Have been using Turf Tenders for a few years now. Can t complain, my lawn looks great with there fertilizing an aeration s. They have also helped me with a few trees an bushes that seem to have been sick but there root feedings an pest control seems to have bounced them back very well!

We have a large lawn and it s has a variety of different grasses over the years. After using turf tenders for a couple of seasons you would be hard pressed to find a weed. During the year with road and gas main repairs taking place on our yard the contractor doing the yard restoration planted (cheep)inferior grass seed with lots of weed seed in it when it started to take over in that area turf tenders owner came of made a recommendation and that area now looks a good as the rest of my yard. I know nothing about fertilizer but I m glad the do or I would have lost my yard to weeds

Rude customer service. They never come on time for applications, technician just sits in truck and do nothing & go back with fake door paper of service. They never come if you call and say there are weeds in my lawn & say we have to wait for all the weeds to come out. Even after service weeds are in lawn they never come back and treat them and say theyll do it next time when theyre treating lawn. Horrible customer service! MARK MY WORDS, STAY AWAY FROM THEM! There are lot of good companies with same pricing and some better who care about customers & provide good customer service.

This company is HORRIBLE. The person you talk to on the phone is very unprofessional and disrespectful. U call to get services and they say they will be at your house in a week and two-three weeks pass and they still haven t came. DO NOT GET SERVICES FROM THIS COMPANY. WORST COMPANY FOR LAWN SERVICES.

Avoid at all costs. Prepaid for service. No notification of application dates. After 2 applications, had zero difference in lawn as compared to last year. Called after each application to find out what was applied and what expectations should be, since there was no correspondence from them or their technicians. Their agent wanted to blame our watering plan (Rachio system 3x per week that automatically adjusts itself with saturation probes) which is ridiculous. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Pay the extra $ to a more reputable company for both a superior customer experience as well as a superior lawn.

I have been using Turf Tenders for two years now and I ve officially cancelled my service. My yard looks worse than when I didn t have any yard service a few years back. After four applications since March, my front yard is still filled with crab grass and weeds.

I just canceled my account for next year. When they ask why I reported that they do not fertilize part of my lawn. when he asked me how I knew I told him because when a granular fertilizer is put down, I can always see the residual on my driveway and the walkway around my pond. The caller says it s a law that they have to blow it off the driveways and walkways after it s applied. When I told him that they have never done it at my home, he says by law they have to do it and I know it s done. With that he hung up the phone. The law is one thing and what is actually done is something else. Beware of hiring this company because they do not follow the law or their own procedures .

I have been a customer for many years. The last few years of service haven t been the best. Noticed more weeds even though the treatments were done. Some technicians do a better job than others but my grass still looks better than most of my neighbors.

I ve had Turf Tenders manage my front lawn for two years running. I m pleased with the results. I originally rated Turf Tenders three stars due to cost issues, but the very next day, one of their team reached out to me by phone and explained the reasoning behind my charges. I am impressed with the fast response and genuine care for the customer that Ive experienced with the staff at Turf Tenders. I have adjusted my rating to five stars as a result of their exemplary customer service.

Disappointed in customer service especially trying to force customers into yearly contracts that bind over from year to year without a legal signature. They started off okay, however, like most businesses closed during Covid Pandemic and reopened to try and make up for loss revenues...not on my dollar! Slow responding but they finally came today to treat the weeds,..theyve got the upper hand but well see if they survive the spray they got today 30 days later...te weeds are taking over and the crabgrass I paid to be treated is even worse. I sent pictures to no avail. Ive put $5000.00 into this lawn this year and it looks worse than last. It desperately needs fertilizer, 2 applications of a 6 app program is just killing it! cancel satisfactory review!!!

I ve used turf tenders for three years. The first year of using them they used too much product and burnt a section of my grass. I told them what happen and they did come out to repair it. But the next year it only got worse. Each year since there s been a bare spot in the middle my lawn and now they re telling me they re not responsible. I called them to explain that there still isn t any grass in that area. The rep, Craig said it s not their concern and hung up on me. In addition to the bare spot in my lawn, my lawn always had weeds even after a full treatment. Please do not use this service. It s a scam!!

Turf tender came out did grub and charged $75 . When I initially signed up told monthly fee $37.50. That what I budget for, $37.50. Then I saw the person on camera and I was home said grass was too high but did partial of front. Said the back was too high. The back and front were same length. I called today to inquire if person did side of home front. Gentleman became combative. I ended service. Let Custer know before leave $75 bill also make sure the whole yard being done. Very in-satisfied!

