Mike Rose has been handling our snow removal for several years now, and the best thing I can say about them is that we no longer need to think about that whole aspect of living in Michigan. Seriously, it just gets done. And at the right time, too. They arent coming by to scrape up something that will melt by noon, and they arent ignoring us when the lake dumps a bunch in just a few hours. They come when you need them, and they know because they all live in the community alongside you. Rates are fair, service is great, and again - they take an entire thing off of your to-do list. Worth every penny.

We had Mike Rose do all our landscaping, install underground sprinklers, and hydro seed our yard. Overall I am pleased with their work. A couple things kept me from giving 5 stars: We had them quote us in the fall and later added on services for a spring install. There must have been miscommunication in the office because despite our add ons and changes, they were never saved. The crew showed up to do the work and missed a couple things because it was never put on their paperwork. These were eventually corrected. When the lawn was hydro seeded, the crew left tire tracks in a small portion of the yard. I contacted the office and they came back out to fix it. There were some parts of the landscape where the weed barrier hung over the aluminum edging it was tucked over and buried in dirt. I had to fix that myself after everything was done. I had to have them come back out twice after having the sprinklers installed because they were leaking and were leaving large spots that didn t get water. Despite some of these smaller issues, the customer service was great and our landscape looks awesome. Mike Rose and the crew were always polite and always came back right away to make things right. I really liked how the price quote was good for 1 year, and when the invoice came, it was exactly what the quote said. However, I felt paying attention to detail was lacking in some cases hence my 4-star review. I definitely would recommend them for your landscaping needs!

Mike Rose Landscaping did a wonderful job landscaping my front yard it s absolutely beautiful. My husband and I are so happy with the way it turned out. His crew was very friendly ,they were on time and very professional. Thank you Mike and Please that your hard working crew.

I used Mike Rose Landscaping to install my irrigation. They were very transparent in pricing and did a fantastic job.

They have been installing bark in our yard for years, and doing a wonderful job. We have been battling wild violets in our yard for the past few years by ourselves, and loosing said battle. We asked the Mike Rose crew for help, and the violets have disappeared.

Mikes team helped us take care of yard work that was bigger than I could handle. They were responsive and did a good job. Id definitely go back to them the next time I need help.

My sprinkler system was losing pressure. I called Mike Rose to figure out the problem $438 dollars later my system is still losing pressure and they want to charge me $75 dollars to come out and analyze the issue. Stay away from these guys.

I seem to have had a tricky fix to my sprinkler system. The team had to come out a couple of times. Each visit was on time and they stuck with it until it was fixed. I ve used Mike Rose Landscaping for a decade for various things and it is one company you can rely on to show up and do a nice job.

We just had our sprinkler system upgraded from manual to programmable.Mike fit us in with little we notice to get this work done so I could surprise my husband for his birthday. We are happy with the work!

These folks check my boxes: honest, professional and easy to work with. Had them come out to startup an irrigation system thats been unused for nearly a decade. They did the stuff we couldnt, like finding and repairing leaks in the line. They also offered to show us the stuff we could DIY and save a few bucks. Looking forward to working with them to get our patch, crabby lawn under control and turfy.

Beyond unprofessional to the point of rude! Also RECKLESS!

Poor Communication. Recently, Rose came to my 93 year old mothers home to start up her lawn irrigation pump because it wasnt working. The Technician could not get the pump to work and indicated that he would need to come back because he had to leave to go work at other customers and her pump would require disassembling everything. I was very clear and said no I wanted to get a quote from Rose because the same thing happened last year (and it cost $365 to fix). I told him that I wanted this to get fixed right, so it doesnt happen again. The Technician told me to contact the office to schedule Mike Rose or a Salesperson to come out who normally do the quoting. A day or two later, a Rose Technician showed up (not scheduled) at my mothers home and told my sister that they were here to look at the pump. An hour to hour and a half later, the Technician just left. They didnt say anything to my Sister or Mother if the pump-sprinkler was working or not. Again. They just left. I arrived a couple hours later at my Mothers home. I manually attempted to run the sprinkler to see if it runs. It ran, however, the controller settings were in a default mode and I had to reset time, day, and time on each zone, which I would have throught Rose would have checked. My Mother received a new bill for $360 for new added PVC piping and a new check valve. Rose had put in a new check valve last summer !!! Because no one explained what was wrong, who knows if the work they did was even needed. Maybe something simply needed to be tightened. NO COMMUNICATION ! I sent an email to Mike Rose noting the concerns that I had and requested a call back. I was told that my concerns were forwarded on. Two weeks later, no call, no text and/or no email. I decided to move both my Mothers and my sprinkler irrigation business to another company. I dont like surprises.

