Went in to grab a part for my snowblower. No one was at the desk or responded to me when I asked for assistance. Terrible customer service. Never using them again
Came in on a whim to see if they had a niche motor belt in stock. The owner looked online for a while and couldn’t find anything. However, he went to the back of his store for a couple of minutes and was able to find the belt on one of his rigs. He was nice enough to sell me the belt off the rig. (Belt was in very good condition). He went the extra mile to help me out in a desperate moment. Very kind and helpful owner, goes above and beyond the average business owner.
Nice and honest people. Good work on small engines too.
Too long to wait for snowblower repair Took my machine in and waited more than 2 months for repair. Their priority are fleet repairs and the little guy gets forgotten. The sign out front says 2-4 weeks for repairs today. Should be 2-4 months. Never go back.
This company does not answer the phones. I have tried calling them more than 20 times and it always goes to voicemail with instruction not to leave a message. They have had my leaf blower for over six months and they have still not fixed it or reached out to me. Extremely frustrating to do business with. Highly recommend going somewhere else if you want to be serviced.
It seam that each it I got to cliff's I have grat experience when buying parts for my equipment all ways have a good experience from the guys I strongly recommend they guys right straight to the point and know the problem like the back or the hand
Very sorry to say, but this business is very dishonest and they don’t stick by their word. I had my lawnmower fixed here. I told him what I needed done and I wanted done and they charged me. I paid for the service and they still didn’t do the job correctly. I had to bring my lawnmower there three times and it still didn’t get done to this day, they promised me heart to be put on at no cost to me whatsoever and now they’re backing out on their word. At this point, it has nothing to do with the part that I need for the lawnmower. It has to do with what they said to me what would be done I’d much rather take my business somewhere else and pay double then to give them any business at all, I will never return to that business And unfortunately, they don’t care as they said they don’t care about my business because they have a lot more other business coming in. That’s a sad way to run a business. I will definitely be telling all my friends and family and definitely not recommending them.
I had a situation where I needed some help/support outside of what Cliff’s would normally provide. I spoke with Steve who quickly made the appropriate arrangements. I can’t say enough about the help they provided me in my time in need. Thanks to Steve, Gary and the rest of the team at Cliff’s.
Always friendly and knowledgeable staff to assist Great merchandise
Found this lawn care equipment and parts selling shop while exploring extract match for my Remington gas lawn mower broken blade. Must recommend shop with reasonable price
Business must be really great for these folks, as they NEVER ANSEWER THE PHONE!
Steve is very helpful. Knowledge, experience and friendly service
Cliffs is the best, amazing service, great mechanics, always have what I need, always well stocked and have gotten us out of a pinch more than once!
All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and always willing to help. Highly recommended for sales and service!
Needed a part for a 20 year old mower, they had it. Friendly and helpful too
Very helpful staff. I was a little bit of a pest buying parts for my old lawnmower. They also have a huge selection of stihl chainsaws and mowers.
Hubby loves this place for all his lawn equipment. Prices are better than other places.
Very professional!
Excellent service and very knowledged.
Great knowledgeable service every time
The only place to buy lawn and garden equipment!
I left my snow blower for a major cleanup . Plug , belts , filter , primer ect. Took months and could not reach them . So ok Covid caused a lot of issues. I went back to them since it is still a very hard start. Asked for them to look at it but no not until next fall. I asked them to reconsider since I expect only a tweet is needed however I was told Steve would call. Did not happen , not sure if Steve is a person or this just meant get lost. Not pleased and ticked would be an understatement.
Staff were extremely pleasent and helpful with my new purchase. Went out of their way both on the phone and in the store to answer my questions and ensure I was familiar with it. Very enjoyable experience. Will be back again.
Great service!!!
Bad repairs twice. Took forever. I had it repaired and within two weeks, ie using it a couple of times the engine was stalling again. Wasn t a lot of snow that winter so I took it back in June and was still waiting for them to repair it in October. After numerous calls they returned it to me in late November. When I got it back it worked a couple of times again and it failed again. I took it somewhere else and he said the fuel line had been draped across the flywheel and was half worn through. Not trusting these guys again.
Great place for sales and service. I bring all my gear here when it needs a repair I cant do.
Good service, reliable repairs. Had my snow blower tuned up here and still runs good. My only quibble is somewhat high price of some parts.
My go to small engine shop. Family owned, great people.
Great family run small engine repair, landscape, hydraulic repair shop I wont go anywhere else. Stihl dealer just makes it that much better, have some fun this summer grab a chainsaw!
