Lindsay Landscape in Ottawa

Worst company ever to deal with first of they cant clean snow they shouldnt even be doing it at all second they hit my truck theres not alot of damage but if your going to hit someones vehicle with your plow you should be fixing the damage not taking weeks on weeks with no answers and now why you guys are getting this review dont hire this company unless you want half the work done or you things smashed and not replaced and on top of it all the girl did on the phone was laughing the whole time as a business owner my self real Unprofessional

They make a snow bank in front of other peoples driveway instead of getting rid, its annoying when you clear your driveway for them to come late and block it off to do your neighbors driveways, forcing you to come out and redo your driveway

They are working behind my apartment building from 6 am to late afternoon with their trucks idling, making extreme noise by using their backhoe and the back up beeper. I didn t know that a company can have a construction lot in peoples backyards. I work from home and the noise is loud and distracting. I asked them if it was possible to turn their back up beeper off or down n écrit is consistently beeping, they were extremely unprofessional and began blaring their truck horns.

Last week, a crew from Lindsay landscaping was clearing ice off a pub patio with in Westboro. My bike was parked on the sidewalk. The skid steer backed into it and damaged the bike beyond repair. They left a card on my bike. Phil, the owner, tried to track me down through the pub. When we finally connected, they arranged to purchase a replacement bike within a day. Accidents happen, but theyre not all resolved as quickly and with integrity like this. Phil just did the right thing immediately. Credit where credit is due. On that basis alone, I would hire this company. Coincidentally, about ten years ago, I was on the board of a condo building downtown and Lindsay had landscaping contract. I recall them being responsive and responsible and they apparently still have the contract for that property. That kind of longevity says a lot as well.

After trying to contact multiple companies to deal with an issue with Japanese Knotweed, we came across Phil and his team at Lindsey landscaping. Truly professionals from start to finish. I highly recommend Phil and his team and their level of knowledge. Both my wife and I are pleased with the results and would not hesitate to hire him in the future.

Unprofessional company No respect for people properties No knowledge how to use them equipment Employees are rude and they dont show respect If I was the owner of the company I would fired each one of them and hires new employees that they respect them selves I got now scratchs on my car paint thanks to your employees

Weve used other landscapers over the years, but this company was by far the most professional and responsive. Always on time and polite. The work was exceptional. The most positive experience weve ever had with a landscaping company.

UPDATE: If I could choose no star at all, I would. After posting the below and owners response, nothing changed. It even got worst (the job was much bigger than my neighbours had said) - Id say the worst 5 months of my life (and Ive been through a lot): They slacked off over summer, took long breaks, smoke on property; they have been dry-cutting cement again on property with the dust flying over my side (pic included. You cant see their truck through the particles). Note that I dont blame just these guys - the neighbours contracting them are to blame too for not managing the job over summer and escaping to their cottage, leaving neighbours to suffer the loud noise and all the chaos. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My neighbours hired them to do their yard. It started with them leaving planks of wood on my property (over the walking path), assuming Id be ok with that (They did remove it after I asked). Then, this morning, they cut through cement around 8am, right by my bedroom and kitchen (it was incredibly loud), no pre-warning. This caused loads of dust to cover my patio set and other items in the yard. I took time away from work to cover everything with tarps, but it was too late. It would have been nice to be told yesterday (Note that my neighbours have fled to their cottage, but theyre going to hear it too upon their return).

Very family oriented company. Great bunch of guys.

