We hired Great Canadian for a large retaining wall and revamp project in our backyard in November 2024 and were thrilled with the final result. The same three-man crew came every day for two weeks, they were kind, polite and hard working and had great ideas to make our yard better. Project was on time and on budget. Would highly recommend!
Today we had the crew from GCLC spend the whole day doing extensive hedge pruning and tree trimming along our property. We have worked with The Great Canadian Landscaping Company on a few projects through out the years. Recently they took on the Landscaping portion of a Coach House project in North Vancouver for us. The team did an amazing job from design, site prep, concrete work, fence installation, paving, planting, lighting, irrigation and more. We have been using GCLC (Great Canadian Landscaping) for a year for our Strata's landscaping and we started using them for Snow removal this year (2019-2020). Our previous company over salted and killed a number of our garden plants as well as an expensive hedge. As well their attention to snow clearing was lacking at best. I was constantly out clearing our walkways and the city sidewalks that where our legal responsibility. GCLC uses IceMelt, a pet safe product, and a much more careful and thoughtful application that seems to not affect our plants as much, AND the "gold star", the snow clearing is down to the concrete. Our sidewalks are clearer than our neighbours! The areas around entrances, recycling and garbage areas are thoroughly cleared making me worry less for my older neighbours whom the slippery conditions are a hazard. Thank you GCLC! The open wiring from the installation of sprinklers, open wiring left a foot above soil speaks volumes about negligence, work ethics, consideration, property devaluation, and supervision, or lack thereof
One problem after another. Poor management. Two projects and three project managers were fired before they were completed. Had to come back three times to fix messes. The owner is arrogant, opinionated and did not want to honor a credit I was offered by his manager for problems his workers caused at my home. Serious management issues with very high turnover. Stay away.
Had an issue with a Gift Certificate for this Company. They took care of it immediately. I was happy with the way handled everything. Very professional.

The Great Canadian Landscaping Company Ltd. performs landscape maintenance at two properties in Vancouver that I manage. Both properties always look great and this really increases the curb appeal of the buildings I manage. They are really on top of the properties landscape maintenance. They always show up when scheduled and do a top rate job! The crews very professional. I find the Maintenance Manager, Derek, always responsive whenever I have a question.
We are very pleased with the landscaping, natural stone retaining wall, front patio and driveway installed on our home by GCLC. Jeremy, Peter, Catharine, Steve and the whole team were all extremely knowledgeable, professional, reliable and provided excellent suggestions on our project. It was a big project for us and the results certainly exceeded our expectations.
Our experience with GCL started off differently than most. An employee, Luke, accidentally backed in to my vehicle in a parking lot. Instead of driving away he went looking for the owner of the vehicle to take responsibility. The owner of GCL made it so easy for us to have it fixed. After having a bad experience with another company, we thought we would give GCL a chance. If you have employees that are responsible for their actions like Luke, you must be a great company to hire! We were right, these guys did a great job. They weren t cheap, but you can t buy a Ferrari for the price of a Honda. Two guys came and worked hard all day and got our job done (garden and our lawn). They were worth every penny. We will recommend them to anyone that asks, and we will be using them every year! Thank you GCL, you guys are awesome!
The Great Canadian Landscaping company did a moderate-sized backyard reno and design for us in October and November. They did a fantastic job and showed up every day until the job was completed, on time and on budget. Stephane and the rest of the crew were a pleasure to work with, and were very meticulous about all details, and had some great suggestions. The backyard looks amazing, and they left the worksite spotless. Cant wait for summer to enjoy it! We highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again!
Its currently snowing outside, and coming down like crazy. But thanks to Great Canadian Landscaping, our sidewalks are clean and free of any ice. I was impressed with their friendliness, and how thorough they are, theyve done a great job. A few days ago, I went out first thing in the morning, and, despite the overnight snow, sidewalks had been already cleaned.
Wonderful experience getting artificial turf installed by Braden, Tony and their team! Would highly recommend them if you re looking for a hard working professional crew to do an excellent job!
They were promt in the beginning, showing up at site meeting. But after that they ignored emails, messages, calls It would save much more time and more professional if they can just be straightforward and say no, we don t have time for you
I hired GCLC last spring to look after 3 buildings and added a 4th one in the summer. I found them to be well organized and very professional. From the time I signed the contract, I was introduce to the team leader who was going to perform the work on site and given their contact information. From their first visit we could see a difference and tenants commented about the improvement. Whenever I had a concern, it was addressed timely and professionally. They have gone beyond and I am very impressed with their services. I would not hesitate to recommend them and they certainly have my business for any future buildings the company acquires.

Last summer we realised a dream! For years we fantasized about transforming our back yard from moss/ant infested concrete pavers with an uninspiring rock garden perimeter to an inspired eating and living space complete with cosy fireplace and easy to maintain yet beautiful landscaping. Choosing companies is mostly a random exercise so from the moment we initially met to discuss the plans, until the project was complete, it was nothing short of spectacular. Chris and his team are fabulous. They completely transformed our backyard! There were many different layers to the project but everything was completed on time and we couldnt be more happy with the end result. Pretty sad that your employee was in such a hurry to park the company vehicle, he has put others in danger by blocking the stop sign. Unacceptable!
I called three times trying to get a quote for some work at my home. I was told each time that Chris would be getting back to me to set up a time to meet at the property. Never received a call back and ended up using a different company. I can appreciate that you may be too busy but at least let people inquiring for an estimate know. Other companies that were overbooked were courteous enough to inform me and recommend another landscaping company