In a world of big box stores, were lucky small businesses like this are still here to offer superior customer service. Over the past year I purchased multiple pieces of equipment and each experience was the same: excellent advice, great pricing, friendly, and my equipment came assembled, fueled- up and ready to go. I wont go elsewhere for this sort of purchase.
Very rude in customer service and unacceptable to be talking like that to anyone .. I will never ever go there again
Great customer service and mechanics. Don t hesitate to deal with the guys at Cliff s
Great selection of new and used equipment. Dave is helpful, and was able to repair issues with my mower in a timely manner.
Awesome customer service. Steve and Dave are among the best and I buy and take all my equipment there to be serviced. Most recently, I had a follow up call to a cement saw they fixed to see if it was working to my satisfaction. Highly recommended.
Ordered parts. Will not answer phone now. I have been trying to come in contact for 3 days and been waiting for parts for over 2 weeks. First and last time ill be dealing with these folks. Called up another stihl provider had parts in with in 5 days. The effort speaks for itself.
Needed a new edge for our plow. Dropped it off and was done same day. Great shop to get work done. Thanks guys! Happy Plowing
Friendly & helpful staff. Excellent selection of snow blowers assembled & ready for immediate purchase. They even filled the tank with gas & insisted on helping me load it into my vehicle. Thank you Steve! Now, more than ever, I prefer to support local, family-run businesses. They are the backbone of our community.
Small engine needs, no where else to go looking, this is the place to be, I love this place. Believe me, Ive called so many places nearby in Burlington or Milton, but none come close to what this Cliffs can help you finding parts, and genuinely spend time to get you what you need. This place deals with all kind of domestic equipments, snow blowers, lawn mowers, weed hackers etc.
Awesome and friendly place
Cliffs Lawn and Garden isnt the best place to go. If you read all the other reviews, youd swear that Cliffs is a great place to bring in your equipment to get it serviced. And if everything goes correct, you will likely be a happy customer. -BUT- When everything goes wrong your going to be left wishing you hadnt. I brought in my Arian snowblower in to get it serviced. It needed new belts and a control cable so I figured Id get it serviced at the same time. They were very friendly taking my snowblower in, but from that point onwards it was terrible. They took in far more blowers for service than they have staff to do the work. I was told it would likely be around 3-4 weeks to get serviced, but ended up taking closer to the 7 week mark. Trying to find out what is going on by phone is pointless. The lady answering the phone can be outright rude and really doesnt care to give you any help. Finally got my snow blower back at the end of November, sadly after a huge dump of snow where I had to shovel manually as my blower wasnt yet returned. Cost of $430 for parts and labour, so its not cheep. It did not snow in December, so there wasnt any real chance to test it out. When it did snow in January, the faults were very apparent. 1. The gas tank wouldnt hold gas and it just leaked out. (its general that you leave the tank full of fuel). 2. When the motor was running and trying to throw snow, it was gutless and wouldnt throw snow more than 5 feet. As if it was running at 1/3 the power. Of course, it snows on Weekends and Cliffs is closed so your now stuck until Monday morning. Now you have to deal with the lady who answers the phone to try and get directed to someone who worked on your unit. Guess what.. they will blame you and its now your own fault its not working and your expense to get it back down to them. Turned out they installed the Carburetor gasket wrong and that flooded the engine. As if that was my fault. But I am stuck paying to get fixed. They dont give you any updates when you call. Dont call back even if they say they will. They are just a badly run shop. And the sign inside their showroom says it all. You are responsible for any equipment left here for repair. Obviously they dont feel they are, even if the problem is caused by their own negligence.
Cliffs service is first rate ......very happy with the repairs and communication. Would highly recommend their service and repair costs were reasonable.
Bit of a wait to get in (Covid spacing) but quickly and efficiently served once inside.
Understaffed for the amount of work they be ready to wait
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Much better than going to a big box stores with employees that have little to no training
Love this place. Helpful staff and they always gave the parts in stock that I require.
Great, knowledgable and friendly staff!!
Bought a used Toro snowblower that was a complete lemon. Obviously they through it on the floor for cash and never checked it out. Starts on their floor but no where else, when you call them they say it should start because its a Toro Had a Toro before and never had these issues.
I get all my small engine stuff here. Mowers, snowblowers, trimmers, chainsaws, all of it. The people that own it and work there are knowledgeable and very helpful if you need some advice. I have walked into that place with some pretty bizarre parts requests and they always have what I need on hand.