Friday Snow Storm Good Morning Clients, Im sure everywhere is aware that we have an approaching system with up to 25-30cm of snow, and spread out over nearly 36 hours, which makes it very tough to not kill our staff!. I will send a rough timeline later today to update clients, however in the meantime, here is some information to keep in mind about this storm. -This event is supposed to be very long. Snow to start overnight Thursday into Friday with heaviest snow predicted for early am Friday morning through midday. During events like this there will be many instances of snow in the lots even though we have just visited. Please let our team do their work and be advised that the first runs will be done to keep lanes open. We will be doing a final scrape and stalls on Saturday, so please advise residents to be ready to move their cars WHEN they see/hear the loaders. -Our team will have to rest at times to stay safe as well, and we expect to work all morning and day Friday, rest up overnight on Friday night and return early Saturday morning for final scrapes and salting. A few notes to help you through every storm: - Plan accordingly, due to the fact that road conditions will be very hazardous, try to reschedule appointments, or continue to work from home. Do whatever you can to avoid being on the roads. This helps us by reducing congestion on roads and allows us to move around the City faster. - Spend today getting whatever necessities you may need including groceries; this will limit your need to go out during the event. - DO NOT MOVE YOUR VEHICLES on to the road or into visitor parking you will get a ticket as a parking ban will be in effect and most of our piling areas are in visitor parking areas. Please keep in the proper stalls until stall clearing. - We will do our best to update with our emails as the need arises, so please stay tuned - Asking us for an exact time that we will be at your site is, unfortunately, not a realistic question. During an event of this size all snow warriors will be working hard AND we fully expect traffic during the morning on Friday to be disastrous meaning routes will take longer than normal, just to get from site to site. - Please be patient and kind to our staff, they will appreciate it and it goes a long way when we normally only receive frustrated requests. Probably the worst experience ever dealing with a contractor. They rebuilt decks and fences in our condo complex. I am willing to bet that the fences are straighter in the port area of Beirut after the explosion than the work done here. The employees just start working without permission or explanation of what they are doing within the yards. Threw personal stuff around like it was garbage. The quality of the workmanship and the material used was subpar. Employee yelled into towards my unit yelling that he needed access to the yard. Didnt ask nicely. Nothing like yelling and swearing with this crew. This has been my experience. I made a comment to a neighbor about Welcome to Welfare Acres. His comment back was this is worse than welfare acres. They at least hire competent contractors. Couldnt argue that point. Not sure why they had levels out because nothing is level or straight.

I live in a condominium townhouse complex... Lindsey Landscaping has been contracted for a few years... The sidewalks are not cleared right... paved paved pads are not cleared entirely... these pads are for emergency vehicles... the curbs where the sidewalk meets the private road are not cleared... I cant walk very well and use a cane... I had to climb over the bank to the cleared side.. Lindsey Landscaping employees were having a smoke break and they watched me try to clear the area.... never helped or finished clearing what I did not do... got in the truck and drove past... my husband works Landscaping and snow removal... he shakes his head when he comes home after his shift... I wish I could give a 5 stars to the company but after seeing a Lindsey crew do what they did... no way...

Always prompt & on time with Plowing my driveway. I see their crews around the alta vista area almost daily & the guys always seem well kept & courteous.

My family had work done by Lindsay landscape Inc and I must say the overal experience wasnt pleasant. Lots of broken promises from management and were not on the same page as workers. Workers were great and willing to help solve problems. Would recommend workers, but not management!

I have regularly conducted business with Lindsay Landscape Inc for the better part of a decade. The management and administration of this company is second to none in the industry. They are highly organized and committed to the completion of their projects. All equipment is kept up to date, well serviced and ready for the task at hand. One of the things i have enjoyed most in my dealings with them is that if they say something is going to happen, it always does.

Caught one of their employees smoking weed on a property. Was told it was dealt with, a few weeks later I saw the same employee driving around, but in a different truck. Management is very unprofessional and boarderline vulgar when you bring anything up to them. Mr. Lindsay was probably the rudest person Ive had to deal with. I have suggested to my condo board to change companies, and I would suggest that other condos do the same unless you want people smoking weed around your children and your homes or an owner who is vulgar to deal with. If I could give this place no stars I would, but I had to give them one to be able to write this out In a response to the recent tall oak posting. I am a resident of the area in question. This is where I caught the employee smoking weed. I know for a fact that this is the owner of Lindsay landscape posing as a member of our condo board trying to uplift the star rating of his sub par and sub quality company. I find it shameful that he would impersonate one of his contracts in a shady attempt at winning other business. I have filed complaints with my board in this reguard, file inquiries with the BBB and for good measure filed an inquiry with the ministry of labor to make sure they are actually performing their sub par work safely. I dont like having to readdress my initial review of the company, but the owner took it upon himself to impersonate my board. Beware future potential clients of this company, this is how the owner acts.
