No call, no show, cant keep employees. Never fertilized my grass since Aug. 2021

I have been calling them about another service and have gotten no response. Not very happy.

Fast and efficient, had the new lawn treated within days!

Only bill I dont mind paying because I see the results everyday!

Ive had a quarterly pest control subscription for over a year. Ive called three times over the last 2 weeks during business hours with no response to schedule a visit. I understand you may not always be available when I call, but I even left voicemails because I expect professionalism and the courtesy of a call back from a company Ive been doing business with for over a year. At this point, Im looking for an answer as to why Ive not been called back. Are you still in business? Are you that busy that you cant call back your customers within 2 weeks? Is this considered professional? With so many pest control options out there, is this the level of service you strive for?

They are supposed to notify me the day before they arrive as I need to unlock my gate before I leave for work to allow them to access my backyard. Nearly every time, they either don t notify and show up anyway or tell me they re coming and never show. One time they even didn t call, treated the front yard only and left a full price bill! Terrible communication!!!

We have used Always Green for years. It is the best company.

Ok, first, I usually dont write a mixed review for a company were still with but apparently they merged w/Tru-Green but I never got their letter announcing the change. Always Green was the best!!! However, someone from their office called yesterday to schedule at home pest control (the tech NEVER showed up btw smdh), claimed she left me a voicemail, which she never did, & because we had a LOT of trouble w/T-Mobile back in May I called back & got a snarky, sarcastic reply from her. She said I made a mistake, is that ok? It took me FIVE minutes to explain what happened w/T-Mobile back in May smdh! She finally said, Oh, my, thats understandable, BUT, NO apology for her snarky attitude. I, nor any customer, should NEVER get a snarky reply from a company- EVER!!! I really, really hope Tru-Green gives us the same excellent service Always Green did. I will miss Always Green. I mean that :-(

Horrible Customer Service . Ive called and emailed with no response for about week. They put Fertilizer and Pest Control on my Grass that was Green and it slowly turned Brown. It was raining and my irrigation system was on a timer, so no isdues there. My other service did a tremendous job, before I hired this Horrible Company ti save money during these trying times. Oh Well, back to my Old Company. Youve been Warned people.

I would not recommend. Customer service is awful. Supposed to come out every 6 weeks or so. Came out 9 days after a service. On top of that bill was invoiced for a service never received. They messed up my neighbors bushes and blamed him. Just not worth the aggravation. Must be bad ownership as I have read other reviews and too many poor reviews to be a coincidence.

Any recommendations for a company to take over fertilizing our lawn and shrubs? Have been using Always Green for over 15 years but since they merged with TruGreen they are worthless. Called for service over a week ago due to browning lawn and shrubs. Told me they would send some one out in 5-7 days. Unacceptable as lawn is worse and several shrubs are dead.

I initially signed up for Always Green for interior and exterior pest control. A few weeks ago I was notified that they sold their business to TruGreen. I have had nothing but incredible problems since then; TruGreen has TERRIBLE customer service, unable to resolve issues with their internet platform; when you are connected to customer service it is often a disengaged 20-something who does not care or can barely speak the English language. WORST experience and I will be cancelling service.

Honestly, I m not sure why we used them for as long as we did. Call it laziness because we didn t want to bother with getting another company to come out, but we have had enough. First, I can never read the reports they place on our door after the service. It s hand written, so if want to take care of your yard, you have to try to decipher what they are telling you to do. 2nd we just treated our yard for fungus, $75, and apparently we had frost bite then a fungus again. I m so confused. My husband called and spoke to a lady about our recent fungus treatment and why we need it again so soon. She was very rude. To shorten the story, My husband was trying to understand more about the fungus and why we need to pay so much again so quickly, and she snidely said, Well do you want the treatment or not? Basically she didn t care and wanted off the phone with him. We had a few other issues that would take too much time for you to read... but I just want to let other consumers know our experiences so they can make a better decision since there a ton of lawn fertilizer companies you can choose from. When I went in line to post this review, I wasn t surprised to see they have a four star rating and there s other similar reviews about their unprofessionalism. This is certainly an issue within their company and I for one don t want to pay a service and not get treated like a valuable customer. We are taking our business to Grass monkey.

