Michael and his partner have been the best lawn service we’ve come across. Super lucky to have a communicative and knowledgeable person taking care of us. He’s always consistent and provides great insight on our lawn and has made look vivid since he’s taken care of it. Highly recommended if you’re in area and looking for affordability and quality.

My wife and I inherited our place from some folks that neglected their lawn a little bit - unfortunately no ‘before’ pictures to share. Michael and team came out and got us into really good shape in a single day’s hard labor! The only complaint would be that we couldn’t have them out sooner because they’re so busy!

I’ve been using Up and At Em for my lawn care needs for over a year, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Michael is fantastic—he’s always responsive and quick to address any requests or questions I have. Our lawn has never looked better, and it’s clear that Michael takes great pride in his work. Michael and his crew are awesome! Always go above and beyond with their service. Communicate super well when Weather throws off their schedule, etc. Super knowledgeable about all things landscaping, and have made several suggestions that took our backyard to the next level!

Update: Michael, the fewer the bamboo stalks the less damage we get. Once the storms blow the first row onto our home, the next row follows. It is what it is. We're in here shaking and trembling because the bamboo hitting our roof is quite loud, usually 3am or so, and my husband has to get out there at 3am(or so), in lighting and rain, and trim that bamboo before it damages our home. Asd to that, we can see our ceiling begin to get water stains again. We've had to replace the roof, repair siding, repaint the entire house so it all matches, and redo our upper rear deck... including the tile. The privacy curtains had to be replaced too. This is NOT cheap. Tall stalks trimmed from the top will not damage our house, and will still maintain privacy between us and our neighbors. You said you'd do this, and i thought AWESOME. You said you'd do that, face to face with my husband, but You didn't, yet still charged us the full amount. You told him you'd bring a ladder every time and just trim the upper tops. That's the facts!! And you take autopsy, so we have no recourse but to.pay you anyway. But that's not really the whole point. You agreed to trim that bamboo, EVERY visit, per what we agreed upon, including the use of a ladder, and didn't do it. You were supposed to haul it all off. Yet you didnt. You left it in the yard, and charged us automatically in such a way that our payments to.you were automatic, regardless if you did the job you agreed to or not. We hired you to trim bamboo and haul it off. but you leave it in the backyard. You mow dirt, but trim bamboo..... every other month??? It certainly isn't often. You do not do the work we hired and pay you for. Bottom lone. Another example:The guy mowing our dirt today told me you were across the street, and IF you brought the equipment necessary you would trim the bamboo as needed. The next thing I knew you were both driving away. Apparently YOU DID NOT BRING THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO TRIM THE BAMBOO AS PROMISED per our contractual agreement. You just mowed the dirt. I'm no longer willing to pay you $175 per month to use a riding mower to mow dirt. You agreed to trim bamboo every visit using a ladder, and haul it off. ( That was your suggestion.) Not $175 pr month to occasional mow our law/weeds/dirt. And you'd even message me and offer to remove.leaves for even more money beaause there's no grass, and bamboo is still encroaching. My response was no, trim the bamboo. That's what you were hired for. If my husband and I weren't disabled we'd do it ourselves. That day my return some day, Lord willing, but we're not there yet. In short, buyer beware! Don't do the automatic payments because this guy doesn't always do what you hired him to do. Write him a check every month. Otherwise you're probably going to be taken advantage of. People love to do that to seniors. Don't be an easy target. Get help hiring someone worthwhile. Original: Up n at em agreed to take the job of mowing and trimming bamboo. We have no grass, bamboo was super important. Unfortunately they didn't trim it. I sent a message about it. The owner called my husband and they agreed he would bring a ladder every visit and trim from a higher level whatever bamboo is over the fence lineline. Yay, that would be perfect! BUT, they didn't. They showed up, mowed the dirt, and didn't trim anything. This happened multiple times. I'm looking for someone who will honor their commitment. Good workers are hard to find these days.

My yard was in dire straits. It had been too long since the last edging. Michael and his helper cleaned up and it looks great. He also mowed the extra property next to my lot to help control the bugs, no extra fee.

Michael and employee were prompt, professional and extremely knowledgeable. My yard looks amazing! The quality of their work is exceptional and not even a 20 year old Areca palm removal stumped them! I highly recommend this business.
