So I hired these guys back in April to aerate and over seed my lawn, prepaid $276 and was told it'd be 5 to 10 business days, on the 10th business day I still hadn't heard a single thing from these guys so I had to call and then was told I'd hear something in 48 hours, well 4 days later i hear something then they show up the day after i finally got a text. There were huge sections that weren't touched with the aerator, I have some pretty compacted soil so it's very obvious, and it doesn't look like they seeded at all. I've hired another company to come redo what should have been done right in the first place for a smaller price tag and this other company has actually been communicating with me, imagine that! I wouldn't be as mad about the communication if the job was done well but it just wasn't. I honestly would not recommend this company and won't use them again. Hire local companies, they do much better and charge less.
I will never recommend or use TruGreen again. Absolutely not the "best lawn care service in Utah". We paid for our service and have never had so many new weeds and plants pop up. It wasn't in the best shape to begin with and now its 10x worse than before. No expert came to assess or help or have any sort of plan. They claim to save you time and money... we are going to have to spend MORE time and money on our lawn to even get it back to how it looked before TruGreen touched it.
Your company has been doing a good job of most things. However, our most needed question has been about ridding our lawn of the “Star of Bethlehem” weed. We’ve been asking for it to be treated so we can get rid of it. If you have been treating it, you must not be using the correct chemical to kill it, because it is back worse than ever. The specialist said he can only spray it with what’s in the truck, and dismissed the issue. Certainly didn’t answer our question. He could have said he’d check into it. Disappointed ☹️
We took the 6 step service from True green last year in 2022. During their last service they sprayed some weird stuff and completely killed parts of our backyard grass. When we called and reported them in 2022. They told us it was too late in the year and they would do a free seeding and make sure our lawn comes back in shape. Early in April they sent someone to analyze the damage and then they told us that they don’t know what caused it. Anyways after many phone calls they finally scheduled to send someone to service the lawn. We raked our whole lawn in the heat over the weekend so that they can spread seeds. So finally he comes and tells us that he did not bring any seeds and was there to just sprayed and go away. We are really frustrated with the company and the least amount of care they took of our yard. Throughout this whole process it seemed as if it was our responsibility to take care of the damage they caused. There was no professionalism whatsoever. We are never going back and I would suggest other people to stay away from them.
Completely disappointed with this company. Their guy showed up at 7am to spray the weeds and unwanted grass at my house because we’re getting ready to put sod down (we let them know that). I was getting ready to go out to see his work, but by the time my wife went out, he was already done. World record I suppose. It did not smell like anything has been sprayed and the weeds and unwanted grass did not show immediate change or dry up a day later, I know this because Lawn Doctor did a really good job spraying the weeds last year with roundup. We called them about it, the guy showed up the next day and pointed at the unwanted grass and said it was dying. Then TruGreen charged my credit card $90, and it’s now been two weeks, and the weeds and unwanted grass are not dead! they’re actually growing! The receipt said he used fertilizer on the unwanted grass! On top of this, We have called 4 more times and talked to them on the phone and asked them, begged them!, to come and help us with this issue. Three times they said they were coming and never showed up! TruGreen did not do a proper or even a decent job, charged me for it, and has not been reliable in making it right. Very unsatisfied with their work and work ethics. We asked for a refund, and they told us we were not getting it. We’re now having to call Lawn Doctor, so we don’t miss our Spring window to put sod down. We don’t recommend TruGreen.

I was serviced with dry chemicals and was very happy.
My weeds did not die after several weeks. I called the help line and they said that I would have to wait until my regularly scheduled visit. They did not come on that day. I called the help line and they gave me another date and they did not come. They say that they will come tomorrow. The help line has operators who seem to read off of a script with a heavy accent.
Kyle was knowledgeable about lawn grasses and lawn weeds. As we talked I could tell that he had interest in what he was doing and just someone hired casually. I hope he is sent for my next treatment.

Technician was not informed obviously about the broken gate. So backyard did not get completed. Have told Trugreen many times. While signing up. Not technicians fault.

My only complaint is the tech used a spreader and I had to blow the excess off my patio and driveway. The spreader should have a edge guard on it to prevent fertilizer getting on the concrete.

I would not use them. They tell you they guarantee it, but they only guarantee it if you pay more. They say there s no contract and you can cancel anytime well the only way to cancel is to wait in a 2 1/2 hour phone call line so have fun with that. Then you cancel your service and the next year you get a call about them wanting to come back out for your service the next year that they re already automatically withdrawing from your account and you have to wait another 2 1/2 hour phone call.
I m pleased this far with service and results. We will see as we move into spring & summer as I have weeds that I want out of my lawn. But current grass is bulking up and looking green.

