UPDATE: WOW! Now I m impressed. It s too bad they didn t do this 3 days ago. It s too bad a negative review had to be written to get action. But. They came back today, swept and hosed the street AND the driveway. Over and above. Well done. Changing 1 star to 4. Can t give a 5 given the whole situation but do this on every job and you ll get 5s. My neighbour had them in to replace his back lawn and they left him and all of us in the neighbourhood a pile of dirt and mud on the road. This isn t a construction site nor is it the country. Clean up your mess properly after the job is completed. Terribly unprofessional! If I could give zero stars I would. Comment from business owner is welcome.

Hired Instant Lawn last summer (2021) for the installation of an irrigation system. Cost was cheaper than competitors but not at the cost of service or equipment. Excellent service, professional installation and a plesure to deal with Instant Lawn. I highly recommend.

After many years of fighting to get our lawn back to pre-grub perfection, we had an irrigation system installed and subsequent sodding done! The irrigation system was installed quickly, expertly, instructions provided, follow up given, and the system was properly prepared and shut off for the winter! Jamieson and his crew did an excellent job and we thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful green lawn all season long! I highly recommend Instant Lawn Irrigation!

This is my second submission. The first was on April 9/22 and was withdrawn some two days later after having received a call from Instant Lawns on April 11/22 admitting their failure to communicate and a promise Yes we will be returning to redo the work on your front lawn and I expect to be there the last week of April or the first week of May Nobody showed up! First submission: In May/21 I contracted Instant Lawns to refurbish my front lawn. The work started on time, the old lawn was removed, 104 yds. of advertised highest quality soil was brought in and spread and then hydroseeding with highest grade seed took place. After approximately ten days of twice daily watering by us, germination started. There followed many surprises, young grass came first, then purslane took over the edges of the lawn, this was followed by plantain and finally by huge clumps of crabgrass. My concern was communicated with photos to the contractor who informed me that this was quite normal with hydroseeding you will always have weeds as they are growing at the same time as the seeds Eventually the contractor Jacob Kwiatkowski came and admitted that the weeds must have been imported with the soil. He informed me that the lawn would be redone at his expense. Time went on and after several e-mails, on August 11/21 I was told that I was still on his radar and the work would be done as soon as the heat wave was over. August ended, September passed and winter came but Mr. Kwiatkowski did not. It is now spring and $12,000 later with lots of crabgrass and other weeds to come, we will not have the lawn we were expecting nor the value for our money. There was no guaranteed satisfaction here. I am not a novice, in my time I have supervised and sub contracted out to build two homes and have lived in my present home for over thirty years. I have met a lot of tradespeople but this has been my worst experience.

Jamieson and Lucas did a very professional job in installing my sprinkler system. I am a very satisfied customer who would not hesitate to refer Instantlawn.ca to friends and any acquaintances alike. Their after sale service is top notch as they always respond quickly to resolve any maintenance issues.

I cant say enough good things about Jamieson, Lucas and the Instant Lawns team. We quoted out residential irrigation systems from several local companies, and Instant Lawns was the most competitive and was able to provide a much earlier date for installation than the competitors. The plumbing installer came in first, and worked with us to ensure we were happy with the location of the interior piping, as well as the exterior tap location. A few days later, the crew came in to install the exterior electrical and in ground portions of the system. They ensured that the control box was mounted in a location that was aesthetically good (as good as a box on the side of the house can be ;) ) and that the sprinkler heads were placed in areas to get complete coverage in our odd shaped yard. Jamieson even planned the system in a way to allow us potential future expansion. In the case of both the plumber and the outside crew, the worksite was cleaned up when they were complete, and after a couple of days of watering it was like they were never here! One other comment, we had interlock installed in our front walkway about a week after the initial installation of the irrigation system (long story short, because of covid delays we were expecting it to be done next year). I called Jamieson and he came back to adjust the heads around the new interlock between existing jobs. Thats just great customer service. I would highly recommend Jamieson and the team at Instant Lawns for your lawn irrigation installation needs!

Out of three quotes we received Instant Lawn s was the most economically favourable. The young guys; Jamieson, Lucas and Justin did a wonderful job and had the system running quickly. Jamieson looked very professional as he walked me through the Hydrawise App. Well done guys.

Dont waste your time and money. Im still waiting a year later for completion of my back yard project. Worker promised to return to finish the garden bed and never did. They have gone silent after phone calls and emails to Jacob

Had irrigation system, top soil and hydroseed installed. Did a good job with the work overall. However they were late starting and raised the price quoted significantly one week prior to starting (when it was too late in the season to hire someone else to do it). Also no communication between the labourer and management led to them rototilling areas that were not part of our lawn. Extremely poor communication, hard to get a hold of often saying they will complete tasks then just never doing them. Also wont answer any emails, simply just ignoring them. Decent work but would recommend looking elsewhere.