Always Green is a cut above the rest. I have been using them for years (after using several others). The others come out strong, but few maintain the level of service you would hope for. Always Green has been really good for my needs. Always friendly, Always professional, always on time, always effective. Especially Professional Technician DREW. This young man knows what he s doing. Let s u know when he s coming, when he is leaving, and what he saw and treated when he was there (with recommendations on how I can help). I really recommend this company. I intend to use them for years to come.

Owner denies employees of their earned paid vacation hours and then tells them not to come in until he talks to them. Its not professional when people have families to take care of. Place is falling a part.

I am their current customer ,I had very good lawn and it was never dead until I started service with always green. Now I have to get it redid. The Always green team really doesn t cared . I have so many notices from HoA , and each time I call Always green , it takes 3-5 days for them to call back . They don t stick to their words .

Products applied worked well but we paid extra for monthly service which ended up being the 6-8 week plan. Unfortunately multiple people, including owner not willing to discount to 6-8 week price, and we ended up with monthly over growth of weeds. So in reply to owner response ...wow nice attempt at free advertising on a mildly negative review...Ill reduce to 2stars instead of 3...It is a lie that you come out to address issues when called .Its a lie that monthly charge sold to me is same as 6-8 weeks, the monthly charge I was sold was $10 more.... in hind sight---almost as if you dont WANT to service customers more frequently than every 8 weeks.End result is the same. HUGE patches of weeds, ( with the exception of 1st date of service) ALWAYS late for treatments, NEVER came out to address weed issues when called. Whatever you sprayed on my Lime tree and papaya has nearly/ may still KILL them...by your own employees definition you arent even supposed to spray/ do anything to fruit trees. My Hawaiian plant has also dropped 1/2 its leaves. I also dont need a second job to call your office and remind service is 3 days, 1 week, 10 days, 2 weeks late( and be told each time he will be out tomorrow). It probably would have been more prudent to apologize , refund the $10 difference (since youve been late multiple times/ 2 weeks late on services)...your office showed your cards when they received my final payment and cancellation notice, they asked for another chance to make things right...I politely replied that I had already given several opportunities to correct , and my yard ( sodded just before Always Green was hired) is now a mess.No thanks, and definitely not the picture you presented in your reply. Future customers, I recommend a different group if you need/ want service more than quarterly.

I can t recommend them enough. The technician have always been knowledgeable with any questions and concerns. The staff in the office have alway been friendly and quick to help.

They killed my lawn. Techs were never the same and would leave notes about how great the grass was doing when it was all weeds or burnt. Sent a manager out after I refused service, took soil samples, and never heard from them again. Buyer beware.

Thank you Laurie and team!! Ive had 2 other companies come out to my property and look my patchy dead grass. I spent way more than I wanted to and saw no results. A friend recommended Always Green and my grass is finally coming back to life. They are always here when they say they will be and have the friendliest staff.

Had them for a little over a year. My grass got brown in spots, they said they treated but it kept getting worse. They promised to bring some sod to replace some areas and I saw that they replaced the dead grass with sod that is not even the same kind of grass in the yard. My beautiful sodded back and front yards were destroyed under contract with them. I would never recommend them!

The office staff is amazing and very friendly. I had an issue with ants inside my home and they were very quick to send a technician out to that the issue. Great company.

The staff is professional and very friendly; shout out to the owner Peter who always goes above and beyond for his clients and his employees. Whenever theres an issue, theyre very prompt in helping to fix the problem. Theyve kept my property pest free and are very understanding and flexible. Definitely recommend!

We have had lawn service for years, however our lawn and shrubs did not look healthy, I had to constantly replace grass and hedges. Finally, I Called Always Green. I hired them four months ago and my yard and hedges look better than they have in years. They did soil testing, proper fertilizing and spraying. I am happy especially since I am quarantined and have a beautiful yard to look at!

Contractor came out on six separate occasions. No noticable difference in pest infestation after that many treatments. Refuse to give a refund or allow prorated amount to be paid based on amount of services rendered as percentage of contract. If only they were half as good at killing bugs as they were collecting on bills, they might be good at their business. Sadly, they will never see another dime from me as they have been rude, and worse, 100% ineffective

Being fairly new to the area I depend on reviews when making choices for service. I go out of my way when a company does a good job , but feel obligated to the community when one does a poor job. ALWAYS GREEN has done our yard for the past few years. We had a picture perfect backyard when they started. It has been a disaster for the last few years, but they kept promising to make it right. So we stuck with them and it is still a disaster. We just cancelled our service.

Overall we were very happy with Always Greens service. We used them for pest and lawn care.

