SavATree in Norcross

UPDATE: Again, now after recent snowstorms, its SavATree to the rescue. The weight of the snow and ice broke a 30-40-ft. branch on a tall pine, and it was dangling dangerously over our backyard. Two other very large pine trees also had to be taken down, as well as a juniper. Even allowing time for getting permits, the work was done quickly and neatly, with Stuart Princes crew putting down plywood to protect our lawn from heavy machinery, and cleaning up completely afterwards so our yard was left looking better than before. And of course, Stuart stopped by to check on progress. I cant recommend them enough, and would give another 5 stars if I could. ________________ Weve been using SavATree for many years, since it was 404-Cut-Tree, because of how informative and responsive arborist Stuart Prince is, and how excellent their work is in keeping our trees healthy, but today was exceptional. David and Sean trimmed all the dead wood out of a stand of junipers that have been trying to recover from the damage caused by a heavy snow a few years ago, and after they finished hand-pruning and cutting away dead limbs, these trees dont just look great, they look like theyre thriving. They also cleaned up some overhanging branches from river birches so skillfully that you cant even tell the trees have been pruned. Please, SavATree, send us David and Sean every time we need you. They are superb!

The timing and service was on point

I had a situation with some HOA trees encroaching my property and getting close to my home. My next door neighbor had encountered HOA large tree branches resting on her new roof. I discussed the situation with HOA and finally got the situation resolved. Save A Tree company arrived today and did a fantastic job of removing the necessary trees, my neighbor was so excited not knowing her situation would be resolved today as well. They did a great job!! Cleaned up well also. Thank you to the work crew Eric, Mike, and Keith aka 42 . I would highly recommend this company very professional with all necessary equipment.

They did work for my hoa in our condo subdivision, The Arbors at Sandy Springs and the guy threatened to pull a tree on me. And they didnt even cone off the area, to prevent possible injuries. Unprofessional!!!!. I had to call the cops on them as well for the incident.

Four years after my previous review and Im back to tell you once again, that SavATree is great. We found water intrusion in the basement and crawl space. The waterproofers determined that roots from trees planted too near the foundation were putting pressure on the walls, causing them to buckle. I called SavATree and, as always, Stuart came out to evaluate the situation. While he was here we also walked the rest of my heavily wooded lot to ensure that any other problem trees would be taken care of. I had multiple pines that were becoming unhealthy, so needed 7 trees removed and a couple of others trimmed back. The service was scheduled promptly and Santos, along with crew Jose, Carlos, and Luewin arrived at the appointed time. Santos walked the yard with me and we agreed that the instructions he had were exactly as discussed with Stuart. I was concerned that 3 of the trees were extremely close to my house, and I was able to watch as they took the trees down section by section and dropped the huge trunks precisely where intended. As always, they cleaned up as they went along. After two days, they left my yard immaculate. Except for the stumps, which will be ground next week, and a huge pile of trunks, which will be hauled away next week, you couldnt really tell they had been there. Oh, and I got a huge pile of free mulch for my yard! I have used 404-Cut-Tree, now SavATree several times over the years and always call them when I need work like this done. Stuart always does a great job as arborist and helps me identify any potential problems so we can head them off while reassuring me about concerns I may have which are not problems. He has never sold me any service I do not need. This time, I needed a tree removed as well as extensive cleanup of existing plantings that need to be replaced. Milton, Jorge, and Jesus arrived punctually. We discussed what was to be done per the instructions Stuart had provided and they went to work. They did an outstanding job, as always, were thorough, fast, and cleaned up afterward. I always recommend them when anyone needs tree service.

Highly recommend! We have now used Savatree twice and have been very pleased with their professionalism and tree work. A few years ago, they removed some dead trees and they recently removed some dead branches and did some uplimbing. Morgan Prince from Savatree came out to provide us with a reasonably priced estimate and was able to schedule us in 2 days! The day the project began, Morgan came out to ensure that the crew understood the project. They also asked for permission to use the driveway (which helped in keeping the project costs down). When they finished, they walked the property with me to review their work and ensure my satisfaction. I will definitely hire them again! Great company!

We have a lot of trees on our property in Milton, GA, and many of those trees are prized large, old oaks. For the past several years, weve trusted SavATree to care for our trees. The excellent crews have pruned our trees and deep-fertilized their roots. Weve had a lot of storms blow through without any damage to our trees. In addition, we now have quite a few pines that have fallen prey to pine bark beetles. Morgan Prince came right out to survey the damage and will have our dead and dying trees out of here in a jiffy. SavATree will also treat our surrounding trees and shrubs to prevent the infestation from spreading. Wed used a different and very good tree service prior to SavATree but Morgan and his team get the same excellent quality work done more quickly and at a much more competitive price. We are very pleased!

I cant recommend this company enough. Specifically, weve used arborist Stuart Prince for 3 large projects over the last few years- clearing out our over grown backyard (think woods), and bringing down massive trees on two separate occasions. Stuart is very knowledgeable and patient. He takes his time walking the property and discussing the goals of the project. He shares his knowledge freely, and even took the time to make sure I knew how to identify poison ivy (city kid here). His team worked efficiently and safely, and cleaned up well after the job. Most recently, his team took down a massive tree that was very close to the house- there was no damage to the home, and no close calls. I highly recommend Stuart and his team, and I plan to hire them again when needed in the future.

