After being jerked around by a couple of other outfits was fortunate to hook up with A&S about excavating, filling and installing drainage for a large sink hole. Sam came to take a look at our project the same day. Got us quote the next day and gave us a date they could start. We needed a few days to review and that was no problem. When we gave them the go ahead they gave us a new start date, then they had an opening and could start earlier. It was a pleasure doing business with them. What a Very Pleasant Experience!!! Called A & S on Thursday last week. We had two trees removed and needed soil replaced and lawn to be seeded. First surprise was when Sam actually answered his phone! No answering machine and attendant maze to deal with. He arrived early Friday morning to prepare an estimate. Saturday afternoon he emailed the estimate and figured a crew would be available this Friday. Yesterday (Tuesday) Sam called and, based on the weather forecast for Friday asked if we were available this morning and at 9 AM the crew was here and by 10:30 AM the topsoil and grass seed and straw were spread, and the crew had cleaned up the driveway and the street in front of the house. The payment process was simple and we couldnt be happier with A & S!! Look forward to working with Sam and A & S again in the future.

We had a drainage issue that lead to standing water in our back yard. In addition, the water drained across our stone patio leaving it wet and dirty. We researched and reached out to contractors, Sam was only one that called back. He came out and quoted promptly, and gave us a start date. Sam designed a drainage system targetting the source or water..downspot.. yard drainage, and a French drain around the paver patio. In addition we added a river rock bed around the paver deck to enhance the finished look. The job was started the week that was quoted and completed quickly and thoroughly. Let me preface this review by mentioning that, like many homeowners, my wife and I have had more than our share of less than favorable experiences with people hired to work on/around our home. We were interested in replacing a walkway/sidewalk and multiple mulch beds in the front of our home. Due to the aforementioned experiences, we were hesitant to reach out for quotes. I spoke with several companies. I received a call from Sam at A&S, I believe it was a Friday. He took my information and said he would reach out either Tuesday or Wednesday the next week. This is no surprise to him, because I told him this exact thing today. I figured I would never hear back. Well, I heard from him that Tuesday, just as he said. He came and met me PROMPTLY at the time we agreed upon. He listened to my ideas, and actually suggested a more economical option and would get a proposal over either that night, or early the next day. As promised, by 7:30 a.m., I received said proposal. Are you seeing a theme here? When he said something, he delivered!! That is all anyone can ask for. We obviously went with Sam and A&S. I will tell anyone listening, as I told him, his company single handedly restored our faith. His knowledge, transparency, and honesty is refreshing in today s world. I have many other future potential projects, and honestly, I wouldn t consider anyone else at this point. We wouldn t change a thing. From start to finish, from Sam to his hardworking, respectful employees, who, by the way, went way above and beyond to ensure an immaculate clean-up, until the final handshake was an impeccable experience. What can I say ? This company is the best ! I used them for a long-standing (no pun intended) drainage problem on my property. From the very beginning, Sam (one of the owners) responded quickly, I sent some pics, and he came out to analyze the problem. He clearly knows what he is doing and came up with a very viable cost-effective solution. This was followed by an estimate that was fair and resonable for the work intended. The work was scheduled in a timely fashion. Again the staff who worked on my property were professional at all stages. Of course in this line of work follow-up is important, Sam realizes this, and accomodated my requests. Again, thoroughly professional and at no exta cost. I cant imagine a better experience with the contractors in this area. Unfortunately, little imagination is needed to imagine much worse. I strongly recommend this company for its drainage work. PS they pressure washed my entire driveway and walkway, seeded the areas they mulched, and did other improvements to the property.

They communicated super well, showed up on-time, the day they said they would, did the job, and got out before lunch. The work looks good and professional. Worked with my neighbor for access and was all around a good pick for this job. I asked them to add a couple caveats in the contract and use a certain flashing and they did with a very reasonable upcharge. I highly recommend A&S for French drain work.

