Heartland Lawns in Omaha

We have used Heartland Lawns for years for different services and we couldn t be happier with the results and customer service provided by Heartland Lawns! We definitely recommend!

I am so disappointed in Heartland lawns. My husband is a disabled veteran and I have knee issues which makes it really hard to walk on uneven surfaces. I signed up for the aerating for our lawn last winter. They aerated last year and never said anything about having to flag the sprinklers. So I called and they told me if they weren t flagged and they broke something they were not responsible for fixing it. She talked to a manager and he said they would charge $30.00 to come out and flag. There are trucks in our neighborhood all the time. We have had Heartland do everything on our yard since we built our house. I told them I would not be renewing their service then and she was fine with it. Doesn t seem like they care about anything but making money not about the customer. Also told them I wanted a refund for what I paid them for aerating. Believe me I will talk to all my neighbors and I will find someone else to take care of my lawn next year.

Heartland lawns is great! Their fertilization program is above and beyond and if you see some weeds or fungus in your yard you get free service calls! I would highly recommend this company for anyone who wants their lawn looking amazing! Also, the customer service people are very friendly and will help you schedule service calls if needed. Curret services I use are aeration/overseeding and their 6 step lawn care program.

Beware of this yard service !! They are spraying poison on your trees without first checking to see whether your trees even have bugs. Many birds live in the trees. And poison is bad for the trees too To unnecessariy spray poison on your trees is a waste of money and is dangerous to your trees and our whole environment

Heartland Lawns has transformed the lawn and landscape since we moved into our home 8 months ago. They do the fertilizing, weed control, bug control, sprinkler system and fall /spring clean-up. They have installed trees, perennial plants, fixed the sand box with a new liner with real play sand and updated our 2 outdoor fountains to enhance the style of our home with a natural water design. We even had them install our homes outdoor Christmas lights ! In January they took them down and stored them for us ! Before the holidays they will be back to re-install them !! How easy is that !!! All of their teams have been easy to work with and very professional. You cant go wrong with Heartland Lawns !

Heartland did a landscaping project for our neighbors. During this time, they drug equipment and materials through our grass area between the sidewalk and street. Unfortunately, a once healthy green area is now brown. Were left to remedy the situation and hope the grass will recover. Just asking for a little consideration for the adjoining neighbors when youre working on a project.

We ve had nothing but great experiences with Heartland. Courtney today was especially courteous and very knowledgable with the questions I had. Highly recommend this company.

Heartland Lawns does a great job in all areas. I get a courtesy call a few days before an application so I can prepare my yard, the employees are always friendly, and the product itself is great. I have been a client of Heartland Lawns now for several years, switching years ago from a National Company because of the way I was treated. With Heartland, they are professional, friendly and listen to the questions of their clients. The tech s are efficient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend DJ, who has been applying the applications now for three seasons. He his super friendly and listens to my questions and takes care of my lawn, like he owns it. I don t think there is a better person working with customers than DJ. If I were to give any negative critique, it would be that if you write a check to them, as I do since I m still old school, is that it isn t cashed in a timely manner. I love the lawn fertilizer treatments from heartland lawns. For years I thought I could do my own fertilizer/grass seed and get the same results. Sadly, the fertilizers I bought from big box just never accomplished the job, I didn t appply them correctly or they were applied at the wrong times. Heartland takes the guess work out of everything. My lawn looks great. No more dandelion, nut sedge, or bare spots. They call a day or two before to let me know they re on the way out. It gives me enough time to pick up after my dog to be ready. I wish I would have contacted them years ago, it would have saved me money

Ive used several lawn services over the years, from small local shops (Steves, which is the absolute worse) to national firms. By far, and I mean BY FAR, Heartland Lawns is the very best. Ive been a customer for several years now and the improvement Ive seen in my lawn is nothing less than spectacular. I have 2 adult daughters who are married, own their own homes and live locally. For the past 3-4 years my wife and I have purchased Heartlands yearly service as a Christmas present for them. They too are extremely pleased with the results. If you are a parent or grandparent and struggle to purchase meaningful presents over the holidays, this is wonderful present. Heartland brings friendly customer service and excellent products to your yard. I highly recommend them!

