Mark and his team transformed our new home s yard from an overgrown mess, to a simple beautiful yard we could maintain and looks great. They redid the irrigation and sprinklers as well and did a great job. They did A LOT of work, were easy to work with, knowledgeable, fast, fair price and did an overall great job. We would use him again.

If this rating system went up to 10 stars, my experience and my resulting project installed by Caligreen would get all 10 stars. I have had a lot of contractors conduct work for me, and Caligreen was my best experience. From day one that I called for an estimate of my fairly large project, John provided a detailed estimate. John also was the foreman on the job everyday for the 11 days of project implementation. We had a daily morning walk-through of the project progress and we discussed change that I wanted as the project started taking shape. He was extremely responsive to every question and comment I had (and I had alot). Also, as the foreman, he was there with his crew doing the really hard work also, while supervising the quality. Throughout the entire experience, I continued to notice just how responsive, respectful and polite these contractors are. All unexpected items that popped up were resolved without a defensive attitude. On days that there was more work to be done, John had his brother Mark also working along side him and the crew. That is when I learned this family company has their heart in their companys product. The crew were the same hardworking company employees throughout the entire project. Luis, Martin and Raul, conducted their work with care. They worked in hot Sacramento Valley July/August heat through the entire day, and I could hear them talking, singing and laughing among each other, working really well as a team. I can see that crew takes pride in their work as they smiled brightly when I told them how happy I am with their work. I offered the company to offer me as a reference for any potential customer that is considering this company to do their project.

Quick and professional, took less than two days to fully demo the yard, remove a stump, grade the yard, lay gravel, install a sprinkler system, and set the sod. Yard looks great! Team has been responsive with questions, as well.

Mark and his crew did a great job with our landscaping project. I got a design from another company, then took bids on the work from a few companies. Caligreens bid was around 25% lower than the 2 big companies, and even a little lower than a small unrated company that I took a bid from. They saved me several thousand dollars, and were able to start the work the day after we closed on our new home. Caligreen had strong reviews and they lived up to it. The work was done well, in a timely manner, as quoted. Mark was friendly and helpful at answering questions. We had one small miscommunication that was mainly my fault, and Mark was courteous about it and made sure I was satisfied. I have recommended this company to all of my neighbors and am happy to leave this review.

Working with the folks at Caligreen was wonderful. We explained the general idea of what we wanted; remove and redo the driveway, create a low water, low maintenance front yard. Every step of the way, from planning to actual work done was well coordinated and reviewed with us. We could not be more thrilled and would recommend them whole heartedly.

After a long, complicated process I ended up calling John to rebid the landscape part of my project (I had done the hardscape portion of the project with a great cement vendor I found on Yelp). He came, measured everything, he had saved the original plans, design. He gave me a COMPLETE bid, as well as advice on where to find a gazebo installer, a specific date to start, we agreed, I signed, and he did EXACTLY what he agreed to, in the time he agreed to. He also did a couple of other things that came up, reasonably priced. I now sit at nights and watch the backyard lights shine on the plants and it feels like a million bucks. I would rehire him in a minute to do another similar job (and I may/will if my other son moves here and I buy him another house or I buy another rental). They made the whole process easy, painless and saved my, $6300 and $49,000, respectfully, from my 2 other bids on the landscape portion. And their crew was quiet, respectful and efficient in performing their work. Give them a shot, like I did, you will be pleasantly surprised. I was.

This is a A+ class company. Mark was patient with me I changed my mind 3 times on layout. Mark communicated quickly and I knew each step as it happened. I added concrete, synthetic grass and rock. Mark solved my flooding issue and added a sump pump at his suggestion. The concrete sub contractor was top notch super nice guys! They even helped carry in a heavy box delivery! Well priced compared to 3 other bids and worked wth my budget.

Good people. They do great work. They do everything from concrete to artificial grass! I would highly recommend them!

Just had a landscaping project completed by CaliGreen - in 5 working days, we had a concrete patio, lawn, decorative rock border with trees and plants, full multi-zone irrigation and drainage system, and pea gravel dog run installed - everything looks great!! Excellent professional service! They provided a detailed project bid. They started the project on the planned day, and they completed the job on the planned day. I got lucky to have the company on my project. That was landscape installation on a new construction yard(front and back. Concrete was already installed). Here is what we really liked: 1. Precise schedule- I didnt worry about any kind of delay, which is a real sign of professionalism! 2. 7.30-4:00p.m. each day they did their job, without interruptions(this point could be silly, but so many companies are running more than 1 project at a time and make you fool by all means...from my experience) 3. We hired Caligreen to clean out the previous landscaping on our home and add some concrete, as well as redo the front and back yard landscaping. They picked out beautiful trees and boulders, placed pavers and river rock perfectly and installed decomposed granite that was professionally compacted. I have just completed a complete makeover of both my front and back yard areas. Contacted Mark at Caligreen to get some basic starting information and I was so impressed with that initial contact that I made my decision to go with Caligreen immediately. I explained what I wanted from some additional concrete in my front area, new sod and edging to some very easy to care for landscaping in my backyard. I now have an irrigation system that works and covers everything that needs water beautifully. I was so impressed to have Mark and his crew arrive exactly when they said each day there is no clean up left for me to take care of. As a side note, after my front yard was completed, I had a water issue in my back yard that I reported to Mark. We moved into our forever home and wanted to get a quote for concrete, paver and/or artificial turf backyard. Starting with day 1 with the initial call with the super friendly first contact, working with Caligreen went super smooth and the crew worked nonstop. You can look at the two initial reviews of their work through the process for details, but to save you time, it went all super smooth and well. Plus they were much better price point compared to the other quotes which made me a tad worried but super thankful that we went with them. They only have great reviews for a reason.

