Epic has created an Epic failure to provide snow removal for apartment homes

Enough is enough!!! Still running mowers and trimmers at 8PM. STOP!!! IM sorry you cant manage your business any better but this is ridiculous!!! Time to pull your head out Now!!

We have been customers since 2008. This is the first time we have had problems. Getting the company to respond has been impossible. Came to start up our sprinkler system on 4/16/24. Rep could not find zone 1, said there was an issue on another. I asked him to confirm two areas in yard were covered. Left saying he would have to have his supervisor call because he could not figure out zone 1 and he thought zone 6 had problem. We have called office 6-7 times - no response, no returned phone calls. Unfortunately I paid upfront for this year s service. We don t know what has changed but this company went from fabulous to horrific!!! 5/6/24 - continued to call and finally reached Sandra! Explained our situation to Sandra and she made things happen immediately. System was fixed on 5/6/24. Jason was very professional.

EPIC services my apartment complex in Leawood. Having my car sprayed with grass and having rocks piled up next to it is a regular occurrence. Pics of my car are the morning after getting it back from detailing.

I have seen first-hand how EPIC values its many hard-working employees and truly does what it can to make them feel appreciated often.

We have used Epic for 10 years and they continue to do a stellar job! They are timely, their work looks outstanding and their customer service is professional and quick to respond! Thank you team!

Hard to get a hold of

EPIC continually fails to do the jobs they are contracted to do for the HOA. Mowing and anything lawn care related? Expect you grass to be dead or something to get damaged. Snow removal? Dont count on it getting shoveled in a timely manner. I dont understand how they stay in business or havent been sued. Pick literally any company except this one.

Epic installed the sprinkler system at our house. When we called to offer to pay them to come mark their sprinkler lines so we could have a fence installed, they outright refused to perform the service. Predictably, the fence installer came, broke the sprinkler line, and told us Epic had installed the line directly along the boundary instead of inside the boundary as it should have. Still waiting to see if Epic replies to my request for information about getting the line fixed, but Im not holding my breath. 0 out of 5

Unfortunately, our HOA contracted this company. Over a year they have been absolutely terrible. They have consistently failed to fulfill the services that the contract entails and that they receive payment for. Many of the people in the HOA have now refused service (that they have already prepaid) and have instead opted to perform lawncare services themselves or through other professional lawncare services. You know its bad when youd rather lose the several hundred dollars you prepaid then let these guys work on your yard. And thats only if they actually bother to show up, which through 2022 has been seldom, if at all, most weeks. I definitely recommend looking elsewhere if you want good and consistent service.

If their drivers are any inclination of the type of work they do watch out! Very dangerous drivers on multiple occasions.

Fantastic Place!!!!

Contacted Epic about a piece of limestone that we dug out of the ground but could not move ourselves. Todd Stremsterfer responded and came and helped us move the stone. We appreciated his timeliness and help.

Good construction and maintenance

We live in Enclave apartment complex and this is how Epic taking care of our yards! First they let it grow in to a jungle and then mowed and leave this wet grass all over the yards! So as a result the good green grass is dead. This company dont value theyre customers and absolutely unprofessional. Its totally Epic name for a disaster.

Good luck talkng to someone. For being a smaller company you think it would be easier to talk to a live person. You have to leave a voice mail, either they take a while to call back or do not call back at all. I wanted to get my sprinkler system serviced. I called on Tuesday. it is now Friday and still nothing scheduled. I ended up calling someone else that had a live person that answered the phone and got me schedule right away. I do not know how their service is because I was not able to get them to to schedule me. I would not waste my time calling them.

Epic does my apartment landscaping and does a terrible job. They cut any corner possible. My complex is in the back, so they either skip the yard entirely or put in absolute minimum effort. It literally looks like a overgrown jungle all of the time compared to the front of complex by leasing office. Weeds everywhere and everything overgrown all of the time. Literally every time after they come I have to put in a complaint to my apartment management that they skipped the lawn in front of my apartment as well as all the surrounding lawns in the back of the complex... as usual.

We received a letter informing us that we were going to have our sprinkler system winterized the week of October 12th and that we needed to be home so they would have access to the controller which is in our garage. No one called to schedule a time to perform the work (unlike previous years when they actually set a date and time), so after waiting so long we had to leave our home to go to our scheduled appointments and assumed that would call us or leave a message on our answering machine. Now, fast forward to Friday, October 16th, when were away from our home, there was a note our door to call the office to schedule a time for them to come back. We called at 2:00 p.m.and told them we were home and would be there the rest of the day and night. We, in fact, left our garage door open as well as our front door so they would know we were home, but no one came. The next Monday I left 3 messages at their office and no one had the decency of returning my calls. The next morning I again called and this time they said they would be at our home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23rd. As of this writing it is Friday and it is 2;00 p.m. and no one has come to do the work nor called to let us know they were behind schedule. This is so unprofessional !

Absolutely love working with Mike Flynn and Epic Landscaping. They take great care of our properties and I love that Mike is always a phone call away if I need something or to answer any question that we may need answered. Not only is he our rep, but you can often find him outside completing a project himself. Glad to partner with Mike and the Epic team.

The worst for snow removal. Friday February the 8th 2019. Their inefficiency throwing salt and removing snow caused multiple car crashes in an apartment complex in Leawood Kansas. Management called them out and EPIC replayed wait for the sun to melt the ice and snow. In the mean time more car crashes damaged the property. Now they probably face a suit for liability. Very inefficient, expensive and horrible customer service. You will be better off calling small companies. They at least care about customers.

Epic is the most efficient and largest landscapers out there, a step above the rest,

Ive had mixed experiences with Epic. Ive had them install two trees, which theyve done a great job on. But Ive also had two shrubs installed, both very small and one died. Im still waiting on warranty replacement on the latter--one of Epics drawback is poor communication.

