They say give a year to see the service pay for itself. Well that is wrong. The service was absolutely horrendous. What a waste of money. You are better off looking for a local small business that cares to provide a great product not a large company that could care less whether you like their service or not. Would definitely never recommend any tru green service.

Juliette and her partner listened to our concerns about Sedge weed and sprayed accordingly. Avoided liquid herbicides on the areas with sod plugs and used granular instead. Positive

I could never hire a company that is this reckless and endangers residents but letting criminals know which neighbors are in town or now with their door hangers. Please stop this dangerous practice!

Tyler came by and took care of my yard today. He took his time to walk around my yard and explain what was going on with my bushes and what I could do to help them. I must say he sounded like he knew what he was talking about and it made me feel confident in that he was doing. I only wish this had been done sooner. I have had questions about what is happening to my yard and others from your company have been out to look at my yard and each had a different explanation but not knowing what is happening. If this problem had been addressed sooner we would not be in this situation now. I was assured this problem could be corrected, we shall see.

Professional and punctual

I use true green for two properties in Florida. They are always available to answer question at the site or by phone. Both properties are thriving, due to their help.

Tru Green is a puzzle. It has very good people, but a terrible system of routine communication with customers especially so for snow birds, who are more often than not away from their properties when service us conducted. Corporate management at the highest levels needs to address this so that the great work and caring nature of local managers, like Chris SMITH of their Oldsmar office, can shine through. Chris made a personal visit to our place / took lots of photos & gave us a real sense if what was going on in our lawn. His technician Andrew was also first rate. KUDOS to both of them. But if the company is ever going to provide first rate routine customer service it need to totally revamp its approach to systematic communication with customers!

Excellent service ... lawn gets the attention it requires to stay green and capable of filling spots with new growth.

These folks know what they are doing! They go out of their way to identify problems with the lawn and fix them. All of the techs I have worked with so far have been very friendly and knowledgeable.

I canceled service since My yard looks twice as bad as they did when they took over 4 years ago. I gave them chance after chance. They repeatedly did services that I did not ask for or sign up for. The game is when you say cancel account they send you to a very aggressive retention customer service rep... they erase the charge and maybe one other service if you push them. So sorry we dont know what happened....well it happened like 4 or 5 times in 4 years that I caught. I recommend not doing autopay if they even have it. There app is glitchy too. I could go on if I need too. Update: So I will go on since its a lame generic follow up to my review . I talked to at least 5 managment people over the years. Nothing was done other than send the same people that that dont know what they are doing to do the same thing. As far as executing unsolicited services it happened repeatedly over the years so it is clear this is common. Business practice or total lack of management skills. Either way save yourself the headaches.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Allow me to list the ways.... 1- new tech every few months. 2- Techs often dont know how to diagnose lawn issues. I would ask them what this problem is and they blame it on lack of water even though the sprinkler system works perfect and grass nearby and annuals directly adjacent tot he dead grass are perfect. 3- every time I complain, they default to a free follow up service instead of addressing the actual lawn issue. That is why my lawn was DEAD, even during the rainy season proving that it had NOTHING to do with lack of water and that their free follow up services did nothing to fix the problem. 4- bad customer service They dont deserve 2 stars but I give them a 2 since they do show up and treat the lawn. Ive had to resod my entire island at my own expense and hired a different company to care for it going forward. I strongly recommend you DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

Today s Technician did a fabulous job. He was professional, friendly, and courteous. On the other hand, TruGreen s policy against the application of pre or post emergents to control crabgrass is disappointing. I received a phone call today from a Trugreen Customer Service Representative who informed me of this particular policy and was told that the only way for me to get rid of the crabgrass in my backyard was to apply the necessary chemicals to the lawn myself. The main reason why I have a lawn service is so that a trained professional can apply the chemicals to my lawn as I am unqualified to do so and I do not like taking the risk. QUESTION: Does TruGreen have any recommendations for removing crabgrass from my lawn without using chemicals? Once again, today s TruGreen Technician did a wonderful job.

The place has technicians starting work in neighborhoods at 6:30 am. I was woken up a few minutes ago by an air blower. Running a lean organization shouldnt affect your customers neighbors.

True green customer service takes a complaint, listens and for me always reacts immediately sending a technician out to analyze and treat lawn. Jamie is so knowledgeable about lawn maintenance. Whenever he comes to treat or fix other technicians mistakes my lawn improves in weeks. He is easy to talk to and explains in detail what the problem is. He will certainly be missed when he retires.

True Greens service for my shrubs and grass is very valuable. Detail reports @ every visit, and they keep my property looking sharp. Highly recommend.

My only complaint so far is I can not get ahold of anyone who can explain the additional services that were suggested by the technician today when he put down the first application. The jury is out on the efficacy of what was done today.

