Snow removal service taken. Some issues in the beginning with operator but overall very professional, responsive and on time. Communication and work was excellent.

They have been keeping us informed every time we get a snow storm. They tell us how many times they will be by, they give us enough notice for us to remove our vehicles before they arrive to clear our driveway. Ive contacted them by email and they replied within an hour. They are really polite and professional. This was our first time hiring them and it wont be the last time.

This was our first year for snow removal. Service was pretty good considering we did not have many snowfalls this winter. Only concern is even though we put markers to show the edge of driveway it was not cleared close to markers which meant more shoveling for us..we will keep an eye out for that next snow season.

Terrible service, will be switching to another company next year. They leave huge amounts snow at the end of the driveways from the city ploughs and do not come back to remove them. You have to call them to ask for the snow to be removed. They wont work on holidays so youll be stuck with snow if you get any. They come at all hours of the morning so you dont know when to move your car for the snow to be removed. Very disappointing.

This is my 3rd season using Barrhaven snow removal and my experience has been nothing but perfect! Communicating constantly throughout storms, responding to emails in timely fashion (even on snowy days) and price is very reasonable. If you want snow removal then this would be the best choice.

Was really happy with snow removal last year, this year, up until a couple of weeks ago all was great. However, things have turned on a dime & I think they may be under new management because the service has gone from amazing to I can t believe I ve wasted my money. Hopefully, things will resume back to normal soon.

This company is responsible for clearing my neighbors driveway. While doing so, they blow a large percentage upon my adjacent driveway effectively doubling the amount of snow that I have to clear. In my opinion, this is very careless and unprofessional. Despite attempts to reach this company to rectify the situation, it continues. Shame on them for their inconsiderate practices. To support this business is to support thoughtless and lazy actions and ill treatment of your neighbors. I dont know about you, but I still care about my neighbors whereas this company can care less about anyone.

Hello, just wanted to give a shout out to Barrhaven for their great snow removal this season. The team was responsive and respectful. Will continue with them for the season 2022-2023. We couldn t be happier with the service!

This is my first time using Barrhaven Landscaping & Snow Removal Inc. services and I am extremely pleased with their overall service in keeping my double driveway cleared from snow build-up. I receive timely notices of their arrival and whats good is that they keep pace with the Citys street and sidewalk clearing and come to clear my driveway. This way I am not fuming or forcing to drive over clumps of snow when the City and Sidewalk vehicle leave their clump of snow at the end of my clean driveway. I would most certainly recommend this company for their snow removal service and their price.

My grandpa bought their service this year based on a discount that was offered in order to get him signed up. He originally thought he could get the price of $340 for the year that is contingent on both him and his neighbour signing up (he has a shared driveway) but when he found out he would have to pay the full amount of $425 he was not going to buy the service. He was then offered the price of $360 for the service as an incentive to get him signed up. At this point everything was great. Fast forward to January when the service was cancelled and he was told he would have to pay the difference between what he paid and the full amount if he wanted the service to continue. When I spoke to the office they said this was impossible - despite the fact that he paid in person at their office and no issue was raised about the price at that time. The lower price of $360 is also written on his contract in handwriting that is very clearly not his. Now, even though he only got the service for half the year they will not provide any refund. Just be aware of these misleading business practices if youre going to use them. Get everything in writing, dated and initialed, or they will just call you a liar and keep your money. Hopefully after seeing this review a fair resolution can be found.

Excellent communication, great snow removal

Worst snow removal company, with 15cm snow piled on driveway, it is 3pm, no show up, called, the answer is we don t know what time will be there, the excuse is their tractor could break down on the road. But never say anything when pre charging 500$ for a double car garage, no, it is NOT a long driveway, it is for a house on a standard 100 feet long lot February 23, 2023: After almost two months of the season started, all I can say is they are not showing up at least 60% of the time before 9 am, especially when there is a big snow storm at the night before, paid 500$ for a standard double car driveway, but have to shovel myself out in the morning, this is unacceptable! The reason I am still with them is because after the first big snow fall I called them, they said you can go with other company but we only give you back 200$ out of 500$ I prepaid them. This is our first time and LAST time using them. BE AWARE: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY for snow removal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plows came by often, plenty of communication regarding snow storm planning and notification of plow arrival and had no complaints from neighbours regarding improper snow dumping. 10/10 would use again.