Almost exactly 1 year ago a different lawn care company did a treatment on yard. The front yard as well as the 2 side yards were okay, however what they applied to my back yard made it burn. The whole back yard had turned yellow and was dead just 2 days after whatever they sprayed on it!!! I was so upset so I started calling other lawncare companies to come out and advise what could be done to fix it. The man who came out from Heartland Lawns took a great deal of time explaining to me what most likely happened and what they could do to fix it. I agreed, but wasnt expecting it to look as good yet this year already. I doesnt look as good - IT LOOKS BETTER than it did before! I am so pleased and happy I went with HEARTLAND LAWNS!! They were even kind enough to give me a senior citizen discount on the work they did! Their employees are knowledgeable and respectful and dont get upset or mind if I ask them questions. There are at least 8 other neighbors I noticed with the Heartland Lawn care signs in their yard too. I have such a beautiful neighborhood thanks to Heartland Lawns.

However, after making a phone call to Hartland Law, my yard is now the talk of the town. Even Trump and Biden have praised it, saying that it is proof that the American dream is real. Kendrick Lamar and Drake ended their beef the moment they saw my lawn, and even collaborated on a track that is soon to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NFL players are now using my yard as an example to owners of why real grass is better than fake. I am extremely grateful to Hartland Law for their amazing work which has made the world a better place, all for a very reasonable price.

Very fair lawn care at a competitive price. Straight forward customer service in recommending what they think will help and offering extra services but not pushing product down your throat. We do the basic package and I don t have to worry about anything except watering and mowing. We had a pretty thin lawn so I did the double over-seed and aeration they recommended and it turned out great. Going to continue to use them for the near future.

Easy to setup everything and my lawn is pretty good when compared to last year. I tried to do it by myself but couldnt handle it with the size of lawn and started getting more weeds. But with the heartland lawn service with in few months all weeds got controlled and lawn looks pretty healthy. Definitely would recommend to any one .

I moved into a new house and the yard was horrible and in need of much love. Contacted Heartland for an estimate and they came out the next day. Rick Ahrendsen was great and didn t try to oversell me and take advantage. He came up with a plan and educated me on the best course of action. My yard is already improving and excited to see the full results.

Any issue is handled immediately by the office staff, the applicators are always on schedule for the day of application and they do a great job in removing dry fertilizer from the drive and sidewalks. Weve been using Heartland for several years now for fertilizing our lawn throughout the year and weve been pretty happy with the results. Our lawn was full of weeds when we moved in, and weve seen a dramatic reduction in weeds since Heartland started treating the lawn. They come regularly and always leave helpful notes about how to care for the lawn after applying a treatment. Prices are very fair, and they havent missed a service.

My husband and I didn t know anything about grass and we had a lot of silly questions to ask. After using Trugreen for a couple of seasons and not being happy with the results (charged for applications that were never done & walks not being blown off) we decided to try Heartland. We are into our 2nd season with them, and I have to say, they have been and continue to be the BEST! When we 1st signed up, we had one application and then decided to move. They transferred our service and continued without any glitch or issue. Zac is the gent that comes out and is always happy to talk if I have questions and is top notch with what he does. I am called a couple days prior to each visit letting me know and the call is always extremely pleasant and very personable. If you need lawn care or are unhappy with other services, it is my opinion that Heartland should be your go to...call today...youll be happy you did.

Weve been homeowners for decades and over the years have tried several lawn care companies. Weve been with Heartland Lawns for over 8 years and have been so pleased with their services, both their lawn care and their customer service. Our lawn has never looked better. We appreciate the information/instructions provided with each application. When weve had problems with occasional weeds, all we have to do is call and they respond promptly with no additional charge. Ive recommended Heartland Lawns to several friends and family, and I know theyre pleased with their service as well!

Getting signed up with Heartland was a painless experience thanks to Dustin, Im excited to use their services this summer.

You can see the pictures. This is after three years with them. They make no outward attempt to address these issues. I had to ask them to take care of what are very obviously weedy areas and even then they didnt do anything about them until mid-August.