We have a large water oak situated close behind our home and recently engaged a landscaper to lay pavers for a patio and build a wall at the foot of this tree. The tree is the centerpiece of this outdoor area. Some of the roots of the tree had to be severed to level the area to make it usable for us. SavATree has been helpful in sending Stuart, an arborist, to keep eyes on the tree and administer ArborKelp treatment to encourage root growth, and when needed, trim dead branches. We are happy customers and appreciate having an educated and certified arborist looking after our tree.

Met my high standards. From the initial quote from Anthony to the execution of taking down 5 trees and pruning 2 more by Santos, Jose, and Shawn I was very impressed by SavAtree s professionalism and equipment. They don t just claim to have General Liability and Workers Comp. Insurance but had a certificate issued to me from their insurance company. They showed up and walked the job with me, and were able to safely bring down the trees from a trac drive telescoping boom lift. Prices were very reasonable especially considering the level of service and equipment provided. I highly recommend them for both residential and commercial tree work. I found them through BOMA.

5-Stars!! I have an old Black Cherry that had lots of dead limbs and was in need of attention. Due to its location, downward slope of hill near electrical lines, I never thought getting those limbs removed would be possible. Savatree team lead by Santos, along with Elam and Jose, worked magic on that tree along with the help of their wonderful portable cherry picker. I could not be more pleased! I am anxious to see what the organic kelp feeding will do for this tree. Great company, great service! I highly recommend!

Dealing with Stuart was a pleasure. He was responsive, connected via multiple modalities for our convenience, and was extremely flexible providing multiple quotes and honest advice. On 5/15/24 the crew, Santos, Jose, and Elan completed the work professionally and were courteous. Tree fell in my back yard during strong storm. Savatree scheduled an arborist for the next morning to check it out and price it for removal. After accepting the estimate a crew was available later the same day and they took care of the issue in two hours. Efficient, careful and knowledgeable. 24 hours after the tree fell it was being removed. Yard was carefully blown clean. I have used them numerous times previously and will definitely call them again when the need arises. While I hate losing trees they make the process painless for the homeowner. A+, folks! Start to finish. Chandler came out, evaluated our trees and requested the DDH permits within 2 business days. After approval, we were scheduled in a week! Day of removal: David, Daniel, and Sean were absolutely exceptional. The team showed up exactly when they said they would and stayed for almost 10 hours - in the rain - to get the full job done (11 diseased trees and brush). We took the morning off from work in case we were needed. We weren t needed after the first 20 minutes, and we found ourselves mesmerized by how talented the team was and watching them do their magic. Savatree has been helping us with our trees and shrubs for several years. They are very knowledgeable and professional, and always do a great job. So my HOA is very strict and they required that I get a permit to remove my tree. I did and I scheduled SavATree to remove it. They looked at the tree and was actually able to save it!! Dave Kolb and Chandler Strong came from SavATree and they literally saved my tree!! I didnt have to remove the tree and they showed me the healthy part of the tree so that it will regrow beautifully. Incompetent lawn care service followed by even worse customer service. I prepaid for a tree and lawn service in the spring of 2021. In the fall of 2021 I come to find out that the diagnosis of my grass type that was done in the spring was wrong. I realized this when I saw different looking shoots coming up after my lawn was top seeded in the fall. I end up getting confirmation that they had identified my lawn as fescue when its really centipede. After doing some research on my own, these two types of grass look completely different. How a lawn specialist can make this mistake is mind-boggling. When the lawn specialist came back out, he admitted it was their fault that Im not to worry because they would make it right. Specifically saying that they would come back in the spring and re-seed with the proper seed type and that in the meantime, they could come back and spray to kill off the fescue, which they did (spray fescue). When I recently contacted them to confirm what the plan is for the proper re-seed this spring, I was advised that this couldnt be done because they dont carry centipede seed. After a little bit of back and forth they finally came back with their offer. They said that they would get the centipede seed and re-seed the lawn on their own dime but only if I committed to another year of servicing. They were also quick to remind me that they came back and killed off the fescue on their own dime as well. So in the end, their make good to me was that they would cover the costs to correct their own mistakes but only if I committed to another $1,000+ for servicing this season. All while, on the terms and conditions document one of the terms is: YOUR SATISFACTION IS IMPORTANT - Should our service fall short of your expectations, please contact us immediately and we will do everything we can to make it right.

This is the second time weve used Savatree and both times, theyve done excellent work taking down trees that were very close to our house. They took great care to make sure no damage was done to the house or the fence.

Morgan Prince and the entire team were an absolute pleasure to work with...Morgan was very thorough in evaluating our trees and educating us on issues. Communication was great during the whole process. The team of guys that removed/pruned the trees were very nice and very skilled at what they do. I have a 60+ foot Willow oak tree that really needed trimming after years of neglect resulting in the area where grass would not grow getting larger and larger. Also, the tree shade began to cause the neighbors grass to not grow and passing trucks and buses would hit the branches. Stuart the arborist did an outstanding job consulting on this tree to shape it in a way that would not harm the tree and would allow sunlight under the tree. Also, the little dead branches were removed. Increasingly I ve had to pick up more and more of those branches every time a storm or wind came. Eric Straight the crew leader and the other worker were absolutely professional and knew exactly what they were doing. It was very important to me that this very large tree in my front yard be pruned professionally to have the best outcome. That is what I got. I will be using the company for other trees on my property in the future.

