We had a beautiful olive tree along our property frontage in Solvang that was struggling & started to see several branches wither & turn brown. Although this was a very small work for arborist or tree service firms, Paradise Tree service guys came out right away & provided initial recommendations to turn few of the drip irrigation to it off to start. It took some back & forth to have them come back out later to trim the tree of withered branches to see how it reacts. Initially, we did not see much improvement, but over time the reduction of irrigation & proper trimming of the tree has stabilized the tree. Now we still have three beautiful matching olive trees along our front yard & do not have to consider planting a new tree. We are looking to have Paradise Tree guys come back out to do additional work on our property. I also appreciate the new customer discount they have along with cash payment option that further reduces final payment.

They were very polite, showed up when they said they would. While trimming our tree they watched the shaping and made deliberate cuts, while discussing it among themselves. The two who climbed the tree used all the proper safety equipment; they did not take any shortcuts. They are licensed. I read all the great reviews about Paradise Tree Service so I called them. An appointment was set up to give me an estimate for trimming my tree. The appointment was on Tuesday at 4 pm but no one showed up. I called at 4:45 pm and spoke with Logan. He said he would check to see why no one showed up. He apologized, which I appreciate. I was expecting a call back to reschedule. But, here it is Thursday morning and Ive not heard back from anyone. Its pretty disappointing after reading such good reviews. Im a pretty reasonable person. Both my parents were self employed and I know somedays dont go as expected. But, communicating with a potential client is important. Ive already called another licensed company, they showed up on time, gave me an estimate and Ive hired them instead.

Listened carefully and really understood my goals (this was a big job on a steep hillside with difficult access.). They turned my big, dense oak trees into a work of art. Removed 2 trees, trimmed back several large shrubs and, having to exit through my garden, removed all the debris without damaging any plants. Really exceeded my expectations. Paradise Tree came a did a significant trim on a large Cyprus tree in our front yard. They had to balance the tree out due to the other side being trimmed improperly and they did a fantastic job! Paradise Tree Service cut our very high ficus and bamboo hedges in a very narrow space that didn t allow for anything but ladders. Dangerous and difficult work. We hired Paradise Tree Service to remove a large tree from our property and clear the deadwood from several others as well as some weed abatement along a creek bank. The tree to be removed was on our property line with some overhanging our neighbor s property. Paradise removed the tree without any disturbance to our neighbor or their property. Paradise Tree Service sent a Stellar crew out to remove a 75 ft oak on a narrow side yard that grew literally inches from my house. They came out with 1 day notice and had it done by 4 o clock same day. I highly recommend them and salute that crew specifically!

In February 2024, the weather forecast called for high wind and heavy rain for several days. I called to get a quote. It was reasonable for the amount of work involved to reduce and trim my trees. They were available before the storm and the friendly staff completed the work to my satisfaction. My trees survived the storm with no damage.

We had 8 mature pine trees and 3 small pines trimmed and shaped, and had them bring down a large 9th tree that was causing problems for our neighbor. The crews were prompt, courteous, and very skilled (quite a sight to watch them drop a 40 some foot pine into a limited space). We couldnt be happier with the results. 24 mph on a 55 mph road with 10 cars piled behind these guys trucks and they would not pull over (which is the law) to let the traffic by. Totally rude and unprofessional.

Did a great job cleaning up my palm trees. They are way too tall for my gardener to take care of and Paradise had the right experience, skills and equipment to do the job safely and for a reasonable price.

During the storms we had this past winter, one of my trees fell over blocking both cars in the driveway. I called the tree service at 7 am and they were at my home at 7:10 am. The tree was chopped up and moved within an hour. Granted, they were in the area when I called , but that was service! The price was affordable as well.

I first came across their work as they were trimming my neighbor s oak tree - they made sure that any trimming they did on my side of the fence was neat and clean. Of course I asked them for an estimate to trim a tree in my yard / actually I wanted to remove it - but my back neighbor was a bird watcher and begged me to keep it - ughhh so the crew of Paradise Tree Service trimmed it up nice and neat so I wouldn t have to worry about it for a while. A few months later - they were working at the house behind mine / the bird watchers had moved / and I was able to have that nasty tree removed while they were in the neighborhood . They are very accommodating, professional , neat as a pin, and the guys are so polite! They are a pleasure to have around! Five guys, two or three trucks. On time. Very pleasant, very focused on the job. Neighbor had one tree removed and the others trimmed. I had a huge curly willow removed and the stump ground. They left the area clean as a whistle and got the work done in short order.