I called Rose to winterize my system as I just bought the house had an appt for a week out. They call me the morning of and said they have to reschedule. Not cool. Worried about my pump feeezing up. I will try to find someone dependable.

Wow you plow walmart parking lot andtry damaging peoples vehicles at the same time..... Maybe if you dont like the job your in your should quick before you owe a lot of people a lot of money

Very Great Experiences! Quality workmanship. Cant say enough. Will only use them for any projects around my home. I would recommend them to anyone. In regards to the *unexpected* show ups that people complain about... they show up when they can based upon weather and the jobs they have. That is beyond what anyone can control.

I hired Mike Rose landscaping to start up, repair and restore my elderly Mother s lawn in ground lawn irrigation system at her home in the city. My intent was to hire them for all lawn care services. My experience working with this company spanned over six weeks of time. On the initial visit the gentleman couldn t find the leak in the line - I had to find it. He did get it repaired after yet another three week wait to get him back to then tell me that the controller box was bad. I told him to replace everything and anything needed and restore the system - no haggle or concern with cost. After yet another two weeks we had an appointment set for a 7/7 from 1 to 3 PM. I took time off work and arrived at my Mother s home at the time allocated to find that the installer had already been there but no one called to say he was going to be early. He installed a box that required a key lock but did not leave the key. The ground was completely dry so he never even attempted to run the system. When he departed he left my elderly mother s garage door open, house entry door open and all the lights down to the basement and in the basement turned on. Parts of her old controller unit were just left on the ground outside. I left two more messages with the company. I finally got a return call back and they told me he would be back that same day to bring the key and show me how to operate the system. I waited there for more than three hours. No call no show. I called two more times. No response. I called again making a third call at the end of the day. I finally got someone to pick up the phone to offer yet another week out for him to come and review the system with me. At this point I was done. I ll find a reputable and responsible irrigation and lawn care company to assist me with my Mom s lawn going forward. My advice - find someone who actually thinks customer service is important as obviously based on my experience Mike Rose Landscaping has no clue what that entails. Shop local? I tried to but it did not pay off this time. This company gives local a bad name!

Came when he said, got er done!

Moved into a new home with underground sprinkling system. They were able to cover out and winterize the system for me and will be coming back in the spring to get the system going for me. I have never had an underground system. They said they would walk me through it come spring. Very friendly and helpful.

Mike and his staff made sure we were totally pleased with their work before leaving. We needed them to come back and fix 2 things and they did and made sure it was exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommend. Super nice employees too...a joy to have around!

Had an estimate done. Been having a very very difficult time getting an appointment set to start work. Called multiple times leaving messages and then they tell us, they never heard of nor have our estimate even after Brandon leaves me a message to email,him which I do and still havent heard anything from them. Will not ever recommend.

Came out over a month ago and told us they would be in touch to schedule they called my wife and left a message asking her to email Brandon to schedule an appointment so she did we waited 2 weeks and no response so I called they lady had no idea who I was and said there was no record of us having an estimate she finally found it and said she would pass it on to Brandon and he would call us to schedule waited another week no response so I called again and spoke to Jennifer again and again she claimed there was no record of out estimate and had to search for it and again said she would pass it along do not waste your time with these unprofessional idiots

My neighbor uses Mike Rose for their landscaping services and last fall while working on my neighbors property, a MR truck accidentally ran over a couple of my small boxwood bushes(darkness had fallen). I called, they apologized and said they would replace them in the spring. They arrived today, backed up because of the virus, delays to reopening , but I didnt have to call to remind them, they came out and were really helpful, answered my various questions regarding my yard and were helpful and completely professional. Thank you to a great local business! Highly recommended.

On behalf of 43 North Apartments, Mike Rose Landscape and Irrigation is a fabulous company. Their work is superb on our grounds and my residents are extremely happy with our landscaping throughout the property. Office staff is very friendly and responsive when placing a work order or asking a question. I have also used Mike Rose for personal landscape and was not disappointed. The crews are respectful and hardworking, something that is hard to find but Mike Rose delivers on any project.

Mike is awesome to work with. Its not often that the business owner will take time out to do visits, but Mike always goes above and beyond to ensure that all of his customers are satisfied and well taken care of.