I am new to the Trugreen service and have had other lawn companies performed service in the past. Past services seem to lack the pride and detail that I recently observed by the Trugreen team (Ogden). I recently witnessed my lawn being serviced by a young man named Bransen. Bransen s attention to detail and pride in the performance of his efforts is refreshing and remarkable. Bransen treated my lawn as it was his own backyard. I contacted the Ogden Trugreen office and spoke to Jason (manager), expressing my compliment and was also impressed with this conversation Jason truly cares about the service he provides and the caliber of his employees to perform the service. Rarely in this current environment do I experience quality service more than often, it s about going from one job to the next! Trugreen is the exception and the team and staff at the Ogden office should be the template that other businesses should model their performance with thank you for your stellar craft and personable team.

The technician Rick is great at what he does. He has serviced my yard for years. He is very informative and knows his stuff.
Very unsatisfied with their customer service. We were at our wits end with our lawn and decided to have some professionals help and began price checking. I called to get some information and the service rep I talked to just kept trying to sale me on their package and didn t answer any questions. I informed them I want to price check around to see what other people offer before we commit and they said good luck finding some one cheaper and hung up. A week later another person called to try and sell me on their services, I informed them we had just laid new sod and want to make sure it roots before we have anything else done to it. Once again hung up on me. Super unprofessional and do not care about customer service. Not impressed with how they treat their customers over the phone, how do I expect them to treat my lawn with care.

I am very disappointed in this company. They can never find my property. They have sprayed the wrong property multiple times. They can t find my property. I ask to have them call me when they arrive to my property but they never do. Instead I get alerts that they have completed their service on somebody else s property! A technician who did actually do my lawn one time, was scheduled to return but still couldn t find my property and sprayed someone else s lawn. Outsourced phone service is a joke. Communication is a joke. I ll never recommend them to anybody.

y all need to train your drivers to actually drive better. i was heading heading north on i-89 and one of your female drivers coming out of the weber canyon decided to come out right in front of me LAST SECOND with NO ONE ELSE BEHIND ME. i ve never had to hit my brakes so hard in my life. so of course i m irritated at that point and flip them off. without hesitation she flipped me off. got along side their truck and both ladies in the truck flipped me off. short brown hair with glasses(the driver) and blonde hair with pink highlights(the passenger) both flipped me off. what really plucks my pubes is they had no care in the world. didn t care to admit fault.. without hesitation i got the bird from both of them. not only are they driving a company truck but they are also supposed to represent your company. very unprofessional
Rick Smith has done my trees and shrubs for a few years and I was not seeing the value. I called to cancel my service and then Rick showed up at my house wondering why,(he was very professional) I was canceling. he was very detailed about his service. As I looked at neighbors I see that he was spot on. I stayed with TruGreen and he solved for my diseased lawn and I am a Raving Fan because of Rick.
Although the contract year has not ended yet, I look forward to using Trugreen company next season.

These guys legit saved my lawn. I live next to someone who doesn t take care of their yard, and has weeds for a lawn. I fought trying to save my lawn, buying things weed control from Home Depot. But, I kept losing the battle, and it was almost to the point I thought about ripping it all up and laying new sod. But, I decided I would hire professional lawn service. After the 1st service I didn t think I noticed much difference. But, I paid for a year service so I thought I would wait it out. After a year these guys totally saved my lawn. My lawn doesn t have any of those spikey weeds in grass anymore, and looks amazing! I can actually enjoy my backyard. I can invite people over again, and play badminton, and soccer in my back yard. Thank you, thank you. Only regret I have is I didn t take pictures XD
Trugreen came and sprayed my lawn today. The tech left the gate open and my dog got out. Luckily animal control picked her up and returned her to us after a frantic search. We reached out to trugreen and was told it would take 24-48 hours for some one to call us back. When we asked to speak with someone today we were told that was not possible. This is terrible customer service I will be canceling my account.