I worked with David Kolb at Savatree to trim trees. They left after doing about half the limbs requested. Then they sent a bill for the entire job. After requesting they come out and finish the job, they never responded to me. But they sent my account to Collections!

I am an Interior Designer for Interiors and Garden, so my lawn is very important to me. I started using SavATree 3 years ago because they are certified Arborist and extremely knowledgeable about the variety of plants and trees I have in my garden. I also wanted an expert to prune my Blue Atlas Cedar trees into a hedge. David, the chief Arborist, is very responsive and knowledgeable. He personally attends to some of my trees. Matt is also a certified plant expert/arborist and is in charge of fertilize and nutrients for all my shrubs and plants. I like the organic approach. My lawn is lush and green. My Zoysia turf in the backyard had developed a fungus over the winter months and the SavATree are working diligently to treat and eliminate. They have several difference lawn service levels. The Savatree crew were absolutely on task and focused. From the initial meeting with Dave Kolb the arborist to the final cleanup everything went very well. Our job was a major one, it took a crew of 4 approximately 4 days for the tree removal and stump grinding. We had several gigantic trees over hanging the house, which made things both complicated and dangerous. The focus on safety and overall strategy was fantastic, you can really appreciate a full team of professionals working together taking every possible precaution. There was a lot of pride in the crew, they were really trying to do the best job possible, without trying to rush and definitely following every safety precaution. Even the way they parked all the trucks and equipment was within company guidelines for safety, they had all the latest high tech equipment and followed very specific protocols for each given task. My arborist, Morgan, is very knowledgeable and provides great recommendations. The crew was on time, completed the tree trimming work efficiently, and cleaned up everything afterward. That part of my yard now looks better than ever.

Called Stuart Prince at Sav A Tree a couple of years ago when I was worried about about the three big oak trees on our property. He developed a plan and we were able to save two of the three trees. We also used the company to remove the dead tree. They were efficient, professional and were able to remove a > 100 ft tree from my fenced-in backyard with no appreciable damage to the lawn or any of my existing landscaping. They did such a good job, I asked them to look at my lawn, which was being treated and fertilized by another company. I wasnt happy with how the grass was doing and we had a weed issue. Stuart developed a comprehensive plan for mosquito control, weed control and improving the health of the lawn. It was a little more expensive than the other company but I was essentially paying for something that wasnt effective. I decided to go with Sav a Tree. They have been treating my lawn for about 9 months now and the weeds are basically gone and the grass is so much healthier than Ive ever seen it. Happy to pay for quality work. Would definitely recommend.

Im remiss in waiting so long to review SavATree. Dave Brown and his crew removed a tree and pruned other trees back in January, and they were very friendly and efficient. The salesperson, Morgan Prince, started the process with his usual efficient service and great attitude, and Dave and his crew completed it in the same manner.

We highly recommend Sav-A-Tree, and the team of Ilser, Alejandro, and Chepe. They did an excellent job with the removal of four trees as well as the pruning of two others. Even though the ground was very soft due to recent heavy rains, they took extra precautions to ensure the lawn was not damaged. They cleaned up the lawn and the surrounding areas so well it was difficult to tell work had been done. We were also very pleased with Morgan, who came out and inspected the trees and took care of all of the necessary permits for the trees to be removed. Morgan s communication throughout the process was exceptional. We will definitely call them again should we need their services.

Using SavATree was a very positive experience for me from beginning to end. From the professional sales person, Morgan Prince, to the tree professionals doing the work of removing a large leaning pine tree rotted at the base, and trimming the many large oaks in front of my home in Alpharetta, GA. The funny part was having three guys work on the trees with the same name Jose, a.k.a. Meja, Alejandro, and Chepe. They work very well together and are perfectionists. Actually, I may add, true artist in their ability to make large oak trees look very stately. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting the best quality work done on their property.

I used this company one time several years ago. They came back to trim the trees they missed the first time. Ever since then they have hounded me to fertilize my trees including coming to my house without my approval and then trying to get me to pay the bill. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

The guys came out for a quote and quoted me 5x more than 3 other companies quoted me. One thing that stood out to me was the guy that looked me in my eyes and kept telling me that my neighbor had to write permission for me to cut tree limbs that are hanging in my yard, after I told him she was aware. It was as if he thought I was lying (which didn t feel good). Then he tried to scare me By saying that I will get into trouble if I don t get her permission was insane. As a licensed realtor, I know the law and I don t need permission to cut tree limbs that hang in my yard; although I did get it as a courtesy. I just dislike dishonest people and would not recommend this company.

SavATree recently did some storm clean up for me. Not only did they clean up the broken tree, they were very professional to the neighbor as they had to use his yard for access. There was no damage from the work and except for a big hollow stump, you would never know they were there. I highly recommend SavATree for any tree work you might need.

I needed some major pruning and a couple trees taken down. I had used 404 before and was happy with their work. Morgan Prince did the initial report. Juan and Jeremy did an excellent job doing all the cutting and trimming......full days work. The next day Eric King was out to do the first application of fertilizing. This company does a fantastic job!!! We had two large trees worked on yesterday and they look wonderful !!! Morgan Prince (Arborist) did a great job in deciding exactly what needed to be done and Juan and ilser did the work - they did a perfect job!! When they left, there was not one tree leaf or twig in sight!!! We would use no other tree company!!

