we were disappointed that they didnt do anything for small ones. This year, its been the same story, except that they also did half our driveway, despite doing the entirety of both neighbors. No reason for them to be this sloppy.
I am very pleased and impressed with the Snow removal after the huge snowfall of January 17th my driveway was cleared early and again twice during the day. They are a very professional team who are responsive and really good at what they do. I would highly recommend them .

Used them for snow removal for 6 years, consistently good. This year they stepped up with their timely up to date communication and coordination with city of Ottawa snow plowing is awesome. I never wondered when they would arrive. They also provide expected weather conditions and their snow removal plan for you area. Exceptional!,
Very mediocre service. We were with Kodiak for a few years, which was adequate, but we saw Capital on our street in Brookside regularly and they did a good job on my street. However, this winter has been a BIG disappointment. Our driver doesnt do a good job on our driveway, hes very slow to do City returns (after the plow comes by), and hes typically slower to arrive compared to Kodiak, which services some of our neighbours. I emailed Capital a few weeks ago to express my concerns and never heard from them. Guess Capital doesnt care about customer service. And guess who well go with next winter? Starts with the letter K.
It is the badest service ever we had received , we just register with them this year and our first experience with them was at the first snow storm as they didnt show up till i called them 4 times to come and shovels our drive way , then ended up yesterday they never show up and left my driveway with 10cm of snow which make me stuck while am trying to go to my garage. it is very disappointed experience.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. The driver knocks our light off all the time and the fixture is broken yet again. Third call this year to the office to get it resolved. In a day and age when you can aim where the snow goes I dont know why it is not possible to avoid breaking the light. Do not sign up and get capital to promise results for you as you can see by the number of unhappy customers it is not possible. You have been warned.
If Capital was in my driveway any more often I would have to start charging them rent. Great service.
I was with Kodiak last year, they were great, but Capital are just as good, and might be even better. I can never expect a snow removal company to never once miss my lane the entire season, they are human after all. I was worried about switching to Capital, because Kodiak never gave me any grief (If its not broken...), and especially because almost all my neighbours (over 80%) are with Kodiak this year. Im glad I decided to do the switch. Both companies missed my lane about 2-3 times, but when I fill out a form at Capital, they arrive much much faster than when I used to do it with Kodiak. So considering Capital were 20% cheaper, I would probably sign up with them next year as well. The GPS tracker works better with Kodiak, but I never use it. If my driveway has more than 5 cm of fresh snow, and it wasnt cleared for a day, I just send a form, and it gets cleaned. They do facebook alerts when they go on route, which is convenient for me. Well done Capital!
Last year was the 1st time using snow removal services and we used Capital and we were happy and satisfied with the service we recived no issues what so ever. Called for a quote for lawncare services on Sept 16. Called a week later to order the services and was told they are no longer doing lawncare this year. This was never mentioned when I asked for the quote the week before. Said they would check whether Kyle or Kerry could still come to our property. Never received a call back.

I signed up and paid 3 weeks ago (more than 2 weeks before the first snow storm), and they didnt install the pickets on my driveway, as a result the driver didnt service my property. Even today when it snowed they havent cleared my driveway, and I see other companies on my street with no issues. Like other users have said their mailbox is always full, so you cant even reach them on the phone. They dont respond to emails or even their online dispatch service. From other reviews it seems Im not the only one this has happened to this year. They are even delaying my refund. They are quick in taking your money, but will take days to refund back if you are in the situation like myself and other. Just called another company and they came and serviced within the hour or signing up.