Customer service is outstanding; always polite and friendly, and very proactive in updating you on service appointments. Sneaky company that only cares about money and not customer service. I felt like they did a fair job of lawn service but when I had a dispute their true colors came out and they only care about fleecing customers. I love that they lost hundreds of dollars every year over a $34 balance. Be careful if you put any special requirements on your account for animals cause they will ignore them and say its your fault and accept no blame. For the average service you get for the lawn its not worth the headache.

This company used to provide a good service. They raised their rates last year and for whatever reason the quality plummeted. I ve had them come back multiple times in the past 2 years due to whatever they applied to lawn had no effect on weeds and in fact the weeds seemed to thrive on whatever they put down. The final nail in the coffin for this dumpster fire of a company was when they aerated my lawn last month and they absolutely destroyed my lawn. I ve had my lawn aerated multiple times and they absolutely tore up half my lawn. On top of that I had some bare spots on my north side of house and noticed that the whole north side didn t even get seeded. Not a one seed on that side so I ended up seeding it myself due to this company inept capabilities.3rd they got too close to one of the sprinkler heads. When I got home the first thing I did was turn on each zone and I noticed one of my heads was shooting low. Upon looking at the situation I saw the sprinkler head was a good inch below grade. No worries I wasn t going to hold my breath for these Yahoo s to do something about it so I dug it up and repacked my soil and got it flush with the grade of my lawn. Called them and explained my frustration and they said that someone would be in touch soon to resolve issues. I waited a week and a half and no call. I called them of course because why would they bother following up. They said they were out 3 days after I called and said basically for me to pound sand and they weren t going to do anything or even acknowledge anything. I couldn t see them on any of my 6 cameras on my property so I know they are full of it once again.I already made my mind up that I m finding a new company to take care of my lawn at that point but I paid for the year and had 1 application left. So I naively decided to let them apply it.Their not so bright service techs proceeded to trounce over my newly seeded grass areas. I had a big area that I hand removed weeds that they let build up and seeded. You literally couldn t miss it. They whipped up and down the newly seeded area as fast as could be with their spreader. The areas was already dense from me watering to promote growth and yet their inept techs couldn t assess the situation. You either avoid the area or if you need to go through the area then slow the heck down and go slow. I got home that evening and as you can assume was shocked at the lack of care of my lawn. I then called them and left a message but it was late and they were closed. I called them on a Friday and they called me back on Monday. They said the service manager would be in touch with me within the next 48 hours. Well Thursday came and I called them. They said they would be calling me shortly. They finally called on Friday but at that point I repaired the damage they caused because I gave up all hope in them doing the right thing. I told Kevin don t worry about I ve taken care of it. As if he had any intention of doing the right thing. At that point they knew I was canceling my service. At the end of the day stay away from this company. Find a small company that actually takes care of your lawn and treats you with respect and doesn t treat you like a number or dollar sign. I spent over $1400 on my lawn this year and I expect them to provide a good service for that but I guess if you choose this company to take care of your lawn you should lower your expectations. Update: In response to companies response- I gave you every opportunity to make it right. You didnt care then and you dont care now. Your just trying to save face. It took you almost 6 months to even respond to this review. That should let people know exactly how much you care.

I have used heartland lawn for years, but will no longer be using them for our lawn care. Unbeknownst to me, their rule of thumb is previous clients are automatically renewed each year for the same services without first confirming that the customer actually wants to renew. I have always called ahead of time. We had a lawn guy here treating the lawn 2 weeks ago without our knowledge or permission - before winter was even finished. When I called customer service to tell them how unhappy I was I received a voicemail back with nothing but attitude, never mind on the apology, stating that I would still need to pay for the services that were provided - even though I didn t request them. Within a day of that voicemail, the $69 was automatically deducted from my checking account - so they must have still had my card information on file and gone ahead and processed without giving me the heads up. Go figure, it snowed the very next day, so I m really not sure what I paid for exactly. In my opinion, this is incredibly unprofessional and therefore I will no longer be using this company.