Snow Removal 2022-2023 season. *****This company is amazing, they are really organized. We have used a few other companies over the years but this one actually tells you what their snow removal plans are and keeps you informed. They also send text or email to tell you when sonw plow is close this is great because we have a single car drive and two outdoor cars so we can move the cars and not worry about missing the plow. A couple of bad time I send email to ask when they would be coming as we dont want to get parking ticket either and they answered promptly and came within the time frame set out. They are very polite and organized it took all the anxxiety out of waiting for snow plow to come etc. We will stay with them. We are extremely pleased .

This was my first year hiring a snow removal service and I had heard horror stories about some removal services rarely showing up or even going out of business so I wasnt sure what to expect. Barrhaven Landscaping exceeded my expectations. They would follow the city snow plows and send me alerts in advance of the city plow arrival so I could move my car to the street if I wanted. the would also do the same if there was additional snowfall after the plow had passed and a second pass was required to clear the lane way. I was really impressed with their service and plan to renew with them for the upcoming season.

This was my second year using Barrhaven Landscaping & Snow Removal. The first year was great service, very responsive especially when my driveway was missed a few times. However this last year, they hired some new drivers on the route. After the second major snowfall, they cleaned my driveway and damaged my downspout and downspout extension (pulling it away from the building and removing the extension which was found in a snowbank 6 feet from my home). When I contacted them as soon as it happened, they admitted to having new drivers and told me that it would be repaired/replaced once the season was over. It has now been over 6 weeks of contacting the company with back and forth. Granted, they did reaffix the downspout to the building - however they never notified me when they were coming onto my property and never notified me that the job was completed. I am now being told that the downspout extension damage was my fault despite it being there for 3 years with no issues. I have notified all my Barrhaven friends and family about this company and posted on all my Facebook groups. To have a company come out and make you feel that it was your fault that one of their NEW drivers damaged your property - certainly not good customer service!

First early morning snow storm and no show. All my neighbors driveways who are mostly with Pierce Hill Farms got cleaned right away. Got an email at 8am that theyll show up when the city plows start theirs, and that the snow wasnt much, mostly washed away by rain. Well I still had heavy wet snow to clean, moved my car out of the garage and parked to side to take my snowblower out. Went inside home, literally was in home for 5mins looking for my gloves, came out and there was a ticket on my windshield for $105 because of winter parking ban on the street. This day couldnt get any worse. Anyway cleaned my driveway, get an email at 3pm that they are coming to clean, well all they did was clean that bit of snow left by the city plow with one pass as the driveway had absolutely no snow after i cleaned. Great job, they saved money from doing the earlier runs. First and last time I use them.

And it did exactly that, we are glad to report that Barrhavens has the most prompt and efficient after sales service in the area and is here to stay long term at prices that are current with the trends and most affordable. In August of 2022 we engaged this company to install interlock and artificial turf along with lighting as designed by Barrhaven Landscaping and Snow Removal at a total cost of ~$64,480/- 1. Part of this arrangement was to install a step at the side of the porch. The owner said that because it was end of season and there was no material available, he would install the step(s) in the spring of the following year. In May 2023, I reminded the owner of his promise. His response was it is not in the contract, I will not be installing the step. And that was the end of the discussion. 2. The contract calls for holes to be dug and rings put in place for planting some trees. They laid the artificial turf and by mistake covered up the holes and the rings When we asked them about this, his Father became angry and ASSAULTED me in front of my family. The neighbors and his workers rushed to stop his Father. from continuing to assault me. I am a senior citizen of over 75 years of age and unable to protect myself. I asked them to stop the work and leave the premises. The neighbor from across the street convinced the son Manpreet to finish the work and asked his Father to leave the job site. When a father and son gang up on literally assaulting a customer is a dangerous company to deal with. He points to this piece of cloth on hi head and says do you know what this means? This piece of cloth on my head means I do not lie or cheat. So he is the right hand of God on this earth. The son and father do not lie or cheat - all of us lie and cheat. The lighting that was installed keeps breaking down. When I informed the son (Owner) of this he replied that he will have to discuss with the company where he obtained te lights for replacement. If they agree he will come by and replace the lights. I reminded the son (Owner) that I signed a contract with Barrhaven Landscaping and Snow Removal with guarantee for three years for all work and material. Three weeks later informed us that the company decided to replace the defective light. It was discovered that it was not the light but instead the Wiring for the lights that was not installed correctly. Today, yet another light has gone off. Still no response. Bottom line: no matter how small a detail make sure you put it in writing and have him sign it. If you disagree they will literally ASSAULT you. I know I am speaking from experience.

I m waiting for over 4 hours to have my driveway cleaned and I m getting assurances of service - guests are to arrive in under 30 mins now and there is no response. Every house in my street has been serviced by the other guy who puts in White posts. Ours are yellow !

