The TruGreen Lawn Care technician, Samer Moussa, has come by twice this year to apply weed control and fertiliser. He is one of the reasons I signed up with TruGreen: he is friendly, courteous, and professional in his demeanour. He is a consummate professional, as are all their technicians that I have worked with so far. For anyone who wishes to remove the stress (and work!) of caring for a lawn, I would recommend TruGreen without reservation.

I love that the service is automatic, often when Im not even home. Im relieved of all responsibility for my lawn. And mine looks better than most on my street. Also Im ecstatic about the mosquito control. Walking the dog I cant wait to get home to stop flailing and sit quietly in the back yard, untormented by mosquitoes. Im sure my neighbours benefit as well.

Samer from TRUGREEN has been taking care of our lawn for several years now, and it has never looked better. He always gives us an assessment before applying the product, to discuss any concerns he has noted during his inspection, and he lets us know if we need to keep our pets inside or water the lawn afterward. I like the fact that Samer keeps coming back year-after-year to do our treatments, because I feel that he is familiar with our property and he is very good about closing gates and working around the plants and trees we have. We started using TruGreen Ottawa this spring. I must say after trying for years to get my grass growing in our backyard, Im seeing great results so far! Our backyard hasnt looked better. They even accommodated my wish for leaving the majority of dandelions. The notification process is a bit less satisfactory. They showed up one time for treatment without notice, luckily I was home and two days ago they called but didnt leave a message. So 1* less than perfect.

We were getting mosquitoes and weren t due for a respray but really didnt want them for our daughter s 3rd birthday party. TruGreen squeezed us in before the weekend and we were mosquito free! We are so happy with the result and the exceptional customer service!

Our True Green service tech for 2020, Troy, has provided steady, sensible advice all summer long. He takes the time to discuss Lawn issues. Not his fault, but True Greens inability to address Crab grass, Quack grass (Canadian Regulations I understand) is frustrating. It requires a lot of manual labour to keep up with this. Also, other weeds like knot weed, and small viney weeds still abound in the lawn requiring an unexpected amount of customer time. Finally, we had cinch bugs this year and Troy initiated a service with his manager, Richard, that proved to be fast (same day) and effective - this was very much appreciated. We are getting these parts of our lawn back.

My neighbour had their lawn treated and I was shocked to see product well into my lawn (2 meters in). I have a dog, animals, and I plant vegetables. I did not ask for this and I do not want this. When I asked why it was all over my lawn I was told that though a guard was used, it does not really work. This is unacceptable. Had I not seen it, my dog would have been out on it. There are squirrels, birds, chipmunks, and rabbits that are being contaminated. TruGreen why do you think it is acceptable to contaminate my lawn? You need to fix this issue - and please do not greenwash stating it is safe. I do not want it on my lawn.

We were struggling to find a good lawn care specialist for a number of years. That was until last year (2023) when we gave TRUGREEN a try. Are we ever happy we did. Couldn t be happier with the turn-around in our lawn, thick, lush grass. Just had our first treatment of 2024 by TRUGREEN and once again our amazing Technician Tylor from the previous year did the service. Great company and a fantastic technician, Tylor is always polite and extremely knowledgeable on all facets of lawn care! Just a pleasure doing business with TRUGREEN!

Quality work, and quality customer service care

I had tried many companies for lawncare before I hired Trugreen. My lawn over 2 summers did not have weeds. Now I only stick with them.

Had more mosquitoes after treatment then before.

We just cancelled the mosquito service due to many red flags including not being able to provide us with scheduling for the mosquito treatment and not being provided a receipt of payment despite calling and asking multiple times. Service was said to start in May it s now near the end of May.

After requesting a quote for weed and feed it took them 3 days to get back to me. By that time I had hired a company already. They continue to call daily leaving no voicemail, despite me telling them repeatedly to stop calling. Harassment is no way to gain clients.

We have been using Tru-Green for a few years now to help deal with the mosquitos around our house and they are great. The show up several times a year to spray, and if the bugs get bad a quick phone call and they are back within a few days to treat the yard again. They also take the time to understand how we use our lawn, and provide tips on what we can do to have a better mosquito free outdoor life. I highly recommend them.

