Had David and his team re-level and fix multiple sections of our paver patio and wall that had sunk and settled over the past 10 years. Very responsive, nice work and reasonable cost for the amount of work done. Wouldnt hesitate to contact them again for any type of paver work. Update in April 2024: had our 15 year old paver patio power washed and re-sanded by David and his team and it looks brand new! All of the same still applies - responsive, good work, and reasonable cost. Will continue to contact them for paver and landscaping work.

D&A Landscaping did an excellent job of redoing my entire patio which was 20 years old and sinking in many places. The steps were falling apart and it was a safety hazard. I called four landscapers last fall knowing I wanted the work done this spring. Dave was the only one that returned my call. He came over and measured and suggested a different step design and different pavers. He started the work last week and kept in touch with me letting me know whether or not he would be here because of the weather. He and his crew were always on time! There were no problems and I now have a gorgeous patio. I was a little concerned with the steps design, but Dave made suggestions and the steps are perfect! Dave and his crew are perfectionists and I highly recommend this company!

Dave was responsive and professional from Day 1. He and his team worked their tails off and did a full demo on our previous patio, removed the retaining walls and mulch area around the front and rear of our home, installed a couple of new retaining walls out front along with rock to replace the mulch and installed a paver patio out in our backyard. It is everything we hoped for and we re now looking forward to many good times out back with family and friends as well as feeling much better about the appearance of our home out front. We hired D & A Landscaping because we recently had a paver patio installed and it was falling apart. The company that originally installed it refused to come out and fix it. Luckily for us Dave came over and gave us a reasonable price to fix what was wrong. They showed up on time everyday and cleaned up after themselves. The patio looks a lot better than it did the first time we had it done. I wish we would have originally gone with Dave. This side of the house does not have gutters (cant be done) and the rain pours off the roof during heavy rains. This feature prevents the mulch from washing into our yard and causing a mess. Cannot describe how happy I am with the work this company has done. I searched for a landscaping company, this was THE ONLY ONE who responded to me and set up a time for a quote. They were able to start fairly quickly and in 2 days, they perfectly constructed the vision we had! They cleaned up their job site and the materials they used were very high quality!

I was recommended to David through the Frankfort handyman Facebook group and also through a mutual friend. He recently took out old rock and brick and redid my retaining walls. He was easy to communicate with, easy to schedule with, showed up on time, and did quality work. I love my new retaining wall and rock. Since its close to frost and I couldnt plant plant some plants I wanted, they inserted something to keep the shape and help prevent rocks from falling in till I can plant next year. I highly recommend this company!

I heard about D & A Landscape and Patio from a neighbor. The owner has a fast response time and came out to provide me with a free estimate. Dave was able to fit me in about 1 month ahead of my original scheduled install date and the job was completed in a timely manner. Daves crew was very respectful and they were hard workers. Update: I recently found a few issues after about 1-2 months after job completion. The main issue did not present itself until settling took place. I contacted Dave and we are in the process of scheduling a time to have him evaluate the issues at hand. I will update once the issues have been rectified. Update, Dave came out and I showed him that the square around the tree was off center and the front of the square was not level (middle section was higher than the ends). I also showed him how sections of the retaining wall rock back and forth with barely applying any pressure. Dave stated the square was off center due to roots and stated I agreed. I agreed to roots being cut but I never approved the square being off center. Prior to the installation, Dave spray painted a square around the tree that was centered, which I agreed too. Dave brushed off my concerns about the retaining wall rocking back and forth. After going back and forth Dave finally agreed to correct only the square around the tree but he wanted me to sign off stating there were no additional issues. I did not agree and he rescinded his offer to fix the square. I also had concerns about settling which he said would not occur. The retaining wall had a thin layer of paver base beneath it and the retaining wall was not recessed into the ground, which also caused the sections to rock back and forth. I decided to hold off on updating my review to see if any additional settling would occur. Several spots have settled and made the wall uneven. Multiple stones also became loose and I had to reapply landscaping cement to hold it in place. Dave and I went back and forth through text messages and he pretty much called me a liar and he cannot accept that his employee did not install my retaining wall properly. Dave lacks accountability for his employees work and is not willing to fix the issue at hand. I will say, I have seen the work that Dave has completed and he is skilled to complete the work but his employee that worked on my landscaping lacked the proper training. So if you do hire Dave, make sure he is the one doing the work.

I would highly recommend David. He helped us convert our wood burning fireplace to gas. I couldn t be happier now that I can have a fire any time! He measured the opening and suggested I order the logs online after advising me as to what I would need. Then he came back and installed everything. Excellent!

Throughout the two-day job, Dave and his team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, craftsmanship and customer service. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of the design and work they did and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Dave sanded and sealed my patio. First day it looked amazing next day it turned gray and white. It was done in October and the weather was either too cold and it didn t cure properly or sand was left on it. Ruined our patio. Dave said I will make sure you are our first stop next year. I am so sorry. Had to call him multiple times. He offered just to refund our money. Because it needed to be stripped and resealed. Complained that the cost for him to fix was too high. Finally got him to come out. Still looks like garbage. Had his guys come out for 20 minutes never stripped it. Just sealed over it. Acted like he was doing us a big favor. He started doing bigger jobs and didn t want to be bothered. He finally came back in August! Terrible work ethic!

It was very hard to get a contractor out for a quote during this corona pandemic but he came out as promised, gave his recommendations and gave us a very fair price. I appreciate his constant communication the most. Most contractors will hardly ever return your call but I had no issues getting a response from Dave at ANY time during this project. Dave is extremely accommodating. If I had a change of mind during the project on something he was willing to work with me. So this is our first house and we had other work going on. Dave was so patient with us every step of the way. He couldnt start our project until our driveway work was finished and he still managed to keep us on a fair schedule even though our concrete contractor was giving us the run around. Dave from D & A exceeded my expectations right from the beginning of this project when I received my free estimate. Its hard to find companies that take pride in their work. You can tell that Dave isnt just in this business to make money. He truly loves what he does and it shows. Dave provided a certificate of insurance when I requested one. He also laid wood down on the driveway to protect my driveway from the large dumpster used for concrete demo. As someone with construction experience and house flipping experience, I can honestly say that Dave is one of the nicest guys I have dealt with over the years. Dave was very respectful of my sons strict nap schedule. His assistant was hard working and very polite. Precision is Daves middle name. The paver patio that he installed is flawlessly level.