Fantastic service all around. PPE was up to standard and they were following all COVID-19 protocols. Willing to go out of their way to make a customer happy. I would 10/10 recommend!

After three months of service our lawn looks worse than when we started. Have called twice to speak to someone. I am told someone will call. No one has after two weeks. Last time I called I said if no one calls then I will cancel our service. I was told that would be fine with them. Nice. As of today still no call.

Very, very happy ~ cANT say enough! They ReHILLy took care of our infestation quickly and effectively! Andrew is an expert in his work! Also appreciate David s assistance and direction! We started with Always Green this year as our lawn and trees began to look a little rough. The team is always ready to help out and are very responsive through any form of communication. Recently, we had a tree leaning over the sidewalk and AG s route manager, Jim, offered to help get the tree off the sidewalk at no charge. Although we ve only been a customer for a short period, I would highly recommend AG.

They are the best and always so friendly

We used Always Green for about 2 years... recently their service and promises fell very short. About 2 months ago our grass started receiving brown patches and strips around the yard. We called and was told a manager would be out within 2 business days. After a week with no one calling or showing up I called again and was told they would be out again in a day or so .... I called again and they eventually came out after a couple of more days and treated the yard. We followed the watering instructions yet the brown patch in one area got progressively worse. 2 weeks ago I called and was again told in 2 days someone would come out. After 4 days no one showed. I called and was told that a service guy would call me back. He called me back (that day, a Friday) and assured me he would be out the following Tuesday the latest. I came home yesterday (Tuesday) and he was a no show!!! I ve had it!!! I cancelled my service with them and am in the process of researching other lawn services. Very disappointing!!! I will add to this review that David from Always Green was very accommodating after we expressed our final concern and genuinely tried to make things right again for us.

Best place to work and get service from

Great company, techs are truley friendly. Comapny highly knowledgeable. They dont pressure you into add on sales but explain ways you can solve them on yout own to save money. But that there approach is fatset and more effective then public accessible chemicals. Truthfully best lawn care service our there you just have to realize. There NOT a round up company the results arent instantaneous. An they shouldnt be a yard takes time to grow and prosper an as it does. It becomes stronger fuller an more of life then a quick spray job by other companies.

This place is for pest control for yard and home they do an amazing job. They are honest and do not try to take advantage of the customer. They do not try to do work that is not necessary I have had a tree that died in my yard and I was hoping to save it and a pricey injection would have been needed. They could have easily given the injection knowing the tree was not going to make it regardless. But they did not and they let me know.

I would like great service not good service

This is the worst lawn care company ever, in my opinion, i would not hire them. They have already killed three of my Itilian Cypress trees by never inspecting them, or advising me on any of its inspections of any issues, or curing the issues, before the trees died. Always Green always had some crazy excuse for the trees dying. Unbelievable. Now i have to replace another tree, and am demanding they pay for the tree.

These people do really an amazing job! The only downside is, they only accept cash or check. Its not difficult do deal with, just an inconvenience.

Reasonable, personable, professional

If I could give zero stars I would. I initially hired Always Green because of their overwhelmingly positive reviewing on websites like Home Advisor. Moving into a new home, I wanted to make sure I hired the right company to take care of my lawn. I even opted to pay them $70 per application to treat both my lawn and my plants. The first few months were fine. The lawn looked great, my plants were OK and I was happy. I didn t pay much attention early in the summer as it was very hot and very dry. Then, in July, it was noted on my invoice that I had a fungus on my grass and I needed to pay $50 for an additional treatment. Luckily, that request jolted me out of the denial I was in. I really paid attention. There were weeds throughout my grass and my plants (which I was paying extra to be treated) looked dead. I wrote customer service on their website to raise concerns about how my lawn looked and pretty immediately got a response that a supervisor would be out to look at my lawn. A few days later, I had a note on my door that said I - in fact - did NOT have a fungus, but instead was cutting my grass too short and not watering it enough (I guess those watering restrictions in Pasco County really don t matter to these guys). A few days later, another rep came out to treat to my lawn and repeated the same line in his notes about my grass being cut too short. This will become important in a minute, so keep reading. In the interim, I contacted three companies to give me quotes on my lawn. Each of those three companies independently came to the same conclusions: 1) my yard was not being treated with fertilizer; 2) my plants had witches broom fungus; 3) I had crabgrass, broadleaf, and other weeds throughout my lawn. I wrote back in to customer service to immediately terminate my service. I shared with them my extreme displeasure, the findings of the other companies, and asked how they thought it fair to deal with my final invoice for $70 given these findings. The response I received was incredibly condescending. Trust us was the answer. The rep stated that I had been advised three times my grass was being cut too short - which is what was causing the weeds to grow. Nevermind the fact two of those three times were within days of one another. As for the findings of the other companies? They were apparently telling me that my lawn wasn t being fertilized because they didn t know what was going on. And, oh, those plants with the fungus? Totally ignored it. Let s not forget the $50 treatment they tried to sell me that I did not need. Zero responsibility. None. It was all my fault. Not even one month after switching companies, my grass looks very green, the weeds have been greatly reduced, and my plants are starting to grow again. Now, despite all of the evidence Always Green was clearly not doing what I was paying them to do for 9 months, they re demanding payment on my last treatment. Avoid this company at all costs. They don t care about you, and they will not take responsibility for their work (or lack thereof). They ll just leave you to foot the bill for their ineptitude (literally).