Though my Mother is paying for this service, I am not happy. I have had to go to her house and assist her with clearing her driveway as the operators are not showing up/not doing an adequate job. Not to mention she paid for the first half of the year and no one showed up the one time it snowed and then they wanted more money for the second half... they can hardly respond to client inquiries.

I call this company to comply about two issues with their snow plow service. When I was half way of explaining the first issue the person on the phone stopped me there and start relating to the contract (which I never received or signed). At that point that person didnt even asked who I was or where i live. Because of their insolence I raised my voice and explained my two issues before they shut up again and added that I will calm down if they do or that I will terminate the contract. They hang up on me after asking me to cancel. Obviously I asked for the contract cancellation and I didnt even receive half of the amount paid for the season. This was in January just after the 3rd snow that we had so far. BTW - they never gave their name over the phone or on their email replies

I have used this company for two years for snow removal. The best thing is that they keep you informed about when they plan on coming to clear your driveway and the ploughs have GPS so you know exactly when someone s going to show up which gives you time to move your car. One time I missed moving my car and the guy even came back and did a sweep of my driveway. Excellent service!

Unbelievably fantastic winter snow removal experience, I can t say enough about how excellent their service was.

We have used Barrhaven Landscaping & Snow Removal for the last 5 years and I cannot say enough good things about them. They have always been reliable and will come back several times a day if necessary. They make good use of modern communication methods and you will be notified about 30 mins before they arrive so you can remove cars or garbage containers from your driveway.

We feel so grateful that we discovered Team Barrhaven when we were left in the lurch by Metro. Over the past three winters we have been more than satisfied with the great service they provide. This was the first winter I used this company and received a good and timely service. Didnt have a reason to call them so cant say anything about the customer service in case of any issues. I see no damage to our interlock drive. Like other reviews mentioned, there was always a bit of snow left near the garage door but this didnt bother me. The snow pile left by the city ploughs was always cleaned promptly.

Used its snow remove service, very unprofessional. I was initially signed up using a referral link, it was said can get 20$ discount. But the invoice did not give the 20$. Sign up form only need simple information, after signed up, I asked about the contract, sent several emails, they said filled the sign up form is equally to sign the contract and I just need to paid the money. Since it is a community wide referral link, I though lots of people involved, so paid the money online. The first snow remove is fine. But then the second snow remove, the driver knock down my basketball stands. No one contact me for it and I have to send emails and phone to find the people who response for it. I was told in their contract, they said the basketball stand should have certain height. They never give me the contract and never ring the door bell when they insert their stick to inform me about the basketball policy(I know other snow removal company do their field visit), now, after broke my basketball stands, they starting to use it contract. It is such a joke. I argued with them several times, they always use the contract thing to response. The problem is I never see their contract, they never gave me their contract. Such a unprofessional, inresponsegive, unfaithful, better stay away. And after they broke my basket stand, no courtesy run, no snow bank clean. They skip my house, I have to reminder them again and again to let them finish the rest of my contract. Finally spring is come, they came again, now they do the measurement, and tell me, according to the contract, the basketball net is too low, but it is tooooo late. They did not do they dual diligent, they did not show me the contract when I asked for it, they did not tell me I need to adjust the height when they insert their sticker. All they want is collect money and avoid responsibility. Bad company. Stay away. In response to their replies.. I checked my previous email. Their auto email is title snow removal service request, there is no indication of have to read their contract and terms to proceed. Their invoice were received in another auto email within 48h. I have asked about do I need to sign the contract after I paid the first half on Oct 4, 2021, they did not bother to answer me. reply to second point, your driver took photos and said some will contact me within 2-3 days. My son was outside at that time and I have outside camera. The driver also said this is under insurance, I dont need to worry. You are lied by saying your tractor was damaged. Your tractor was not damaged at all because I saw how your tractor dragged my basket ball stand off the vertical. Your driver was able to save the stand if he can lift the stand a little bit but he did not. I waited for about one week no one contact me, I have to use email and phone call to find the owner. Then I received an acknowledge email. A professional snow removal company will do field visit when they put their sticks and communicate with client about any potential obstacles. Your company did not do your dual diligence and inform me about my basketball stand is not high enough. If you can remember, I am a returned a customer, why my basket stand can survive last year, but not this year, It is because I have informed your company last year, you only need to do 1.5 driveway even I paid for 2 driveway to avoid the basketball stand. I dont understand why this happened this year. Who dare to use your service again is the service quality is not guaranteed. The third point is about credibility, you should be able to check how much I paid and judge by yourself if the account has been applied or not. You are not expecting me give you five stars because the way your company processing this case. The new stand now sold at canadian ftire or 499$, your offer is to give me 20$ off for next season. I dont know whats in your mind. Anyway, I will not response to this post any more.