I have always used local lawn companies to service my lawn. I chose to move to TruGreen as I saw results of a friends lawn and was impressed. While I am impressed with the results I am NOT impressed with Trugreen s customer service. My debit card on file expired so I updated the card once it was replaced. For a reason unknown to me it would not debit my card when a service took place as it had before. I would receive unrelenting phone calls multiple times a day until I logged on to pay the bill with my method of payment that was on file. On top of that at least once a week I would calls trying to sell more services. I reached out to the customer service team and said that the above reasons make their company frustrating to work with and that I am not wanting to remain with TruGreen because of those reasons. The customer service rep blamed me for being surprised by billing and said that when I updated my card I should have just entered a new date not the rest of the information that their system was asking me to update. All of the information is correct as I checked the first time a service took place and my card was not charged for it.
So far I am extremely satisfied. When I bought my house my yard was 90% weeds. No matter what product I used I could not kill the weeds. TrueGreen came out applied a couple treatments aerated my lawn and now my lawn is a baron wasteland of dirt! THERE ARE 0 WEEDS!!! I am excited for the lawn rebuild once the weather permits it. EXTREMELY SATISFIED!
The guy that was supposed to treat my yard sat In his truck for 10 minutes, put a sign on my front yard and left I m assuming he thought no one was home. I called the office just to see what they would tell me was done and the lady said my lawn was seeded and fertilizers. I m no lawn expert but I m pretty sure you can t do all that from the seat of a truck About 4 days later I brought it up to my brother and he said I could of told you that company was crap When he was out of town for a couple months they were supposed to care for his lawn and when he came back there was twice as much crab grass as there was before he left If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give a negative star review I would. Several times when someone was scheduled to come out no one showed up. When someone did eventually show up Im not sure what service was even provided. Im confident I recieved at least one treatment because I could see the weeds dying. That was one time. After that it didnt seem like they were even doing anything. There is one side of my yard that has never been treated even though I ask customer service to remind the tech not to forget that area multiple times. Now for the biggest problem. I stopped service due to these issues. My account was on automatic payment. I started receiving phone calls every morning saying my account was past due and I owed 60 something dollars. How can this be if I was on autopay and cancelled the service? The first customer service rep couldnt answer my question and said it just just that I owed them that money. The second rep said that it was showing there was supposed to be a credit applied and it just hadnt gone through yet and I actually didnt owe that money. He assured me that it would be handled and specifically told me not to worry because they will NOT send the account to an outside collections agency. I have now received a letter from and outside collections agency (I.C. System, Inc) that is trying to collect a debt they say I owe to Trugreen. What horrible deceptive business practices! I am irate that I have to spend my time disputing this with the collections agency now. The reps at Trugreen obviously dont know what is going on and are completely incompetent. This company is trash. EDIT: I have emailed you for assistance as requested and no one has responded. I have called multiple times and no one will help me. They say no one is available. Someone else will do it. I have no assurance someone will handle this and it will be affecting my credit. What a joke. I have until 4/5/2022 to dispute this charge with the collections agency. Get it together.

I signed up for their Full Service online today before I Looked into their reviews here in the Wasatch Front area. Then I decided to look at the reviews and I saw that many people were absolutely not happy with their service, their add-ons that arent requested but they charge for and ultimately many are complaining about their yards not really looking any better, weeds still persisting etc. So, I decided to call and cancel. Well, it seems you can call and speak to someone pretty quickly, that is unless you want to cancel, in which case you will be put into a queue which the AI system will eventually come on and tell you your wait time is 60 minutes. Sorry, but I dont trust ANY Company that would keep ANYONE waiting that long on the phone to cancel their service. I will try through their website, and if that doesnt work then I will go through my CC Company and cancel. DO NOT COME TO MY HOME!
Horrible Customer Service on TruGreen side. They will not answer calls or emails. They Charge for new years service without permission. Will not ever use this service again. I sent an email to your response with no reply. Just because you reply to a review with a copied reply with a bogus email address will not solve your customer service issues.
Charged my card in the first of March. Its now the middle of April and they still havent put me on the schedule.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I live in Ogden Utah. I am making changes to my landscape and wanted to put all service on hold. Now I want to CANCEL FOREVER. I could not talk to anyone. Customer Service wait times are 2-3 hours. I left a call back and never got called. I tried the IVR to at least move the service date back and it wont even let me do that. The phone IVR just keeps going in loops and never takes action on what number you press. I just got a call saying I am scheduled for service tomorrow and I cannot again get a hold of anyone or use the automated system to postpone. BTW, the online system indicates you cant cancel the service without talking to a representative. They just hope you will give up. Not me..I will NEVER use TruGreen ever again.