They never did our other house but we re charging us. We tried to explain this to them but for a year they didn t want to hear it. Finally got someone there to listen. They pulled address and found they were doing the wrong house. Place seems to be like all the rest of those companies

Was not told up front about some charges. When I questioned it was never mentioned they told me it was my problem I was upset over 7 dollars. The point is it was never discussed then to be condescending was the end. I would encourage people to check elsewhere. Which I have and prices were half!! Period. They are beyond rude and unprofessional

Our lawn needed some major help, and Heartland came highly recommended from family friends. They came out right away and our lawn looked better immediately. Im excited to see it continue to improve with Heartland Lawns.

I had my mother cancel this service... she did not even know what she was paying for because of all their charges and extras they were adding in... Over the years, the quality of worker this place hires has gone down hill and it shows in their work. I do not know who does their hiring there anymore but they must line-up outside of the correction facility as people are released to give them jobs. It is a very unprofessional, underwhelming, very poorly ran company anymore and there are way better out there to use. Trust me, we found one and it was a night and day difference compared to this trash I mean lawn service......

One of their staff noticed we had baby bunnies in our front landscape. They left a little dish of water for them, and left us a note letting us know. I am super pleased with my first Heartland Lawns irrigation experience. Kasey, our irrigation technician just finished moving and fine tuning our sprinkler heads. He was on time, efficient, and detailed in communicating the work he would complete. He worked around our dog fence wiring with care, and now has our system working like new. I have been using Heartland Lawns for 3 years now. I am very happy with their service. I found some bare spots in my lawn that I thought I should check with them. I sent a photo of the area. I had an immediate response via phone and email with what they suspect it might be. They will be coming out free of charge to treat the area. I think of them as providing fertilizer and weed killer and had forgotten that they will provide full service care for many different issues.

We had a new sprinkler line installed in our backyard, as well as had some sprinkler heads moved. We also had the Hydrawise system installed so we can control our sprinklers through the app. Kasey and the team were very thorough and communicated everything that they were doing. They answered all of our questions and made sure we understood how the app works. They were delayed in the morning due to heavy rain and they stayed until the job was finished. I would highly recommend Heartland Lawns for all of your lawn care needs.

Heartland Lawn fertilized my neighbors lawn and got way too much fertilizer on my west lawn which I already fertilized two weeks ago. Now my west lawn has too much fertilizer and might burn in this huge heat wave. They should not be fertilizing right before a big heat wave. Not only did they get fertilizer on my lawn but also on half my driveway! They did not bother to clean it up or blow off the excess fertilizer. They just left it there. Thankfully, I say it the same day and used my blower to get it off my sidewalk and driveway. They did not even clean up their customers sidewalk and driveway. Very poor execution and the company has not indicated that they would be more careful in the future.

Had some work done on my drip line, and the tech was very professional and took care of the two leaks in a very short amount of time. They also called and moved up my appointment because of cancelations which worked out perfectly with the hot weather coming.

Just called them the other day to set up fall aeration and over seed and they were very helpful and received a follow up email right away explaining what I needed to do in the next month or so to have the service done.

I have been using them for the last 2 years. Lawn care and sprinkler maintenance. My yard has always looked amazing and anytime I had an issue with weeds they were out the next day to spray. I had some work done in my backyard and had to have a sprinkler head moved and replaced and when they came out to inspect they actually recommended where to place them to get the best coverage. Great service from the technicians all the way to the office staff.

Wonderful business, we have used them for lawn care, landscaping, and irrigation. Our landscaping was excellently planned out with scrubs, berm, trees, rocks and rock edging. Including underground watering system to all plants, Beautifully done. Our lawn is manicured with the best lawn care, green and no weeds as we are on the 6 step program. Highly recommend this program. We take care of our sprinkler system with Heartland, summer checkups, adjusting heads so all areas are covered and then again in the fall with winterizing. All the experts in each area are so knowledgeable and answer all our questions. Thank you Heartland Lawns.