Our yard was a mess from tree work, stump grinding and poor maintenance. I called and spoke with Sam who promptly provided me with a quote. He was very flexible with the price and was reassuring of the quality of the work. Due to the weather, it was tough getting this even started. That falls squarely on the weather and its what we get for trying to do this as snow is starting to fly. As soon as we had a nice day, Sam and his team was here and went right to work. He went above and beyond my expectations and the quoted work. Much of the stump grinding was done poorly or not at all so Sam spent some additional time digging out some wild roots/stumps at no additional cost. His team was very nice, respectful and prompt in their work. I am very happy with the work done and would highly recommend working with Sam to anyone. We will likely be calling on Sam again to assist with future projects. Overall we are very excited to welcome in spring with a clean, level yard primed to grow grass and be a space for our family!

I got a consultation with Sam, who was super friendly and knowledgeable. The consult regarded a drainage problem at my home. I really appreciated the insight he had to offer on possible solutions and what work would be involved. The only reason I couldn t give 5 stars is because I didn t move forward with work from A&S, not because of any problem but because the work didn t make sense to do at this time. I recently contacted A&S for a quote on filling in the joints of our patio. We had done this ourselves in the past but did not like the outcome as the material we used was very messy and left a residue of sand. Instead of taking the job and our money, A&S talked me through the right material to get, where to get it and the right process of completing the project ourselves. I contacted Sam not knowing what needed to be done for an ongoing problem with a lack of backyard water drainage. He was prompt to respond and very knowledgeable. Upon inspection of the yard he was able to offer a solution by installing French drains. The work was done without a problem. Sam and partner Alex, along with their staff worked very hard. There was a lot of digging and a lot of clay. Drainage pipes were installed below ground. They were kind enough to install temporary fencing around their work (waiting for clay to dry out) so my dog could go out in the yard. Finally, the yard was put back together with topsoil and seeding. Looking forward to a dry back yard. Excellent work! I highly recommend!

This small patio once held a hot tub and was left with a trench down the middle from the electrical conduit when the tub was removed. Sam & his crew did a great job filling it in with a decorative inlay. (The after photo shows the patio with pavers done, but before polymeric sand was added.) We had them come this year to repair the area where our asphalt driveway meets a paver-block driveway by installing a decorative paver border. Also excellent work and service. After heavy rain, we would have a large area of standing water in our backyard that needed to be drained. We decided that while the yard was to be dug up, we would replace a crumbling brick walk also. Sam was very accommodating to our needs and responsive to our questions. Sam told me to give him a call to let him know that I was on my way and hed meet me at his shop and hed help me out. I pulled up and there he was, in his truck, just back from a job. The quality of the sod he helped me load to my truck was amazing and what a great deal! He said they could help me install it but my DIY mentality took it from there. My experience with Sam and his company was very positive. They arrived when expected with three installers that worked very hard both days despite not having the greatest weather. They followed directions, reworked an area when requested and cleaned up the area promptly. they were friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend them for your landscaping needs.

I was having drainage issues in my yard and immediately I was given a plan and reasonable estimate. The communication was always 100% and the job was scheduled in a timely manner. The work was done quickly and efficiently and the crew cleaned up and left everything looking fantastic. I highly recommend this company for your drainage needs. Sam of A&S is the most helpful, understanding, and responsive person. He knew how difficult it was for me rebuilding my home after a total loss fire and with his help we came up with the most amazing entrance way. Sam was great.. amazing his skillls with machinery, mainly the skid steer, it was as if it was an extension of his own body .. he created drainage, leveled an area that was once really wet .. and finished by grading about 3/4 of an acre with sandy lome.. next is grass seed.. would highly recommend his services Lewis Positive

Sam and Alex were very accommodating to our unique situation. Their work is going to divert storm water away from the house during heavy rains, and allow us to address repairs to the foundation. We look forward to having A&S back at the end of this project for additional drainage they recommend.

A&S is a relatively new company that provides quality craftsmanship and phenomenal customer service. I really hope they take off in this area. My wife and I had a patio and retaining wall installed last summer. Sam, Alex and their team were receptive to all of our criteria and feedback during the process and the final product is just incredible today. We re very happy with the work they ve done and will likely be contracting them for future projects!