I really appreciate trugreen paid attention to my previous feedback. As soon as they received the feedback that we are not happy with the treatment, they improved it considerably, and we saw the difference right away. Happy with the results.

Weve been using their mosquito services for 2 summers now and we definitely see a difference after they come and spray. Just wish they would come scheduled more often then once a month to spray- that said you can call and request additional service sprays at no extra cost and no minimum amount if needed!

Had a lot of weeds but now all the weeds are gone

Have been unsuccessful to have one of the TRUGREEN technician to contact me to discuss his failed treatment for one of our trees. The problem reported during summer 2021 has yet to be property addressed.

I contracted true green to take care off my lawn and my lawn is in worse conditions than before whenever they show up sometimes the last for maybe the most 2 to 5 minutes to spray my front and backyard sometimes the say it s too hot they have to reschedule and the never did very poor service I received from TRUE GREEN LAWN CARE i will never recommend TRUE GREEN LAWN to anyone after several months someone final show up and he advised me to call the office because he said that my lawn it not treading well so please stay away from TRUE GREEN LAWN they promise you all good things but when they show up it s not the same I pay for 100% and I receive maybe 40% of service.

I have able to enjoy my yard with my home child care children without mosquitoes. We easily spend more than 4+ hours in the back yard.

Vertical thorough

SCAM ALERT. They just trespassed on my property a year after using their service and without notice. They did a continuing application and charged me $90 for it. When I said we werent notified about this, they said oh, this is a year after year service, its in the contract you signed. Well, let them try to get paid, I will either take them to court or to the radio/newspaper and see what kind of PR they get. Or maybe I will get a huge lawn sign (I reside on a very business intersection), and tell everyone passing by what kind of scammy business they are running. If Trugreen wants to say oh this guy isnt a customer, its because this is under my wifes name. So good luck TruSCAM.

I called to cancel my service last year because I rented my place, but I still received services this year. Thats a scam.

Last summer we had TruGreen spray for mosquitos. Despite repeated requests, they would not give us 24hr notice when they were coming (which often conflicted with the use of our yard and pool). I would be appeased by someone in the office with the promise of a phone call/email, which never came. At the end of the season I gave a stern phone conversation to express my displeasure with the lack of warning to their arrivals. For some conveluded reason, they just had the audacity to show up on my lawn (today) and spray again! There is no contract of any kind in place. There was no email warning that they were coming (so I could stop them before they arrived). Their customer service was someone reading off a script. She gave me a cancellation number now but was unable to explain why they were on my property in the first place today. All in all, there are other companies in the area that are much better at communicating and keeping their contracts transparent. Avoid TruGreen if you dont want surprise visits in the middle of pool time and surprise invoices in your mailbox the next season.

Efficient and friendly service. Good results at a decent price

I asked for a quote online and they proceeded to call me every hour. They don t leave a vm. I decided to go with a different provider and have asked multiple people to stop calling me and to remove my info which they agreed to do however I continue to get calls. I am now blocking their number. Extremely unprofessional and pushy. I would not do business with them

After reading some of the reviews, I wanted to share my experience with this company, and have to agree that they need to work on their communication and customer service, especially in relation to billing. We used TruGreen for a couple years, but stopped using them after their employees would offer us one price when they would come to the door, and then the bill would say something different. I had to waste my time on the phone correcting them, and following up to ensure I received the actual service plan that I agreed to. They had a very good manager based in Ottawa who assisted with some of these issues, but we began to lose trust in them when this repeatedly occurred. If you do decide to go with them, keep an organized file and get everything clearly confirmed in writing, as this may be required in case there are inconsistencies. When I recently moved, I also requested to be removed from their mailing list, and a rep told me over the phone that this wasnt possible. I called again and got another employee who told me no problem and removed me from the mailing list. It would have been nice to not have to call multiple times and waste time and energy.