Took about a week to get the initial estimate, after the estimate came in I decided I wanted to scale the project back and requested a new estimate. I called first and the receptionist said I should email the guy doing my estimate, but that shed also let him know I called. Sent the email on April 23 and waited about a week before calling back to remind them I was still waiting for an estimate. She said shed let the guy know. May 16th and I still havent gotten anything back. If youre too busy for my small project thats fine, but at least call me back and let me know.

Their crews are super courteous conscientious and polite. Ive used them for mowing and trimming also both spring and fall cleanups. They do a fantastic job at a very fair price. Going to hire them this spring for landscape work. I highly recommend them!

Called today May 23rd. They said they could schedule me for an appointment for June 8th. I will be moving out of state on the 15th due to being in the Army and moving to a new location, they refused to come out or do the work because I wont have a forwarding address after the 15th. Even though I said I would pay cash on the spot or come into the office to pay if they couldnt manage to get a bill written up same day. They must not enjoy business much.

I am completely disgusted with the way this company does not care for the lawns at our condo association!! Their estimates say, We even make dirt look good, but my front yard is dirt & moss, with a tiny bit of grass. It looks hideous! Even the dirt!!! How much will it cost the owner of the condo to actually have grass in the front yard? $1,700!!! I tried to grow grass last year, spent a lot of my own money & hours growing it, to have the moles ruin it. They didnt take care of the moles either. This year, what little grass I have has been taken over by weeds, so apparently they do nothing about weeds either. They run over my weeds, and leave lawn mower tracks, ripping up what little grass is there! Some of the grass grew back from last year, except where the snow plow pushed the snow right up top my front window, taking land and my expensive Christmas light out with it! 5ft from my front window! They hydroseeded the areas they thought they ruined, but I was at work when they did it, so they didnt hydroseed where the ruined it!

Not happy at all with this company!! Would NOT recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping services!

Ive had them install gutter drains in my yard for pooling water and also 10 yards of mulch install. Very professional and my yard looked great when they were done. Having them install mulch (instead of us) was worth every penny!!

Mike and his team installed a patio and firepit in our backyard. It looks absolutely awesome and I was impressed by the entire team that installed it. They truly were experts and checked in with me consistently. On time and on budget and the quality of craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend.

I had a custom patio installed fall of 2018. It is a memorial to my husband. He gave me a custom fire ring for Christmas 2017 and passed away Feb 2018. Mike helped me with my design in my head and Zak his foreman helped me fine tune it while it was being installed. His crew was wonderful to work with and it was finished just shy of 3 weeks! It s absolutely gorgeous!!! I would recommend Mike Rose to everyone! My patio looks like it should be in a magazine! My husband would be so proud.

Had them do fall clean up and invoice was twice what was quoted. I dont believe they ever came out and look at the job to quote. They never contacted us prior to go over budget.

Great staff and service

Extremely disappointed with this company. They installed lawn and landscaping for our new construction home in June 2015, charged a hefty price and left it to die. Half of plants installed were not to specifications and dead or nearly dead on install due to them being left out in the full sun too long. I contacted Mike immediately and he promised that it would come back better in the next year or two. Exactly one year later it not only didnt come back, it was dead. Our grass is patchy and half dead despite watering. Most of landscaped area (full sun) is barren and full of weeds. The remaining landscaped area (shaded) is not barren but IS full of weeds. He promised to fix it this summer by coming to apply weed and feed - Got weeds anyway. He also promised to make the landscape look like the original picture I provided. I ended up with a quote for $5000. Now he wont return phone calls or email from me nor my husband. What a ripoff.

Weeds, no grass, buried sprinkler heads, not graded correctly (standing water in spots, no contact back, crushed concrete because of a truck driving where it shouldnt have,, etc.... They were not the cheapest so we expected more. Extremely disappointed!

He came out, my wife and I discussed what we wanted. He quoted it. We decided to only go with part of the quote. Never heard from him for several weeks. When I contacted him he referred to our $4k job as small and they were scheduling it. Then one day they just showed up. No warning or call ahead, nothing. The crews first day there was bad and I had to tell Mike it wasnt what we talked about. The second day there they fixed somethings but then completed the entire quote and not just what we asked for. Mike came out personally to check out the job, had his crew come back and do everything right and gave us a huge discount on our bill. Very responsible, and respectable owner who wants to see his customers happy..

We have used Mike Rose and his crew for many, many years. Everyone is so thoughtful and helpful. They just did an amazing job with turning our new yard full of weeds to green lovely landscaped yard!!! We will also recommend them and will always use them in the future .
