I recently had Haymakers complete an unusual job for me. I, as well as most of my neighbors, have used Haymakers multiple times in the past. I was needing a large street light lamp post with an extending lightening rod removed from the back of my house. Could not find anyone to take it out. A friend mentioned asking tree service and Haymakers happened to be next door taking the neighbor's tree down. I asked Rich and he said sure! He sent an estimate and it was very reasonable. They called the week before and said they would be out Wed.. I knew they get behind with weather and such so I asked if they have to delay a day, let me know as soon as possible because I have to work the next day. Sure enough, Rich called me in the morning and even though they were 1/2 day behind due to weather, he knew I had to work so he squeezed me in. They brought the big crane and did fabulous job retrieving the pole from behind my house. They had to put the crane in front of the house as there was not enough access to my backyard. It was quite the sight to see that huge metal post being lifted over top of my house! The guys were incredible, not a scratch and bump into anything! They were all very professional and polite, cleaned up everything and was done in less than 2 hours. Even with a delay of wasps in my siding right at the post and a neighbor's truck that needed moving, they were extremely patient and proficient. They get 5 starts from me! The gentlemen here were Rich, Ryan, Cameron and Mike. The receptionist, Jasmine, was also very friendly when I called to get some answers and when I went in to pay the bill. 5 STARS FOR ALL!! Used Haymaker tree to remove a large branch on our Maple tree that was broken and hanging onto other branches over our patio. They came out to assess the day I called and came out and removed them next business day! I have used them in the past to trim all our trees and have been very satisfied with the work that was done. The crew was very friendly and did a wonderful job trimming and cleaning up and saving our patio! I highly recommend them for any tree work that needs done!
Haymaker was cutting trees down on the property across the street from me but decided to drop all the timbered logs on my front lawn without notifying me or asking my permission. Not only did they create a huge liability with their haphazardness in their log stacking but my lawn is now destroyed: the culvert they placed the logs on is caved in, and a week later they haven’t been picked up. Do not give these people business.
Haymaker did an unbelieve job transforming our backyard from overgrown woods, to a beautiful place to spend time with our family. Their crew was courteous and professional for the two-three days they spent at the property. I would highly recommend Haymaker to anyone looking for tree work or landscaping creativity. They sent two young guys out and they were professional, courteous and asked for preferences. Had them build a small bed for our camera bird feeder and they did great. Had them move some dirt, rocks and other things. They charged by the hour but they worked the entire time. I would definitely use them again.
We recently booked Haymaker to remove two large white pine trees from our property. While the tree cutting process itself was satisfactory, my overall experience was marred by a lack of communication and trash cleanup issues. The actual tree removal went smoothly, but the problems arose afterward. The crew left trash around our yard, which was disappointing and unexpected. This oversight necessitated an additional effort on our part to clean up after the work was supposedly completed. One of the major concerns was the inconsistent communication. I understand that scheduling can be challenging due to various factors, and I'm flexible about the timing of the job. However, there was a lack of clarity regarding whether the crew had finished their work or not. Despite making calls to confirm the status, we were left in the dark about their progress, the nice person who answered the phone didn’t even appear to know. This uncertainty led to a frustrating situation where my husband began cleaning up the yard, believing the job was finished, only for the crew to return unexpectedly. This miscommunication resulted in wasted time and effort on both our part and the crew's. Furthermore, a specific incident highlighted the lack of coordination. After being informed that the job was completed, my husband went ahead and reinstalled a fence that had been taken down during the tree removal process (we were aware the fence would be taken out). To our surprise, the crew showed up again after the fence was already back in place. This back-and-forth not only caused confusion but also led to unnecessary work being done on our property for both sides. In summary, my experience with Haymaker was not ideal. While the tree cutting aspect was satisfactory, the poor communication, trash cleanup issues, and unexpected returns by the crew left a negative impression. The one-star rating primarily reflects the disappointment of having to clean up trash.
I wanted to give you feedback on my landscaping installation yesterday. First of all, RJ did an excellent job communicating prior to arrival. The crew arrived on time and RJ communicated with me as the job progressed and valued my guidance and feeback. I am very happy with the end result, my beds look phenomenal. I am glad the beds were lined prior to the river rock application and the selection of trees and plants are perfect. The crew also cleaned up all debris and hosed off all dirt. This was my first experience with Haymaker and I am very pleased I chose your company to do the work. If/When I need additional work, you will be first on my list to call. Most people only provide negative feedback, especially in today’s society. I just wanted send along my praise for the hard work and job well done!