1/12/2020: 1/12/2022 Branch #5767, Oldsmar, FL. Yesterday I called Tru Green soon after I heard the phone auto-announcement that a tech will service my yard the next day. I called the local 813 # and spoke with Cameron (spelling?). I asked him to notify tech Neill V. of a mounting weed problem especially in my back yard. Cameron said he would enter that in the (computer) notes and he said Neill would review. I wasnt sure that problem would be addressed, but after I read Neills Service Summary I felt he adequately addressed my weed problem. (Due to COVID protocols, I did no see Neill.) Kudos to both! Service of 7-18-2023 by Specialist Marvin D. of Tampa FL branch 5767: several days after the monthly routine service, Marvin D. arrived to apply potash. I spke with Marvin, who seems very conscientious and knowledgeable. The specialist who did the routine service notice brown spots in our front yard...for several years my yard has had a fungus that only has been ultimately fixed by Trugreen;s potash applications. This time I didnt have to call Trugreen. I greatly appreciated their attention to this re-occurring problem! I watched Marvin work hard. I an rating Trugreen and Marvin as a 10/excellent, in anticipation the fungus will be gone in a matter of weeks.

I am very happy with their service. At first at had a small issue and was resolved very quickly. I was hesitant to use them but I after receiving service from Lorone M. I feel really satisfied.

James was courteous and very professional. He addressed my concerns and reapplied fertilizer in a couple bare spots. I am very satisfied with the quick response and professionalism the true green technician provided. Thank you, James For doing a great job !!

This is the first time that someone takes notice of all conditions of my lawn and advises how to prevent future problems like changing lawn cutting patterns, adjust watering, because grass shows water deficiency and advised about a broken sprinkler head and explaining the importance to keep the irrigation system in top shape. Mr. Buchanan is highly professional and truly committed in helping customers keep a healthy lawn.

Disappointing experience. Gave them multiple chances to take care of our lawn issues. When several complaints were made to their office they got defensive and even blamed us for the weeds odd but true. Several requests for a supervisor to meet with us were disregarded. We ve been with TruGreen for 1-1/2 years and after the first 9 months a sales person for TruGreen left us a TruGreen sales pamphlet which included a summary of the lawn issues she noticed. She apparently did not have accurate info for our address and didn t know we were a current customer with TruGreen. I called her and said that I totally agreed with her assessment of our lawn and that we had complained abt it and requested a supervisor to meet us but were disregarded. She apologized and said she would make sure a supervisor meets with us and a plan would be implemented to fix the issues. They never followed through.

We have had much better results from Trugreen having our regular person come each time. We had a lot of issues in the past when they sent different people out all the time and no one knew us or our lawn issues. Our regular technician is very professional, listens to our concerns and follows through, and is experienced. We are currently doing very well with trugreen. We have also noticed the people who answer the phone are much more accommodating and are problem solvers who follow through with what they say they are going to do. Thank you Trugreen!

Since starting with TruGreen Lawn Care our lawn has improved significantly. Less weeds and unwanted grasses. Lawn has thickened and new growth of wanted grass. The color is a rich green. Also the technician knocks on door upon arrival and is very customer service oriented. Good service and a mannerly technician is a pleasure to work with.

If your lawn is already in good shape, you may be ok hiring this company even though there are other local companies that are cheaper. But if your lawn needs special assistance and care, do not hire TruGreen. I believe most of their technicians who come out do not know much about lawn problems and therefore dont know how to treat for whatever problem you may have. In my opinion, the professionals that come out may have been employed by Walmart or selling auto parts last week and the only thing they know about lawns is what they are tought- to spray the highly diluted fertilizer / weed killer solution on your yard.

On a side note: I see a 2 star review from a woman named Suzzanne on how Trugreen ruined her lawn. She posted several pictures of her yard and patches of her dead brown lawn. She had mosaic sugarcane virus on her lawn. Mosaic disease is a sugarcane disease caused by the sugarcane mosaic virus (SCMV) or other viruses. Its a serious disease thats been reported in Florida since the 1960s. This is a virus that spreads naturally and cannot be treated. All you can do is replace the sod with something that is resistant to the virus. Maybe a little more research and appreciation of the fact that they replaced your lawn, even though it wasn t their fault would give you the incentive to give them a higher rating Suzzanne. All of our neighborhood is experiencing this issue.

His willingness to listen, coupled with his insightful recommendations and tips for maintaining my lawn between visits, greatly impressed me. ALMOST TOOK THE BAIT I am so glad that my wife & I read the reviews before signing up with Trugreen Oldsmar, FL. ( Tampa West - Florida #5767 ) Furthermore the unprofessional & rude Branch Sales Manager (name withheld) tried to push us into making a decision in less than 9 hours. Being in sales & management myself I find this ill-mannered characteristic way below average. We do wish him well, but well never become a Trugreen customer, or our neighbors after this experience.

I used Orkin pest and lawn for a decade. I cancelled in October 2023. Apparently Orkin sold their business to TruGreen after I cancelled. Trugreen has billed me and refuses to write the bill off. I called and spoke to 3 people. Rude, horrible service.

Burnt my lawn twice. The first time they caught themselves before continuing. Second time they did not even do 40% of the lawn, but want 100% pay.. They sent out a specialist and never heard back from them. I called to follow up and they deleted me from their system. Never recommend them from now on. I say spray your own lawn yourself, they dont care about your lawn.