Our experience with TruGreen last year was not a positive one. Believing in giving a second chance, we hired them this year hoping their services would be better. NOT A CHANCE! They came for our first application a couple of weeks ago and did not even call ahead. Then, if I did not know any better, I think they sprayed something else than what they were supposed to spray because the volume of mosquito increased. After many attempts to get a complimentary spraying, the technician showed up at our house this morning at 7:15 am without any notices and with 80% chance of rain... Think twice before hiring them!

Cancelled them last year as we didn t find it made any difference. They have now been to our home twice this year trying to complete a service we have cancelled. Don t use them unless you want to be harassed

I stopped the guy from doing the most recent treatment and i got a bill.So not only do they want to change me a service that I canceled a bunch, but that I didnt ask for, but they want to charge me a service I didnt get! This is the worst company Ive ever encountered. My God!

Our lawn is in good shape thanks to TruGreen. It didnt happen overnight. They are more attentive than other companies we have used.

I hired TruGreen for lawn maintenance last summer. They did all the treatments scheduled, however, they did more harm than good. The grass was burned in a few places. So I decided not to hire them again this year. Since then, Ive received constant phone calls and postcards through snail mail because they Want me back. Its very annoying. I will never do business with TruGreen again.

This year I tried one more time to use Trugreen But this time with the Mosquito Control Service and one more time I was scammed. First service I had to call 3 times, then mosquitos were still taking control of our backyard. I called and nothing happened until the second service which was very good. Then the third service the technician spent 5 minutes inside the car in front of my house and 3 minutes barely applying the product only on the plant in front of the porch of my house. I already sent two emails and called 3 times. Emails were ignored and the calls the default answer is: a technician will call you . Here I am with mosquitos killing us in the backyard and a long and disappointing silence from TruGreen. I will never use this company again.

Knowledgeable technicians

We have been doing business with the company for a couple of years now. Service has always been great, but this year... so and so. Yesterday, the treatment guy drove by our house a couple of times, he was having a hard time finding it. Then left without completing a treatment. Today, we receive a email confirming that a treatment was in fact done yesterday. We went outside, not treatment, no notice on the doorknob, or a small sign on the grass. NOTHING was done. So pay attention in order to make sure that services you pay for are actually done. We did call and they actually apologize and confirmed that it was a mistake on their side,and will come back and actually do the treatment.

We have been with them for 4 years for mosquito control. Last year started out a little bumpy due to applications not working at all, but they made things right by coming out to re spray. This season (2022) is nearly over now I was billed all summer long, with nothing to show for it really, people came and sprayed, they didn t call before hand as they should have and as is been on file for 4 years now. When I called for service due to spray not working (which should be part of the monthly fee), they say they will come, and don t show up for the service request and instead only show up 3 weeks later for the re application request which is billable. This year we had to put our credit card on file, the justification was since people were not paying they need 1 on file. Therefore I cannot do anything, multiple phone calls and request to speak to managers because they don t show up for service requests but then show up and bundle service and application requests together and charge me, then have the nerve to say we ll just call us if it doesn t work. Well, I ve been calling for re applications of which no one shows up until week 4, at which time I m charged. They offer nothing in way of explanation, collect money which they are not owed, and I get some call center in either with someone that can t speak English or a lady that makes up dates on the fly yes we came out when they didn t. We do applications every 18-21 days nope at least not this year. We call before no they have failed at that repeatedly, instead just show up whenever they feel like it and say your dog is out so we re not gonna spray, and make up something about calling ahead that is simply untrue. When calling in and getting spoken down to and belittled by some entitled Karen that doesn t know her days of the week, yet is adamant that they called (nope), they will come out this time even tho they rarely show up when they say they will, and service applications aren t billed but forgets to include unless it s within the monthly application date. Going to be filing a complaint with the BBB.

They do absolutely terrible work. They actually made my lawn worse last year. I cancelled my services and they still came back this year, I called multiple times to tell them to never step foot on my property again, AND THEY KEPT SHOWING UP. Now they want me to pay for services I ve told them time and time again that I don t want. I ll be calling my MP to complain about this company and hopefully together we can erase this predatory company from our country and save people from being harassed by them.

