Peter Hawkesford took over the Belper branch of GreenThumb in 2013. He and his team of lawn operatives look after lawns in Belper, Duffield, parts of Ilkeston, Heanor plus the north Derby suburbs of Allestry and Quarndon. During the growing season – from March to October - each customer’s lawn receives pre-arranged treatments from GreenThumb’s experts, for less than it would cost to buy the materials at a DIY store and do the job yourself. As well as keeping lawns in tip-top condition, GreenThumb are also experts at tackling lawn pests and diseases such as Red Thread, which is caused by moist air.

Overall lawn treatment is okay but prices have increased dramatically since the pandemic . Operators are nice blokes and attend on the day given . Direct Debit was recently offered and I took it up only to find it hasn’t been taken so I now owe money . I’m not impressed with the admin side it seems understaffed and there’s always some issue over payments or is it just me ……..? Following this review I was contacted promptly by Peter from the branch and asked to complete another Direct Debit mandate form which has now been put into payment . I will wait and see if it all goes to plan before considering increasing my rating .