My property was completely overlooked for Spring treatments despite calls and emails to customer service with subsequent promises for service. 45 minute wait times on the customer support line are unacceptable. Impossible to speak with a local branch directly. An easy choice to cancel and find a local-based provider.
Very unprofessional company! They did not keep our scheduled appointments to fertilize our yard & kept rescheduling. Finally after talking to management after 4 reschedules, we were promised they would show. Well, they did not show. I called customer service & they could not explain why we didn t get service. They offered to reschedule once again. Unbelievable! Do not use this company. Once they have your money (I prepaid for the year) they don t care about giving the service. I am with a different company now & will never use or recommend TruGreen. I m awaiting my refund.
Very bad experience with TruGreen. I had signed up last fall and had called and cancelled the service in April 2021. Was told that a supervisor was going to come to my home to look at the yard with me and my complaints. I never heard from a supervisor. Got a notification today May 18, 2021 that I had been resigned up with a plan and that I have a service set for tomorrow May 19, 2021 which I did not approve or sign back up! Been on the phone with TruGreen customer service for the past 2 hours to get this removed and look into it. Representative says that Carl V. contacted me on Saturday May 15, 2021 which did not happen and that I told him I wanted to sign back up. This is beyond a joke and is fraud to the highest degree!
I was a customer last year and they were great. This year is totally different. Had one treatment so far in March. I probably should have at least two treatments so far. I call no answer just keeps ringing or voicemail. I leave messages online no response. Currently looking for an alternative.
I prepaid for a two step weed and fertilizer plan. I had to make several calls when the billed my credit card without scheduling the first appointment. On the day the tech was scheduled, I received a text indicating he canceled my appointment due to road closure . My lawn crew figured how to get to my home, so the tech either couldn t problem-solve or didn t want to perform the work. I called customer service as soon as I received the text, but the tech did NOT come back or call. I definitely would NOT recommend using this company.
I tried Tru Green several years ago. They showed up the first time and were MIA after that. I had a client tell me have them spraying their lawn and that they were perfect. So I thought I would give them a try. I even got the head persons phone number and he said if I had any issues, let him know. I prepaid for the full year for the weed and feed service and also the shrub and bush service. They came out the first time and havent heard from them since. That was almost 3 months ago. To add insult to injury, their shrub service killed a 20 foot Arbivitae that was 15 years old. I was able to save the other 4 next to it. Nothing has change. I did get a partial refund for both services, but I had to call corporate. No communication from the Ogden office.
I had used them for 2 previous seasons without any issues. This year they came out in March and that was the last time. I was supposed to have 6 services per year, by June I should have had 3-4 services but they just quit coming out without any call or explanation. I called and talked to someone who said she couldn t see why they quit coming, card info was still good and it still showed it as an active account. She apologized and said someone would be out within 7 days. I saw it scheduled for the 10th in their app, and as of the 11th, nothing!! No communication at all. Time to start doing it my self again.
Only came out once in April! They told me they would be out in a couple weeks as they only applied the early spring fertilizer...when it had been several weeks since I called and the manager called back and left a message and states they will be out to treat by the end of May. Well waited a couple more weeks and then someone called and told me that he would pull some strings to get them out ASAP and they would be out by June 3rd at the latest....well here we are on the 11th and havent heard or seen any sight of them!! I have never had such horrible service!! I usually dont write reviews but I am appalled at the lack of customer service and response. Unacceptable! Will never use them again!!
Prepaid my service last year to get discount. TruGreen came out once in March and then never came back for 3 months. Their website says they come out every 4 to 6 weeks. Cancelled all services and still havent received my refund!
Pre-paid for the year and they haven t come in over two months. Every time I call it s more than an hour wait. Weeds popping up throughout the lawn. How do I get my money back?? Update: got a refund on the tree and shrub service. Their schedule would have had them fertilizing the trees well into the winter. I was told to call if I had a lot of weeds two weeks after a treatment. After the last lawn treatment, waited 4 weeks, tons of weeds. I called and they said it would be sprayed on the next scheduled treated 3 weeks away. Do not work with this company!
I prepaid for 5 applications for my lawn this year. They came out once in March and it was the worst fertilization job ever. I had green stripes where the fertilizer was placed and which was only a small portion of our yard. The tech left fertilizer all over our driveway and I had to go out with my blower and blow it off. I tried to call customer service and never got through. I tried to do an online chat with customer service and was disconnected. I would like a refund for the other 4 applications that I never received but their customer service is the worst.
Had trees and lawn done shory after trees were done they started dying 2 trees in front of house are dead now and one in back is halfway dead and the last one in back is a quarter dead will not ever recommend these guys to anyone
Paid for first lawn treatment and then decided to prepay or full summer when I called to get refund one tech told me they would rollover payment to next year and then another told me they would refund at the end of the year and then the other tech told me it was a service I had already received. That would have me paying $450 for a summer of lawn sprays and my lawn is yellow and full of weeds I would love to have a sign in my yard saying chemlawn treated and show the lack of professionalism don t work with these guys they are crooks !!
You guys have serviced my yard for years. The last 2 times you have provided service I have been greatly disappointed and called the office and tried to make you redeem yourselves. Yesterday, you came to do a treatment for mosquitos and left a paper in the door. First of all, i happen to be home and the guy never even came in the back yard. Thats mostly where they are. Also on the paper it indicated there was standing water in my yard. I walked my entire property and there was ZERO standing water anywhere in my yard or my neighbors. Also, said that there were edible produce or fruit and nuts. I have not one thing, bush, plant, whatever that is edible. Are you kidding! Then, I call this morning to talk to customer service about this and was on hold forever. I selected number 2 to receive a call back when the line was available so I no longer had to wait. They called me back and I could hear background noise but no one would answer or talk. I am so frustrated at this point. I think I have been lied to by the worker who put these comments on my receipt and completely ignored by customer service. NOT HAPPY!!!! Also I have complete yard care and I have included a pic of my weeds. They have NEVER been this bad.
Rick does a great job. He sprays everywhere, for mosquitoes and it s a bit tough to access all the nooks on my property. I highly recommend Rick
I have been using TrueGreen since 2017. I am not sure what happened this year but things went down hill pretty quickly. Issue #1 I had several different locations in the yard that had grubs or something like that destroying the grass. When the technician completed the service and was going to leave. I walked him over to the area in question for him to review. He confirmed it was most likely grubs. The technician seemed annoyed because he had to change the granular out to put in a grub granular. Instead of walking around and making sure no other areas needed to be completed the technician did one area and left. Issue #2 I requested Aeration and Seeding, and they never showed up. They did however charge me for the service. To get it fixed I was put into a queue for 40 minutes. I was finally able to get to a callback feature where I called back. When the agent called me back she put me on hold several times just to work out the issue. After a 20 minute phone call I finally just decided to cancel all of my services. I guess the Mosquito, Lawn and Aeration Seed service you where offering me was not worth it. I will find someone else who cares enough about me and my yard. Also, as a side note, I had another company come and do my trees and shrubs because the guy who called me on the phone to sell me the service forgot to call me back.
I live in Clinton, UT and boy, this was an eye opening experience. I seriously dont understand how they have any customers. I wanted this to work out so badly because I do need help with the weeds in my lawn. When signing up, you have no idea what is happening, and they for sure dont either. I was told someone would contact me to set up an appointment after signing up, that didnt happen. They just sent someone out randomly and didnt tell me. So I wasnt home for the 1st service, so I had no idea what I was paying for. I walked my lawn after they serviced the 1st time, there were no chemicals sprayed on the lawn so I called them. They said it was too hot to spray, so they told me they did a granular treatment, THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING DONE TO MY LAWN. I told them I wouldnt have signed up with I knew it was a granular treatment, I can do that. They said they would come out and perform the actual service at no charge. That didnt happen for about another month, and they charged me again for what should have been my 1st service. THIS DOES NOT GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF TIME IVE SPENT ON THE PHONE WITH THEM. THEY CALL YOU EACH WEEK TO ADD SERVICES (unreal when they totally goofed on the initial service). ITS A NO FROM ME, DAWG. LIKE A BIG ONE.

