As far as customer service they are excellent. However I had them redo my whole yard and over half of it is now patchy at best. I had more grass before they leveled my yard. AND they use rolls of hay instead of bales and the netting is still getting wrapped up on my lawnmower blades! I guess theyre good at simple landscaping, but I do not recommend using them for installing a new lawn. 10,000 dollars and I have a patchy lawn and the netting continues to tangle up in my mower. Be sure they dont use the netting. Its terrible. Wish I knew about that before I hired them.

My husband and I developed thistle in our yard this year that spread like wildfire. When we called around, other companies didn t seem to listen to our main concern of getting rid of the thistle. When I called Blades of Grass I talked to Kelly and she instantly made me feel like she was listening. She took into account the current condition of the yard and what was important to us. She could not have been nicer. Today, we had our first fertilizer treatment and weed spray put down by them. Mike R came out and BLEW US AWAY! We previously worked with another landscaping company that wasn t addressing our concerns. They would show up without letting us know they were coming and they would just leave without saying a word to us. Mike did not do that! He actually approached my husband to introduce himself and let him know what he was here to do. I walked outside to talk to him, just to make sure my flowers would be okay, and again, could not have been nicer. He shook my hand, introduced himself, and explained what he was there to do. He had such a warm smile and a kind personality. He was thorough going around our yard and I didn t feel like he just rushed to get the job done. I received a text when he was about 5 minutes away from our house, and another text when he was done to tell me what he did and the condition of the yard/ what to expect. This to me is top tier service. I am so thankful we found someone we feel comfortable with that we are excited to continue to work with! I ve had a very good customer experience with this company. First off Courtney is very knowledgeable, and has a positive attitude. She s also kind and courteous. Everything I asked for she made sure she communicated that with the guys that came out to provide service. She also returns phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. Blades of grass came out very promptly, and I noticed that they did their best as far as getting me in as soon as possible. The guys that provided the service , Mike, Matthew, and Kenny executed exactly what I needed. The guys made sure they introduced themselves to me and my mom. They were very patient with us, and invited us to answer as many questions as we needed. They totally transformed my yard, and I ve been so satisfied with the results, that I ve joined their maintenance program. This company is very professional, and they have excellent customer service, in addition to excellent results, I recommend them to all my neighbors.

Oh my gosh! I could not be more pleased with the landscape team from Blades of Grass Landscaping. From my first contacts with Kelly and Courtney in the office to my yard assessment with Joe, the owner and to the work team of Emily, Myron, and Michael, I was impressed. Each person was professional yet warm and courteous. The many beds in my yard were a mess, full of thick weeds I found beyond control and perennial beds that had lost their glory, yet each person had a pleasant we can do it attitude, and they absolutely did do it. When Emily, Myron, and Michael worked, they WORKED non stop! Within two days, they turned my yard from an embarrassment to one that neighbors have complimented. What luck that my daughter found this company on the internet.

I contacted Blades of Grass in a bit of a bind, I was putting my home on the market in a very short time and needed some work done quickly. Blades of Grass was very quick to come out, listen to what I wanted done and give me an estimate followed by scheduling the service super quick. The team of gentlemen that came out were professional and did a wonderful job, I couldnt have asked for more. And, shockingly, the work that was done managed to withstand the storm that produced several tornadoes and knocked out power to a good portion of the state for a week. This is our third season with Blades of Grass and unlike some companies that might slack off over several years, the quality of their services remains at a very high-level. They are extremely reliable and proactive, often texting me when they see something they want me to know about and I m not home. They recently even texted me that they saw a leak from my sprinkler system PVC pipe. That saved me a lot of time and trouble. They do a wonderful job and we could not be happier with their services. Great looking lawn, best it s looked in the 18 years I have lived here in Elyria. We switched to a local company (Blades of Grass) after being with TLC for 2 years. TLC is headquartered in Massachusetts, and we were never able to talk to a real person before an application. Not so with B.O.G. Nice office staff and technicians.They send you an email notification before every in-person visit. Mike the technician is excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any question. I am glad we switched!

