UPDATE: A new problem with the irrigation system arose and Robert and Ryan had it identified and fixed in about two hours total time. We have a lot of valve boxes so it took some detective word to isolate multiple problems. They absolutely dont try to upsell or mis-identify any issues to pad the bill. The company responds very promptly and communicates like no other. I recommend Green Star Landscaping even for the most robust irrigation system. ----------------- Green Star Landscape and Irrigation was a new company to us. Sent a message to fix a leak in my drip irrigation, they sent a tech the very next day and had it fixed super quickly at a very reasonable price. I would definitely use them agian.

These guys came over to quote on lighting and irrigation. Sent a quote for the irrigation different than was asked (included everything in a lump sum rather than itemized). I called and had to leave a message (which wasnt returned) for lighting and finally had to send an email. Again, a lump-sum quote rather than what was requested. No follow up to date after requests. I dont know how these people stay in business!!!

My only issue was, when the technician was done, he simply left without letting me know he was done. That wasn t enough to affect my review, but it would ve been nice. They charge ~$60 just to show up and provide a mandatory diagnosis, even for something like a basic irrigation line leak that is clearly obvious. Then $100 hr plus parts and fuel charge to fix anything for the next visit

Efficiently and relatively economically replaced three malfunctioning solenoids and fixed one bad sprinkler head within 2 days of my call to them!

Robert of Green Star Landscape Irrigation did an excellent job in diagnosing my drip irrigation issues, developed a plan to correct the deficiencies and executed that plan a the most cost effective manner.

We paid A Green Star almost $800 to fix our irrigation system. I told them there was a leak when they came out to replace the PVC lines with copper. They couldnt find it. So a couple days later when I saw the leak again I took a picture and called them. They came out and fixed it, but charged me another $111 just to patch a leaking line. That just seems ridiculous to me. I will be looking elsewhere for my irrigation service next time.

We were impressed with Michaels education and expertise specifically regarding irrigating desert gardens to maximize benefit to plantings while minimizing water use. Prior to this, we had had a succession of contractors install and work on drip irrigation systems on our property that were pricey, short-lived, wasteful, and problematic. In contrast, Michael Cummins the company owner, and the technicians who work for him, are knowledgeable, professional, and great to deal with. By now they feel like good and reliable friends. Responded right away. Very easy to talk with. Fixed a number of issues at a reasonable price. When we realized there was one more issue, responded and was at the house the next day. Will use them going forward.

We agreed he would fix the leak and make sure the 20 or so spigots were working and that all plants had water. He fixed the leak, but did not check each spigot. So I did. I found one not working and had to point it out to him and ask him to replace it. I found another plant that had no spigot and asked him to add it. Why didnt he check them all and find these himself? I again asked him to check them all and show me that each was working. He did not. I had to go around and do it myself, checking each one by one. Some I could not see so I had to ask him to dive into the plant and look for the spigot to see if it was working. Why is it my job to micro-manage this? He should have done all this without my prodding.

The only activity has been 5/25-5/28/23 sprinklers only , the drip system has not functioned at all . Please address this problem . During a 115° day in July my front yard irrigation system ruptured in one of the hoses. This was due to the excessive heat and just one of those things. The leaking hose was on a timer and causing the scheduled watering times to flow into the street rather than water the.plants. I called Green Star, spoke to a helpful person and got the job scheduled for 2 days out. Excellent customer service. Timely response, the technician was at my home earlier than scheduled, super nice, knowledgeable and repaired the rupture and added some new lines. It was smooth and within a few dollars of the quote, even though additional lines were added. Very pleased, having them install an additional system in the back yard to water a palm. Definitely have them on speed dial in case I have any other issues arise with the watering system. Very pleased with the work, professionalism and expediency they used in addressing my issue. I highly recommend Green Star.

Ryan and his partner did a great job repairing our very complicated irrigation system. Green Star was the third company we called for bids. The first was a no-show, the second told us theyd have to replace the entire system which would cost $20,000 (they assured me that this would be much cheaper than trying to fix it). Thank goodness I called Green Star next! The crew from Green Star did a thorough investigation of the system, catching things no one else had seen (e.g., we had water bubbling up through a brick walkway), gave us an estimate of about $2,000, arrived on time a few days later, and fixed everything. We later had a small leak (due to a faulty part), called Green Star, and they came back and fixed it the next day free of charge. I highly recommend this business. They are honest, responsive, hard-working people, and they REALLY know irrigation!

I used A Green Star Landscape to install a drip filter with regulator. First of all they have an AMAZING website! It is very professional and easy to use. I spoke with Michael Cummins several times and he is extremely professional, knowledgable, courteous, and has great customer service skills. They send you an invoice by email, with a link and it is really easy to pay. The price was extremely reasonable and they really worked with me on that. The only very slight complaint that I might have is the there seems to be a long wait in between when I communicated with them and the next step. But Im sure they are extremely busy because they are so good and I know that Mr. Cummins even does paperwork on Sundays! I totally recommend them and will definitely be using them in the future for my Irrigation needs!!

Robert was knowledgeable and informed. He came out when I had leak in my irrigation system. I used two different landscape companies and recently had my front and back yard done in consecutive years. The first company couldnt figure out how to run it to the back and the second company couldnt figure out how to separate the two areas/zones. Robert fixed my leak and separated the two zones so I didnt have to run them both at the same time. He only charged labor and was very reasonable. Will certainly use him in the future. What we found out the hard way is that even the best landscape companies have spotty irrigation techs. But now Ill know who to call.

They placed a new irrigation system for me last year and after 11 months I had a leak and the system was not functioning as per the scheduled waterings. I contacted them and was quite desperate to get it done quickly as I was leaving on vacation out of the country 2 days later. Although they did not have available appointments, they came over to fix it the next day. Also I received a $0 bill for service due to the system being under a year old. A Greenstar Landscape is the best irrigation company I have ever dealt with. I have been our HOA landscape rep. over 10 years and dealt with many landscape/irrigation companies. Owner, Micheal, is a UofA horticultural graduate, has been in this business over 2 decades and has an indepth knowledge of Arizona plants and local irrigation requirements. His right hand man, Manny, has never had a bad day. His contagious smile and work ethic are unrivaled. Manny is a fun person to be around and loves sharing his work. All of the other irrigation experts look you in the eye and acknowledge your presence. Micheal says they are all being taught the trade, similar to an understudy position and given enough freedom to think independently so they can grow. The young men working for A Green Star are all very personable and happy to be there. Prices are terrific and work is completed promptly. I will never use anyone other than A Greenstar Landscape.

Thank you! Just moved in and the drip system had been shut off since the previous owners left. We got it running, and it wouldnt stop. Couldnt even find where the valves were buried. No instructions. Michael came out, found the problem, gave us an estimate, and in fact was able to fix it at a much lower cost than anticipated. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone with a drip system, which is pretty much anyone in Tucson.