Im reasonably literate dealing with computer and electronics, but totally unfamiliar with controller and inept programing my sprinklers. After adjusting my programmer I ended up with system running twice in succession. Called Heartland who had a technician interrupt his schedule and stop by to correct the program. He did so in a matter of minutes and showed me correct procedure. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

We had a lawn bubble due to a different company using the wrong parts for our sprinkler install. Heartland was able to get Zach out the next day to take a look. He was able to repair the issue and made adjustments to other sprinkler issues as well! He explained the issues clearly and was honest and straightforward. Zach is the kind of employee that every company wants representing them!!! I would highly recommend Heartland s sprinkler/irrigation team!!!!

Just canceled future services with Heartland. 2 years in a row now Ive had crabgrass take over a significant portion of my lawn which is now choking out what started out to be a good looking lawn. This is going to end up costing me even more money with reseeding etc. Honestly, I never had this issue when I just bought bags of fert/chem from the big box stores. Im giving 2 stars because the employees (calling or techs) are always very friendly, however smiles dont help my lawn. Heading off to mow my weeds now.

I am amending a previous review, I think with like all large companies, the mere customer seems small and insignificant anymore. I have been paying this company for years to do the chemical program to my yard. This year is the first year I added on aeration and sprinkler winterization. This year when I get the call that they are coming out, the timeframe is far less accurate and much of the time they just show up whenever so I dont get a chance to put my dogs away. They also they leave the invoice and recommendations attached to my door that seem like monthly robotic recommendations. For example, set mower height and water more. I already do both and it should be apparent. My favorite one is the recommendation to dethatch which I did before the appointment. I think the thing that forced me to amend this review the most was aeration this year. They had a guy do my back yard with a Ryan aerator which is the norm for a .25 acre size lot I have, but the guy doing the front yard used a far too large of a machine to do the job and my front yard looked like a war zone after he was done. I think this company is trying to specialize in too many things poorly instead of a few things wisely. I guess next time I will hire an aeration company to aerate and a sprinkler company to winterize.

Fires employees for absolutely no reason besides a he said she said and didnt even give people the chance to talk like adults. Would NEVER recommend working here because who knows when or why they will let you go.

Time to move on to another company for lawn care due to Heartland Lawns and their disappointing customer service and disregard for customers time. They called me over a week ago to schedule my winterization, and I was told someone would be here between 8 AM and noon. So, I planned my day accordingly because I was told someone would need to be here when they arrived. When they didnt show up by noon, I had to call them three times to get someone to answer my call. Once they answered, I was told someone would be on their way later today - they could not give me an exact time. It is now way past the noon hour, so I have wasted my entire morning waiting for someone to show up. Earlier in the summer, I scheduled a mid-season sprinkler check for 8 AM and was told that I would be the first job for the day. Again, I was told someone would need to be home when they arrived. So, I took the morning off work and sat here waiting. I called to see where the guy was shortly after 9 AM and was told he was about an hour out because he had other jobs ahead of me. We have continued to use Heartland Laws because the service has been impeccable in previous years. Clearly, scheduling is not their forte. If you don t have time to waste waiting on them to show up for scheduled service, that they don t show up to do, call another company. That s what I ll be doing.

I had high hopes for Heartland, as the designs were promising, but we had installation issues. Our rock base fence looked like it was drunk, plant designs in beds were planted back-to-front, and a large tree was implanted root-bound and branches starting dying its second year. Heartland only had a one year warranty and offered to sell me another tree at cost but with no warranty. I cannot recommend Heartlands work.

Did not provide 2 services I paid for last year, told them I didnt want them in November, after calling multiple times prior to determine why services were not provided. Then auto enrolled me this year and billed for services, even though I canceled last year.

Decided to give these guys a try coming from another lawn care company. Had them come and do a double aeration and over seed. The staff is very friendly and prices are competitive. My only concern was I paid for a double aeration and while they did multiple passes in my front yard with a big ride on aerator, in the back they only did a single pass (north/south) with a walk behind aerator. I called and they mentioned something about double the tines, but then why did the big machine do multiple passes in front and why do I have more plugs on the ground in the front compared to the back? The previous lawn company used the ride on aerator and did both north/south and east/west with it. Kind of disappointed as the back is what needed the extra aeration. Lesson learned, will just do the single aeration next time and save the money. Makes me hesitant to try their lawn care program and if they will deliver what is paid for. Which I suppose is a risk you take with any lawn care company. UPDATE: Called to get an estimate to move a sprinkler head and fix a valve. The girl on the phone said it would be $100 to have someone come out, when right on their website it says free estimates. They clearly dont care about doing actual work but rather just want to make their quick money tossing fertilizer down and turning sprinkler systems on and off.