2nd year with the Barrhaven Snow. Like previously mentioned, no complaints at all. Further to this, I would like to add something for their landscaping services: the corner of the step was knocked off by the blower in the past winter and we didnt notice it until the snow was fully melted. I emailed the company but truely wasnt have much hope for them to fix it as it has been a while. They responsed my email immediately and fixed my step within a week. The stone was perfectally chosen to match the color of the other stones of the stairs and they even leveled the stones to make sure no tripping happens in the future. It was taken care of by their lanscaping group and I am very pleased with the results. It is so nice to see that this company takes responsiblities and cares about their reputation. Will keep doing business with them for future work for sure. We used the snow removal service for last winter. Very happy with their service. They always send the alerts by email and text message to let you know when they will be in your neighborhood and they always come back after the city s trucks to remove the snow bank. No complaints at all. We will keep their service for next winter for sure.

Does not come in a timely fashion to clear my laneway. Especially when the plows go by and leaves a big windrow so I cant get out. Ive shoveled my laneway more times then theyve come out. Not pleased.

Hired for 2020/2021 snow removal season. The first time they came by they did accidentally launch the snow/slush against our front door. They have not done this since. We receive an email to warn us before they come which is appreciated. Very happy with the service so far.

After the small storm a few days ago, I received a text letting me know that the tractor was coming. When my wife and went outside to move our cars, the tractor was already there. Great communication. Responsive to comments. At the beginning of the season one of my stakes blew away which resulted in them missing my lane on some of their passes. They quickly sent a tractor to address the missed passes and added a new stake. Communication has been timely and responsive.

This weekend we had a major snowfall (25cms) and I was thrilled that they had cleared in the early hours of the morning so I could leave on a Sunday at 8:00am. Extremely poor service - non responsible. Not really satisfied of their service because: 1. City snow pile is the most important part that I hired this company and was expecting they can help. However, they come TOO late to clean up the city plow ridge, or even sometimes they clean it only once, such that I HAVE TO clean it sometimes on my own (with my back-ache)!! This has happened at least two times this winter!!!! 2. No commitment to the schedule they announce by email: there was 15-20cm snow on my drive way since last night and they were supposed to clean it up at 5:30 in the morning as per their email. Surprisingly, I came across a drive way full of snow at 8:30am and had to shovel it myself to get my car out of the garage to go to work!!!

The best Snow Removal Company Ever. Great service.

It was my first year using them. While their communications were fairly good (except for weak English), I always found it took a long time after a major storm to get around to my driveway, as if I was at the very end of their run or they didn t have enough tractors to service their client base. It could take up to 6 hours or more, long after a storm. By then I had to blow my own driveway to get to work, on a number of occasions. Now, in June (!), 6 months ahead of time, they are asking for deposits to hold our winter spots even though we are existing customers! That sounds pretty sketchy to me. I am not going to do that. It sounds like the company is currently suffering cash flow problems. And so many of these companies going belly up, taking customer pre-paid deposits with them. Also, their prices have gone up over last year. They didn t have to clear our driveways that many times last year. I will search all options this fall.

We started using Barrhaven Landscaping & Snow Removal last winter to remove our snow. They were very professional and timely and did such a great job that when we heard they had started offering mowing services along with lawn care we jumped at the chance. We could not be happier with their service. They provided a timely weekly mowing session along with trimming and cleanup. The crew also provided seasonal fertilizer as well as aeration and dethatching along with weed and grub control. We were very satisfied and our lawns looked wonderful. We will certainly be using them again next summer. Our backyard had been an eyesore for years. We had a very old rotting deck along with a shed that had seen other days. We were so happy with their other services that we called owner Manpreet and his crew to give us ideas for transforming our backyard. They removed the deck and shed and went to work on transforming our yard into an oasis for us that we truly love. Manpreet and his crew were very professional, prompt and friendly. They guided us through the process and answered our many questions. We now have a back yard that we will enjoy for many years to come. Thought I will wait till few months have passed by before giving a review. This year has been good for snow removal companies as it hardly snowed. 1)They wait too long to dispatch their tractors and even then takes few hours before I get my driveway cleaned. Atleast this year, most of us are working from home so its not bad but if you have to goto work then you are stuck till they come. 2) Risk of damage to driveway or lawns is high despite bringing it to their notice 3) Rely too much on Environment Canada forecast. If it.snows more than its forecasted then theyre not responsible. 4) Not very reliable to clear after city plows come by. Avoid all these big companies, they charge a lot, add too much fine print and deliver little.