Extremely professional, Very clean. The lawn is always cut perfectly into diamonds on the ground pure green gold, always using stihl tools, only the best for the best. They arrive on trucks with the name of the company and the number on the trucks, the employees all have the name of the company on their shirts and hats, they pick up trash and leftover leaves from trimming, they arrive on site and finish jobs in a orderly and timely manner, very polite and more often than not working diligently. Very organized and very professional and offer said services at reasonable price. Over all, a good company and great people.

I recently built a new home and used Epic Landscape for a variety of tasks. (bushes, trees, plants, mulch, retaining stone wall, limestone steps, irrigation, construct a sitting wall along a poured concrete patio, river rock around foundation). Multiple crews were used and scheduled around the various overlapping tasks. Bottom line, it could not have turned out any better. I felt compelled to compliment Nick (Project Manager) on how well things were looking throughout the process. Nick was very easy to work with and responsive to any and all questions or issues. I will use EPIC for all of my future landscaping needs. I would also like to say how much I love my friends and family saying how great and unbelievable it all looks! Thanks again for a job well done!!

Wish they did residential

We have been customers since 1999 and they have been great. We had so many people tell us how great our yard looked. They have been coming regular since we moved in. They come and plant my flowers each spring and clean them out in the fall.. We could not ask for better lawn service. Our neighbor who is very peculiar wanted their service and are very please. I would recommend them to anyone.

Showed up to service our apartment complex on a Saturday morning.....the one day that most people try to sleep in. After politely asking if the guy could move down to a different area for a little while, I was unceremoniously told no.

Very good company

Unbelievable lazy and inefficient. If you live in an apartment complex that they work at, move immediately unless you enjoy being woken up by yelling, singing and then the constant rev of engines. It s 30 degrees out, no precipitation yet 4 of them walking around with leaf blowers at full blast for a solid 45 minutes starting at 830. Just unbelievably loud.

I live in an Apartment and one of the Epic mowers cracked our car windshield with a rock that flew out from a lawnmower. Epic replaced the glass with SafeLite glass company immediately. Epic is very professional and easy to deal with.

Kendall walked us through the entire setup. And Dave showed us how to use the system. I thought they did an awesome job.

Epic was the contracting landscaping company on our new build. We spent a pretty good amount on the entire job because we had a lot we wanted done. Part of their deal is a one year guarantee on their plants. Some plants didnt make it through the winter, so we asked for them to be replaced. While it took a couple of reminder contacts, they came out and replaced everything that either died or didnt look so good. They stuck to their word without much issue, and everything looks good. You cant ask for much more than that.

Absolutely the worst! I rent, therefore, Im not the customer and my property does not count nor do I. Every single week, I have to carry gallon hugs of water outside several times to wash the wet grass off my white car. There are chips in the paint from them running into the building and chipping the rock off the building. Then they mowed over it and sent shattered rocks into the front of my car. This was months ago but what their manager, Joel, told me was thats not possible. Those chips had to have happened on the highway or something. I dont drive on the highway. He continued to demean me as a woman and told me that maybe I should have my husband call him so the men could work this out. No. There are other chips in the paint from them blowing rocks throughout the parking lot. Not matter who I speak with, the grass gets mowed backwards and sprayed all over the cars. I do not know if anyone else has bothered to complain or not. Maybe Im the only one with a white car? Wet grass left to dry on a white car will leave stains! Considering this has been ongoing for years and the responses I get from Epic Landscape are nothing but being talked down to, maybe I will stop spending a couple of hours of my time every week trying to keep the grass washed off my car while they are here working and just let it stain my paint and let the police report and insurance companies work out the damages and lost time. Whats it going to take Epic?!

Over the past 9 months we had a new home built in a new community. Towards the end of the build we needed a quality Landscaper that would have the exterior of our home as nice as the interior. We asked around and the name that kept coming up was someone I hadnt used before, EPIC Landscape. I call and spoke to Marty Siler, one of the Partners and setup an appointment. After reviewing my needs he developed a plan that exceeded my dream landscape. His plan incorporated the plant material I liked along with some innovated ideas. I approved the plan along with the installation of sod and sprinkler system. EPIC quickly started to implement our plan and timed the completion of the exterior with the close on our home. Everything came out wonderful and every new neighbor that passes the house comments on how beautiful the landscape is. The EPIC team did a fantastic job, they worked hard to create our landscape vision. Thank You EPIC.

ANNOYINGLY like to start mowing at 8 am and dont care about anyone else but themselves. Even though it poured last night and theyre tearing up the grass by mowing, they just seem to take joy in running multiple lawnmowers as early as they can.

I would NOT recommend Epic to anyone. Their name should be Epic Failure Landscape Productions. This is my very first review I have ever written. Ive never written a review because I believe (most times) reviews are only for people who like to complain and a person reading doesnt always get the full context of the situation about comments written. I feel so strongly, Im willing to make the effort here. I have been so dissatisfied with their service that I am taking time to warn others to avoid this company. I am a board member of our homeowners association. The contract we have with them was signed before I came onto the board. They give great lip service, but do not follow through on their commitments. On several occasions, we have had them come to the property for a site inspection and asked for specific items to be resolved. They agree, then invoice us and do not do all of the work quoted. On two occasions we have gone back to invoices and compared the services we paid for to learn that they did not do them. I think they didnt think we would follow up to check on their work and would get by with charging us for services not rendered. I dont consider them honest or trustworthy. In fact, I feel like they stole our money (a lot of money) by not doing what was asked and then keep our funds. Buyer beware!

The workers are very disrespectful and rude. I would not suggest using this company for any of your landscaping needs.