Just adding another 1 star review here. We are in North Ogden Utah. We had a nice green lawn with a few weeds throughout when we hired TruGreen. We now have a dead lawn which is not coming back after the summer. We have more weeds and have had insect issues. They came 2 times in the beginning of the year then did not come between April and August at all which is the timeframe we were requesting that they come out and take care of the grub issue. 7 or 8 cancelled appointments later, our lawn is dead. A half a dozen calls with their customer service call center have only yielded lies and more appointment cancellations. Its never good when you have the hold music for a customer service line memorized. Most recently, we had a tech report that they had come to service our lawn finally but we were around and they never came. We didnt even have the normal hang tag on our door. When I call customer service, I get more platitudes about how they are sorry and that they will have a service manager call which does not happen. Do not hire TruGreen. There are much better providers out there. Now I just have to either re-sod or seed and hope
An absolute terrible experience and company. My weeds are just as bad or worse than before. They say satisfaction guaranteed but how many times do you want to keep calling them. Ive had to after every service and still terrible results
Joining all the one-star reviews! We called to cancel service in August. Seemed like whatever they were doing wasn t helping our lawn/weeds and kinda making more weeds (is that even possible?!) The person took it as just that appointment. Then they took the liberty of rescheduling it for us and showed up this morning to do aeration. They got one strip done before I caught it and I m still charged ($216)?!?! The person I talked to said my card was already charged and nothing they could do. Do yourself a favor- don t use trugreen!
ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS SERVICE!! They will come out to your house, spend 1-2 minutes sprinkling granules on your driveway, then put the receipt on the door detailing what they had allegedly done, then leave. THIS HAPPENED TWICE IN A ROW. The first time I called and the lady apologized. I understand its hard to find good labor these days, so I let it go. They did a re-service and it was fine. They very next time it happened again!! In November they scheduled the winter treatment. The truck pulls up, I watch him get out, throw a handful on my sidewalk, go up to my door, then leave. The time he spent was literally 5 minutes. I have a text announcing his arrival. Five minutes later, I get another text saying the work is complete. My ring doorbell corroborates this. I have a big lawn that takes me 45 minutes at minimum. This is thievery and Im sure is illegal. You get charged, but no work is performed. Sad.