James was awful poor customer service and very creepy. He made me feel very uneasy I think he was drinking and under some kind of influence.

Caligreen just finished landscaping our backyard and they were amazing! Within a week of our initial call, Mark came out to provide a free estimate. Then when it came time to complete the work, Mark provided a timeline for when the job will be complete and it was completed on time! Also, him and his team did a thorough cleaning so it was like they were never here, except now we have a beautiful backyard. My husband and I are so grateful for the work Caligreen Landscaping did.

Incredible! From quote to finished product, Caligreen was professional, friendly, prompt, great communication, clean and outstanding work! Would definitely use them again! We had two areas of our backyard already complete but envisioned turf and large pavers to connect the spaces. I showed my design, Caligreen gave excellent feedback and a few suggestions, and it turned out even better than my design! The crew were all so polite and communicated throughout the project which I truly appreciated. And the icing on the cake was project was done a day quicker AND they cleaned up the whole area, making sure that even the areas they hadn t worked on were cleaned up. Thank you Caligreen!

We hired Caligreen in July to do a total front and backyard renovation for both hardscape and landscape. Mark organized everything and was very responsive, both with text and email during the project. We last minute decided to go drought tolerant in the front yard and had to totally change the plans. Mark was flexible and still made it happen on time. The yards looks beautiful and came out exactly as we wanted. He even designed a small pond for my water turtle, which is one my favorite parts of the yard. When one of my lights went out in the yard months after the job was finished, Mark still came by to check it out. We had a great experience working with Caligreen and I highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.

Caligreen hit a home run landscaping my backyard. Everything about them was A+++ from start to finish. They created a park-like oasis with boulders, palm trees and drought resistant plants. Its beautiful! Stunning! Exactly what I wanted! For the nuts and bolts of the project, they replaced our shoddy sprinkler/drip system and put in a new drainage system that fixed a long-standing flooding problem. From there they redesigned a gorgeous water feature that had been a cleaning nightmare for years. Their quote was well-worth the amount of thoughtful planning and detailed work they did. They were flexible and worked collaboratively with me on the design aspects that came to mind as the project progressed. Always arriving on time and keeping in communication with me throughout, the project ended with a homeowners dream - they cleaned up thoroughly and even power washed the hardscape in both the front and back. Customer service is awful! No respect to people

Called Caligreen as 1/3 landscapers to get a bid for some Sod. CG was the only one that returned my call. Had me a quote and got me scheduled just a few hours after sending my plans. Day of install: they showed up on time, and the sod was even delivered early that morning, none of the cut and sit/dry out sod. Install took about 2hrs for ~300sqft of sod + topsoil + sprinklers. It rained the day before so the area was a muddy pit, however the crew made short work of it. Instant yard could not be happier and will 100% be using them in the future for my front yard.

Mark is wonderful to work with; honest, professional, courteous, and his price was affordable. We called other landscapers and none of them showed up and many had quotes that were too high. Mark and his crew arrived on time, did their jobs without any issues, and they left my yard cleaner than they found it. The yard is beautiful and I have gotten many compliments. Thank you Mark!

John took my request on short notice and was fine with me updating my design multiple times and giving me nearly instant quotes each time. Their prices were better than the others I contacted and they did it all in short time. I now have a clean slate for the fence, gate and planters to go in.

I happend to find this company on Google and it was the perfect choice for our backyard project. I had a pool company install our pool and after they were done, Caligreen completed the paver work around the pool and the whole backyard landscape. Looks awsome! I highly recommend them!

I am not even kidding when I say I contacted at least 15-20 different landscape companies for this job. Their quotes were either outrageous as in 3xs what the job shouldve cost, they never followed up with the actual estimate after coming out to look, they were rude or acted bothered because I had a buget and provided an outrageous estimates, they wanted me to pay $1000 just for a yard plan or they no showed after making an appointment. I then went through Home Depot on the advice of a friend and received three referrals. I chose Caligreen. Mark from the beginning was prompt with responses and arrived on time for every part of the job. He knew what needed to be done for each step and offered cost saving alternatives as well. He removed a falling and rotting 50 ft wood wall and replaced it with stone in 2 days. Because he did such a great job on my retaining wall, I kept him around to repair all of the sprinklers in both of my yards, remove another huge rotting and falling wood planter box at my driveway and sod the backyard. I would definitely recommend Caligreen and will continue to use them fo my future projects.
