Juan, Javier and Kyle recently did everything I needed to make my yard look great, including relocating a jumbo rock, building new steps and installing a flagstone patio in my back yard. Kudos to this hard-working, capable crew of really nice men.

SunValley Landscaping has been doing a remarkable job on our property. They prepared beds and planted last fall. They educated us on watering. They have come back this spring and replaced plants that have underperformed. We have just hired them again to cut a few trees and create three more beds. We couldnt be happier with the communciation, fair price, and outcomes on our property. From sales through implementation, they are top of the line.

I shared with Ruely Ramos that I needed thin Flagstone for my neighbor. I am helping them fix a drainage problem. I picked a rock they would want but I couldnt get to it, to many heavy rocks around it. He was very, very understanding and helped me get the rock. I was very appreciative of his time and willingness to help me.

Thanks to Juan, Javier, and Joshua for some amazing landscaping work at our home, and thank you to Kyle for working through a hiccup with materials availability with ease! Due to our suppliers quarry change, the decorative rock I had previously placed around our home was no longer available. They were able to mix ours in with what was currently available and it looks fantastic. Excellent flagstone work and perfect edging with pavers as well. On top of the actual work, these dudes were super friendly and pleasant to have at our home for a few days. Well be scheduling again in the future for other backyard plans.

I ordered seven yards of dirt and topsoil mixed. The product was excellent! and The driver was great, professional and caring. He asked where I wanted it dumped and was able to get it placed perfectly in a compact pile. I ll be down and get some stones, next.

Called to have someone come and measure for river rock. And then just told me they werent interested in selling me rock or even giving me a price. Extremely rude. So I called Bill-Mar. They came over right away and are taking care of me. I guess me $2500.00 job isnt worth it for them.

We have used Sun Valley for several landscaping projects over the past years. Some of the projects involved digging a french drain, removing large areas of sod, laying down new sod, adding mulch, removing dirt, adding large boulders and rocks, adding landscaping rock, and planting many plants, bushes and trees. Our designer was Brittany Schultz and she was terrific! Very professional, knowledgeable, creative and always kept in contact with us regarding our project. After the project was completed we worked with Kris Heft in financing to arrange payment. Both Brittany and Kris are company people and they represented Sun Valley with pride and professionalism. We enjoyed working with both of these Sun Valley representatives. Now the negative stuff... We were very disappointed in some of the actual planting of many plants, bushes and trees. Spacing, alignment and plant depth were off in many areas. Some of the plants were not watered in after they were planted. The crew was personable but their training and performance was not up to the standard we had received in previous dealings with Sun Valley. Brittany and Kyle (a manager) made several visits to address our concerns. They wanted to make sure we were happy with the final results. Our project is finished, now all we have to do is water, water, water and watch the rabbits eat the plants that they are not suppose to eat. Thank you Sun Valley, Brittany, Kris and Kyle.

Their team has always been phenomenal! Weve had a couple fairly large residential projects completed over the past 2 years. They communicate, complete the job, and cover their warranty perfectly and on time. Thanks so much for the customer service and quality work. You guys are great!

We hired Sun Valley Lawns for our HOA in Anchor Pointe Villa neighborhood! They mowed for us the first time today and did an awesome job! They were very particular, friendly and professional! The edging of the lawns are the best we have ever had! Glad we hired them for the 2023 and 2024 contract.

I love this place, I was doing a large project in my backyard and came several times for rock, sand and various other materials. Every time I came, they were super friendly and very helpful. They were careful about how they loaded my trailer as far as keeping the weight bias correct and not damaging the trailer. These are really professional and nice people. By the way, the prices are really great too.

Price/value seemed decent, however, they failed at my spring cleanup, as shown below. They did discount my bill, but when they sent the crew back to fix it, they blew piles of leaves into my neighbors yard, resulting in complaints to me. I am glad they cancelled my services, but they did so without proper communication. Their communication was overall horrible. They were difficult to get response from through the entire process.

I came home from work after Tyrells team started working on mowing our lawn yesterday. I realized I hadnt been able to make it into the yard to pick up any leftover dog piles before they came. I went out after they left and it was all GONE. Im not sure if they picked up everything before they mowed, but our lawn was immaculate once the team left last night. Many kudos to the team who cares for our yard!

I went to Sun Valley Landscaping to purchase amended topsoil. What we got was topsoil mixed with compost that was full of weeds. Now we have a new flower bed covered with weeds. We recommend that you shop elsewhere for good amended topsoil. So far Lanaha has the best amended topsoil. A little more expensive but well worth it.

We went there to find flagstone for a walkway. We had a few questions while we were in the yard looking at all the wonderful pieces of stone. We were approached by an employee who stated his name was Frank. Frank was extremely helpful, professional, and answered every question we had. We have been to other places before, but Frank at Sun Valley made this experience pleasant and fun. We were not expecting to leave with any stones, but ended up bringing a few home. Thank you to Frank and all the employees at Sun Valley for the hard work and friendliness they all showed. We will definitely be back to purchase more items.

Everyone at Sun Valley is highly professional and great to work with. They replaced some old plants with beautiful new Coreopsis and Arizona Sun Blankets. The guys who planted were kind and worked hard in the 95 degree heat. A top notch job. I highly recommend.