Can you get your driver out of the fast lane please? 50 in a 60 just pisses people off! This truck was leaving Cache Valley around 3pm on Monday, March 16. I tried to call to address this but your phone system is about as complicated and impersonal as they come.
I canceled my service with them and then about two weeks later someone came out and serviced my lawn early in the morning. I called about the charges and was asked for a cancellation number because they had no record of the call or cancellation. I didnt originally record this information because I trusted they would take care of it, thats my fault. My review is to be careful with them. The lawn treatment works, but theyre not always forthright in their business practices.
Please be careful they tell you one thing and then charge you another price. I got charged 96.90 more than what was confirmed in the email and then told well there is this and this. Shady people watch out
So after deciding to get help this year, and making the mistake of trusting my new front lawn and rest of my lot to true green, I called and explained that I want my grass in the front to be healthy, free of weeds, treated for dog urine and crab grass. In the back there is only dirt at the moment, but I want the whole back to be weed free. Please spray them all and help me keep them away until I can get topsoil and sod down eventually. On my west side will be a driveway and I need the weeds to also be kept away. That s all I wanted and said that the weeds are my number one priority beyond all else, and then the dog pee treatment in the front followed by the crab grass. What I actually got was 5 visits within a month. Visit one was they showed up, pellet fertilized the front but no treatment applied to dog pee spots, walked out back with a hose line, stood there for a minute, rolled up the hose and left. Visit two was sprayed my rocks and bark out front for what I am guessing was supposed to be weed killer, yet made them worse than ever. Visit three was from me requesting the weed be re sprayed because it s clearly not done in back or the west side of my house, they showed up sprayed my rocks and bark, sprayed something in the front grass but still nothing specific to the crab grass spots or dog pee spots, then left. Visit four also a return request, they showed up, sprayed rocks, looked over fence to my back yard then left. Final re spray request is Visit five where they showed up, opened my back gate, closed my back gate, and left after literally doing only one thing which was sending me the email to tell me they were done. All this was claiming to of given my yard a full service, yet never stepping foot on my west side, never killing any weeds out back, calling my dog pee spots a snow mold (trust me I know that mold all too well and how to treat it from my golf course maintenance days- and this is clearly not that), telling me I have crab grass and should treat it- uhhh I paid you for that idiot, enhancing the weed growth in my rocks and gravel somehow, and pretending to care for about the last three seconds of a phone call that started as more of an attack on me like I was lying to them when I cancelled the service the day before. The tone dramatically changed when I made it known that I not only was home for every visit while teleworking but also have it all on my security cameras. The call was ended fast after that with a promise to speak to me more, but I never heard from them again and only got about 390$ of my over 500$ I pre-paid them for the rest of this year. I feel really let down after spending that kind of money on my grass and thinking it was going to look so good this year while I am very busy with other tasks around my house. I guess I expected professionals to show up, and that is not what they have working your yards. They were all different people each time, and looked clueless like it was their first 8$/ hr job. P.S. the girl I spoke to when I asked for a refund was actually concerned, got my refund, and said she was going to make sure the GM knew - she was management material in my book.
This is the worst company. It takes a lot for me to take the time to write a review but this is worth it. To start they charged me more than what was quoted and their customer service has a snobby/sassy attitude even with me approaching things in a professional way. The biggest area they shine, however, is walking onto your property without notice! The first time I wasnt even home and came back to a note saying they went throughout my property when we had made it very clear we wanted to talk to someone the first time they came out. Of course!, they said, someone will always call you before they come out. The second time they came out was today, a week after the scheduled date and yet again, no notice! At 7AM I wake up to my dogs growling and a man walking through my backyard. I have a fully fenced backyard with a locked gate and signs of beware of dog and no tresspassing, yet he took the liberty to unlock it and go into my backyard freely without knocking or finding out if anyone was home. Tell me TruGreen, who would be at fault if he was attacked by my dogs? Or do I sign that away when I sign to have you show up whenever you please? This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and borderline illegal. Terrible, terrible, company and I wont be surprised if they randomly charge me again after Ive canceled. Maybe not though, Brooke from their customer service canceled my account with a great attitude and all the snobb you could ask for in customer service. My career is in sales and customer service. All your sales will be gone without good customer service. You suck TruGreen.
This place is a total scam. They keep coming even if you cancel the service. They are also overpriced.

Tru green is the worst. They show up unannounced, tresspass on your property,add things to your bill that you didnt ask for and dont cancel your account when you ask them too, causing you to be sent to collections. Do not use them. Ever.
I have some concerns with the Employee who started my contract, they added some services I never asked for, but on a whole TruGreen is great. My lawn has never looked so good.
The product worked good for my lawn but the customer service department are very rude and ignorant. I asked to cancel the service and had to argue with them to get them to cancel. The employee I talked to was very unprofessional. I will never use truegreen again because of my experience. I would recommend not wasting your time on them like I did.
I would give zero stars if possible. They ruined our lawn by burning it and then had the gaul to demand payment for it. We have called several times and after arguing about it, they said that they wouldnt bill us for it and then they hung up. Today we received a bill from collections from them. What a bunch of scam artists. Stay away from them.
I have over the last 15 years tried to maintain and treat my outside yard as best I could. I never achieved the level or health that I noticed in other yards treated and cared for by TruGreen. I even tried a different company for a year and still didnt achieve the results like I witnessed on TruGreen yards. I have now been with TruGreen for 3 years and couldnt be happier. They are professional, courteous, on time, and proform what they say they will. My yard has never been greener, healthier. All my neighbors notice and comment. I am a customer for live. Todd Miller

Horrible service, horrible communication, don t show up when they say they re going to. I gave them a chance. I have the only yellow lawn on my entire street. They said they would be out on April 11th to aerate which is late in the season to aerate.. they called me on the 9th and said they don t start aerating until the end of April. I called 1-800-Lawn Care and they took care of it for us within 48 hours.