While the lawn applications were great their attention to detail is seriously lacking. I have had to call MULTIPLE times regarding locking our gate after they were done. We have a pool and plenty of small children in the neighborhood. That is serious. Lock the gate. If someone were to drown?! We also requested they steer clear of the pool with granular application and if it does get on the patio to please blow it into the lawn. Again, multiple calls and this was only done a couple of times. I was assured both these things would happen. Unfortunately, we had to fire their services after several years and several second chances. Not locking the gate puts us in a serious situation that we could not be a part of. I pre paid and have requested a refund.

Turf Tenders came highly recommended. I switched from a different service and I prepaid. So far they are doing a good job. I am fussy about my lawn, and I hope Turf Tenders is as well. Reasonable pricing and good service

We used this company for 4 years and have ok service. There were a few times I needed to call but for the most part was a good service for a good price. Today I received a collection phone call from the owner craig stating I agreed verbally to a grub control when he called me a couple months ago. he was calling to collect $50. I never agreed to any $50 grub control over the phone to treat our lawn. Once I disagreed he kept saying yes you did yes you did yes you did. So the reason today for asking them to never to return to our property is because of the attitude from the owner. I believe there is much to say in how you approach people and in my personal opinion craig needs a customer care class. Best of luck to you.

This is the first year Ive used Turf Tenders and my lawn is greener, thicker and fairly weed free. Best its looked in the 10 years Ive been here. Would recommend Turf Tenders to all my friends in the area if they asked about lawn companies. Very satisfied.

Turf Tenders personnel put down very little pre-emergent early in the spring and now I have more weeds than any of my immediate neighbors who do not pay for any such service. I called about this at that time and was told to let them know if any weeds present themselves. Late July and they said that someone would be out, but they have not done anything. This is consistent with many of the other poor reviews for Turf Tenders, and there are plenty. I cancelled my service today as i cannot do any worse by doing absolutely nothing. Google needs to include a zero star option for companies like this.

These guys are really great. Im not going to throw names of other companies I have used. But man oh man, for the money, the care, well they dont get all of weeds, but who does. I am in Colorado and my Dad used this business in Michigan. Dad moved out of Michigan to Colorado in March 2022. Turf Tenders continued to provide lawn services because Dad did not cancel the service and I did not know about the service to cancel it. After receiving a bill, I called Turf Tenders and spoke with Craig. Craig was not much help. After submitting this review I received a call from Kurt the General Manager. I explained the entire situation to Kurt and we were able to come to a resolution that was acceptable for both sides. I would like to see communication via USPS rather than just phone calls and door hangers. Thanks for the help Kurt.

By far the best Lawn Fertilizer company Ive had doing my lawn for years. The Technicians take theyre time and do it RIGHT. Theyre a little pricey ( but these days who isnt ) besides its the end results that matters !!! Positive Quality, Professionalism

This is our second year using Turf Tenders. We had bought our house last year and unfortunately inherited a lawn that was not taken care of. Turf Tenders brought it back to life and they keep it looking awesome. The attendants servicing the lawn have always been courteous and professional and leave the invoice/services performed right at the front door.

Turf Tenders has helped our lawn by working on eliminating unwanted ground covers, weeds and pests. The effects are very noticeable as over the years weve had ground covers in our lawn that have been difficult to get rid of. Using Turf Tenders has dramatically reduced and is now close to eliminating these issues and with the use of their fertilizer products our lawn has retained its pillow like appearance.

Im a recent widow and weve always had immaculate grass. I was refered to Turf Tenders by a family member and it has been a disaster. I recieved my 1st spray in April and after having to call 4 times and being disrespected by the gentleman rep. I finally recieved my 2nd application in June. Immediately after the 2nd spray, my grass started discoloring. I have auto sprinklers that come on every other day in the evening. 2 days after I recieved my 2nd application, someone called asking about another application that was not included in my 6 prepaid applications. I informed them that I was at work. My Husbands family to comes in on Wednesday for his memorial and Im so imbarrassed because everyone knows how hard he worked on his lawn. By the way, I have request a call back from mngt several times. Are you all sabotaging my grass on purpose? Please refund my remaining balance!!!