Started noticing small spots of browning in my lawn.Contacted Always Green and they returned and treated again. Over time the dead spots continued to expand. Lawn never responded to treatment. 2 small trees also died. Time to try another company!

Weve been using Always Green for over a couple years now and our lawn just looks worse and worse. Weve called several times to see how they can help improve the lawn but the bald spots just get worse and our grass is NOT as green as it once was. We were trying to stay loyal to the company but its just not cutting it anymore. They may be able to handle simpler lawns but ours was clearly too much for them.

What a RIP off! I After we switched to another service we realized what a poor job Always Green did. We were told they could get rid of our weeds but month after month no progress. We hired a lawn mowing service that included weed and fertilizing and after the first treatment the weeds were gone. What a relief our yard looks great, no thanks to Always Green.

We have had them for several years and the lawn was looking progressively worse. Bald spots, nutsedge taking over etc... They should have seen the issues themselves as it is obvious rather than me having to call to bring it to their attention. The lawn has reclaimed water irrigation as well as we are in rainy season. No excuse. We just cancelled service.

Their lawn and garden techs do not know what they are doing or how to fertilize plants. The company management is nice to deal with and attempt to make good on their mistakes. The problem is there is no supervision and the techs that come out to spray plants and fertilize dont know what they are doing and do things that can kill plants. Also, they dont understand what a lawn fungus is. More training is needed and better supervision. I am not here to baby-sit my lawn company.

Ive had Always Green treating my lawn for almost two years, they started treating it after I sodded it, and its still the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. The technician is always thorough and does a great job letting me know if my lawn needs more or less water. Great service!

I have been referring Always Green for years to my customers, and they offer great product and service. They have always been willing to work with my clients and me to solve any landscape or lawn issue, and they have super customer service. They are knowledgeable, dedicated to their craft, and work hard to keep thier customers satisfied. I highly recommend them.

We have tried time and time again to work with this company through the staffing turnovers, the treating of my neighbors bushes, the lack of follow through on so many occasions. New sod and they couldnt even keep it up. Scales reintegration times three all the while under service contract. The first one was on us because that was the reason they were called in the first place. Treated a couple of times and after awhile we couldnt get them to come and treat the problem areas. Ended up losing the entire front yard to scale. And white flies. Replaced yard spoke to Eric and David both with promises to have professional follow through. Found scale covering bushes, called was told they would be out in ten to three business days. A week later it has spread to the other bushes still no service or call back.

These guys are great. You can literally trust them to do whatever they said they would do. Thank you very much my lawn looks perfect.

Always Green is one of the smartest choices weve ever made when it comes to caring for our property. Our technician Eric, was prompt, NEVER seemed as though he was in a hurry to finish and the results spoke for themselves. Eric has been promoted within the company and we met our new tech, Jason, yesterday. He too is friendly, extremely well-versed in the effective use of chemicals to keep pests away and our yard looking great! The thing we appreciate most is that Always Green works just as hard...maybe harder...than they did on day one. Other lawn care concerns level of service and attention to detail quickly fades after a few visits. This is some of the best money we spend. We see it as an investment...never an expense. Always Green IS THE BEST IN TAMPA BAY!

Best choice, fire anyone else you may have had. These guys actually show you the problems and if you need to call something in, they fix it without a 100 calls. They dont have the overhead like trugreen and the big companies. Actually here for the customer.