Company is the worst! They reactivated my account without my permission and they said I reactivated it (which I didn t) why do business with such a company when they seem to be frauds.
We started many years ago with this company back when it was Scott s. Back then, it was great! Since TruGreen took over, it s gone consistently downhill. We get constant calls about trying to sell us more services and that seems to be the only time anyone wants to talk to us! If you call in, you can t really ever talk to anyone that knows anything about our lawn. We ve thought about canceling several times over the years but this last experience put us over the edge. Several years ago, I called in about July and told them that we had rings in our lawn. Supposedly they sent someone out to look at it and got back with me and said that we had grubs. They did a treatment and it seemed to clear up. The next year, they automatically did the grub treatment at the first of the year - without even asking if we wanted it. And, by the way... it s very expensive but being the trusting person I am, we paid it because we thought we needed it. The circles returned again in about July and so I called and they came out and re-sprayed the grub treatment. Again, in a few weeks it seem to go away. This same thing has happened for the last few years. Every single year, the dead circles get worse. This year, it s almost like 1/2 of our back lawn is dead! We finally had someone else look at it and coming to find out, we have necrotic ring syndrome. We don t have grubs at all! The necrotic ring syndrome is a fungus That shows up in the hottest months of the year and then starts to look better when the weather cools down. With them not treating it, it has gotten worse and worse every single year. It s now going to take several years to get rid of this fungus! If I could give this company a zero, I certainly would! My advice is to really think about hiring this company before you do. I have found another company that only had to take one look at our lawn and they knew exactly what was wrong. My question is, if the technicians that come out several times a year know anything, why wouldn t they know what was wrong with our lawn? The notes that you get after each visit are computer generated and are probably about the same for every customer. They have no idea what they re doing! BEWARE!!!
My lawn looks amazing. Thanks to JBH landscaping and TruGreen Lawn Care. They seem to be honest in what they do and seem to do a little extra if needed. I hope the tree applications works, one half of my walnut tree looks like it is dying. I will have to let you know if the tree application works and saves my tree and the other fruit trees in my yard.
I m posting this both in the Ogden location and Pocatello location because I m not really sure who is actually responsible for handling our account. Every time I call the Pocatello location, I get a call back from Marjorie in Ogden. In any case, we had used TruGreen to service our yard when we lived in northern Idaho and we were always pleased with the service and pricing. We assumed we would have a similar experience when we relocated to SE Idaho. We were wrong. They had quoted us based on an aerial view of our home, which is new construction and therefore an aerial view is not reflective of the amount of yard we need serviced. After we completed all of our landscaping, we requested to have someone come out to remeasure our yard. I called FIVE times and requested this service, always being promised they would be out in a week, before someone FINALLY showed up. I was told by Marjorie that the pricing for your services is on par for the size of your yard but then she said you d really only be getting back $7-8 per service ooookay? So why not offer to give that back to me? That s an extra $40 that I would get back. When I asked how I would get that money refunded, she said I needed to wait until my contract was complete and then I could either use that money towards another contract or request a check. Umm, okay. Fast forward to the end of August and we had our prepaid aeration partially completed in the front yard. The technician told us to contact TruGreen in a month so they could come complete the backyard aeration. I called FIVE times regarding this issue and was always told someone was being paged to our house to complete the service. Our service was rescheduled twice after calling due to a no show and on the third no show, I called and spoke to Marjorie again. She said I see that your aeration was completed in August . I had to explain AGAIN that this was for the backyard. Apparently they do take notes and keep them on your account but nobody reads them. I demanded a refund for my remaining services and a partial refund on the incomplete aeration. She said okay . Her cavalier attitude towards my request only makes me think that I ll be blown off again. I asked when I would expect this refund and she said confirmed it would approximately 10 days (believe me, my calendar is marked). I would NEVER recommend TruGreen in SE Idaho or Ogden for that matter. If I do not receive my $350+ refund in 10 days, I will be reporting to the BBB for theft and failure to deliver on prepaid services.
I have an in-ground swimming pool that is a good distance from the grass in my yard. When Trugreen applied a pellet type fertilizer, the pellets were all over the pool cover, the pool deck and even on a covered patio right up to the door to the house. When I called customer service they said they would send someone to clean it up, but no one showed up. I cancelled service with promise of a refund...that didn t happen either. They continue to call asking, why I fired them.
Guy tried to push me for service instead of letting me think about a price for aerating my lawn. Told him I had to ask the wife before I pulled the trigger. He said well you won t get me back so can you put me on hold? I asked him what that meant by not getting him back if I called back, he got pushy again and I told him I ll call back to whoever if I decide to do it. That s when he hung up. I won t be calling back. This is lawn care, not a car dealership. Stop trying to be pushy and Acting desperate. You lost a potential sell.
Don t expect to deal with anyone at the local office. They do a very good job at hiding themselves so you can t contact them directly. Callbacks don t happen unless they are dealing you service. For over $1000 annually, this is extremely poor service. Also, unwilling to cooperate on service times. Nothing after 2 pm.
The chemicals this company use have many carcinogens. Our healthy 7 year old pit is dead from a fast growing cancer on his bum and in his throat, he would rub his bum on the grass and eat the grass. Thy recommend to not let your dog out for an hour after they spray but the chemicals are harsh! Our 9 year old dachshund is sick now too. Coincidence I think not! Please don t go with this company for your dogs health.

