I called LawnSatrter in hopes to find someone to mow my lawn. They get your under contract right away with three mows. No one showed up and now I will need to cut my own lawn. I consider their contract null and void on their end. They need to reimburse me the money they charged my account for no one showing up. I don't recommend it.
If you would like to have a different pro every 10 days (because weekly seems to be a challenge to achieve), this may be the service for you. If you like your yard hacked into by people who don’t have credentials or even a business license, this is the company for you. I have had 4 different pros in 4 cuts this year. The first one tracked their lawn mower through my neighbors yard. The second one was great! But he couldn’t make it back and had to forfeit the job. The next guy was good but also could not make it back. This last experience is really what took it to another level. They showed up in a car, and pulled the mower out with a weedwacker. They did NOT have a blower so they used the lawn mower to blow clippings. They created bald patches with their lack of knowledge in mowing. They moved the trash cans (it’s trash day) and weed wacked the area rather than mowing. Absolutely terrible. I was offered $15 for a credit when clearly they paid these two who did the dirty work a solid $15 worth of work. The one worker stood close near the house, who’s to say if she wasn’t surveying. This company needs to vet the small businesses they contract to do the work because this last one was potentially on drugs and made my lawn look bad. Just find a company yourself, as it’s about the same price and MOST actually have insurance and such.
We have been using LawnStarter this summer and have had the same gentlemen cut our grass every week. We were on a bi-weekly service until now. Earlier this week we were notified our regular guy was not available and a new worker came out. This new guy filed a "long grass" fee of $52 dollars. We brought our concerns to customer service who denied helping us. They replied that our grass was longer than 6" so the fee would be upheld. They said it must have grown more than usual so hence the fee. Our front and back yards are not large. They don't bag the cut grass so it goes everywhere. Dude didn't leaf blow the cut grass off of our sidewalk or drive way. Not very professional and won't be recommending in the future! They just seem like a money-grab with poor customer service.
The first few mowings were fine. They progressively just got worse and worse though and less of my yard has been being taken care of the last few services. You will also still be charged when your lawn is mowed unnecessarily or when they do a poor job. The best they can do is offer $15 or to send the crew back. Specifically in this case, my lawn was mowed a week before it was even scheduled for. In other words, an unnecessary service was charged and no I do not need a crew to come back for something that didn’t need to happen. All I can do is request a $15 dollar credit. This would be less frustrating if the last few services weren’t so poor. That’s on me for not documenting the prior poor experiences. However, I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere because at the end of the day, they do not care if you are happy with your lawn.
I have had the pleasure of working with Ron and Judy at LawnStarter. Ron has always showed up when scheduled and done a great job. There was one incident where the app messed up a lawn service date and removed a service I had scheduled with Ron and switched "My Crew" to Judy. Judy was FANTASTIC! She is so kind and worked me into her very busy schedule. Her and her crew worked until ever after dark to make sure they would get the job done. She even messaged me the day after to offer to come back again to ensure I was happy with my service. I would absolutely work with either one of these guys again!!
I had a terrible experience with lawn starter. It seems as though they just throw anyone out there as a crew. I'm not sure these people know about grass and lawns. They didn't know the difference between weeds and flowers. They did not take care of the items that they moved IE they broke a lawn sprinkler. Very dissatisfied as they cut the grass too short. Grass can't be too short otherwise it will burn and die.
App was nice. Difficult to contact customer care due to wait times. Website leads you to believe that your can get a single service, you can't. Service was quoted at $200 for a smallish yard, which is fine the grass was long but then I was left in the air with rescheduling. Felt bait and switched. Bad feelings. I'm out.
Yesterday was our second service from Jason at LawnStar Lawn Care Service and I have to say that I am extremely pleased with our service and quality that we have received! I saw a posting from a neighbor on NextDoor and decided to check them out. I was contacted by the office and received a fair quote for our size yard and for the services requested. Jason took great care of our lawn, used the blower to clear off our patio and walkways and left our home looking great! I would highly recommend LawnStar to my friends and neighbors!
They never showed up for my service and didnt even tell me. To try to do anything, they want you to download their app and sign up to do anything with the services. Very frustrating and disappointing.
This was a great option. I got behind on keeping my lawn mowed my son normally does it but was injured from football practice and it was left to me. They came in and cut the grass for me!!!
Great service. Easy to schedule.
Awesome service
