WORST Lawn Care company. Ive been using TruGreen for 6 months, weeds still there, and good grasses gone. We requested to talk to the technician in person when he came here to take care of our lawn. He never called us or knocked on the door when he was here.

TruGreen has been a Tru-Nightmare. I had my backyard re-sodded which cost me $7,500. The installer advised to contact a professional to have it treated for fungus and grubs/chinch bugs as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I chose TruGreen. I advised the salesman at TruGreen that I just had new sod put in and I needed service for fungus and bugs -- as you cannot fertilize a new lawn within the first 4-8 weeks. TruGreen shows up to the scheduled appointment with fertilizer and state they cannot do anything to my lawn -- turns out the salesman only sold me a package that included treatment for chinch bugs and fertilizer. I call back -- the salesman states they do not treat bugs or fungus. I call customer service to get to the bottom of it and it turns out that they do sell a service for fungus and for a 4500 square foot backyard they wanted $1,800 dollars. Mind you, Ive already paid them $700 for service I never got, and for a package I did not need. I also asked customer service if I had bug treatment included in my initial package why did the worker for TruGreen only show up with fertilizer on a lawn that was less than 10 days old -- of course, she had no response. Cliff Notes: avoid TruGreen at all costs unless you want to deal with a conglomerate company where the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing, dishonest salesman, and all around incompetence.

I didnt have the best lawn but under Orkin things were improving and weeds were under control. They merged with Trugreen and the grass I had died, and weeds spread rapidly. The tree and shrub team was good. But I cant give more than 2 stars based on how quickly my lawn regressed after Orkin switched to Trugreen. Communication was a mess. They promised free evaluations to stop me from cancelling but then rescheduled several times. Two weeks later no evaluation and several calls from corporate trying to apologize for the local team not evaluating. Eventually the tree/shrub guy came for his normal routine and had to be the one who evaluated the lawn. But he apologized that he couldnt answer lawn questions. Once again, tree/shrub team was very polite and helpful. But I had a different lawn person every time and they couldnt explain the basics of how to improve the lawn other than water more. I have a good irrigation system that has good coverage. It isnt the water.

I was basically harassed to sign up the second I showed interest by one of their sellers, then the second I signed the agreement, he went ghost. I was charged for services that I never received and when trying to get a refund it s been a month now. The customer service is not great at all. I ve had to call corporate multiple times to try and get my services canceled and my refunds for services never received. It s been a month and still haven t received refunds. Please find another company that ll actually value you as a customer.

SCAMMERS!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!!! First class scammers. Someone called me after I requested a quote. We then agreed on a price. The salesman said, and I quote, you ll be covered for every type of pest, except termites . Obviously that was a lie and on the first visit the technician already told me only mosquitoes were covered. And to top it all off, the actual price they are charging me is twice what we agreed upon. Don t fall for these guys, hire separate landscapers and pest control and it ll be both better and cheaper. By the way, the scammer who sold me this was David, phone number ending in 1485. Yes him.

Dont hire this place if your actually trying to get rid of your weeds, when your calling asking about there services they are very nice and make it seem like your getting a great deal, they say stuff like they fertilize, do pest control & they will make sure there are no weeds. They also said if the weeds dont die to call them and they will have somebody come back out immediately. So I said Ill call back and think about it. I called them back they answered immediately. They told me they have a special deal for the year so I said okay Ill take it. 2 days later the guy comes out for only 5 minutes doesnt spray any weeds just sprayed the yard for 3 minutes then leaves. His truck was here for a total of 5 minutes. So I go to call them back they ignore all my calls all week, I text the guy who signed me up and he says he will call me after his meeting, 5 days later still cant get a hold of them, they will answer all your calls before you pay though. Definitely go with a smaller business this one truly has no care for there customers. Youll thank me later

My lawn is looking so much better since I started with TruGreen in January. It s now only May and Todney was just here. He asked if I had any concerns. As usual they ask. They have truly made a big difference. Also Omar M was also here to take care of my trees and shrubs. When Omar started taking care of them a lot of them, I thought, were dead. He fertilized and sprayed and explained exactly what I should do and to not give up. They now all have nice green leaves and look very healthy. Today He did discover a bug on my hibiscus and took care of it with spraying.(also fertilized and bug sprayed all) I really appreciate the complete service report they both leave with all the stuff they use and recommendations and comments.