We called TruGreen in Ogden to get a bid on lawn care. The sales associate was high pressure and would not listen to our request that we just be able to talk to a person before they did an application. They would not agree to this, so we told them not to come and to cancel. They came anyway. We were not prepared, we have a small dog who can get out with a doggy door. We were not home. When we told them they werent authorized to come and we did not want service, they still tried high pressure to get us to use them. After demanding that they do not charge as and do not come back, they still sent us a bill. I would NEVER use this company. Dont call them, dont give them any information.
This company was great for many years as Scotts Lawn. However, exactly when it became TruGreen in mid-2016, service became terrible. I had to call last summer to get a pre-paid treatment 5 weeks late. Then, by November I realized I had never received my last pre-paid treatment for 2016. No apology, no refund. Cancelled my service for 2017
The specialist came at the time of his appointment,knocked on the door and explained what he was going to do. At his completion he left a notice post on the front of the lawn and a notice on the door explaining the chemicals used and the condition of the grass. It must be working because we only had 1 dandelion and the grass has been growing like crazy.

TruGreen is fantastic. They always call the day before service is done to let me know my lawn will be cared for the next day and ask that I call if I have any question or concerns. To top that off, they have not missed an appointment that has been made. With respect to the appearance of my lawn, I would have to say I have one of the best looking lawns on my street, both front and back. I am truly happy with the service TruGreen provides and I am more than satisfied with the results I see with my lawn. The thing I love most about TruGreen is, they do advertise other services and products they offer, but they do not bother with phone calls or upselling. They provide me with information on the service VIA a flyer and allow me to decide if I want it or not. I will continue to use TruGreen as long as I live here or in any other area they provide service. I can honestly say that it is well worth the money spent. Before hiring TruGreen, I spent more money on my lawn, caring for it myself.
Only wanted to know pricing and was stuck on the phone for 20 minutes to a very pushy salesman. I still get called monthly by more pushy salesmen, even after telling them no every time.
They have not been very attentive to my lawn needs.

Terrible experience. Harrased by theyre sales people via phone after requesting a quote for 2 days multiple times a day. Told them I wanted to discuss it with my husband and then they would continue to try to get you to say yes before getting off the phone. Was disgusted with the pushy sales tactics and told them I wasnt interested anymore. They continued to call. A district manager named Randy then called and apologized and was very nice and helpful. He then talked me into trying them out. One of my concerns was that my dogs needed to be taken care of before they come so i specifically asked him whether they call before they come and he assured me they do. I received an automated call saying when a tech would be out but a couple days before the scheduled day one of theyre techs just showed up. Then for the 2nd application I got the automated call and we got our dogs squared away but they never showed up. Theyre recording did say if there was inclement weather they would not come, however the weather was fine that day. Then for our 3rd and last treatment of the year they just showed up while we werent home. Never got the automated call. They didnt have access to our back yard so they put down fertilizer in the front yard only. Our lawn was covered in leaves so not sure how beneficial the treatment really was. Had we known they were coming we would have made sure the leaves were picked up. After placing a call to the district manager Randy and never getting a call back we decided to just cancel. Stick with somebody local. Too big of a company and too unorganized apparently.
I had a good experience with them for the last three years, but now they have merged with another company and they have been very hard to work with. Cancelled my account. BTW, This number puts you to their call center in New Jersey
This has been a frustrating experience so far. I have called several times and asked to talk with someone in charge about the fertliziers used on my yard and I have been told someone will call me back, but it has yet to happen. The service on most of my lawn has been great, though the weeds have grown rampant on the edge of my yard that borders a field.
Service has been good in the beginning 10 years + ago but has since lost all and or any regard for the customer. False promises and poor follow through from staff and even worse the Management team. When their treatment isnt working it s like pulling teeth to get them to correct the issue. You will be further ahead to look into other companies who would value the customers more.
This Scotts location is an absolute train wreck. Stay far away from them as they can not seem to keep their promises nor accounting accurate. We were unsatisfied with our service in the middle of last year and asked that they cancel our account. In exchange for paying for one additional service, they agreed to do our fall treatment for no charge and then the account was to be cancelled. We reluctantly agreed as I knew I wouldnt have time to go out there and fertilize the lawn after the dreaded summer heat and we were willing to give them a second chance. They came out for the free service as scheduled, but then came out to do a winter treatment after we were told our account was already canceled and tried billing us for it. No one would return my calls to clarify this matter. I left several calls and heard nothing in reply. I even sent a message through the online account center - NOTHING. Their first attempt at reaching out to talk to me was to hire a collection agency to pursue collection - for an account that was already cancelled. We had even moved out of the house by the time they supposedly did the treatment. How daft do you have to be to refuse to call people back and simply manage an account? This company doesnt deserve your business. Go local and with someone who actually cares about you and your lawn. This business is a worthless piece of trash that deserves not a single second of thought in your mind. I highly recommend you find someone who REALLY will take care of you and not screw you over.
