Every other tree service scheduled out a week or two just for me to get the price, and then a month for the actual cutting. Not Pablo. Clean, Considerate & Careful! Removed tricky broken tree dangling precariously over my house. I had a large maple tree (2.5 ft. in dia.) that was in bad shape and was begining to split where the trunk divided into two main limbs. Paulos crew arrived at 8:00am and had the entire tree down and removed within two hours. They also used a stump grinder to remove what was remaining of the stump. Very Happy with their work. They left my yard and driveway neat and clean. His workers were excellent, polite and very knowledgeable. Paulos trucks and equipment were some of the best I have seen and all were well maintained. His workers were very careful not to damage surrounding flowers and shrubs and to use pads when positioning the equipment so as not to damage my lawn or driveway. I would highly recommend Paulo.

Paulo Landscapers come weekly, like clockwork, to take of our property at Pierpont Hill condos in North Haven. We get constant remarks from visitors about how well the whole 50 acre complex looks. Paulo just put down the mulch for this season and it looks better than ever. For the amount of money spent, it is well worth it for the fact that it is mowed weekly. No other vendor is on the property as often as your landscaper. I dont have to follow him around or check up on his work as I do with all the other vendors. The tree was situated very close to our property line and needed to be taken down carefully to prevent damage to the neighboring property. This guy is a joke he came out and gave me quote for tree cutting and cutting with wood removal which seemed very good so said send me contract. I received contract that was $800 more than he quoted so sent him message and said I dont need tree removal found someone to take wood so send me updated contract and he said price very good it is what it is. Get contract from this guy before hiring he cant be trusted and even though he has advertisements offering coupons he wont honor them.

Paulos crews might do quality work, but Ill never know. The owner is so unreliable and unprofessional, I would never again seek their services. I requested an estimate for a residential project. After receiving an initial quote, we agreed on a date to start the job. On multiple occasions, I was personally assured by the owner (or one of his employees) that equipment would be delivered and the work would commence. They never showed up. Not once. More importantly, they never bothered to let me know they would not arrive at the date and time promised. In every instance, I had to track them down after they failed to do what they had promised. It took days to get any type of response. If youre looking for empty promises, Paulos your guy. If you want someone to do what they say theyre going to do, save yourself the time and frustration; look elsewhere.

I first met Paulo last year when I foolishly tried cutting down my own tree. Things didnt go well and I called on him with zero notice to come bail me out of a bad situation. He was here in a flash and remedied the situation quickly. Lesson learned, when i needed to clear another bunch of trees from around the house, I called him back. He gave me a very fair price and was back to complete the work within a week; even during a very busy time of Spring clean up. He has a large, very well-trained team of men who know their stuff. As other reviews have mentioned, theyre efficient and very tidy, cleaning up as they go along. Paulo stopped in to check on them, make sure that they did everything we had agreed on, and to ensure that I was happy with their work. They identified one additional tree which really had to come down and were able to get that done along with the rest of the original job. Cant say enough good about the company and the people. Just bought a small house in Branford with a tiny yard. There were two huge trees in the back yard very close to my house and my neighbors house. Paulos crew came in and took down both trees professionally and safely in one day. They cleared the yard and cleaned up nicely when done. I was very pleased with the price and the job done.

We had a large oak tree damaged in the freak thunderstorm/micro cell that came through Branford on 8/27. Our 90-ft tree was split more than 50% vertically through the trunk and was in danger of splitting completely and falling at any time. He gave us a fair price and scheduled his team to arrive early on Monday morning. The workers arrived on time and were extremely professional. Paulos crew cut down a 24 diameter hickory tree in my yard. Access was limited, there were other trees within 10 as well as a large rhododendron immediately below and a cedar tree close to the bucket and log removal trucks. High branches were carefully roped down without being dropped, no damage to adjacent trees and bushes, mats used to eliminate tire tracks, small branches chipped and removed and the entire site cleaned with blowers on completion of work. Great job!