I was actually really interested in their services and put in an inquiry. I received a call that night and spoke with someone about a quote. I proceeded to receive seven more calls in between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM the next day. I was told the request to put me as do not call would take seven days, so I m anticipating a nightmare week. only the last person I spoke with apologize, the second to last guy who was some sort of manager didn t even apologize and still tried to sell me. We decided to go a different way because I don t feel comfortable with their customer service model.

Representative came to my door professionally dressed , identified himself, walked around my property with me . I showed him the areas I wanted treated.

Bernardo H. is the first specialist to actually knock on my door when he arrived and let me know what he was scheduled to do today. He was very pleasant and answered a few questions for me. The first service start out great just for $40 but then they started charging me $70 to spray once in my yard that is really small pest control. I have no bad experience but $125 and they dont even service inside of a house is a lot a new company I hired is charging me $45 and they do everything even termites tree and scrub is also expensive. Overall its expensive and my yard still has weeds numerous complaints.

I moved in my home with a irrigation system and used as much water as needed and 2yrs later my yard looks horrible. I requested on several occasions for mgr to come and just had one to come and he had zero personality says its a lack of water for my issues . Their techs have given over the 2 yrs various responses of why but not watering..my neighbor yard is connected to mine..she has no irrigation or treatments but it looks alot better than mine so trugreen is full of excuses bottom line..I feel ripped off!

Very bad lawn service and the customer service is worst, I feel like I wasted my money. I dont recommend. FYI I sent an email with the details of call to that email even before they replied with this template reply. And it shows that they didn t even check their emails. Unbelievable

My yard looks terrible! Also, the left side of my back yard is never treated because no one wants to drag the hose that far over.

This company unfortunately took advantage of my elderly parents. They came to the house for a lawn that was having problems. They made promises and convinced my parents to prepay for the service. They then did nothing. It has been over 1/2 year and the lawn looks worse! I am so disappointed as I thought this was a more reputable company and definitely not one that would take advantage of the elderly. I should have included pictures so everyone could see but literally there is not one area of the entire lawn that has been improved. I can t put what they actually did for a service because they literally did nothing.

We hired TruGreen for lawn care and weed control for our NEW home build in 2021. Soon after our treatments began we noticed our sod completely dying! I contacted the supervisor at TruGreen who came out to inspect our yard and confirmed that the tech used on our lawn killed the lawn. Multiple calls later and we had finally had TruGreen agree to plug the lawn in April 2022 but they would not agree to replace the sod! We noticed the plugs weren t growing last year and contacted the supervisor again. He advised we were watering too much and that it would take time for them to spread but once the plugs take off, they take off. Fast forward 12 months later and our yard still looks horrible! You can see from these pictures where the plugs are and how they are completely not spreading! The customer service we ve experienced with TruGreen has been awful. I would highly recommend not using them for your lawn care!!

I have been using TruGreen for about 3 years and I could not believe how greener my grass is. Less weeds and just beautiful St Augustine grass now. My neighbors on both sides were using Massey and they switced to TruGreen and across the street did as well. We love our grass now. Thanks TruGreen

Renaldo s service is always on time and professional. He has been servicing my lawn for many years and he is the reason I keep the company renewed each year.

I was contact by a representative of TruGreen seeking my business. I explained to the representative, who asked me to refer to him as TruGreen Dave, my specific lawncare needs (i.e., address brown patches, mosquito control, help to get a greener lawn, etc.) and he assured me TruGreen was the company could handle the job. I terminated my then existing lawncare company and paid for the year of services in advance (big mistake). After several months, I noticed the brown patches near the edge of the sidewalk was not getting any better so I texted TruGreen Dave on June 2, 2023, and asked what could be done. Three days later he responded and said a technician was coming out. A technician was sent out who told me to place playground sand in the brown areas to promote growth. Before I tried this DIY option, however, another TruGreen technician came out and told me that actually the brown area was due to bugs, which actually made a little more sense to me. The second technician, who completed contradicted the technician TruGreen Dave sent over applied some pellets and indicated the problem should resolve in two weeks or so. After a couple weeks, on June 27, 2023, I noticed the area was not getting any better, so I reached out to TruGreen Dave, because he told me he would always be responsive and silence. Another couple weeks passed with zero response from TruGreen Dave and I noticed the area was not getting any better, so I reached out to TruGreen Dave again on July 10, 2023, and again silence. Today marks the third attempt to reach TruGreen Dave in approximately four weeks, with utter silence. When TruGreen was trying to get my business and my money, I could stop them from calling, now that I have an issue with the service and getting what I was told I would bet, the Representative has gone radio silent. This is a very poor business practice and now has me seeking another company before my contract ends; sad. I do however give TruGreen 2-Stars because the mosquitos appear to be under control ... For now ... So, 2 days ago TruGreen responded to my post and said a member of the care team left me a message. I have zero messages from TruGreen over the past 2 days, and I am not sure how anyone would call me if I didn t leave a phone number or address from TruGreen to know who to call Interesting