I dont need a lawn service right now but when I do Im using them! They were working down the street and one of the young men saw me struggling with getting strollers and 3 littles into the car and took the time to come over and ask if he could help. I was so touched by his care and concern and was amazed at the professional manner and personal touch he had. Whoever you are, thank you!!!

Heartland Lawns has the most respectful people working for them. Every person who has been at our home has been very helpful and respectful. We have seen huge improvements with our lawn as well that wasnt taken care of prior to us moving in.

I highly recommend this lawn company. I moved to my home last Juy and the yard was nothing but weeds. No grass. Now my yard is all thick beautiful grass.

They do ok work really well

Part of my HOA dues. Most certainly would not use them if I had a choice. I ve literally pulled bags and bags of dandelions, crabgrass and spurge. Plus they ve consistently stained my driveway.

The guys at Heartland Lawns are great .. we have been using them for years for our yard chemical applications but they did a landscape / outdoor lighting project for us this summer... they did a fantastic job !!

I wanted to have my weeds and crabgrass under control so I hired Heartland Lawns to treat my grass in 2021. After having them complete their 6 step service last year I called to let them know I was unhappy with the amount of weeds I still had. They said I needed to have the treatment for at least 2 years before I see the effects. I gave them another year and here we are almost 2 years in and my grass probably looks the worst on the block. My crabgrass is so out of control. I have called multiple times this year and they come out and spray again and it comes right back. Then they tried to tell me that the crabgrass is out of control due to the dry conditions! I am tired of hearing excuses! I called to cancel and asked them to waive my last bill of 63 dollars and they said they would have someone come back out to treat the grass again. I said no as I have given them 2 years to make my lawn look good and it hasnt happened. I DO NOT recommend this company at all as I have paid well over $700 and my yard looks awful! I will take care of my grass from this point forward as I am very UNHAPPY with this company! Find someone else to treat your grass if you are looking !!

Went with them based on others telling me good things, I haven t had the same luck. I call to get a repair scheduled (that they had already fixed this year) they say my problem sounds urgent and they will call me back to have the tech schedule right away. No call back. I call again to get scheduled, they say they will have a tech call in 30 minutes. He calls hours later and says we are 3 weeks out, I d just turn the water off if I were you. I explained that I work out of town so that isn t possible to do. He says ya we fixed that earlier this year but if we have to do it again, it s gonna be REALLY expensive! I said ok, well I need it to be done and he said they would call to schedule. I still haven t heard from them.

Tried to charge me $100 for an estimate to see how much it would cost to get a sprinkler system installed if they have to charge for an estimate it tells me they are overcharging for the system and nobody is using them to install a sprinkler system.

After being a faithful customer for many years I had an issue with Heartland Lawns aerating my lawn. Their customer service is poor. I will be using a new lawn service

It is too bad because I wanted to like the full service management but the scheduling is a problem. They flagged my yard for aeration then cannot be out for 2 weeks. So am I not supposed to mow the lawn for 2 weeks? Plus we are getting several weeds and I have had multiple trees die. I expressed my concern and there was no answer but I am sorry. There was no effort incoming up with a mutually beneficial solution, they seemed to be ok if we moved our business elsewhere. I did not feel like a valued customer.

A neighbor is using Heartland Lawns for a project. Today they had trouble turning around in front of my house and needed to unload a bobcat to get their truck/trailer unstuck from the landscaping rocks in my neighbors yard. They knocked over a woodpile on my property when unloading the bobcat. Unfortunately, they drove off ignoring the mess they had left behind. I went down to the job site to let them know I had watched the whole thing. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right before posting a negative review if I had to restack the wood myself. Guillermo came right away and stacked the wood for me. He apologized for his coworkers. I want to give him a special shout out for cleaning up the mess they others had left.