They have removed a large overhanging mulberry tree in my backyard, great service and I dont have to think about anything bad happening--they are ISA certified and reputable company. They are not chuck in a truck Gabrielle was the arborist who handled everything. But what really prompted this review is my most recent experience. Gabrielle called me out of the blue and asked me about an oak tree limb that had fallen and crushed part of my fence and went into my neighbors yard. Its a rental property so I dont go there hardly ever, and the tenant had not reported it to the property manager. So Gabrielle was literally breaking the news to me that a tree was down. I told her that this was news to me, and I would appreciate it she would send pictures. She texted me pictures of the damage and gave me a quote on removal as well as debris removal, trimming, and treatment. Ultimately Ive decided to remove the entire tree, which is currently scheduled (work isnt done yet)--but Gabrielles communication has been outstanding. Lots of moving parts--myself, the neighbor, the property manager, the tenant, and Georgia Power have all had to be involved. And shes been key. So thank you Gabrielle and thank you SavATree!

I have been using 404-Cut-Tree/SavATree for over 10 years. They come out annually to care for the cherry tree in my front yard and monitor the trees in my back yard. This year Morgan noticed that some large pine trees in back were diseased, one with pine beetles. I am so grateful he caught this before they spread to the entire woods. Or one of the trees fell on my house during a storm. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and accessible. He responded to all of my concerns and kept me well informed of their schedule to remove the trees which involved some rain delays. Plus he sent out the most amazing crew. Juan was a super-hero the way he climbed those trees, risking life and limb (literally). See photo. The trees were located in a ravine which required they be cut in to smaller pieces and carried up a steep hill. Sergio, Brandon & Carlos worked tirelessly to get the debris up and out of there. It took incredible strength but somehow they did it without damaging any other trees, my lawn or themselves! As they were wrapping up, I noticed Brandon digging out a rut to put pavers back that they had removed for access. He put them back better than they were before. And they even blew the leaves out of my yard when cleaning up. They went above and beyond. Alpharetta is the city of trees. SavATree follows regulations and their arborists know the proper way to trim a tree, unlike many others. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right and then some.

Each time a tree fell down in our backyard we have used SavATree. All 3 times, Stuart Prince has been on top of the situation from the start. I have had two Magnolia trees in my backyard since 2005 that never bloomed. I would see other Magnolias in the neighborhood with big, beautiful white flowers, but year after year, nothing on mine. I signed up for SavATrees Arbor Kelp and disease treatment and the results have been nothing less than remarkable. I woke up this morning to 10 beautiful white flowers and the trees never looked better. When Eric and Morgan first shared this additional service, I thought it was just another sales pitch. Eric first treated my trees with the Arbor Kelp treatment and told me to wait to see the results BEFORE spending money on additional services. When have you ever heard a company trying to help a customer SAVE money. I added the disease treatment because the Magnolia leaves were brown and drippy. I emailed Morgan and the next day he came by to take a look at them. He not only noticed a disease on the Magnolias but shared that it would be a better financial investment to treat the other trees that were showing similar fungus. The responsiveness and attention to detail from both Morgan and Eric has made me a SavATree customer for as long as I own a home. I highly recommend them for tree trimming and tree care. I needed more light in my backyard - over time the trees and a wall of shrubbery had grown so large that their shade prevented my grass and plants from thriving. Stuart assessed the situation and made recommendations for what should be removed, and what should remain. The crew (Alejandro, Ilser, and Chepe) were prompt, professional, and thorough in their work and the clean-up. I wouldn t hesitate to use them again!

When I read the reviews, I thought they were experienced. But after interacting with the team, it seemed the staff was very inexperienced. Following the estimate, I never got any of the follow up that was promised, which led to me chasing down updates. The rep described the issue was with the city and suggested I call. The city suggested the rep should have known to take better pictures. I was caught in the middle and this dumped in my lap, in the middle of my work day, as if I had nothing else going on... finally escalated to gen mgr and they wanted to charge me for another trip to remove vines to get better picture. Why wasnt that done and known from the start. Have no idea. But the team seemed to be figuring it out as they go, which unfortunately wasted a lot of my time. They didnt seem apologetic either. Thats why I moved on... I guess you can find a way to blame it on covid.

Very disappointed in the service provided. After three reschedules, having a team show-up 4 hours late then finally having a team show up onsite to say we can t do the job because we have to get back in an hour is not professional. When a team finally showed up to the job saying they could cut one additional branch down if I gave them $100 cash is also extremely unprofessional. Their clean up of trees that had been cut was horrendous. For $1k I strongly recommend you keep looking. I expressed my concerns to the manager and arborist but just feel like this how their business is run. Keep looking!