TruGreen has done a great job treating our lawn. Our backyard was dying and they really brought it back to life. Our lawn is now one of the better looking lawns in the neighborhood instead of the worst. Every employee I have had interaction with has been friendly, professional, and responsive to my requests. Worked with this company for years trying to get my lawn free of weeds using their full services including the aeration with no real progress costing over $1k a year now using Lawnworx and my lawn is taking a turn for the best and saving about $400 so your better off doing it yourself or hiring a company that does what it promises

They do call you all the time to sell you all the services but never to assist you on your current one.

Just signed on with Tru Green. Have a neighbor that has used them for years & their lawn looks superb!!!! First treatment today. They were here within a week of signing on.

Today was very polite and professional.

I signed with TruGreen in March and paid for an entire year of lawn service, which provided for 11 monthly treatments. When I initially spoke to them, I asked a note be placed on my account stating no spray/fertilizer treatments be scheduled on Mondays or Tuesdays as those were the days my lawn maintenance service were on site mowing and trimming. Ironically, the very first service was scheduled for a Monday, so after a couple of calls, it was finally rescheduled and performed in May; however, each subsequent treatment, 5 total from July through August (7/12, 7/17, 8/9, 8/15, 8/25) were scheduled yet then cancelled either because they were on a Monday or Tuesday or without any explanation. Their text alerts instruct you to log in to their website, yet no explanation of the cancellations was ever available, so you ultimately have to call their customer service number and navigate several prompts before reaching a representative. Also, the TruGreen app requires you to funnel through several prompts before instructing you to call customer service - frustrating and in my opinion a weak platform with little usable functionality for customers. After several calls, I was finally told the treatments were cancelled due to the summer heat and that treating the lawn would have resulted in damage. We then scheduled a lawn service for 9/20 and I received a text alert at 7:58 that morning informing me that Darren W would soon be at my home to perform the service. At 11:05 I received an alert stating Darren W was unable to complete my service, then at 11:58 another text stating my service had been completed. Since the alerts seemed to contradict themselves, I reviewed my security camera footage and noted a TruGreen truck on my street at 11:24 then saw someone spraying my neighbors lot. My cameras cover all 4 sides of my house, and I did not see any activity in my yard. I then called Alonzo Wolf in TruGreens Outbound Retention Team and left a message, requesting he return my call to cancel my contract and request a prorated refund. No response, so I left another message days later. Still no response, so I emailed him on 10/4 and copied Lydia Haught, also a member of their retention team, and again on 10/16 - still no response. At this point, Im pursuing a prorated refund through my banks credit card dispute route. This entire experience with TruGreen has been frustrating at every contact point from the very first treatment, and only 1 has been performed in the 7 months since I paid them for a full year - for that reason, I cannot recommend them. I will now seek another company to take care of my lawn and to kill the weeds that have started invading my once lush lawn during the time TruGreen was hired to do that. BTW Ive received numerous calls over these 7 months from TruGreen stating were in the area and can stop by and treat for mosquitoes. My declination of these requests doesnt seem to ever be acknowledged.

Absolutely the worst follow up and customer service. They fried my lawn and have not been able to resolve after calling daily for 2 months. Look elsewhere for a better company to treat your lawn.

Not sure of the quality of the work they do. As for over the phone service I don t care to know. The lady was rude - could not be bothered attitude - when I was in the middle of asking her my 1st question she cut me off said what she had to say without caring to know of any questions I had. As soon as she finished I said I have a question and she simply hung up on me. Called back again to inform how I won t be calling them back for Buisness and they should screen who they have answering the phone. Their Buisness can go down the drain fast. It all starts from that phone call.