Stay away. Ive been having problems with my lawn since the end of June. They dont care youll be sorry if you use them, my lawn still looks terrible.thy kill your lawn and dont make it right. They will be taken to court 1 1/2 years and they killed my yard. Tell me thats green and healthy did is a year and a half old. I dont think the pga golf courses would be ok with this work. I am an avid gardener. I also am a target for mosquitos. I have spent a lot of money on products to help rid my yard of mosquitos. Everything helps a bit but I decided to try TruGreens Mosquito service. I was skeptical because it was so affordable. Day of and day after, I was thrilled with the lack of mosquitos flying around while I was watering my hanging ferns. Michael H was so professional and helpful. Request him!

Bought tree and shrub service since we just moved into a new home and wanted to maintain our beautiful foliage. Tree in our front yard and shrubs starting dying but it was not mentioned or addressed until WE brought it to their attention. They said it was overwatering: doubtful since our irrigation system is at the same setting as it s always been and there were never dying shrubs or dying tree. Don t believe we overwatered because we have been in a drought and are 15 less than normal rainfall totals. Person who said it was overwatered came out early in the morning just after sprinklers ran; of course it s wet. Seems like they offer convenient excuses but are not proactive and simply add fertilizer and leave. They have called and left messages regarding my complaint but always leave a general office number and that person is never there when we return the call. Don t know what, if anything they intend to do but it s doubtful they will do anything. Would NOT use them again.

Great overall experience

Truegreen calls and texts you constantly trying to sell additional services. I have no trees and very few bushes yet they call every couple of weeks asking about if I want too pay more for uneeded seevices. Plus they want to fertilize my average lawn every 30 days on the dot even tough I ask repeatedly and reject service because I clearly told them every 6 weeks minimum. Well see how long before I start fertilizing myself.

TrueGreen, employs very helpful, respectful and knowledgeable individuals. Shamarr H., serviced our lawn and he came up to me and discussed bald patches in an area of my yard. I like that he approached me about this area as it was a concern of mine. I had another question that he was not 100% sure of at the time, but then he got the answer and he approached me in another area of my yard to share it with me. I like the texts I get from TrueGreen for each step of the process such as when they are coming, when theyve arrived, who is servicing my lawn, what they are providing that day, what the next service is scheduled be as well as easy acess to the summary of the service provided. Its even easy access to rating thier service via text msg link. I have had a excellent experience with TrueGreen services and I would recommend them to others.

Having several accounts with Tru Green i have three different techs that service my lawns. I would highly recommend Brandon Bowlin as someone who is very knowledgeable and personable Brandon takes his job seriously and really listens to your concerns.

Ongoing problems with rust fungus. Company does respond and will send a tech to retreat. I do not like to call and complain. Believe it would help your company to have a representative come to property post treatment to check and see if treatment succeeds or has failed. My tech today asked to be called back to treat the area again after leaf drop. This is a positive step

The tech was here 5 maybe 10 minutes max. Checked off he completed two services in one. He did not service the yard. He charged my account for services not rendered. THAT IS STEALING. He left. I called in. They stated they d refund the money and send another tech to complete the service. Next tech comes out. Does not complete service required either. Poor communication and lack of care for customers and providing an adequate lawn service here. I ve requested a supervisor to call me from this branch. No one has called 5 days later. I am cancelling and taking my business elsewhere. I gave them two chances. Fool me once- I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Tyler P. treated my shrubs today. He discussed the plan and responded to my concerns about the impact of the heat this summer on my shrubs and lawn. Tyler also indicated that he would register my request for a follow-up visit for lawn care. The lawn is doing poorly on the south side of my home in the backyard and on the north side of my home in the front yard. Several weeks ago Walter S. treated my lawn. He completed a bug-treatment plan for the lawn and guaranteed follow-up to ensure that the treatment plan is working. I request that Tyler remain as my regular shrub treatment technician and Walter remain the regular technician treating my lawn. Thank you.

Almost got hit by one of their trucks while walking in a Thorntons parking lot, and they did not slow down once while speeding out of the parking lot.

Christopher Smith, my TruGreen Service Manager, came right away when I had questions about spots in my lawn turning brown. He took time to look carefully at my lawn and discuss with me what measures could be taken. Before leaving, he made a specific treatment to address the issue. I would recommend Christopher and TruGreen services to anyone.

I really thought that the service was of optimal quality but in short there is a lot that they sell and little that they do. I hired the services of this company for a specific day that I could be at home confirm my appointment and they did not come, they made me miss day three hours of driving gasoline and then they tell me that they generate the appointment for 30 days after one makes the contract, something ridiculous and inexplicable since when one hires the services of any company you immediately need to be attended to, they did not call to give any type of excuse, I called to make the complaint and it is as if nothing had happened. It is good to see these results from such an irresponsible company that sells themselves as if they were optimal at their job. I do not recommend it.

This tech is always very thorough, polite and I have noticed a good difference in my lawn. Walter was excellent as always and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly and with care. Please make sure he continues to be my specialist!
