I've read all the reviews for this company and I decided to use them because my neighbors have all had great success with them. They came out a couple of weeks and gave me a price for the whole year. I paid it in full so I can get a 5% discount. There was some miscommunication between me and the gentleman that came out and when I called the office I told them my concerns. David, who I believe is the owner call me back promptly and told me he would figure it all out. He called me later on in the afternoon resolved all the issues and has me on track for the exact program I want. The miscommunication was not the person's fault that came out. He listened to what I had to say and he was very very informative on the issues I was having with my brand new lawn. I just replaced my front and back lawn from centipede to Zoysia. I had a ton of questions because I have to spending all that money I wanted to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed. I think when I interrupted him writing up the proposal I might have distracted him. Based upon my neighbor's experiences with this company and the one little glitch that we resolved today with no problem or arguments at all, I would highly recommend David and his crew to anyone that needs service. I've only had one service done and every weed that was popping up is gone. Looking forward to a long and healthy relationship
WEEDMAN....good until they are not....Had them spraying our lawn for almost 2 years. Office was good to work with, they brought the lawn up nice. Then we got some weeds they struggled to get rid of.. We told them we would rather have a few weeds then to keep spraying chemicals turning our lawn yellow to no avail. Then they brought out the big guns even though we asked them to leave them alone. Whatever they spot sprayed KILLED all the grass around the weeds...and guess what, the weeds flourished and grew into the areas of dead grass. Then the pompous owner instead of apologizing said he didn't like us complaining and went on to say what a great job they had done in the past and that they cant change their services for one customer. It was spot spraying on the weeds. They could have just not come...Hired Fairway lawns and saved $40 per application. They do a lot of my neighbors grass and they look great.
My previous lawn care vendor had let so many weeds infest the lawn that I got fed up and asked around for another company. I was referred to Weedman. That was three years ago. Last year, I bragged that I had the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. I literally couldn’t find a single weed in mid-summer, and it still looks great. I also like their $75 referral fee. I’ve gotten $300 off my bill just on referrals since I’ve been with them. I also love the humor in the informational emails they send out. Lastly, the lady who usually answers the phone (Ashley) is always a pleasure to talk to. These folks do a fantastic job.
Used weed man in Mount pleasant for a couple years. The weeds were getting worse instead of better. The more they tried to control them the worst they got.. then they used the stronger chemicals and I've had huge yellow blotches all over my lawn where they were killing the grass ,and the weeds still kept growing. When I complained in an email that they saw was too strong they decided they didn't want to do business with me anymore. They make a great presentation but no follow through and the owner is rude.
Just switched from another popular company, today we had our 2nd application. First of all, the result from first application is very impressive, compare to the company we used last year. Second, both technicians respect their job, very detailed work. So far, we are super happy.
Newest Update. Please read my 300 plus reviews. You will see this is the only business I have ever had to do this with. After dropping these losers my yard is coming back. I now have grass in the areas these losers told me was due to my dogs. And personally, I do not care if the loser owner shared my Nextdoor post. I can also dox people.I was just trying to help others stay away from this poor practice. So Weed Man if you still have an issue before posting my personal info please call me and we can discuss. Update 2023. After missing their tech this morning I called them because my back didnt get treated. I then received a call from their management basically saying it is my fault. Not sure where the customer falls into business anymore. Seems like only the vendor is right now days. They seemed pleased to let my contract end. I would not recommend this service and highly encourage Weed Man to work on its customer service. Blaming a customer is horrible business practice. Now I have a huge dirty spot in my backyard that has been dead since they started and I am stuck with it. Thanks weedman.I am attaching pics of what my yard looks like today. I used to have a beautiful lawn. And don't just take my advice. Go to the Better Business Bureau and see all the complaints there. Most revolve around local management. Earlier the owner berated me on another social media site airing all my information to the world. The franchise should look at what this is causing and fix the issue. I guarantee to continue to warn people of bad businesses. If this owner spent the same amount of time on his business as he does attacking feedback online his business wouldn't suck so bad. Weed Man what you do is nothing short of spectacular. There is not a single weed or dry spot anywhere to be found. It’s like walking on a lush carpet. You are far worth every penny. I can’t even count the number of compliments we get on our yard. Thank you for turning our ho hum grass into a thing of beauty.
As you can tell from my profile, I do not leave many reviews; however, this business deserves one. The people at Weed Man are exceptional. I unwisely installed some sod grass at my house without any thought to bugs, fertilizer, soil, or care. I had to give up. By the time David showed up, all that he had to deal with was a bunch of browning twigs among unwanted weeds with large dead patches due to a disease and obvious bug infestations. There were so many deficiencies that I could hardly follow the many cures David prescribed, but his pricing seemed very reasonable so I moved forward. Step forward a few months, WHA-LA! I have healthy green grass everywhere without patches of dirt. Their guys came often to apply this and that, their formulations worked. Ashley in the office was wonderful too as she set up frequent communication and made it easy. How could this be any better? I am very pleased. Awesome job Weed Man!!

I had scheduled 2 appointments with this company for quotes on 2 properties with a guy named Peter. Twice he did not show and did not call. Not being able to make an appointment is forgivable if you call and let them know and ask to reschedule. But to do this twice is not forgivable and quite unprofessional.

