After really falling behind with the garden over many months I was beginning to panic every time I looked out at it. Then I found Steve and SGM Home and Garden and thought Id give him a call. Im really pleased I did! In the space of two days hes completely transformed what was a real eyesore into a really lovely space, and done this with good humour and sheer hard work in 28 degree summer temperatures! Steve and Simon were excellent from Start to finish with great communication throughout the project. Highly professional and brilliant quality work. We were in desperate need of fence work after horrible damages were left by another garden contractor which we used for some patio work (wish we knew about SGM then and called them instead!). So glad we found SGM as they did a wonderful job of fixing our fence - so neat and professional work (they knew we had limited budget after the patio work and advised a brilliant solution to fix the problem) Communication is prompt, they arrived on time and left no mess behind. We will replace the entire fence and certainly have SGM on our speed dial. Very much recommend them if you want high quality work and genuine people to deal with!

Garden makeover stage 1. I contacted Steve as I desperately needed my garden sorting. He came and looked to see what was needed as arranged.He quoted me next day and a start date was agreed. He and Simon built my huge raised timber beds today. My garden is not the biggest and is on a slope working space was also limited. As a new build the ground was full of large stones and rubble but they did an absolutely fantastic job,the beds are awesome. Both Steve and Simon were professional punctual and courteous, they kept me informed of progress throughout. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Fantastic job cannot wait for the next stage. I had 2 large, overgrown shrubs which needed clearing to make way for a shed. I expected there might be more to clear behind them - and there was! Steve did a great job of doing the initial work and then quoted for the follow up with a fair offer. He did everything requested, tidied up after himself and is a really nice guy to boot. Used Steve for multiple jobs, Fencing,Cleaning gutters,Painting outside fascias and completely emptying back garden digging out soil and levelling off then type 1 and flattening out. He will also be doing the slabbing and building the new bar in the new year. I generally do not like giving recommendations to other people as always think that if they dont do what they say then they will blame me for the poor recommendation but with Steve I can honestly say that he will be there when he says he will be and the job will be done to the highest standard. Steve was very professional and punctual, He painted and wallpapered our landing and Livingroom to a very high standard, you cannot see any seems in the wallpaper at all. When he fitted the fence it was a really bad weather day and we was expecting a call to say I m sorry but due to the weather but bang on time he was there, and completed it in a day and the finish was superb, we would highly recommend Steve.