We talked to several contractors for a backyard paver project. Although we decided not to do the project we wanted to share our experience with Hugh. Hugh was extremely professional, creative and detail oriented. He explained all the technical issues and was the only contractor that addressed repairing the lawn after the pavers were installed. Sun Valley would be our first choice if we decide to a landscaping project.

My Homeowners Association uses Sun Valley Landscaping for all lawn services and snow removal. They are awesome! Every service they provide is so professional . . . mowing, chemical applications, aerating, etc. Staff is amazing and pays attention to the smallest details. They dont hesitate to contact us when they have any question. We receive advance notifications for all scheduled services. They are terrific.

I recently started using these guys for a project that required unique Stones. Absolutely love their customer service and Joel in the yard has been an absolute help along the way. This is my fifth year in business building Retaining Walls and I will continue to use this company for specialty stones as well as aggregate and soil. Very good company

We had Sun Valley replace a 130 retaining wall. The work was done in a timely manner and the new wall looks great. Very pleased with work on the wall. We were able to resolve how one end of the wall was terminated to our satisfaction. We had communication issues with were to dump dirt from the old wall. A project foreman would have helped. We would use them again.

Was told over the phone crushed rock was $23 took 4 scoops and ended up with a bill of $165.. Never again!

The response and service I receive from Sun Valley is outstanding. My grass has never looked better and their team pays attention to detail. I also appreciate their advance notice of when they will be doing seasonal functions besides the regular mowing.

Sun Valley just installed mulch in all my plating beds and they have never looked better! They not only re-edged them, but they cleaned out all the leaves and debris that had accumulated over the winter and put own fertilizer/weed preventative. Could not be happier! Plus they are very responsive to calls and emails, unlike most places.

Great selection of natural rocks and other materials

The work performed was so bad; the irrigation system broke, the outside lights fell over in the wind, the walkway is unsafe/unusable, the plants fell over and died or just died, several trees died more trees appear to be dying too, the prairie grass looked like a weed patch, the gabion walls we not properly drained nor were they finished correctly; only later did we find out Sun Valley had never installed gabion walls before, the work was never completed, and after three separate walkthroughs Paul & Hugh did nothing but walk away leaving our property a mess! We have since spent tens of thousands of dollars fixing the mess Sun Valley left. Therefore, we filed a lawsuit against Sun Valley: PAUL FRAYND and HUGH MORTON d/b/a SUN VALLEY LANDSCAPING COMPANY filed in the County Court of Douglas County, Nebraska, Case No. CI 18-1512. A 1 Star is as low as you can go, but their rating should be -10!

Buyer be ware. I ordered 4-cubic yards of mulch to be delivered to my home $350. .Received around two-cubic yards. Called to talk to the manager, I got Ed. Ed told me he loaded 4-yards. I told Ed I ordered 2-yards last year, and it was MORE then he just delivered. Ed said he loaded 4-yards. Ed did say he would be happy to come out and pick it up for #150. Thanks Ed

I think Sun Valley is a top notch organization. From the point that I first spoke with Hugh, the designer, to the execution of the project they were professional in every way. Each time there was a problem they responded quickly to address. They also were very patient with my many questions that most contractors just get annoyed with. They exceeded my expectations in every way and I cant say enough words to encourage anyone else to use them for landscaping (we had a patio/firepit done).

Went to find a nice rock today and Tyler made sure we found just the right one:) his customer service skills are awesome and very Professional. This was are first time stopping in and we will differently be back :) Thanks again Tyler for all your help.

I had mowing service for about a month while my husband was deployed. Not only were they nearly a week late with the first mow, leaving my yard a jungle, but their quotes were incorrect. I was quoted $25 for spring clean up and I was charged $40. They claimed this was due to more work being required than initially thought. Maybe because my yard hadnt been mowed for two weeks, through no fault of my own? Also, the spring clean up was to include a hard edge around all flower beds. Not one of my flower beds, front or back yard, was hard edged. They also managed to mow down part of my rose bushes. They also neglected to include the military discount with every billing. Im not one to beg for a military discount, but hey, if youre going to offer it so I hire you over someone else, Ill take it. To not include in it every subsequent billing is careless at best or deceptive at worst. They also mowed again after our contract was up and I had hired a replacement mower, and sent me the bill, but at least they comped it when I brought this to their attention. However, they apparently didnt fix it in the system, so I just got a paper bill in the mail stating my bill is over due. Up until this point, I was annoyed, but not enough to write a review. Well, three screwed up bills later after only a month of service, I am sufficiently annoyed to write a review detailing my experience so that you might know what youre in for. Josiah was always plenty friendly on the phone and got the issues mostly dealt with, but they were issues that made me want to not work with this company any more. EDIT: After my review was posted here, Ashly (the Director of Business Development) did reach out to me to try to correct what was wrong. She offered to replace my damaged rose bush, but I declined as they are fairly large and any replacement would probably look worse than the current one that is missing a couple branches. She did state the the hard edge included in the spring clean up is only around hard surfaces like sidewalk and driveways, not flower beds. I will still say I never had the hard edge done around these in my yard either, as I dont really consider weed whacking along the edges of the sidewalk hard edging. She sent out some coupons to apologize for my billing errors, but it still took this review to have the issue looked into. Hopefully they got it figured out so it doesnt affect other customers.