It is very hard to trust a company who just assumes repeat business from year to year. They called a few days ago indicating that they would be sending someone to do lawncare in a few days. Then they make it almost impossible to reach them by phone to cancel.

Very disappointed, total waste of money. It was only after I showed the branch manager before and after pictures did they do anything... If you want it done right .. do it yourself...because all they want is your money.

Ive been a customer since 2017 and last year I requested a service to call before they start the yearly session and never got a phone call from them just email the day before that they where coming for the first application which I wanted discuss my services for the year . They said they will not do consultation, they just send emails so if you dont answer the email they just show up . That very shady that they are trespassing on my property . Never going back to them!!!!

*Updated - after the initial fiasco, we finally received service. Im guessing someone got fired, because everything was smooth sailing for the rest of the season. We ended up sticking it out, and though it didnt completely eliminate the mosquitoes, it was a ton more bearable than without. We signed up for mosquito treatments. They are/were supposed to do 5 treatments, with guaranteed retreat if we find mosquitoes biting between treatments. A technician showed up on time for the first treatment, but spent a grand total of ONE minute on our 1.5 acre property.. I suspect that 1 minute was spent placing the sign and delivering the invoice to our door. He didnt even attempt to appear to have done anything. We were home and saw he didnt step foot into our back yard. 3 calls to customer service, 1 a week after the treatment, were each met with well send a technician out right away to properly do the treatment. Since Im here writing this, I bet you can guess how that turned out. Were calling today to cancel the contract. Im very glad we didnt prepay, as I can see from other reviews, that wouldve been a huge mistake. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

We contacted Trugreen after being let down by another lawn service. Our lawn was full of weeds and a couple of bare patches so I went for the top package. I had the opposite reaction to the other reviewers in that I had to ask them to upgrade the service. So far we are very happy - the lawn is mostly weed free and the bare patches are starting to get grass. EDIT after 1 year - Unfortunately, I ended up with a lot of dead grass by the end of the season. I would not have bothered with editing this review if they did not keep calling! 5 phone calls so far this year after cancelling, telling them I had another service and to stop calling!

Mosquito control spray is a waste this year. Got sprayed along with a few neighbors and we all now have a mosquito infestation. All the houses that didnt get sprayed are fine this year, but for us that got sprayed we cant even use our outdoor space now. Waiting for manager to call me back, its been a few days, id like to give them the benefit but its not looking good, False advertising, false promises, empty words when you call. Filling a complaint with BBB shortly.

Pathetic service. I requested to get call before service but received no call. Lots of things written on note but majority things were not done. They first applied fertilizer which has increased weed now. No weed control done but still got charged. No seeding done but still got charged. No refund for the services which were not done. Stay away from it if you do not want make situation of your lawn worst.

They said they will call before coming. Zero call. Zero knock. After 2 complaints. They now call before coming. I really wish they assess lawns before first day. Decide which approach. Our lawn was full of weed and they were planning to use weed killer in the fall rather than on the first day. Strange. Im glad they resolved by doing weed killer twice after our calls. I will continue to update this review if they do something right or wrong with us. I changed from 1 star to 4 star because they tried to resolve our complaints. Thanks.

Used TruGreen for mosquito control for the last 2 years. Dont waste your money. The product they use does not work on the mosquitoes in my backyard. Ive even had them re spray many times and still with no difference in results. Weve explained to the technicians where to spray but they never listen. Waste of money!!!

Service seem all over the place. some services good, some completely forgotten . Often have to call and check on services because they havent been done as promised. It may just be the Ottawa branch but I am not happy with the service overall. Also, after you sign up they automatically book you for the next season unless you call to cancel. They promise to check the health of your lawn. They never advise you of issues with bugs or grubs destroying your lawn and do not treat for such things. Two years will be enough with this company.

I hired Trugreen to fertilize and protect my trees and shrubs. Price is very good and my trees and shrubs have been growing fast and healthy since I contracted them. When I am present during their visit, the staff takes time to provide me with tips to better improve appearance of my trees. Nothing to complain about!

