George Cardenas Landscape in Northbrook

I’ve used Cardenas for several projects around a new home I purchased. Extending all the downspouts underground to the street or to a pond behind my house. They removed all the perimeter overgrown landscaping and planted a new crabapple. George is very attentive and shows up same day when there is a problem or to just monitor the project. The guys he has working for him are friendly, hard working and I love they clean up carefully. I would absolutely recommend them for any project.

We have used George Cardenas Landscape service for over a year now.  We decided to replace our front yard landscaping last fall. George and Melanie worked hard to find the perfect trees, bushes and flowers to make our landscaping and house beautiful.  The landscaping is perfect and we love it.  We use their service weekly and their workmen are professional, kind and do an amazing job.  Every time I call the office with a question or request they assist me in a very timely manner.  I highly recommend anyone looking for this service to use George Cardenas Landscape!!

As president of a small condo association made up entirely of people who have owned single family homes on the Northshore for decades, our choice of Cardenas to take care of our landscaping needs was not made lightly. I can say with no hesitation that the work performed weekly by their team, not only does an A+ job on all the expected work, but they go over and above spending some extra time when needed to do some extra trimming, deadheading rose bushes, etc without ever being asked. Our association is very happy with the way our green space has looked during this hot summer season. We appreciate your good work!

Great company

This is the 1st time I ever wrote a negative review about any company. But this company really is something else. From start to finish a negative experience. A 2 week project just finished in10 weeks. A new bbq counter and walls flooring. All they had to do is match the existing stone work we have. They tried to cut sones that they had instead getting new ones. Had to remove the bad work they did, made a huge mess and redo the whole thing. Owner tells me he is trying real hard after mistakes after mistakes. All he had to do is what we agreed on. The icing is when the company’s wife got involved and negated what we agreed on. We never talked to her until a week ago. Do yourselves a favor and do not use this company. I’m sure it will get done, a lot of arguing and trying my bests. But it will get done. And after all that, someone from the company is asking for more money than agreed upon. The counter is still chipped, I had to glue a stone after it came off. And I still would not have wrote this review if it wasn’t for George’s wife Sylvia. Please replace the 3 chipped counter top pieces. I ordered a new one, not these chipped ones. It was like, they have never done this before. They were learning on the job. I showed the work to lurveys, and they laughed and felt bad for me. I had to keep asking the store what is the right way to install because these installers had no clue. George, ur not a bad guy, but you can’t treat clients this way. U really can’t. I really wish I could post pictures of what they did before, during and after. But u cant add photos to reviews.