If you use this company ensure you get everything from your estimate in writing. The did our entire yard in 2018. Never finished portions they said they would come back to do, asked for additional money for specifics that we were told were included. 2 years later every bit of sod is dead, despite water and feeding. Was just told by another contractor the grading that we paid for wasn t done. And we have weeds introduced that can only be killed by physical removal and must have come with the sod. Big waste of money.

I had insta lawns come in and grade and sod my front lawn. Zac and Owen were the two gentlemen that did it. They were friendly, professional and worked efficiently. Enjoyed my experience with this company and would highly recommend them.

Got a quote that was very competitive. They notified they were coming and were here on time. They did a great job with removing the remnants of our lawn. Dug down and got rid of the roots of the weeds. Raked and leveled and added top soil. Did an outstanding job of preparation for the laying of the sod. They laid the sod and cut to fit all the contours. I am very pleased with the professionalism, very high quality product and, workmanship and highly recommend Instant Lawns to anyone. Thank you.

We hired Instant Lawn to help us transform our lot and they surely delivered it ! We had seeded in the Fall but when Spring arrived we had more weeds than actual grass. During a pandemic , with rising costs of almost everything , we desperately needed a lawn for our little one ! They provided a competitive quote, worked hard to clear the weeds , prep the lot , and roll out our sod! It was literally instant ! While the owners are young , I see potential in their business growing . I found them humble , easy to deal with , and accountable to delivering their best to their clients. We would work with them for further projects and will recommend them to our friends and family .

I had the sod removed from back yard and had fresh screened topsoil and new sod installed. Lucas, Caleb, Brandon and Adam were here today and did a really good job. My new lawn looks great. They did our backyard, sod removal and new lawn installation plus some small interlock job. Very professional crew this year. We followed the instructions and 2 months later the lawn looks very well. The price was fair and they detailed the work items. The job took a little longer than expected but only by 2 days. We had a very good experience!

We were working on the same site as them installer was very mad cause he had to change 1 sprinkler head and turned on the sprinklers on us and told us its only water you wanna make sure they dont work with others in your yard

Compared 4 quotes that were are in line with each other but Instant Lawns responded the quickest and with the most detailed quote. They showed up when they said they would and delivered what was expected. I got more than I asked for as they used additional soil and sod to ensure proper results in low areas. They transitioned new and existing grass seamlessly and on level. During installation I asked for a a couple of extra details not in the contract and they simply took care of it without complaints or extra costs. Very energetic group of people that stayed until dusk to make sure they were finished in one day. Didnt have to deal with the typical, well come back, and then never show up again. You can be confident using Instant Lawns.

TLDR: This company is very unprofessional, fails to communicate to its customers and openly admitted that they take advantage of their customer s patience to compensate for the mismanagement of their resources. I suggest that you do the work yourselves or spend a little more money and hire someone else. Reasoning: -We never received a work contract/ invoice/ summary despite asking for 3 weeks. -After we called asking if we should go with another company, we were told they had rearranged their schedule and that a crew would arrive within 30-60mins. -They never showed up in the time frames that they gave us, sometimes not even on the days that they told us. -Crews came and went as they pleased, entering our yard (and our neighbors due to easement) without informing us that they were starting work or that they had finished. A couple of times, people appeared in our backyard with absolutely no intent of doing work: someone came into our backyard unannounced and took back tools at 630 AM. Another person let himself in at around 630PM. This is absolutely unacceptable. Proper etiquette of informing the homeowner prior to entering their property (whether in the form of knocking, a doorbell ring, or even a phone call) should be practiced. -On relaying the above concerns and frustrations of our experience on the phone their reply was as follows: we are sorry, we shouldnt have done that, we rely on our customers patience and we have been taking advantage of you, we are sorry. After we put in a stop work order, one of the companys owners contacted us and we began talks to work out a payment that was acceptable to both parties, given the services rendered. Though our account has been settled, the whole process was exhausting and infuriating. I hope you seriously reconsider choosing Instant Lawns and evaluate if you have the patience to be inconvenienced for an unnecessary amount of time.

They came out to quote my job and told me I would have my quote by the end of the day. 3 weeks later and still no quote for a simple job after many emails with them saying You will have it today. That day never came and the lawn is far from instant.