I was a customer for three years with no problem. Suddenly this year they can t figure out how to come by and do a simple application. They scheduled it and then canceled it three times. Each time they screwed it up, nobody bothered to call. When I finally called the company to find out what was going on, it took multiple attempts to finally reach someone I finally connected with the owner Dan who arranged to have the guys come by one more time and once again they Didn t show up. Instead of making it right, he said he has no control over his crew? Said he appreciates me as a customer this isn t gonna work out? evidently retaining customers isn t as important as his staff deciding when and where they are going to work

I don t know what company turns people down, but they definitely said they aren t accepting anymore customers?? I guess that s how business become successful right?

I reviewed this company about 1.5 to 2 years ago. Gave them 5 stars because I was seeing improvement. But alas I have to change it because it never got any better than that. I used a national chain lawn servicer in the past but never saw much improvement for the money. A few years went by and I decided to try again with a local company. After consideration I decided on heartland lawns. Great reviews and a guarantee. They told me a good lawn will take time. I understand. The first year was only about 3 treatments by the time I started using them, and with that I did see some improvement. So I was happy. But it never got any better. That fall I paid for aeration and over seeding. They said I should do it in early fall so the new grass would establish. Makes sense. By the time they came to do it we had snow within the week and cold temps. I did complain and they came out and seeded the bare spots so I was happy. But it never seemed to fill in. It was a dry year but I watered as much as I could. So this would be year 3. Had my first treatment and was gonna give them one more year to make improvement. Then I went to my cousins house. His lawn blew mine away. I asked who is his lawn service. He said ME! So you do your own lawn care!? Why am I paying for it!? So heres what makes me the most upset. I called and said Im thinking of cancelling my service. Thinking they would want to make it right. Nope. They did ask why I was cancelling and I told them Im not seeing results. She said ok. Ive cancelled your service. No, can we make it right, no, could we come over and discuss, just ok thanks bye. I see all these pics from this company of all these gorgeous lawns, thats all I wanted. After spending around $800 total over the years. Never got there.

They do an outstanding job. My yard is weed free. And they will come spot spray.

I handled the chemical applications for my yard for years before I called Heartland Lawns. Since then my lawn is greener and more lush, with fewer weeds than it ever was. Easy to work with. Not a lot of sales calls (if any). Tell them what you want, and they do it. I have recommended them to all of my neighbors.. after they asked me what I had changed!

Oustanding customer service.

We used Heartland several years ago with good success. We then moved and decided to do our own fertilizing. We eventually got tired of that so we switched back to Heartland, even though a few friends had said they had gone down hill lately. Our lawn looked terrible this summer. They said it was a rough year due to weather, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. I called to set up aerating and over seeding. They said to call back right before I was ready and they d give me a 2-3 day window. I called today and they said they aren t able to take new requests because of lack of workers. I explained that this wasn t a new request but it didn t matter. I asked if there was someone else they could recommend and they said Not at this time. I canceled my service with them. We will either find someone else or go back to doing it ourselves since it looked better anyway.

Requested to have aeration for a specific week when I requested the service. Was given a date, no one showed. When I called to see when it might occur it was two weeks after what was communicated. No offer was made to be flexible even though they couldn t keep their commitment. Nor did they notify me it would be later.

This is my first year using Heartland Lawns. Until today, I have been very pleased with their service. Today however, they aerated my lawn. They used a large riding aerator. There were numerous areas that did not get aerated, apparently due to the size of the machine. They had two walk behind machines on the trailer, but did not get them out to get the smaller areas. I am particularly disappointed because I have had my yard aerated for 20 years by a person I hired that used a hand machine, but Heartland did the worst job of all and charged more than any other person I have used in the past.

On the pricier side but they are the best in town when I comes to their step program. Yard has never looked better and everyone is willing to take time to talk or walk through any questions.

They were wonderful until after they landscaped my back yard. When they had to replace a dead plant they gave me the wrong plant and then acted as if I were the one with the problem. They did not keep their part of the agreement we had!