I just used Paulos a second time for another round of work after the recent storm took down multiple trees. As before Paulo gave me a very fair price, compared to other quotes I received, and did a very large job in 1 and 1/4 days including chipping and removal of all branches, trunks, etc. His men cleaned up the area nicely. Paulo was very good about getting back to me despite what I know was tremendous demand for his services at that time. His men showed up on time and worked very efficiently. Hes a delightful fellow and very easy to work with. Outstanding service. First off Paulo arrived promptly to give me an estimate for removing a bunch of trees. I thought his price was very fair for the amount of work to be done. I did not have to wait too long to have the work done. He and his crew showed up on the scheduled day. They were very efficient and worked hard to take down many trees, all in one day. Compared to a previous company I had hired, these guys did much more work in much less time. In part, because they brought in 2 cherry picker type trucks so the workers didnt have to climb the trees but cut from the bucket and it went much more quickly than I had seen with other companies. They ground up most of the trees and hauled away the big pieces from one huge tree.They cleaned up well and were done by mid afternoon. Paulo was delightful to deal with and hes a straight shooter with a nice sense of humor. Im going to use him again for other projects and suggest you do to!

Guess we should have believed the other negative reviews because Paolo is completely unreliable! We have a very old Oak tree that needs to come down. He came out and spent at least a half hour here talking to us and gave a very competitive price. The tree is almost a danger to us and the house and he understood the importance of it coming down quickly. Well a month later and he has still not shown up! He said to let him know asap and he would put us on the calendar. Every time I called he said, Ill be there at the end of the week or next week. But, he never gave us a definitive date or put us on any calendar. Well after the third attempt, I am done and using another service. He is completely unreliable and unprofessional. Funny because his name is all over his truck, hats and shirts!

Very professional crew; we had 6 trees (some storm-damaged, others just old/dying) removed around our house in Hamden. The crew were very careful about protecting our backyard fence, temporarily removing segments as needed but always restoring it to make sure our dog was safely contained. They cleaned up all debris including leaves that dropped as they were working on a neighbors tree. We very much appreciated that Paulo didnt price-gouge when the tornado went through in August - the price he quoted was consistent with what weve paid for other companies at normal times, but 1/5 of what one of those companies quoted us right after Hurricane Isaias & the tornado.

We hired Paulo to take trees down and grind stumps after the North Haven and Hamden area had 2 micro burst tornados back to back this past Fall. I highly recommend Paulo and Paulo landscaping. We had an enormous maple tree in front of our 1740 home and near the road. There were chains attached and grown into the tree which we were not aware of. Paulo and his men made the job look like a pc of cake. He was always on the job lst thing in the morning and during the day to be sure everything was running smoothly. The wood was hauled away and the yard cleaned. All of the men had safety gear on and he presented me with a certificate of insurance immediately. I went on to have more trees removed. I would highly recommend Paulo Landscaping.

Completely unreliable!Texted several times about fall clean up at my father s. My father is not capable of doing the lawn himself. Paulo s kept pushing back the dates and hasn t returned my texts or calls.

Pauli s tree service, gave a good estimate on the tree removal. He told me it would be 5 days. He said he would call me and let me know. I never got a call. I called him twice, he then told me his crew was here yesterday. Nobody came I was home at the time he gave. He then said he would check and call me back. NO CALL WAS RECEIVED. Came by and gave us and our neighbors quotes for quite bit of work to be done. They never showed. Called them several times, each time received a returned call with promises of coming over. Again, they never showed. Maybe they were once good, but now they are unreliable.

I have to admit I agree with the reviewer before me. I actually have given this guy work in years past upwards of $100,000 so you would think that when I called I would get a legitimate response. Not the case! For the past 6 weeks Ive asked Paulo to come to my house to do some tree removal and landscaping to which he responded Ill be there tomorrow. Never showed, then he asked me to call him Saturday morning at 9am and he will come then, did that no answer... I git a hold of him two days later where he explained he forgot his son had a soccer game. He rescheduled for the following Saturday and what do you know...no show. This went on like this for weeks every-time there was a tragedy or forgotten appointment or just plain ignoring calls.Bottom line forget what he once was he is now just an unreliable, unprofessional, liar. Be prepared to be frustrated and lied to if you are foolish enough to choose this company. BEWARE!!!

Paulo and his crew did an especially good job in removing over a dozen trees on my property. On large tree with several trunks was in a location next to a storage shed that required special care in its removal. The way that this tree was taken down was truly amazing. I contacted Paulos Landscaping because I had a few large trees that died on my property. I met with the owner (Paulo) and immediately I knew we were in good hands! They removed any dead trees, trimmed over 30 other trees that had been neglected over the years, and also did some wonderful landscaping and planted other trees for us. They were prompt and professional, and I would recommend them to my friends and family!