Pretty good, but it was the first one for the fertilizer treatment. I would have liked the company to tell me in advance of doing this so that I could have moved furniture off of my lawn. Usually they do call in advance. The service and lawn treatments from last year were amazing.

Very disappointed with the service as we paid for an acre and then have only done a quarter of our yard all summer. Been on the phone 3 times and they still arent fixing it they say there Measurements were wrong so how is that our fault we were with them years ago so out Measurements are on file. Brutal. Still hoping a Manger reaches out but so far not happy.

I paid them for the whole season then after a couple of visits of poor services, they stopped showing up. When I called their call centre, I spoke with someone with the name Shaun Kamal who was very rude, saying we are late because of COVID. But when I asked that I paid for a service and I should get the service or get my money back. He repeated the same line many times we are late because of COVID I reminded him that I heard his answer but I was asking another question, if I can get back my money, then he started a new line of an answer there is nothing I can do at this point He repeated this about 5 times until he hang up the phone. I called the call centre again, but my call went to him again. This time he said I answered your questions I asked if I could talk to someone else, but he never answered this question. I will never use TruGree again.

Very unprofessional people working there. Called me 10 times when I am at job . Communicated several times not to call at office hours. After that finalizing deal with certain price and sales person told me that someone will call you to set up how to pay and book an appointment. Next person tells me every thing other than price and package. One I asked whats the price and package ? That person told me totally different packages with higher price. Than area manager called me back today who was also rude and blaming me that you misunderstood. I said if your person calling me and saying TRUECOMPLETE package ( 6 fertilizer and weed control , 1 airation , 1 overseeding ) with X price , where is miscommunication here and next person who is calling me to book appointment and payment options is giving me different higher price. What a waste of time with these guys. Very unprofessional. I would never recommend.

Shady sales tactics. Do not recommend. Agent called me and talked at me for 10 minutes about this fantastic package being offered. They then said theyd call me back in 5 minutes and the person who called asked for my credit card for the services I had agreed to. The price was also far too expensive for my size lot. I do not trust these guys anymore.

I was a customer of TG for few years. My lawn was full of weeds and more of them were on sides of the house. We already gave up to clean them, there were too many. Rob from TG came and after a season all changed! I am very careful about the choice of subcontractors. But I asked my neighbor and he said TG is ok. Well, it is more than OK. The loan is perfect and I like Robs work. But, he is busy and they send less professional people, which is ok for Rob is really good. My neighbor, another one, asked me who did such a good work with your lawn? And now she is also a TG customer. Price is good, overall experience is good. Just I advice them call less. Actually, if I remember well, last year they indeed called less. I would suggest this company; there are no miracles, but steady work on the lawn makes the difference.

This company came by my house and did a treatment despite the fact that I did NOT renew my contract. I had problems with this company in the pass and still do. Stay AWAY from this company.

Two years in a row they renewed service without my consent after I told them that I was only signing up for one year. Also, they promise you everything is included in the package when marketing, you get constant telemarketing calls for additional services and $$.