Horrendous experience with this company! Had to call several times throughout the 2018-19 season because we had a foot of snow in our driveway from the early morning to late evening, and Id be met with rude customer service over the phone - giving me the classic according to the contract statements youd expect to get from big corporations. And it gets worse, if you can believe it. With Capital opting to send out an extra bill at the end of the season, because apparently more snow fell than the contract covered..? I call this the risk of the industry. Similar to the way an all you can sushi place loses when people eat too much. But more importantly, wouldnt this mean I get money back when i eat less or it doesnt snow? Capital says so, but Ive yet to see it. And either way, Ill be going with another company or opting to shovel my own driveway next year. Anyone looking for a clean driveway (within 12hrs of snowing), and no surprise bills (6 months later) is urged to do the same.
Service is fine - not perfect but I didnt expect it this winter. Pretty angry at getting an additional bill - it is indeed in their terms in conditions, conveniently included as a link in the initial email so your attention is not brought to this condition. Also odd policy: why would I pay now if a credit would only be applied the next year? I find this practice quite aggravating and shady. Also, a courteous t a warning at the reach of 275 cm would have decreased my level of dissatisfaction. Will likely not call upon their services again due to the lack of transparency.
I really dont know what makes these idiots think its fine to park on the only sidewalk on Fisher ave. Forcing people to walk around their truck and into traffic This company obviously hires losers who dont know what is right and wrong. Amended : yes you were also reviewed on Facebook, where you tried over and over again to justify why you had to park on the only sidewalk on Fisher for no reason and pretending you were installing interlock.. There is plenty of parking across the street from this house, and they could of parked on the side street. This truck was not unloading anything,, had nothing in the trailer and the crew just decided to park there all day, forcing people to walk around them on a busy street. I find it funny that every contractor feels they can do what they please with the pretense that they are just trying to make a living. You shouldnt be trying to justify that it was the correct thing to do, but you should be saying you wont do it again in another neighborhood. However you dont want to own up to something that was clearly wrong.
I have been with Capital for a few years. I have had positive experience all years except last year. We had lots of snow in front of the house that was not plowed in the morning. In the afternoon, I saw one of the drivers doing neighbours driveway and I asked him to remove the remaining pile of snow. He passed me ignorantly. And he left me with part of the driveway full of snow while we were expecting many guests that night.

I have been with Capital Services for over 7 years. Every year there service keeps getting worse. When I call they say someone will be there sooner or later. I call with a follow up call, they say they will have someone come over. After three hours of waiting, no one shows up and their offices are closed. No way to contact them, just leave a message. They have grown too big to provide quality service. Their services are now hit or miss. If you are lucky you get good service, if not, tough luck. Terrible service and definitely poor customer service. It would be nice if they just told the customer no one is coming so that the client can just clean the snow themselves and not be left hanging.
My first year of snow removal used Kodiak, they had excellent service. I tried Capital because the price was good. Because my two closet neighbour are still with Kodiak still, so I can compare the services between apple to apple. Sometimes I found Capital missing some removals during the season. When I called them asking why, they were kind of arrogant, telling me it was OK, you dont need to worry about it. Today I took the picture shown their snow removal result. Unless they are improving the service on the remaining season. I will certainly reconsider other alternatives next year. I am not completely satisfied with their services, but I will still give them three stars. Overall it is not too bad.. Just be fair! Sometimes bad services are also largely related to the performance of employees like any other service sectors. The companies just need to hire good and responsible workers.

I m new to Stittsville and new to hiring a company to clean my driveway. I ve never received such terrible customer service from the office staff to the guy who drives the tractor. I ve been missed many times and when the driver does show because I called the job he does is terrible. Most recent I went to move my car for him and he just left and didn t do the area that was car was parked in. I ve sent emails to the office still no response. I would never recommend this company. I now know why I m the only person in the street the uses them.
Huge thank you to one of your drivers who helped me when I was struggling to shovel the very end of my driveway where the plow had left a large heavy mound of snow. He blew it all away for me in about 30 seconds but it literally made my entire day. Thank you!!
I live on parade drive ,my husband is in his sixtys ,he still wants to remove the snow and it is along driveway and a nice man from that company was doing the neighbors driveways ,he came in our driveway and removed the bi g wall of snow the city leaves I was surprised and happy for that generous act from a stranger, I sure will take that company when needed.Thank you sir for that
