Had problem with Norwegian Maple that was girdled. within the week, arborist visited, addressed the problem with state of the art equipment and took out the offending roots. A day later we received our first fertilizer treatment. Excellent service. Thanks.

We interviewed several companies to help our ailing trees; Mark was so overly impressive with his background, knowledge, and individualized strategy for our particular dilemma...it was easy to hire him as he shined far above the other companies. Furthermore, as our problemed tree issue changed unexpectedly, Mark was on top of it every step of the way, making multiple house calls to be sure our SavATree plan still was taking care of us 110%. Also, need to get a hold of Mark on a moments notice? Phone call or e-mail...he either picks up on the spot or gets back to us so quickly. And last but certainly not least, Mark is nice and kind--making him pretty amazing all around. Its a pleasure to work with Mark and SavATree.

Save your time and avoid Savatree. I originally called them on 8/23/24 to ask for a quote to have some shrubs trimmed. They told me, no problem, well have someone come out on 8/30 @ 1:30PM. Fast forward to 8/30 and the arborist shows up at 10:51AM without any advanced notice (they did not give a window previously, it was stated as 1:30PM). Thankfully I had decided not to go shopping in the morning, so I was home to meet him. The arborist himself was OK and seemed knowledgeable enough when asked questions. Since 8/30 was the Friday before Labor Day the arborist mentioned that the quote might take a few extra days due to the holiday. OK, no problem. Labor Day comes and goes and I patiently check my email daily. Im not seeing any quotes and Im worried I somehow missed it. I check my spam, deleted emails, etc., nothing from Savatree or the arborist. Finally 9/9 (a full week after Labor Day) and I still see nothing. The arborist gave me his card, so I sent an email asking about the status of my quote at the end of 9/9. Crickets. Nothing at all for another week. I finally got fed up and called a competitor and received a same day quote and service 2-days later. I never did hear back from Savatree. Its clear that they did not want my business which would have been fine had they just told me that. What I didnt appreciate is having my time wasted, and advise you to stay away as well.

Troy and his crew are exceptional workers and I felt it was a very fair price. They did a wonderful job. We have them come every year and have always been happy.

The group came to take care of a birch that was overhanging the roofline. Kevin gave us a lot if confidence in hus tree knowledge and how to adress it best. We have owned two homes in Winnetka. Our current as well as our previous property have several mature, large trees, as well as some newer ones. For many years, we have relied on Mike Provost to assure that the trees remain healthy and trimmed. He has always been most attentive, providing prompt service and excellent advice.

The arborist who worked with us, Josh Atnip, was phenomenal with an encyclopedic knowledge of trees and their care. He sent us a very reasonable proposal for the care of over 30 trees with a variety of different needs in our garden. He did not forget to address a single tree or concern. He was highly communicative, professional, and available for all of our follow-up questions. He chose a superb crew to remove four of our ailing trees and to prune many others with great care. It is hard to believe they accomplished what they did in a single visit. On the day of our tree work, Josh stopped by several times to ensure that our expectations were being met. He cares about trees and about his relationship with clients, and we feel very fortunate that he was our arborist.

We wanted to save our 32-year-old Catalpa on the condos private property but were concerned about its health and public risk. One highly respected arborist company said we should trim the tree, and yes, there is bark disease, but it can recuperate and advised against removal. SavATree urged removal advised it was too far diseased, the core is likely hollow, and it poses a risk to the public as it was leaning over the public sidewalk. The condo board decided to have it removed. The trunk, from the root to the midsection, was hollow, and wood rot was most prevalent at the base! We dodged a bullet. Highly recommend SavATree!

For almost 22 years SavATree has provided our Planned Unit Developement in Glenview, IL with excellent service. Both their crews and their professional arborist Mike Provost have provided super service to our homeowners association. Mike gives us with excellent support! Being a member of our landscape committee, we dont hesitate to ask Mike for his feelings on whether a particular tree should be saved or removed. Many times he will tell us to save it rather than spend money to remove it. In emergencies, both he and their crews have responded in a matter of hours when we have had a crisis usually after a storm. They also provide us with spraying and treating of trees, bushes and lawns throughout our community. In my estimation, SavATree is a 5 star operation!

They were very responsive to my concerns about how treatment of the crabapple might affect wildlife and gave me lots of information to show it would not harm insects or birds. Recently they trimmed a street tree in front of my house to help prevent the wind damage it has been repeatedly experiencing and also trimmed the crabapple to promote its health. The trees look great; they were very respectful of the natural structure of the trees. The cost was reasonable, as well. I highly recommend them!

We have been using SavATree for maybe 15 years. They have indeed saved our old Grandmother Magnolia and given her a second chance at life! Our Arborist, Jason Riemer, carefully analyzes all of our trees and shrubs at least once a year, but if we ever have a special concern he always makes time to stop by and study the situation. The technicians he dispatches always do their work carefully, quietly, and thoroughly. We get an early seasonal fertilizer injection into the ground and a mid season feeding of their Arbor Kemp product. No complaints!!

I have used SavATree before and been happy. But in their last trip I had them remove a second willow that was split. They were supposed to stack the trunk near the tree. They left the trunk where it fell ignoring the fact that it was crushing other live trees and bushes. I understand that they could hit the trees when they dropped it, but I would think they would take it off them once it was safely on the ground... There is no way I consider this stacked...

There was an old Silver Maple in our front yard that had countless dead limbs and branches. Mike Provost came out to inspect the tree and also our Red Autumn Blaze Maple which was dying about 5 years ago. The tree is still alive 5 years later after his expertise and service. SavATree Northbrooks Crew did a professional job of trimming 4 Large trees in my backyard. They removed all the branches and sent it into a chipper. They raked the entire yard to pick up all the little pieces. I would recommend them to everyone.

Recommend wholeheartedly! I ve used Sav-a-Tree (and Mike Provost s teams) for many, many years. Without exception, they are always timely in scheduling and performing work promptly when I call or email; reliable In showing up when they said they would and very pleasant while onsite; very careful to protect surrounding landscaping/objects while they work; and thorough in clean up. Most of all, they do excellent work. I have had them remove both extremely large and some smaller trees even large ones precariously close to roof/house after storms, treat trees that have disease, prune and shape trees, grind stumps, save and move large stumps that I wanted to preserve for decorative use, and perform preventive maintenance. Never had anything but a great experience with them.

Mike P got me set up to take down my overgrown tree in 1/1000th of the time it took me to decide it was time to take it down and find someone to do it (took them about 15 minutes). Super pro, highly recommend!

Sav a Tree responded promptly to my inquiry, came out and explained the issues with my tree and their proposed plan. I received a written proposal that afternoon by email. They did an outstanding job trimming by apple tree; they were also careful about the branches and took everything away. They also took care of two smaller, problematic trees and a number of other issues . They did this quickly and thoroughly and were friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend them.

Kevin is always quick to respond and flexible in working around my own schedule. HE came out to assess our trees needing pruning and got us on the schedule quickly. The team did a wonderful job removing 2 branches from the River Birch and doing a deep prune on my Hawthorne. They also cleaned up the mess I had made of two other ornamental trees. They worked quickly, asking questions to be sure we were in agreement and cleaned up so well, I cannot tell they were even here. Best of all they did not trample any of the plants and bulbs that are already started early. I have een using them for several years always pleased with their work.