Called Instant Lawns to replace our front lawn which had been ruined due to the summer heat of 2018. The whole process, from the initial quote from Jacob, to the laying of the new grass by his crew removed a lot of stress. My wife and I are senior citizens and are incapable of doing heavy lawn work and finding and dealing with Jacob, his office staff and work crew was a pleasure. Thank you Instant Lawns!

After the drought and a nasty infestation of chinch bugs our lawn was a write off. Instant Lawn came and replaced the back and it looks amazing. The crew were great. Very friendly and extremely hard working. They knew exactly what needed to be done. Within two days the whole back yard was ripped up, regraded, and replaced. Highly recommend this company. They were reasonably priced, very honest, and the end result was a usable backyard that no longer looks like a swamp but looks like a proper play area for kids. What a different a grassy backyard makes!

Top notch service. We needed to remove a jungle of perennials from our backyard and replace with sod. An hour after an online inquiry I received a call from Jacob. He and Lawrence came to the house same day and provided a quote. There were some delays on actual project date, simply due to poor seasonal weather we had in 2019. Once the team did arrive, promptly at 7:00am when scheduled. The job was completed all within one days work. A very pleasant surprise when I arrived home from work! The workers were very polite and did an amazing job. Also, price was extremely reasonable compared to the 3 other quotes I received. Highly recommend.

I requested a quote in April. Instant lawns came out at the beginning of May to do the measurements and I haven t heard anything since. No updates, no communication. I understand it s a busy time of year but this type of service is not acceptable.

No complaints. Job done well. Grass was installed in the rain so mud on driveway but that is a minor detail and it is disappearing. The installers were professional and just really nice to have do the job.

I can not give high enough praise for Instant Lawns. They did some landscaping for me this summer and they showed up when they said they would and completed the job in a timely manner. I contacted this company after their branded truck burned out in a gravel parking lot and sprayed gravel all over my car and the ones parked around me. The email was a courtesy to let them know that there truck driver was being recklessly and irresponsibly. (The owner send me an email about taking the driver off the road for a day...), no apology though. However my friend who had left the parking ahead of me and thought he was going to be hit buy the truck as it raced towards him good look at the driver as they waited for a red light to leave the parking lot. He then iddentified the driver as the OWNER OF THE COMPANY! (Who posts pictures of him and his truck on social media) I dont know about the quality of service this company has but all of my interactions with them have lead me to believe they are unprofessional, reckless and irresponsible. Reading other reviews Ive noticed Im not the only one who has witnessed these habits as well.

The team at Instant Lawn were great from the beginning to the end. Heather was always quick to answer my questions via phone and helped to arrange a date that is convenient for the sods installation. Lucas and Jacob were patients when measurements changed and required a new quote, and were quick to answer my emails. The project finished within a day, and the team left without a mess. I never worked with a company that is well organized and professional. I would recommend them for sod installation.

These reviews were the reason i decided on this service in the first place. but in retrospect, Buyer beware.......

It is 4 months since we have Instant Lawns resodded our front and backyard. We ordered the drought resistant sod and it looks beautiful, lush green and healthy even in the heat of summer. The four crew who installed the sod were very friendly and knowledgeable, the estimator was competitive, and especially Kyle, the front man who seemed to work 24 hours a day in May. Their services were exceptional; they followed through all problems and provided us solution even though these were beyond their control. In our backyard, some small animals have flipped over some of the new sods. I have to flip the sod back in the morning and reported to Instant Lawns for advice. Instant Lawns provided me with several suggestions even though the problem was not related to them. Finally, I also like the free rain gauge from Instant Lawns, it is pretty handy! I am rating their services and workmanship as excellent, and do not hesitate to recommend Instant Lawns to others who need to replace their lawn. Stephen August, 2015

After having our backyard destroyed due to construction of a new garage, Instant Lawns created a beautiful space for us in just one day! In addition to sodding of a large area, they corrected the grading, put down river rock alongside the new garage, created a pathway and installed a mulch area for a trampoline. We were amazed that all of this happened so quickly! All of the staff members, both on sight and in the office, were very friendly and easy to work with. We are very pleased with the end result.

If there was a 0 star rating I would give them that. The sales rep Lisa never returned my three phone calls. I had to keep phoning her to finally get an appointment to provide an estimate. Not only did the estimator Southerland not show up, but he didnt even bother to call with an explanation. I dont expect any follow up either.

I had my complete backyard and 50% of my front yard replaced and I am completely happy with the result. I followed the instructions for watering, fertilizing and seeding and this helped my new lawn thrive even with last year s dry summer. This effort really showed this year as my lawn is thick and green and in excellent health. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend Instant Lawn to other potential customers.