Tech showed up to spray yard watched on cameras never seen him go out back, he sprayed front yard and so I went outside to confront him he was already filling out order in less than 5 minutes time. I asked him about my yard he said he went out back but did not see the yard to the side if he went out back he would of seen that area. yard is awful and they are a terrible company dont use....

Since using TruGreen Lawn Care my lawn has become fuller, greener and healthier. Customer service is excellent and the service specialist Joen Torres is polite, friendly and professional. Ive used TruGreen for several years and would recommend the company to anyone who wants a healthy green lawn. Im thankful I can afford this luxury.

if you ever see a trugreen guy at your front door dont open it unless you wanna hear the latest techniques in how to swindle an individual using heartfull tones and words like had to get you to believe bthey care about your lawn. all smoke and mirrors kids dont fall for it.

Id be more inclined to use these guys if they didnt leave a pamphlet on my door soliciting their business despite there CLEARLY being a NO SOLICITING sign at eye level

So far, Hamilton has been a huge help in improving my understanding of the yard on this property. I was doing a few things wrong and he pointed them out and gave advice on how to do better. I was so impressed that I wanted to fill out a survey without being prompted, which is rare these days. Im excited to see how these treatments work, and Im looking forward to working with Hamilton and other specialists throughout the year.

Spoke to someone for a quote explaining exactly what I needed, and they put me on hold for 20mn saying they d check on a price for me. After which I got transferred to someone else who angrily told me that they don t cut grass and hung up on me.

The company is very irresponsible. It is very difficult to speak with a supervisor in Spanish. They sowed my seed and continued doing the maintenance and the seed was all damaged and they dont even want to answer for anything. They are only concerned about paying the monthly payment and they intend to do so without having performed the service as was my case. They even programmed the irrigation system so they could have control over my lawn and it has all been damaged and the worst thing is that they dont want to respond. They promised a supervisor and in fact he was at home and was able to observe the state of the grain. He promised to come to start recovery two weeks ago and he hasnt come. The people who answer the calls are impolite, rude and even threatening. The last person I spoke to lastly told me that I was not going to communicate with any supervisor and to do whatever I wanted. I think she was upset because I woke her up at 11:00 am. For me they are scammers and they themselves cause your hair to be damaged so that your service becomes more expensive every day. I dont recommend it to anyone. Dont fall into that, they are very bad as a company.

Complete and utter incompetence from this company at all levels. Weeds still in my yard after months of treatment. Customer service, supervisors and service technicians don t talk to one another. It was truly a comedy of errors on their end that drove me to cancelling my service. Save your money and call one of their competitors.

One of the drivers tried to run me off the road when I needed to change lanes and when I tried to call to report the incident, there were no options on the customer service line to speak to anyone regarding this matter. I was driving west on colonial near good homes and I had to alter my route because your driver was so aggressive.

Quite possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. We resoded our entire lawn 2 springs ago and hired Trugreen immediately. You pay every 4-6 wks but are offered free reservices between. Our lawn is destroyed, nothing but weeds and dead grass. We made the mistake of paying for a full year and used all the scheduled services therefore have no more available for 6 months because we have to have services more often than every 4-6 wks at the technicians recommendation, even though reservices are free and unlimited between scheduled visits. I have been trying for over a month to reach a manager about this (In addition to the fact that the tech come out for 60 seconds to treat our 1/3 acre lawn, wish I was joking) Told someone will contact in 48 hours. A good week goes by before I get a call which I miss because I m at work. The call back number each time is for trugreen customer service, not a manger, so the whole process starts over again. We ve been over a month with no treatment, followed every recommendation only to watch our lawn die. I am livid that I cannot even get a response. Will be cancelling our service without a doubt. Steer clean, the techs are just randoms with no background in lawn care as evident by every convo I ve had with them.

Hamlin #47887 services my Pest Control and I must say, he does an awesome job. He is professional, efficient and thorough. I would highly recommend him when you hire TruGreen for your lawn and pest control, he has been working for them for a long time and knows his work.

Made promises to get our business, kill weeds and improve lawn.(USED to be beautiful st.Augustine grass! Heron lawn service destroyed it after 9 mo.) For three months Trugreen sprayed 3-4 times to kill weeds- NONE of the weeds were killed! MORE took over and communication was poor over phone w/ them, service guy would come early, slip out, not let us know they were here! WORST Company ever! Just cancelled them.