I missed the deadline for the snow removal service we had used for the previous 3 years. I called around and it seemed everyone was all booked. I called this company, they said they were booked but if I didnt have success with anyone else they would help. They send regular emails with updates, let us know when they are coming, were more than happy to come do an extra clearing after the sidewalk cleaners left a surprise snowbank and always remember to tell us to stay safe on the roads when a snowstorm is coming. Very happy with the service 3 months in.

Barrhaven snow removal sends emails to let us know that they will be planning to come by based on weather prediction. They also come multiple times if needed and then make a final run after the city plows have done their run to clear the end of our driveway. I love their communication and efficiency in clearing our driveway. Always a job well done. Thank you team Barrhaven!

Just moved to Barrhaven in time for this disaster of a winter. I was fortunate enough to book Barrhaven Landscaping & Snow Removal. Manpreet and his team did and excellent job. Plus we were always kept up-to- date on their plans. Definitely recommend them.

It is the second winter I use their snow removal service. 30 friends joined my group to choose their snowing blowing service last year, and we are satisfied with their work. They planned well and sent Emails to the clients in advance, came in time for every snowfall, usually early morning. Last year the big snowfalls never blocked me driving out of home in the morning. Today again they came in early morning for the first snowfall this winter, and they were the first service in my street in Barrhaven. I noticed other service come after some hours.

Just signed up with this company and with regards to the first snowfall of the season, they communicate with you, tell you when they are coming to ensure your driveway is clear and had the job done by the time I got up this morning. Hope this continues.

Extremely poor customer service and training of snow removal staff. Understanding that it was the first major snow fall of the season, a tractor did not arrive within the indicated maximum time of 6 hours after dispatching their tractors at 4am, even with two email notifications that a tractor would be on its way. After starting to remove the snow ourselves, the tractor came by and we saw it remove the snow. After the tractor left, we noticed the driver had damaged our and our neighbours (who did not contract this company) driveways, leaving multiple noticable parallel scratch marks approximately 2m long and a long gash that is almost 1 cm deep into our asphalt. Our driveway will now require resurfacing. After sending photos of the damage, they indicated that they would look into it and after a time frame of being unresponsive, have decided that the damage is minor and will not do anything. As a result, we have now cancelled our contract and had to remind them to refund us our money, due to unreliable service and to prevent further damage to our property.

This is my first year with Barrhaven Landscaping and Snow Removal and I must say I am so pleased with their service thus far. They are punctual and efficient and my laneway gets cleared before many others with the competitors on the street. Keep up the good work! Highly recommend!

Hey you all, I called this company today for a one time snow removal job. To my surprise someone answered the phone! (A big plus in my books) I was told that the plough had left the area already but will come by later. Someone was at my place within 10minutes! I did not have time to clean off and move the car from the laneway before he arrived. The plough person told me hed be back in 2hours. Sure enough 2hrs later, he returned and completed the job! This was my first experience using a snow removal service and I must say, they were awesome! From the person who answered the phone, the person who returned my call, the driver of the plough and the person who responded to my email, they all responded in a timely manner. Based on this experience, I will recommend this company any day. Thank you all for your excellent service today!

Excellent service. I signed up with Team Barrhaven only last Friday, a day before the storm hit on Saturday (and after being frustrated with my current snow removal company). Not only Barrhaven Team put the stakes on and enrolled me quickly, but they showed up as they promised in their email early in the morning, then they were scheduled to show up after the plow passes, but they also let the clients notify them them if they see the plow going through the street. Which I did, and the tractor was in my driveway within 10 mins, and the driver did a really good job and helped someone stuck on the street to get out as well. Very happy with Barrhaven Snow Removal.

Truly amazing work. We had them complete the walkway between our house and our neighbour. The work was done extremely well and with amazing care and precision. The team was outstanding and always ensuring we were happy with the progress. We have already booked them for next Spring to come and finish our fornt. The best decision I made this winter was to hire Barrhaven Landscaping & snow removal. They are extremely professional and have been prompt in responding to emails and clearing the driveway after a snowfall. In fact, they will come multiple times with larger snow falls and to clean the end of the driveway after the snow plow has been by. We originally signed with another company and they did not clear our snow for the first 3 snow events. Thankfully, this company had space to take us.
