Brunos landscaping is family owned, second generation. We still follow Brunos philosophy mixed in with our own. DiRuggiero Earthscaping LLC, merged with Bruno years ago, and we service a vast amount of cities. For every category or project, we have, at this point, we have many pictures for every service we offer, with great projects we have done. That’s the best part of landscaping, enhancing customers properties and designing something out of nothing …. The end product is great, you leave your imprint for years all over….(ie) planting , hardscaping, new lawns , etc….
Mixed review - they did a good job with the mulching and weeding job they completed for me in Aug 2023, but I've had consistent problems with scheduling. The mulching job was delayed by a week twice, which really had my HOA breathing down my neck (I'd basically let my garden go to seed this year, yikes). A second, more expensive job in my backyard has been impossible to schedule - the owner kept asking me to text him reminders, and we're now weeks and weeks in. I get that the weather has been terrible. But a lot of this boils down to tone and customer service, I should not have to chase a business to pay them thousands of dollars. Happy to update if they ever call me, I told them I was still interested in the job if they got around to having time.
Dan took care of our landscaping and grass (we did sod) for this season. We love how our house finally looks complete and the shale looks perfect with our home. Also was completed in 3-4 days! Very happy with the final result
I had them come out on 3/26 to give me a quote on yard regrade and yard drains. I was told a few days for a quote and when I didn't receive it I sent an email. I was told they were behind and to give them until another day. I waited a few days after that day past and sent another email. I was told still behind on quotes. To this day I still haven't received a quote.
Great local company to work with! Met with Dan two months prior to installing my lawn to get a quote. They were reasonable and able to help keep us within our budget for installing a new lawn. Their crew was efficient and hard working. They worked on our yard all day until the job was done right made sure that we were happy with the work done. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new lawn installation and/or landscaping in general. They also work within a family of companies that also provided us with a lawn care plan for fertilization and further continued growth of our yard. Dan was very easy to work with and I appreciated all the hard work that they did for us. Give them a call if you're looking for any work done around your home.
I've worked with Bruno/Dan for 8 years or so. I was sad to see that Bruno retired, as he was the one landscaper who would always return your calls. Dan has been very reasonable and fair with me since he took over for Bruno. They laid down sod for my yard last fall and finished in the pouring rain. Dan even stopped by to make sure the job was done even with dealing with a personal situation he informed me about. I'll text Dan randomly about a question, and he always gets back to me. Dan's crew is also very good, and takes pride in their work. I would recommend them (and have) to others.
This is no longer run by Bruno. It's been handed down to a family member, Dan, who doesn't feel it's necessary to call when not showing for an appointment. TWICE he was a no call/no show. Sorry, but look elsewhere. Update in response to the owner (4/22): Dan, I'm not the first to complain about your lack of response, and per talking to Bruno, this seems to be too common. Waiting around twice with no contact is completely unprofessional, and I would think after doing this for so long you would have a better understanding of proper customer service. I've never heard of a landscaper being afraid of a little rain. I was walking around my property for nearly an hour in that rain with a light jacket waiting for you. Also, for the list you rattled off in your text message to me of everything you've done... you act like you were doing me a favor, however, you were PAID for the work. Like ANY other landscaper who would've accepted payment for a job. And that quality came from BRUNO staying on top of things to ensure 100% satisfaction. When he wasn't there, your folks were placing plants in the wrong places, and using my HOT water garage faucet to water the new plants (drained my hot water tank the last time you were out). You didn't hear about that because it was addressed with Bruno when he returned to the job site. The assessment was quite fair, and any additional defensiveness and excuses will be met with the same silence I heard while waiting for you to show.
Terrible communicators. Dan is the guy I dealt with. No call and no showed on two seperate occasions. If you can't show up for appointments or even call then I consider myself lucky they didn't do any actual work. Be accountable. Dan is the furthest thing from it. Which in turn makes Brunos look terrible as far as I'm concerned.
We are very pleased with the work that Bruno and his crew did with our landscaping. We weren't sure what to trim, what should be cut out entirely and what to add to enhance the beauty of the landscaping around our home. Bruno hit the ground running as he walked around our house, correctly identified every plant in the various gardens and made suggestions on what should be done to achieve "best landscaped house in the neighborhood." (That's my quote, not his.) He explained why he made certain suggestions - not just giving one of those, "Just take my word for it" lines to increase the cost of his services. We were pleasantly surprised when his quote was within $100 of the other quotes we got - but with the addition of a few more perks like the installation of two basement window wells. It is clear that Bruno loves what he does and does not take his customers for granted. He is one of an extremely rare breed of landscapers who actually answers his calls on his cell, and in one of those few times he didn't, he returned the call within a few hours. I wish people in all service industries were like that. Thank you so much, Bruno!
Highly recommend..
He did good job
They haven t been out but once during the last snowstorm and they did a very poor job on our side walk the mailman couldn t get to the mail to our mailbox I will definitely try to get them fired next year at the annual meeting of the HOA
Tried to get an estimate and Dan never even bothered. It used to be a lot different under the Bruno name. Sorry to see such a great company fall apart under new ownership.
They said if u buy materials 3them they repairs any damage for lifetime . But I am contacting owner 2019 spring they still not show up or fixed. Negative
HAD DAN COME OUT FOR A ESTIMATE AND TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO SEND ME A ESTIMATE FOR GRADING MY YARD. TWO WEEKS LATER IM STILL WAITING ON THE ESTIMATE, TRIED CALLING SEVERAL TIMES AND NO ANSWER AND MAIL BOX IS FULL... I THOUGHT WHEN A COMPANY MERGES WITH ANOTHER THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD BE BETTER.. GUESS I WAS WRONG. 2/14/19 FOLLOW UP WITH YOUR COMMENT.... DAN CAME OUT AND LOOKED AT MY PROPERTY AND SAID HE WOULD EMAIL ME A QUOTE AND NEVER DID....
Got some mulch done & some of my bushes trimmed here in Ridgeville, I think Brunos did a wonderful job. Dan is heading projects now & he called me to let me know what time they were coming & did an excellent job for a good price.