I have been in the lumber and timber business for over 50 years and thought that I had seen it all. But Savatree showed me a new level of expertise. I have never seen such a demonstration of talent and co-ordination. They did everything right from sales to execution. They came in with three men to do the job on a major tree in my back yard. They worked like a fine tuned trio and took the tree down in one working day. We watched with amazement as they worked. The climbing, cutting and dropping of the limbs and logs was safe and effortless. We heard no thuds and everything fell just as it was supposed to. The man on the ground anticipated the climbers every move, the man with the Bobcat knew when and where to be when the branches landed on the ground. He knew exactly how to dispose of them so the process could continue seemlessly. When the stump grinder came in, he worked a remote controlled grinder and knew just the right moves to make to be sure that the mulch landed just where we wanted it. He completed his work and was gone within two hours. They all paid great attention to cleaning up the sight as they went and blew off not only the debris in my yard but that of my neighbor. Set an appointment for a quote 3 weeks in advance. Guy calls me the day of saying he is showing up to the appointment several hours early. He wanted to come anyway. I told him I wouldn t be home, and he did not have permission to access our yard, as the trees are in a fenced yard with our dogs. He showed up early anyway and interrupted my husband who was trying to work from home, ignoring my wishes. I will not support a business who makes me wait 3 weeks for a quote, and then refuses to show up at the scheduled time.

I had some trees that were extending into my neighbors yard so I called SavATree for their help trimming them back. Morgan Price met me at my house a few days after I called and gave me some great advice on the tree I was concerned about and also two other trees that needed attention. He was professional, courteous, and was respectful of my time knowing that I had to go back to work. On the day of service I was truly blown away at the skill of Juan and Carlos as they climbed these tall trees and skillfully brought down some really big branches with my fence underneath and not a single one landed on the fence. In fact, I dont think a single leaf landed in my neighbors yard. I couldnt believe it. I stood there for 90 minutes thinking to myself that this was more fun to watch than TV. The end result left me really pleased with everything. You cant go wrong calling SavATree. Thank you guys!

Very friendly and knowledgeable folks, just be careful you understand what you re signing up for. We got an estimate for an Oak Tree in our backyard that was dropping leaves early in-season. They recommended a kelp infusion and borer treatment (spraying for beatles). I agreed to the kelp infusion and borer treatment but was surprised to get an additional $100+ bill a month later for a second borer treatment I neither knew was coming nor asked for. They just showed up one day unannounced (no knock or email or anything). I didn t even realize they actually came until I checked the Ring camera. The only communication I received was the invoice they emailed that evening. I take responsibility for not more clearly communicating I didn t want monthly treatments; however, had they given me a heads up they were coming for the second treatment or even a knock on the door when they got here, I would ve explained that we now have unexpected childcare expenses due to COVID-19 and need to pause borer treatments. Compared to other service professionals I ve worked with in the past that give a heads up when they re coming, I was disappointed with SavATree s communication and scheduling (including a lack of a response when surfacing these concerns via email) especially juxtaposed with how quickly they send out invoices.

We cant say enough about 404-Cut-Tree/SavATree & their arborist, Stuart Prince & crew. Angel, Lito & Jeff did an AMAZING job. This was the second time we had the company perform work for us. We had two large cypress removed that fell during Zeta & another large cypress overhanging our house. Both spaces were tight & they did an incredible job. Awesome job by Save-A-Tree! Morgan was able to navigate a tricky permitting situation that saved me a lot of $$$ in fees. The crew of Jorge, Milton, and Jesus were fascinating to watch. With constant communication and attention to detail and safety, they were able to take down some really large trees and make it look effortless. Jesus is a magician with the bobcat, Milton way up in the trees just as cool as a cucumber, and Jorge running the show from the ground. It was fun to watch such a well oiled machine work together like that. At the end of the day there was no damage, no mess, and the trees I needed gone were gone. Great job done by all!

Had an onsite quote from Morgan last Monday for the removal of 4 trees on my property. He was able to get me scheduled the very next day which was awesome. Milton, Jorge, and Jesus showed up the next morning, reviewed the work with me, asked me if I had any questions or concerns, and went right to work. By early afternoon the trees were removed and everything was cleaned up. They did an excellent job! Morgan was also quick to answer a few follow up questions I had and provide me with what I needed. Very pleased with the work and would use SavATree (formerly 404 CUT TREE) again in a heartbeat for any future tree removal or lawn care work.

They did a fantastic job! After an initial visit with Dave Kolb, the Arborist, we hired Save-A-Tree to remove a large oak tree that had fallen along with 2 other old fallen trees in our back yard. And also trim the very top parts of another tall oak tree as far as Dave said was still healthy for the tree. MANY back and forth trips with the Bobcat. The crew showed up right on time and got to it. Our job seemed like a production...they laid out a path of about 20 or so plywood sheets to save the grass from Bobcat loader damage across the front and into the backyard. We had good old crew # 7 Jorge, Jesus and Milton. Jorge ran the job. Jesus has the bobcat moves down. We had very tight spaces between newly planted trees/fence posts and none were damaged. Milton climbed all over the very tall oak tree like it was second nature. Very fun to watch these guys work and sing. They all got along great and are good at watching each others backs. A quick loud whistle was the sign for heads up. Also safety conscious..i was too close to the action I guess so Jorge said he was sorry, company policy, and set up some orange cones and back 20 ft I went. Full day job and front yard, driveway and street looked better than when they showed up.