I highly recommend this company. This is my first year with them and so far I am 110% satisfied with the service. I called earlier this week regarding a concern I had with one of my applications. Kyle listened to my concern and provided an explanation that made sense from a professional. I also mentioned during that conversation that although my crab grass issue is better I still have some. Even though that wasnt the purpose of the call Kyle heard me and today they returned to give extra attention to this issue. I am big on Customer Service and that is why Tuff Tender got the extra 10%. They have set the bar for my expectation and will keep me as long time customer as long as the CS bar stay high.

Green grass but common weeds are taking over my lawn (see photo) especially nearest side walks and landscaping edges. This is my 2nd season with Turf Tenders and I am still not impressed with the quality of weed control application and results. I work from home and have had an opportunity to watch each application as its being applied. To date, Ive only witnessed one QUALITY broadcast weed control application in 2 years. My concerns have been (called several times), that the Tech typically comes the day after I cut my grass (grass and weeds same level), he does not attach the broadcast sprayer to his equipment to BEST control ALL weeds and rather spot treats what he might see, and totally misses 99.9% of the weeds. Ive even had one Tech (only seen him once) drive his equipment in circles around my yard, (zero product being applied, no spot treatment hose in hand) only to leave wheel tracks and a Turf Tenders yard sign as if to fool me into thinking I received an application. ZERO product applied that day! ZERO Mike and Kyle have both said after 10 days, if you still see weeds, just give us a call, I call again and again and weeks later still no follow up application saying we dont apply weed control when its too hot, the weather, the rain..., so all Summer long for 2 seasons this has been the repeat conversation to the my low quality results experienced with Turf Tenders weed control. Recent calls include 7/19, 7/20, 7/21 and 8/3... today is 8/11 and Im still waiting for a QUALITY weed control to be broadcast applied. FYI - Theyve defined too hot as being temperatures above 85 Degrees.

My lawn looks the best it has ever looked. Had another company last year and my lawn was horrible - everything was burned and the weeds were out of control! Turf Tenders is the best ever!!!!

Answered the phone told me the lines were busy and put me on hold, after 5 minutes, someone picked up and hung up the phone. I ve tried to call other times and no answer. Left a message, no one calls back. My lawn is full of dandelions. They are supposed to come 7 times throughout summer, and have only come 3 times as of august 19. They also combined 2 services into one appointment, one service required me to water the lawn immediately, the other said to wait. I don t think those services should have been done together. UPDATE: received a call from Kyle, he was apologetic about the communication and assured me that it was ok that the 2 treatments were completed together. He told me that they will be retreating my lawn. I will update the review at the end of the season with results.

I love this company. Andrew Adams came over and treated my yard for weeds. Very professional and did an excellent job in making my yard and trees have look fantastic.

They say they kill weeds but mine seem to remain. I was hoping I finally found a service that would kill the weeds. Unfortunately the crab grass remains. Very disappointed. Will have to call them again to come out and kill the weeds.

Usually does a top notch job but this latest fertilizer application was spotty at best. Several areas missed in an erratic application.

This is the first time I have used Turf Tenders, my lawn looks amazing, very professional. I like that I receive an email the day before they are coming and leave a sign on the lawn that an application was done.

They did a great job last year. So much so that we referred two different people to them and they signed up for a summer of service. Unfortunately weeds are just out of control. We ve called a couple times and they ve come out to spray but the weeds are still there. Same complaint from our 2 referrals as well. We definitely won t be using them next year.

Walk out of my building to have a chat with my co-worker, and these dirty landscapers drive by cat calling like filthy animals. No shame at all. What kind of company lets their employees do that? GROSS. If I could give zero stars for their horrible work and low class manners, I would.

They always do a good job. Whenever I have an issue, they are right on it. Once, they caught a fungus on my lawn that could have been worse but treated in time. Prices can be higher but the quality is there.

They did a horrible job on my lawn. Weeds, crabgrass, etc grew like crazy. I called about the fact that weeds were popping up everywhere, and they just said Yeah, that will happen. Really nothing we can do about that. I was floored. I canceled my service, and they immediately sent my bill to collections. Avoid this company!!!!! I should have done more homework. They have an F rating by the BBB!!!