I had a HUGE tree that needed taken down, and I am so HAPPY with the job that Haymakers did for me. From the tree-monkey, to the stump grinder, to the repairer of the lawn, great job!!! When they left, everything was cleaned up like you wouldn t even have known all the work that had been done that day! And even though the some of the bigger limbs would make divots in the yard, they have a separate crew that comes and fills the holes with dirt and reseeds the lawn. The price was beyond reasonable for all the work they did, and every worker that showed up was pleasant and respectful. I definitely would recommend them. A+++++

I recently had Haymaker Tree & Lawn out to trim my 5 large and overgrown trees, and they did an absolutely superb job. I had a great experience getting my two cherry trees down, which I was nervous about. Very hard workers who did a wonderful job of trimming 2 mature oaks that desperately needed the work. Cleaned up thoroughly and refastened gate they opened to gain access to yard. Would give them 6 stars if option.

One of the best in the business! Had a tricky one. Split tree. 150 foot tall. Leaning on another tree and ten feet from the electric lines. Called on a Monday. Work done on a Wednesday. This was an easy task for this experienced crew! Mark the owner runs this family business well like a family. When your teams feels part of a family you treat each customer like you care. Because they do! Top rate local family run company! Hard to come bye these days let them take care of you and you will be pleased!!!
When we had an issue with a tree dangerously close to a line, Haymaker Tree and Lawn was super responsive. Smith was quick to have someone there and they did a fantastic job with clean up! Truly a seamless experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

Bobby, Brice and Tom were out on our property today taking down 4 large trees and helping get branches off our roof. They were amazing! They were efficient, fast, kind, helpful and clean. It was really incredible to watch them take down two very tall trees in a tough location between our house and our neighbors. They were great and I will definitely be calling them again! I had 2 very large trees cut down, grounded out and grass planted. From the estimate to completion they were prompt, efficient, and cleaned up the entire area around where the trees were. They did a great job and I am very happy with their services.
The young men that came to my property to remove 2 very large trees and trim 2 more were very prompt, polite and a real pleasure to work with. When they finished the job everything was cleaned up and the yard was relatively undisturbed. The trees were difficult to get to but they finished the job with no problems whatsoever! I would definitely have Haymaker Tree back again!

Super happy with the job Haymaker did taking down our 70+ foot Cottonwood tree! We received multiple calls the week before to keep us updated about the timing. Day of showed up as promised and whole team (crew leader Rich) was professional and courteous. We have an irrigation system and landscape lighting so they had someone climb the tree and then gently lowered every limb down by a rope. We did have every sprinkler head marked with marking paint and orange flags. We were impressed with how gentle they were on the lawn and steering clear of all the sprinkler heads. At the end of the day they made sure to clean up the yard and driveway. Would absolutely use Haymaker again and highly recommend!

This is the tree/ stump removal company you want. Very nice to deal with on the phone and in person when they came to do the estimate. Efficient, conscientious to detail and cleanliness, and affordably priced. They even reached out to me by cell while on site to point out an item in the yard I wasnt aware, asking if I wanted them to address ...which I did. Great company - you wont be disappointed.

Did a great job removing our tree. We had a few quotes that all seemed to be unreasonable and haymaker was the cheapest and the work was done in a reasonable amount of time and we are happy with the service!