Very capable of handling lawnmower and snowblower repair and service.
Always there when I need them.
They know their stuff.
Best lawn equipment shop in Halton. Friendly service. Great selection of products.
Very good service
Great service friendly staff.
Unbelievably friendly staff, they only wants what s better for us as customers even if it means not to sell what they have.
Good little shop, reliable repairs for a reasonable rate . Can t beat cliffs!
Best place in Oakville to go for small engine repairs. Very friendly and helpful service always fast and honest.
Very helpful.
These guys are great. Best equipment, reasonable prices and they know what theyre talking about.
Too expensive parts selling for small engines
Great service and advice.
Knowledge folks, excellent products. Not much more (if any) than the big box stores.
Customer service is A1
Love these folks
Always on hand to offer advice and help with lawn maintenance tools. Far better than any big box store.
Astounding customer service! Very overdue in praising these wonderful people! Was in last summer. I had a universal mowing blade that kept falling off. They made sure it stayed on permanently and wouldnt accept any payment! I thought customer service was a lost art. Thank you for renewing my faith.
What a wonderful experience! I never give a 5-star rating, but it is warranted here. I had a negative experience at another business in Oakville and decided to check out Cliffs through a friends referral. The location is easy to find with plenty of parking. The store is extremely organized, well laid out and lots of products and parts readily available. I interacted with three staff members on two separate occasions who were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I came in to have the blade sharpened ($10) and pick up oil and filter to do my own basic maintenance. The cost of the oil was within range of Home Depot and Canadian Tire, but the cost of the identical filter was cheaper! $11.20 at Canadian Tire and $7 here. The blade was heavily rusted when I brought it in and it was returned sharpened and excess rust removed. I am not mechanically inclined and staff took their time to thoroughly answer my questions about changing the oil, extracting contaminated gas, what type of gas to use and how to properly store it over the winter. Ive worked in customer and client service for decades and this was a great experience.
Friendly and informative staff. Honest repairs. But you might have to wait a couple weeks.
Always excellent service..keeps Kensington Lawn equipment running strong!
Amazing not only did I get what I wanted but for less than home depot & minus the attitude. Great service& they assembled it for me. Love love Cliffs
Didnt actually hire Cliffs to repair my lawn mower because they had a long wait time, but they gave me advice over the phone and it worked! So Im grateful for that. Will call again when I run into a problem I cant fix.
Oakville is fortunate to have this business gem. It has been family owned and operated since the beginning. David took over from his father after years of experience in the service department. Their honesty and integrity are well known. You always get treated fairly by people who know equipment. If you need power equipment this is the place where you will get competitive pricing and will be looked after long past the warranty expires. I been dealing here since 1986 and they have never dissaponted.
Prompt personal good friendly service at reasonable price.
They know their stuff, friendly staff too
Good service
Great guys, always willing to help you out!
V helpful staff!!
A great and TRUSTWORTHY place to purchase or fix your lawnmower or snowblower. Repair and tune-ups are done right the first time. Trust no one else but Cliffs!!!!!
A great group of knowledgable people. I bought an Ariens snowblower at Cliffs and they were very helpful. Answered all my questions and threw in a few pieces of advice and information that I hadnt considered when doing my own research. I have called them a couple of times with questions about the operation of my machine and they have been very helpful over the phone as well. Ill be returning to Cliffs for future purchases and service.
Experienced and knowledgeable staff
I was looking a spark plug for our TORO snow blower which I bought in Home Depot few years ago. After searching unsuccessfully in Canadian Tire and Parts Source, I went to Home Depot expecting surely to find it, as I bought the snowblower there. To my surprise they had just only ONE, which is not even the size I needed. Fortunately, staff there referred me to Cliffs. I live in Oakville for 14 years now but I never heard of Cliffs. Tucked in deadend of Modern Road, North of Speers, this place has pretty much any spare parts for any lawn and garden equipment. Besides selling parts, they also sell new & used lawn mowers, snowblowers. They repair, service and maintain these equipments. BTW after some searching on their computer they were able to find my spark plug. If you are a DIY kind of a person, you should check Cliffs first. Staff are very friendly too and knowledgeable, not like one you get in CT or HD. Prices are very reasonable. Similar spark plug costs over $8 in CT but here I paid just over. $5.
Great place to come too if youre interested in looking for parts or lawnmower and repairs for the winter I like that they have after hours line that you can call
Steve and dave and bill and marie are the bestest!
great local service, with all the parts in stock..