if trugreen thinks im going to pay for services that I DID NOT consent or authorize, and send my name to a collection agency/credit bureau, not only will I charge them with trespassing I will sue them. What a shady company. I have been with them for 5 years renewed every year. Even while renewed they still tried to sell additional services which was annoying. I didnt renew this year as my finances didnt allow it so I didnt sign a contract for 2020 nor did I pay them anything. They came anyways did a service and left a bill in my mailbox. I tried calling them and hung up after being on hold for over an hour. Tried again next day same thing. They came again without my consent and left another bill. I called again, long hold times so I sent them an email that was on their recording it bounced back. Came home today may 21st to find yet another bill in my mailbox without my consent or authorization now totally almost half what I usually pay for the full season. I finally got through to them. Female rep started out polite enough then said if you think were waiving these fees were not. Then sarcastically asked me if I was out of the country while these services were being performed I told her I work every day. She claimed they left automated messages that they were coming on my home phone that they did not ask to update since 2015 like any other good company does and that I dont receive those messages. Even so, listen trugreen...you are required to have a signed contract for the current year by the customer and a paid amount for services rendered before you go on someones property and perform a service and throw a bill in their mailbox. They claim their services are recurring meaning if I dont say yes or no, they have a right to continue. WRONG. Trugreen, you need to provide something in writing along with your bill to renew that you send out every year STIPULATING that. Give the customer a chance to say yes or no. Its illegal what youre trying to do. What shady practices and how dishonest nevermind I still always had weeds and especially during a time like this youre trying to take advantage of people. My name is attached to this review so you have my address and here it is in writing...stay off my property going forward and if you dont cancel the last three bills this review will stay in place. If and when I get a follow up call from a manager stating they are cancelling the last 3 invoices they left without my authorization nevermind trespassing on my property I will consider editing this review but for now it stays and shame on you Trugreen edited: I read the privacy policy and scoured their website there isnt anything in writing that stipulates once a customer enrolls for the first time every season thereafter is automatic enrollment unless a customer cancels...this company should be served a class action lawsuit and run out of business

This company constantly tried to up-sell us on various packages during the first year we hired them. When we told them we didnt want their services the following year, they continued to call us to offer more services. We eventually spoke to a manager who assured us we wouldnt continue to hear from them. Despite this, they still send us unsolicited offers in the mail. I would recommend steering clear of TruGreen.

Dont deal with this company, theyre getting your money in advance and after that you have to chase them for service.every technician do different job. They give you more stress than service.

Do not affiliate with this company! Not only are their services ineffective, they will bombard you with upselling. I made them aware at the end of the season that I was not at all happy with their services (I still had a lawn FULL of weeds) and that I no longer wanted their services. I just recieved in the mail a bill for a house I sold in the winter and I no longer own. They are charging me services for a home I dont live in. Steer clear of Trugreen, just dont do it, you will regret it.

Poor service

If I could give -5 stars, that s what I d give. Our home is only a few years old therefore our grass/sod is only a few years old. We ve used trugreen for 3 summers, within the first 2 summers, the grass quality was getting worse (burnt grass with over fertilizer) so we intended to get a new company to fertilize/weed control for year three but they started treatment without consulting us so we went ahead and signed on for year three (big mistake)!! I called them literally every week, no exaggeration, to complain that our grass was getting worse. I begged for them to send an experienced technician because our grass was getting worse daily. Weeds were out of control and our grass was dying. They kept saying that they treated the grass, it just needs water. We watered and watered, we watered daily. We spent a fortune watering and the grass just kept getting worse. Finally, after asking for a supervisor or manager to come see our lawn, Richard came and told us that we had chinch bugs. I told him that I d been complaining weekly for help and no one noticed the chinch bugs. He assured me that he would take care of it. The weeds have overtaken our dead grass. I asked Richard to terminate our contract and told him that I didn t want to be contacted by trugreen ever again because they harass us all autumn/winter/spring with relentless phone calls. I have never written a negative review of a business until now. I suggest anyone considering trugreen to STAY AWAY

Technician very knowledgeable about everything concerning your lawn and very easy to discuss

I called TruGreen in May 2020 to get a quote for lawn services. After looking at their pricing and their reviews, I decided not to go with them. They did call back and I told them I would not be using their services. Since that time they have been calling my cell phone so many times I had to block them. They are still calling and never leaving messages. This unprofessional company should be avoided. I sent them an email asking them to stop with all the harassing phone calls. If they do not comply, I will post again.