Incapable of customized service. Preparing to re-sod the front yard (a six month period in which service should not be performed), we had asked for an annual service package for the backyard, then incorporating the front later in the year. Their quote was prepared as though they would be treating the entire yard for the whole year, without pricing consideration for the absence of service in the front for half the annual service period. After asking them to reconsider the pricing, their response was to call them after the six month moratorium on the front. Pathetic response.
Honest, realistic opinions and recommendations. Knowledgeable. Came out to see my yard in person to do an estimate- other companies I looked into gave me estimates based solely on satellite imagery, and Weed Man still beat them out. Pricing is overall very fair- they do not try to upsell. Came recommended by my landscaper and I definitely agree.

They care about customer service and ensure my lawn gets what it needs to remain healthy, desiease free and looking beautiful. If Ive ever had a concern I call and someone comes out very promptly to check it out and take whatever action is necessary to fix the issue.
Someone suggested to try weed man- results poor - my advice stick with try green or lawn doctor for results
Couldnt get the creeping Charlie under control in my yard so I started using the Weedman In April 2021. Just under 3mo, and I can tell a huge difference. They are very knowledgeable and very prompt. I highly recommend!
We have had service with Weedman, USA for over 10 years and am real pleased with the services I received. They call ahead prior to coo ok Ming out, are nice people, professional. My yard has not looked better.

David and his crew saved my newly sodded yard that had a couple of diseases in it. My lawn looked dead and Weed Man of Charleston brought it back to life! The crew is very knowledgeable and always responsive to my calls with questions or concerns. I highly recommend them for care and maintenance of any kind of lawn. Friendly staff and very personable to work with...good people!
We have used Weedman since 2012- we have never been disappointed. Fantastic service, fantastic staff! But I want to mention most recently my husband had heart surgery and the call from Weedman came in the night before and so I canceled the service not knowing just how long my husband would be out of work- Weedman treated my yard that day in error- David agreed to not charge me for that day s treatment,but also offered to treat my lawn the next month for free. That kindness went a long way as I shared that with my entire cul de sac and many other friends. David and his staff at Weedman not only offer a service to our family, they have always listened to our lawn concerns and much more. Thank you David and your Weedman staff- our family was touched by your generosity not only during our trying time,but during a tough time for businesses and the year 2020
We just signed up for the annual program. We had our first treatment last week. Customer service has been good. I will update my review after a few months on the actual weed service.
Weed Man does a good job and I used them for a couple of years to give my yard a bit of rehab, especially to ensure a couple of good aeration seasons . Not sure how long Ill want to try this on my own, but they are certainly an option I would consider again in the future.

Just started using Weedman services and received my first application so its still too early to comment on the results. But I was very impressed with the initial consultation and services offered. Ive used several lawn care firms in the past with unsatisfactory results. I believe this company will take an equal pride in the condition and care of my lawn. Looking forward to working with them. Disappointed in poor communication. Made several phone calls/emails to follow-up on needed chemicals for my lawn only to be told days later that scheduling/manpower issues prevented them from getting back to me. Cancelled service with them today as I dont have time to do their job.
This is my second year using Weedman of Charleston. Ive found their service to be quite good, and the quality of my lawn shows it. I am a fanatic about my lawn, and spent years applying chemicals myself. While contracting their service is a more expensive than applying the fertilizers, weed treatments, insect treatments and fungal treatments myself, Weedman puts down the appropriate treatment at the appropriate time. I always struggled with having the right treatment at the right time, and ended up applying treatments late. .I also bought more treatment than I needed and storing it unnecessarily. My lawn is good enough that three of my neighbors have terminated their existing lawn service to contract with Weedman. I have not ever had a communication problem with Weedman of Charleston, I usually get a call back within a day. I suspect that some of the bad reviews are from people that dont know what it takes to have a great lawn, or run a business.
This is an edit of my original review once those issues were cleared up. I was contacted by the owner after my review to discuss my issues. He was very forthright and understanding to my complaints. Some of the issues I had in regards to scheduling I was informed were due to poor communication of the schedule to homeowners via the website itself. Additional issues were unavoidable as well. So, once trucks were fixed and some workforce came back, the issues went away promptly. This is going in to my second year of lawn care with Weed Man Charleston. My yard looks absolutely fantastic, and much earlier in the year than last year. We did a lot of hard work in regards to keeping our dogs under control during the more dormant periods, but Im very pleased with the actual results of the lawn care. Having two different grasses in the front and back yard makes it challenging to get the right chemicals on my own that dont get wasted. I have a much better lawn than most others in my subdivision and recommend them highly to anyone I come in contact with. Thanks David for caring for your customers.
This guy defiantly knows a lot about lawn care, but needs to work on his people skills. We have used them for about a year, but recently we have had weeds and moths in the yard. He was going to have the yard resprayed to fix the problem, but no one ever came. We were billed for the service that we never received. Instead of trying to fix the mistake, the weed man just got angry and defensive. It will be the last time we call him. The service can work, but is much more expensive than other alternatives. Owner also needs to work on customer service
We had such a wonderful experience with Weedman of Charleston! They came out and did an evaluation on our lawn and gave us SO much information on what type of grass we have, what kind of weeds we are getting, how to care for our lawn etc. We are new(ish) homeowners who have no idea what were doing, and they were so helpful and informative!. Highly recommend!!