Blades of Grass is a great Lawn Service/ Landscape company. When we moved into our home 4 yrs ago we had weeds and poor quality grass. Blades of Grass turned it around the first season and now it s a thriving lawn. Mike does our monthly lawn service and he friendly & professional and also helpful with simple plant/weed identification questions. We are picky in wanting the driveway & sidewalks blown clear and Mike always does a clean-sweep w/ the blower. Our first landscape redo was 2020 when we moved in. This Summer - they re back for more! Mike came today for the second application of pre-emergent weed control and fertilizer. I like the fact that we are notified two or three days before of the appointment as well as notification 10 minutes prior to arrival. He takes such care to make certain everything has been covered, and then he blows extra fertilizer both off the street and sidewalks. Mike always explains what he is about to do. Im very impressed with Blades of Grass!

I engaged Blades of Grass to perform landscaping on a property held by an Estate. No maintenance had been performed on the property in many years. The bushes were so overgrown that the house was not even visible. Blades of Grass did an outstanding job. When their work was completed the yard looked expertly manicured. The work was performed in a timely manner and the workers cleaned up after themselves so well that you wouldnt even know that they had just undertaken a massive job. Wonderful experience from initial visit with Kelly to discuss what we wanted done to completion of project. Within a week after consultation received email with quote & rendering of the design . Crew Jonah, Myron, Michael & John were professional, showed up on time. Jonah walked me through the process. Started by removed shrubs, installed new plants ( just as pictured). Cleaned work area and told me how to care for new plants. Already scheduled next project in September for lawn install.

Blades of Grass did an excellent job. Kelly was extremely helpful and patient with me while making suggestions and helping me make decisions to design our backyard project. Jonah was the crew leader and was very courteous and considerate of our yard, our schedule and the placement of shrubs and trees. The only thing I would like to say is that we specifically talked about wanting a row of arborvitae s for privacy. The trees are really small and won t help us with any kind of privacy for MANY, MANY years to come. Quotes come in gallons which doesn t help someone that isn t familiar with how that equates to actual size. Even though I am sure it was on the quote somewhere. I do believe it was my assumption that they understood our goals and I didn t do my due diligence to ensure the trees were going to be big enough. I am a lay person that hired professionals to guide me. This is just a heads up to someone else that may not understand, as we didn t. I am giving them 5 stars because I loved working with this company. They were professional and responsive and did a wonderful job. We plan to use them in the future and look forward to working with them again.

This was our first time using Blades Of Grass. I am absolutely thrilled with what they did. We had an over grown hosta garden. Way too much work for us to take on. They came out and in one day completely transformed my front garden. The workers were friendly and worked really hard. I definitely recommend them!

We once again employed Blades of Grass to do a large landscaping job which consisted of mulching , bush trimming, plus a few new bush and tree plantings. As before the entire experience was perfect from start to finish. The crew led by Jonah and Emily worked tirelessly and gave extra attention to every detail. I highly recommend Blades of Grass. We had them do a large clean up, removal of old bushes and install new plants. I was very impressed with the professionalism and responsivenesses throughout the entire process.

We had our entire front yard re-landscaped and from beginning to end Blades of Grass services were amazing. They were timely coming to the house to assess our home and provide a quote. Prices were reasonable compared to other landscape services. If I had questions or wanted to make changes Kelly was always available to talk. On installation day, Jonah and his team were prompt, efficient and did great quality work. He was easy to communicate with and made sure we we liked the design before anything was planted. Our yard now looks incredible thanks to the Blades of Grass team. We will use them again in the future if we need more work and would highly recommend.

I had all of my mulch areas removed and replanted. The team from Blades of Grass removed old plants and made new beds in one day. The next day was spent on planting, edging and mulching. The team answered questions completely. I received many good suggestions for my new yard. Im very happy with my experience.