Disappointing overall. We continued their service from the previous owners of the house, and we couldnt be more disappointed. All they do essentially is spray for Dandelions. We had also paid for FALL Aeration and over-seeding which was performed mid-August. Seeding never took in half the lawn because of a second evasive type of quack grass which prevented growth. Now it is fall, the quack grass is dead, and half the lawn is dead along with it. Even one of their techs said he didnt know why they bothered to seed as it wouldnt take due to the other evasive grass type. (He was the one who actually explained the nature of the quack grass.) The first technician didnt explain it at all. Dealing with management was a pain and elusive. I only write this review now because I see that after 1 month from our complaint a truck showed up, the guy spent 20 minutes texting on his phone and then left. What ever happened to providing good service for the product/service you requested and paid for? Save your money... they arent worth it.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Customer service is the worst Ive ever seen. 15 attempts to reach management and on a women by the name of Nandy would call me. She was very rude,condescending, patronizing, and unprofessional. As I was expressing the fact that I would like to be transfered to management or have a phone number for management she proceeded to tell me that this was the only number I could call. She was making things up and shouting that oh yes Im crazy, whatelse it was so bizarre. I told her I never said that her response was I know, Im calling myself that . So strange. Mike larock is the name of the manager she claims called me so hopefully he sees this and actually calls me now,seeing as according to Nandy there is no other way to contact management. Just awful. the reason I want the call is cause for 6 month I have been requesting it seeing as the product was horrible as well.

I used their services for one year, and now they wont stop calling me. Theyve been calling a few times per month for the last few months. I have been told I will be placed on a do not call list, but thats never happened. I am writing this review because Justin just called me, and when I asked if they were calling again to ask for my business, he hung up on me instead of apologizing. None of this is how you generate repeat business.

Stay away from these guys. I decided to try them in 2018 as a less expensive alternative to my previous supplier. What a mistake. Their weed control did nothing & my reasonably nice lawn looked terrible by the end of the summer. Ive since gone back to my other supplier and Tru-green will not stop calling me.

We hired these guys to do airation and they came several times to do weed control instead. We asked them to stop. They continued. We told them they were trespassing and they continued. We explained several times we did not want them spraying chemicals on our yard, they continued. I tried to plant and organic garden in my backyard and they sprayed it with roundup. We hope they never come back. A police report has been filed. Please stop. We have video survalence of our house and if you trespassing. We don t know how to make it stop.

No longer happy. While the technitians seem alright the admin needs work. Very long response time if any. Service given (while I still had ice and no raking done due to extra long winter) even though steps to cancel were taken. Local office admin called to rectify and I was told this was their fault and that I certainly would not be charged for that. He has been difficult to reach since. I am left to feel my business is not important. Now I receive an invoice stating that my account is past due, service is suspended until I pay and will go to collections! Be wary people. I used their services for 1 year, overall the service was okay. I didnt use them the following 2 years but they called me often which I didnt mind. However Trugreen started performing services on my property without my consent. Now they are saying that I owe them for 3 months of services that I was not aware of. Apparently they had been coming over to my home when I wasnt home and performing these services without my consent. Is this how Trugreen does business? Now they are threatening to send my case to collections if I dont pay for the services I never consented to in the first place. I would never recommend Trugreen to anyone after this experience, and I would recommend to anyone reading this to also not use them either.

Stay away From them, THE WORST company. Never use them, they were so quick to register you but once you do, they don t take care of you. their costumer service is very bad, Their weed control did nothing, seeding didn t work at all, it looked really bad. What a mistake!

Fair prices and good service

TruGreen do a decent job looking after lawns. At times they appear to be in a rush

Trying TrueGreen out for the first time, and we are happy with the products but very disappointed in the work done - or rather not done - by TrueGreen technicians. Always done in a rushed manner, and technicians are not communicative about what they are doing. Particularly, if we are not home, we have to call them back every single time for shoddy work. We have security cameras monitoring our gardens, so we know exactly what is done and not done. Today the technician arrived at 9:51, started the nematode spraying at 9:52, was finished by 9:54, and left. Our cameras showed us that he missed half of our front lawn, especially the front bit that really needs it, and most of our back lawn. We are being billed $136 for 3 minutes of spraying that missed most of our lawns. We have complained, again, and we will get another treatment, but we shouldnt have to be doing this - the technicians should do the jobs properly the first time. If this continues for the remainder of this season, we will not be renewing our contract. Also, it is annoying not to be able to speak to the local manager but to be speaking to someone at central office who sounds like she really doesnt care.