I had a fantastic experience with Savatree. A tree hit my house and we needed emergency removal. They worked amazingly quickly, communicated very well (including calling me promptly on Easter Sunday!) The price was so reasonable my insurance agreed to pay the amount without even looking at their estimate! The arborist was Stuart, and the crew members were Angel and Sergio. My family has used 404CUTTREE in the past and we have always been completely satisfied with their service. It appears that Savatree is going to keep the quality service going. Savatree just spent two full days removing several huge pine trees and other dead diseased or dying trees from my yard. Just had a red maple (acre rubrum per my arborist, Stuart Prince) removed quickly and surprisingly quietly by the crew, Peter and Leto. Jorge, Milton and Jesus did a wonderful job removing 8 dead trees from my property. they got the trees down and moved out with a minimum of collateral damage. My wife and I recently had 404-Cut Tree remove several very large Pine trees and several smaller brush trees. David Kolb came out and assessed the job and provide an honest and accurate estimate of the job. He got a crew to our house within a couple of days and all the work was done very professionally. Alejandro and crew were excellent and put in a full day of work to remove all trees. Even after a very long day they made sure that the entire property was cleaned and returned to its original condition. The logs were removed on the day promised and James who was a magician with the pick up equipment made sure there was no damage to my yard, the curb and the road. Again the cleanup was excellent. Arborist, Stuart Prince is also so good at his job. This is the 3rd time I have used him and he is so honest of which trees are jeopardized. I would not hesitate to use their service again.

Best experience with paid contractors in the recent months. Responses were quick and fast. Stuarts assessment of our trees saved more than a few while others just wanted to cut everything. The crew showed up on time and were very efficient and cleaned up well after themselves.

Their crew is the best out there. They did a thoroughly professional job. When they finished cutting trees, they cleaned up after them and put my fence back as it was. They arranged for Georgia Power to turn the power off (one tree was close to the power line) and turn it back on after they were done. The crew worked around low voltage cables without damaging them. A truck came by the next day and picked up the neatly stacked wood. We were extremely pleased with their work.

This is a very professional company. Morgan, my estimator, was very knowledgeable, polite, friendly, and no nonsense. I kept adding/altering my quote by wavering on either removing a tree or trimming. He was nice enough to come out to my home on 3 occasions. Excellent experience with 404-CUT-TREE! They removed a huge double trunk pecan tree, another tree, and a third tree that had been partially removed. Their estimate was $1000 less than a company I had used previously - a company that was going to take 2 days to remove the pecan tree and use my neighbors driveway as well as mine. 404-CUT-TREE removed the 3 trees in one day, used only my driveway, had much better equipment than the company I used previously, were completely professional, and the clean-up was far superior to the company I used previously. They did not leave a trace of anything and cleaned up the driveway and yard area better than it was when they started! Even though I hope to not have to cut down more trees, if I ever did, I would only call 404-CUT-TREE.

These folks are awesome. They took down a tree right next to my shop and house that was way over 100 tall. They never hit anything other than the ground. It was in an extremely difficult area. It had been hit by lightning and could have broken in any direction. They did an awesome job in removing all the wood and cleaning my property better than it was when they got there. The price was great too. Thats all I have to say but isnt that enough?

Just sharing my 2 cents I called this company to schedule a time to come out, and of course they are booked. However, receptionist ask for my last name and everything but my kids name. When I asked her for her last name she stated she wasn t able to reveal that information. I m confuse ... why is it people that work at companies doing business with the public refuses to give there last name... I thought this is was part of customer service.... Guess Not!!

Ill say that the one shining thing out of my experience was the tree cutting crew that came over were very nice and did a fantastic job. Everything else was amateur hour to say the least. It took 4 and a half months for me to settle my bill. I heard everything from owing WAY more money than I agreed to, to saying we were settled, talking to multiple managers and representatives to finally get billed what I originally agreed to pay. What a nightmare. I would very much like to warn anyone against stump grinding through save-a-tree since they dont seem to have much control on when the people come or what type of job they do. It would be better if you could deal with a stump grinder directly because Save-a-tree seems to just guess as to when the work will be done, the impact and price. Overall, I think 3 stars is a gift, as I sit here having to pay 400$ more, 4 and a half months after the work is done, I cant help but wonder what literally every single competitor would be like. Ill find that out before I use them again. Edit: I would like to comment on the response from Save-a-Tree. I was NOT issued a credit. My bill was changed to reflect the price we agreed on and it took 4.5 months of me hounding Save-a-Tree to fix so it wouldnt be a spot on my credit. Lucky me I suppose.

Our arborist/estimator, David Kolb, was professional and gave me great advice as to what we needed to do clean up the appearance but also better care for the various large trees on our property. The work crew was respectful of our yard and did a fantastic job of the work itself - removing large limbs, thinning limbs and raising the canopy in certain places - as well as perfect cleanup. I would definitely call SavATree again!

On Jan 4 a very large tree fell on my house. Savatree did a tremendous job of cutting down the tree and removing the debris. The project manager, David Kolb, was excellent. From my initial phone conversation with 404 Cut Tree to the completion of the job, my experience was great. Stuart Prince came out to estimate the project and was professional and thorough - providing a lot of valuable information. We had to postpone twice due to rain and I was kept informed every step of the way. During that time, I had several questions. Stuart was always prompt in getting answers back to me. Angel and his crew showed up early on the scheduled day and were highly skilled. They executed all the work carefully and efficiently. They left our yard neat and tidy. Pricing was reasonable - especially considering the quality of the work. We could not be more pleased and will always call on them when we need any type of tree service.

