Grandpa, William Sarno started going to CT Lawn Equipment since late 70s early 80s. Kevin the owner, is trustworthy, honest, and fair with his prices. We are 3rd Generation and have been taking our lawn equipment to him since 2017 and he is the only one we trust. If you want Awesome service and prices bring your equipment here.
I had a cracked Tractor Deck Hanger Bracket, perfectly welded, repaired in a day. Highly recommend, thank you Kevin!
As a homeowner with a rinky dinky lawnmower, I appreciate the time, patience and quality of the work despite the fact that much bigger jobs were on his queue. Very personable and good, honest work.
The guy is very knowledgeable. He doesn’t work on Ryobi products however.
Great job and done on time on my 30-year old John Deere's mower unit that was falling apart. Good as new. Kevin is a rare commodity in a business world where all too many are more focused on making profits than providing good, honest service.
I take all my stuff to CT Lawn Equipment. On my lawn tractor they found a vexing electrical problem and serviced the machine for a very reasonable price. I dropped it off in December and said take your time and he called me in a nice weather stretch in February. I also brought my snowblower there once and he evaluated it and told me it was going to be $600 to fix my 15 year old snowblower, so I said screw it. He asked if he could have the machine to use for parts. No problem. I've found him very reasonable and good to work with. Highly recommended.
I've been having my mower and some other equipment serviced here for more than 5 years. The owner (Kevin) is very good at what he does and is a friendly guy who has never let me down. He patiently explains what work he has done and he charges fairly. I had one piece that couldn't be repaired and, even though he had to spend some time figuring this out, he didn't charge me for the time he put in. He will also pick up and deliver as part his service, depending on where you live. His reputation for good work is well known and you will see a lot of local landscape professionals in the shop any time you go there. That's a good sign as he wouldn't get work from these guys if he wasn't good. Be realistic -- you can't bring in a broken mower on a Friday and expect it to be ready in a day or two. He's busy! But, he will give you an honest appraisal and timeline and he always meets it.
I made the mistake of asking for help with the repair of my Gravely Tractor. Owner came to my house and took the tractor partially apart. That was August. He picked the tractor up a week later and would only work on it if i paid him upfront in full. He kept the tractor for 3 months, never called me, I always had to call him. He then charged me almost 100% more when the tractor was finally finished even though it did not require more work. He threatened to put a lien on my house and would not discuss the disputed agreement and costs. I wish I had seen these posts before. Please proceed with eyes wide open.
Honest reasonable and a great guy. Cant say enough good things about him
Always excellent MECHANICS ...
Ready when promised. Fixed right the time and a fair price