Called here 3 times, they never did get back with me.
Due to working a ton I had my parents help facilitate putting a new lawn in at my house and they chose haymakers.. after the first day my front lawn was not even and it looked terrible so my dad called and they had to come out and redo it.. then my fence was broken and they never put it back on the hinges and my dog ran away at 3am when I got off work.. overall it was not a professional $1900 job.. Today after having a long day at work I was getting out of my car and was bombarded by two men.. which I have never seen before.. nor did they introduce themselves to me.. the one man said I m here because of a review that was left on Facebook from your dad I was caught off guard and the man was defense and yelling from the beginning. He said they did not break my fence. I take him over to show him.. the fence is clearly crooked.. 4 inches lower than it s supposed to be and BENT and he kept yelling at me that it was not broken that the dirt is just too high..then tells me the guy Matt came back that night and put the fence back on.. I said no.. I definitely put it back on myself after my dog ran down the road at 3am.. and the man who I now know as mark- kept proceeding to tell me no that Matt did it!!?? I did not appreciate an unannounced visit and to be bombarded and ridiculed by men who did not introduce themselves to me at my house about a professional job that I was unhappy about. I wish mark the owner would have asked me what I was unhappy about and did not immediately start yelling at me and being defensive.

I could not be happier with the work that was done at my house by Haymaker Tree and Lawn. When quoting the work they accurately described what was going to be done with much detail. They performed the job exactly as described. The crew was very professional as well. I have already recommended them to three of my friends and they are just a satisfied.

I had a large tree blow down on my power line to the house so this situation was an emergency. I call the office in the morning by afternoon I received an email with a quote. When I called the office to inquire about timing I was told they could be there first thing the next day. They came the next morning just like I was told. The crew leader told me what they were going to do and proceeded to get to work. The crew was very efficient and professional had the tree down, cut up and everything cleaned up by early afternoon. I was very pleased with their work and recommend them. I will definitely call them for any future tree work.

Haymakers removed 11 trees from my property and pruned my maple tree. They did a wonderful job! One thing that I really appreciate about their work was putting up with me; I kept asking them to come out to have just 1 more tree removed, and can you remove just 1 more branch. They happily accommodated my requests, continued to come out, clean up, and priced me extremely fairly. My neighbors are jealous!! On top of that, Haymakers knew the names of each tree and offered professional advice to promote the health of my remaining trees including simply the angle of the cuts of the limbs when pruning. Haymaker Tree and Lawn took care of 2 enormous pine trees that were extremely close to our house and did a phenomenal job! They were booked out a couple of months and we had to reschedule due to a week or rain, but every time I reached out to them Michelle was very responsive and able to provide updated information. The price for the tree removal was spectacular. Great service, great value. Strongly recommend Haymaker Tree and Lawn. We are already planning on calling them for future work.

I hired Haymaker Tree and Lawn to cut down a huge old tree in my backyard. I was thoroughly impressed from the first phone call I made to inquire about their service- until the last day when they cleaned up. The work crew were all very courteous and hard-working. I would sometimes look out the window to watch as they worked and I was in awe of the precision and technique they used to tackle the tree. Talk about well-oiled machines! I was also impressed with their sensitivity toward nature and the environment they were working in. There were several squirrel nests in the old tree and one newborn was still in a nest. One of the fellows brought it to us and we were able to take it to Zippo Wildlife Center. We appreciated this! The cleanup job they did was thorough and went beyond what we expected as they planted grass and covered it with straw. I highly recommend Haymaker Tree and Lawn. They do an excellent job at a competitive price. I am so glad I chose them to do the job. I could not have been more satisfied.
Best family run business
What these guys do have going is at least they are super nice guys! Polite on the site, however Dominion had them come in and take down a tree. They did phenomenal work with that. Nothing in my backyard or neighbors was destroyed. Mad skills. Not at all happy with the clean up. This is going to take days if we do this ourselves to even out the huge ruts in our yard or pay another company and finish what Haymakers started. They did great at the tree service but forget about the lawn part.
Not professional. Have been getting the run around for 2 weeks. 1st lame excuse was that man doing job got stick in eye. Had to call them back for another appointment when they didnt show up. Scheduled a day. They never showed up or gave a call to reschedule. Sure hope they dont show up. They will be turned away.

We set up an appointment to have somebody come out and give an estimate to trim trees. Haymaker never showed up, consistent with other reviews on google. AVOID!!
Never showed after weeks and weeks telling me they were coming to cut trees down. They get one star for coming out right away to give price but that didnt do any good. When they have NO follow thru.
I had haymaker take down two large dead trees in my back yard. The price was great and I was impressed with how professional they are. The crew they sent out did great job of cleaning up our yard when they finished. All their equipment looks newer and well maintained. Very easy company to deal with.