Company gave me an appointment a week later after calling, between 2 and 4. Nobody showed up. When I called first they could not find appointment. When I insisted I had an appointment bet 2and 4. After a brief hold I was told my apt was next day between 9 and 11. A lie. When I told them that was not correct. Again a brief hold then I was told I did have apt between 2 and 4, but the guy who was supposed to come did not show up for work that day. They had all day to assign some body else, or at least let me know that the appointment need to be changed. Which they did not do, on the contrary when I called gave a run around. I do not consider these attributes of good company. I will never do business with such Ill organized company. If they can not come on time to give estimate then how can you rely on them that they will do the work on time once they have the job! Robert Naftel was the rep for my area & he was great. Arrived 5 minutes early, provided really quick & efficient quote to remove debris from Hurricane Irma. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up and left the area spotless, not even a leaf on the ground. I requested to have broken limp cut-off, Robert not only had them do that, they prune the tree & made it look really nice. I keep telling my friends how great this company is. Stuart and his crew are extremely skilled and when I was at home part of the day they were here I was thinking oh what a mess I will have. They totally cleaned up after the work and it was top notch professional job. I fully recommend them. An added bonus is that they are located in Norcross maybe a mile from my house so I was glad to use a local company.

Great & fast service

This is the second time weve used 404-CUT-TREE. They did excellent work both times. On this occasion, we had one specimen maple tree that was damaged in the tropical storm. The company figured out how to remove damaged portions of the tree while saving it, and they did so at reasonable cost. The arborist personally consulted with the cutters on-site before the work began, ensuring the job was done to specification.

Ive done business with CUT TREE twice and both times were quick, easy, and stress-free. The workers were punctual and did the work with dispatch. My yard was cleaner when they left than before they started. I will continue to use them whenever I can.

They set multiple expectations, and then did not meet any of them, other than to show up. Nice crew, good job done, but not done when scheduled to be, nor when it was said it would be done on the day of (, when I called less than one hour prior to their arrival), caused me to be threatened with a civil court suit due to their trespassing on my neighbors property to do their work. (They provided a release form at my request, then started the work without asking for it.) They started work without my go-ahead even though I explicitly asked for telephone notification prior to start of work. They either set or agreed to multiple expectations, and failed to follow-through on each one of them. How did they compensate? They honored a 10% coupon that they were supposed to have honored anyway. Their $570 tree job will now cost me much more, and triple the time. Thanks for the 10%--not!

My experience with 404-cut-tree was great. I got an estimate from 404-cut-tree and from another company, and it was an easy decision to go with 404-cut-tree. Not only did they seem more professional and knowledgeable, but their estimate was lower by a good amount, too. On the day of the job, they showed up promptly and proceeded to do a flawless job. It was actually entertaining to watch the skill and art involved in taking down three large pine trees and disposing of them so quickly.

If you are the neighbor, BEWARE!! They are NOT good stewards and really only about how much money they can get from both the homeowners and their neighbors on the same trees.

404-Cut-Tree did a superb job removing 2 large trees from a heavily wooded area behind my house! They had to cut across my backyard which has sodded grass and landscaping that we have spend lots of money on (my husband was so nervous it would be damaged). The crew took the utmost care laying plywood and carefully maneuvering around with the machinery. We couldnt even tell they had put heavy equipment across it all day! Even my husband commented that the backyard looked cleaner than it did before they started. There was a debris pile that they removed without us asking, and they were very communicative throughout the entire process. We couldnt be happier with 404-Cut-Trees work. We highly recommend them! I never dreamed that a job could have gone this smoothly or looked this great afterwards!

I dont often take the time to write reviews. Typically, you get what you pay for and its unremarkable. Not in this case. I just used 404-CUT-TREE for the second time to remove a very large tree from my front yard. My last experience was extremely positive, so I didnt think twice about calling them for another job. From the time you talk to the polite person on the phone until they drive away from the completed job, every single person is professional, polite, informed and prompt. The quote was very clear and fair. When I asked for a detailed explanation of the work to be done, I was given a response that made sense and I felt the amount quoted was in-line with my personal estimation. Suggestions were also made for additional (small) work that could be done for a negligible amount and I appreciated that input. I agreed to the extra work. I very much appreciated the copy of the insurance certificate and the invitation to research past work. They are so transparent! They also are aware of city permits required and the need to get HOA approvals. They helped me avoid some heavy fines. I received updates via email and phone from the office to let me know what to expect. The guys arrived at exactly the time promised and made what could have been a difficult job look easy. But here is one of the best parts...the clean-up. Frankly, I dont know how they are able to leave the place looking better than they found it! They grind up all of the branches, etc and even rake the yard to get any leftover parts of the tree. That part blew me away. I dont like having to clean up after a job is completed. I have zero clean up today. I could not offer a higher recommendation for 404-CUT-TREE. When you ask someone to make a significant change to the look of your home, you dont want any surprises. Not only did they do what they said they would do, they exceeded my expectations.

We used them for the first time yesterday. They removed two dead trees and cut several branches from huge trees overhanging our house and deck. They accomplished all of it quickly, cleanly, and without damaging the beautiful sprawling hydrangea underneath. The two men were an amazing high wire act to watch as the one swung from tree to tree and the guy on the ground worked in sync with him. They appeared to have great equipment to work with and that certainly helped. Theyre good.