I attended a training at a large healthcare facility on a day that Turf Tenders happened to be working on the grounds. Our class was interrupted by a loud bang on the window of the classroom. A very tiny baby deer was throwing itself into the window while trying to escape a man who seemed to be attempting to run it over or at least to terrorize it completely! Some of us went outside and tried to shoo him away from the fawn, while he continued to back up and plow towards it as it crouched against the building. He left after a few more horrifying minutes of confrontation with us. As he drove away, he fell off of the riding lawnmower, and the mower got stuck. Do they have a policy regarding what to do when encountering defenseless wildlife? This deer was one or two days old. I hope that I can convince the facility I was attending to contract with a different company.

I have been using Turf Tenders for 3 years now. I have always been happy with my lawn. This year I had more weeds then normal as well as brown spots. I called Turf Tenders and spoke to Craig. Craig looked into my account and seen that the lawn technician that treated my lawn noted that I had insect problems in my lawn and that I was cutting my lawn too short . Craig advised me that I needed to have an insecticide applied to my lawn at an additional charge. I first felt that I should not have to pay extra to resolve this issue because I am already paying enough money for Turf Tenders to take care of my lawn. After voicing my concern with Craig, he explained to me that these products are costly and this is why there is an additional charge. I then understood why there was an additional charge. Craig also advised me to raise the height on my lawn mower to the highest setting. During our conversation, Craig asked about my watering habits. I told Craig that I water a couple times a week when I get home from work in the evening. Craig then advised me to water 3 to 4 days a week in the morning. After speaking with Craig for over 20 minutes on the phone. I agreed to have the insecticide applied to my lawn and Craig told me he would also have my weeds treated for free. 2 days later, someone from Turf Tenders came to my home and sprayed all my weeds and treated the insects. In the mean time, I started watering in the morning and raised the height on my lawn mower as Craig told me to do. 2 weeks later, I seen a significant improvement in my lawn. I wrote this review because I have seen reviews bashing lawn care companies for poor results when most of these people posting these reviews are uneducated in lawn care. Craig took the time to explain to me that there are many different reasons that any lawn could look bad such as not watering or mowing correctly and that insect and fungus problems could be caused from poor watering habits as well as mother nature. I also seen a review on here a while back bashing Turf Tenders because they had mushrooms. Even I know that mushrooms are caused from decayed tree roots under the ground which there is nothing you can do about them. I just feel that consumers should be more educated in products or services before bashing any company when a lot of these people posting these reviews have no idea what they are talking about. I will end this review by saying if you are a Turf Tenders customer and need advice, call Craig, he knows his stuff. Thank you Turf Tenders for your prompt service in correcting my lawn care issues and for a job well done!

Called to start this lawn service two weeks ago. Already have paid for a whole year. Guess what, they have not started the service yet. I was calling them every week, and after calling today first day of this week, they said theu will send someone by end of this week.

Promised me prompt service that made me into sign up for whole year. Later came up with different excuses that I cannot trust. Canceled their service and went with different company that beat my expectation.

I was referred to Turf Tenders by a friend. they came out and did the first application with no problems. I then paid for them to do an aeration on the lawn. The aeration was scheduled and invoiced for a week later but they never came out and did it. I called and they said the tech came out and did the aeration but it was clearly not done( No plugs or holes on the lawn). After speaking to Len B. my sales person, He went above and beyond to fix the problem quickly and get the aeration issue resolved. not only did they come out once to do it but they came out a second time and aerated it again because the ground was so compacted. Len was very knowledgeable, friendly and seemed like he was able to get things done efficiently and quickly. He made sure to contact me and keep in touch with me along the way. this is not common for lawn companies. I recommend calling Turf Tenders and asking for Len Bolitho.

Grass is now dead! First time hiring a fertilizer company and they killed my grass. Ive done my own fertilization until medically I couldnt this year (I never had a problem when I did it myself), Craig who is supposed to be a Manager I believe is the rudest person Ive EVER dealt with and would never recommend this company. Not sure if the fertilizer they use has gone bad (maybe bought from another company for pennies on the dollar)but its interesting having black grass and just spots of grass so dead all you see is dirt. I will ask for a refund and update the status once I hear back.

This company is absolutely awful. They completely burned off all of the grass on our lawn. They left it dead and brown. They did nothing to fix it. We then spent months trying to contact them to get them to come fix it. They could not be reached. They always had a poor excuse (the person supposed to deal with it was on vacation, they had to talk to their insurance company, they were sick, etc.). When we finally were able to reach them they refused to do anything. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I am very disappointed.