Cancelled my service with them. Service is a lot less and inconsistent than last year. They miss spraying half of the weeds. They last sprayed on July 25th in Ottawa when we had very heavy rain. They applied fertizer 9 day before this and now I got 2 bills from them. It would make more sense to do both services in the same visit .

Useless. We get more weed after their treatment. The drought this summer did not help either of course. They are always pushing for additional services.

We called Trugreen in the Spring for treatment of clover and crabgrass. We paid for their most expensive package which included fertilizer, overseeing, and weed spray. After 1 month we noticed that our crabgrass was worse than ever before. Upon our next treatment we received a note in our mail box telling us that crabgrass could not be controlled. When we voiced our concern to a rep at Trugreen they told us that they cannot treat crabgrass. If that is the case, Trugreen sold me a $500 package for nothing. With the treatments, summer heat and draught, my backyard is now 90% crabgrass. My neighbors have little to none. Overall, my experience with Trugreens customer service is very good. Their techs work far too quickly and pay no special attention to problematic areas. But, because they took my money based on false promises, they get 1 star. I will not be using them again.

Up until today, I was quite satisfied with the service I had received. Today the lawn technician showed up to aerate my lawn and my husband wasnt home. There were a couple of pieces of very light and easily moved lawn chairs in my drive way that were blocking him from going to aerate my back yard so he knocked on my door. He said how to do I get to the backyard. I told him down the driveway and to the side of the house. He then told me how big his machine was and pointed to the lawn chairs. I was in my pjs so I said you just have to push them out of the way. He asked me if I knew he was coming today. I said my husband gets the calls so I assume he knew. He then said, it is not his job to move the lawn chairs. (He literally had to move them 2 feet to make room for the machine). I went outside to move them in my pjs, but I was annoyed for sure. He then said did I want to send someone else to do the lawn. I said no it is fine. He got in his truck and drove away without doing my lawn.

Be aware of hidden costs and sales. Although I said no on the phone they charged me for the services that I dont approve. I dont even know if I really got this service or not. I dont trust TruGreen.

They do not deliver what they promise. I had it in writing that they would reduce the creeping Charlie and thats why I signed. They did not so I cancelled last year. This spring they called again and promised weed control, aeration, seeding and grub control for one price if I came back. I agreed and paid in full. They then came and applied the Grub Control (Live nematodes) in the middle of a tiny drought hot spell while we had a no watering law in force. Then they started calling to collect an additional $ 126.00 for applying the nematodes. I explained that it was suppose to be included but then came the collection e-mails. So I paid the $ 126.00 (not worth my time to argue) and called them to cancel and take my name off their call list for next year. One of my neighbors cancelled last year and my next door neighbor cancelled two weeks ago all for the same reasons.

Didnt achieve what they had told me when I hired them to take care of lawn. At that time I was told that they guarantee that the loan will be green and free of weeds. Didnt happen throughout the season, not even once I could say that it was good. Also, the service provider never ever tried to come and talk to you. Always left the same notes on the door, even when you are inside home. Only interested to get there money and for that they can call you multiple times. Maybe try some other company. I will do the same.

The contract says to get rid of the weed and reseed my lawn for $155. The salesman said that I wouldnt have to pay unless the job was done and satisfied with it. They came 3 times about a month apart to spray the weed but the weed is still there and now they want to reseed the lawn while the weeds are still there. Not to mention that the chemicals they used burnt a huge patch of my lawn in my backyard. Now they want me to pay them when the job was never done properly and threatened to take me to the collection agency. True green is not a very honest company and all they want is pocket the money. If true green doesnt cancel their claim I will have no choice but to take them to small claims court.

My lawn was in serious trouble. It looked absolutely awful. Two reps from tru green came to my home offering their services. They offered to take me around the yard and explain to me what was needed to make my lawn respectable again. This was the first thing that set tru green apart from other lawn service companies and I have used two others in the past. I decided to take a chance and I was not disappointed. By the end of the season my lawn was beautiful and in the spring when everyone on my street started off with brown lawns mine was green. The reps are respectful as well as knowledgeable. I have recommended tru green to three of my neighbours all who have switched to tru green and are tru believers!