I needed a tree removed and several huge trees pruned, saw their trucks going through the neighborhood gave them a call one of my best finds ever, these people know their business they are professional, they are quick and efficient, they are friendly and the price is right. I know who to call when I need this service again.

We chose 404-Cut Tree because we wanted to save our large and beautiful, but sick, red oak. It is 35 years old and needed all the dead limbs carefully removed so that the new and healthy limbs could grow. The tree crew was careful and cut only the dead wood. They did not use shoe spikes to climb the tree, something they say they do not do. I have learned most companies do and have been told that a living tree should never be spiked. We also had other trees trimmed and a large dead tree removed. They were efficient and timely. They removed every stick left on our yard ! I would surely use this company again and will recommend it to my neighbors.

Terrible customer services. We were not happy with the services and trying to talk to customer services people to resolve it. Instead of finding a solution, the office manager started yelling and threatened to put a lien on the house. Now they are keeping sending me the invoice over and over and even adding on $250 Lien Record Fee. Unbelievable!!!!

Jordan came out and gave me the impression that they could do all of the work with minimum impact. I scheduled the work and the crew showed up on time. Except Jordan didn t show up for another hour and a half. In that time the crew had trimmed much more than Jordan and I discussed leaving 4 oaks looking anemic. They also were pulling debris with their loader through the limbs of our Japanese maple. They also were dropping limbs all over our azaleas and left indentions in our grassy areas (Jordan specifically said they could fall all trunks sections in our pine straw areas). I took a lot of pictures and video of this work. When Jordan finally showed up I showed him the pictures and video. After that we went back outside to go back over the work yet to be done because I did not want them ruining the trees they had yet to trim in the front yard. After our talk Jordan left. The crew proceeded to again cut much more than we had agreed upon. They ruined our beautiful old oak by not only cutting many more limbs than discussed, but by breaking a major limb that they had to also remove. A few months later when the spring bloom was happening we noticed one of the three major trunks of our Japanese Maple was not leafing due to a major fracture in the trunk. I gave 404 2 stars because at least they did not drop any trees on our house. But the job oversight was non-existent and they ruined the look of our house. It will take ten years or more to get that growth back.

Hired 404-CUT-TREE to remove two trees in different parts of our yard. In the front yard, a large pine tree was removed in such a way that you can now barely tell a tree was there. They were very careful not to damage other nearby plants. The tree in the back was in a difficult location between two garages, but they were successful despite the logistical problems. Cleanup was very thorough. Everyone was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. From my standpoint the entire experience was a pleasure. I would definitely use them again.

I was charged 900 dollars to remove a 18 to 22 ft piece of tree that fell from my neighbors yard onto my drive way. The largest part of the trunk was 16 inches in diameter and took the team less than 2 hours to remove. I was told 500 of that was for tree disposal but that was the normal amount of money that insurance would cover. Sadly insurance does not pay 500 dollars for tree disposal and I have been left with the bill. I also found out that I could of had the city pick up the cut up tree for significantly less. Since reviewing other tree cutting services I have found that the 900 dollar removal price was high and I would recommend that you cross shop before you pay for services. Overall I thought that the customer service I received was good and the tree removal was timely but I would not use their services again.

We had 2 large trees removed and 1 trimmed over our roof line. The project required precise coordination with the county, the electric company and our neighbors. Everything from permitting, scheduling to the actual work itself was performed extremely well and we couldnt be more pleased with the result. 404-Cut -Tree was a high integrity outfit....all staff...from the person who answered the phone, to the dispatcher, to the Operations Manager (Brian), to the Arborist, to the tree cutting crew and to the outfit that ground the stumps. I called and got quotes from several but chose 404-Cut Tree for the following reasons: 1) Integrity of all staff, 2) expertise of the Arborist (Stuart Prince), 3) their ability to schedule me in with the stump grinding in the same week, and 4) they also offered stump grinding as some did not. Once the tree cutting crew arrived, I was very impressed with their foreman, Peter. He had a lot of expertise and answered additional questions I had. He also insured that the site was cleaned up very nicely which is important. He did a great job! (I had a medium size dead tree to remove and 2 invasive trees to remove). He also arrived on time and finished on time. The office staff also followed up too. I was also impressed with the Stump Grinding Expert. I was not sure his machine like tractor would fit through my gate but he drove it through with precision with only 1/8 of clearance on either side. That was amazing! He too answered my questions and had a lot of expertise. He arrived on time and left on time. He also cleaned up the site as well. My intent was to re-plant some replacement trees. They were able to advise me on that as well. Very helpful! Over all I would rate them AAA+! GREAT JOB! I was well pleased! Highly recommended! (I will use them again).

404-Cut-Tree took down a dead, gigantic pine tree. It had been dead so long it was rotted and dangerous to climb. It was very close to house. They agreed to do the job when other companies refused due to the difficulty. They did a beautiful job without damaging anything surrounding the tree and hauled off all the debris.

We had a great experience with 404-CUT-TREE. We had a tree split and fall the Sunday after Christmas with a 5 day old infant at home. It was an emergency to get the other half of the tree down before it fell on the house. We contacted 404-CUT-TREE and they had a crew at our house within 2 hours. The crew leader Jordan was very professional and explained exactly what needed to be done in order to make the tree safe. They completed the emergency work that day and came back two days later to finish the job. I cant say enough about how helpful and professional the whole team was. We will be using this company for all our future tree needs.