They had a large crew come in and do the job and left the grounds clean.

Paradise Tree Service took down 2 Mexican fan palms, the tallest being about 40 ft, in a very tight space. Lots of cars and houses very close. It was impressive.

Wanted our palm trees cleaned up. Called Raymond, he came out shortly after our call and provided an estimate that afternoon. We scheduled the crew for 2 days later and they knocked it out in short order with 2 crews, in addition to cleaning our palm trees up, they shaped/trimmed our magnolia, ground a couple of stumps and trimmed back a few other trees on the property. The place looks much better! I would highly recommend Paradise Tree Service.

I contacted Paradise Tree Service because we needed a very large diseased pine tree removed. Also we needed many of our oak trees trimmed. Logan was able to meet with me within the hour. We talked over the trees and he went over everything with me and explained what they would be doing. He gave me a good bid and they were able to begin the job within a couple of days. Gil came out with his crew and explained the job to them and verified with me what the job entailed. He came back while they were working and checked on the progress and made sure I was happy with how things were going. And he came back after the work was completed and did a walk through with me to make sure the work had been done properly. It all went smoothly and the four man crew worked hard and did a great job. The pine tree removal was seamless and our oak trees have never looked so good after the trimming. I m glad I contacted Paradise Tree Service and will call them again for any other tree services.

This company is not repeatable. Quoted one price and never made three scheduled appointments, no call no show. Logan and Raymond do not care about customer service or standing by their quoted price. After several calls to follow up, their answer to not showing up was to inflate their bid two plus times what was quoted. True bait and switch company. I would look for another tree service company other than this company. I am sure I am not the only one that has received this kind of service.

The men showed up on time and were extremely polite. They worked very efficiently and cut down an older plum tree. One of the fellows wanted to replant a 2-year-old Olive tree so they dug it up. Our friend referred us to this company. They came out for a free quote and had time to take care of it that same day. Affordable and quick, they did 4 palm trees in an hour. They look great and one of the workers even moved a small lawn ornament so it wouldnt break. We will be using this company again next time around!

When my homeowner s insurance gave me only a short time to prune mature trees or they would cancel my policy Logan and his crew were on the spot. He recognized disease in two of the trees, saving by me money with removal now, rather than extensive pruning and removal in another two years when the disease would require it. The guys at Paradise Trees were very responsive my phone call was answered immediately and within a few hours I was walking through my yard with one of the guys assessing what needed to be done. We were very pleased with Paradise Tree Service. We had them do several things: Thin out and clean up many eucalyptus trees, remove 6 large manzanita bushes, and trim our olive and palm trees. They had a mechanical issue with their stump grinder, so the came back a few days later to complete the job. Their price was very competitive and the workers were friendly and efficient. I called Paradise Tree Service to describe my dilemma of having a VERY large California Oak (+40 feet) in small front yard of the home we purchased. Within a few hours Gil visited for visual inspection and assessment. As an licensed/certified arborist, Gil proceeded to describe the best solution & best practices to keep the tree healthy, aesthetic and safe to the surrounding structures, driveway, sidewalk etc. An appointment to do the work was for a week out from the date of inspection. A day after inspection Gil called to advise the team could come by to do the work later that morning. A team of 3 very experienced workers arrived with a boom truck and truck & shredder. They worked methodically for several hours pruning & thinning all aspects of the tree; definitely a blend of hard work, science and art. Final result was perfect. The worksite was completely cleared of debris. The guys even cut-up a branch for me to season for a future BBQ (only one branch of medium size was removed). Seems nearly every day we have neighbors commenting how nice the tree looks. Congrats to the Paradise team. BTW, the work wasnt cheap but seemed reasonable. A lot of labor, equipment & expertise; it was worth it to get the big oak under control.

Merry Christmas to us!! Thank you Gil , Rick and crew. On Saturday, 12/10/22 the rain and wind storm uprooted one of our 10 - 120 foot pine trees. It fell parallel within a few feet of our house and shop and we had 9 more on the verge of falling. We were lucky no one was killed. One call to Paradise Trees and Gil immediately surveyed our situation which was grim and that very day his crew started felling our trees. Every morning the crew arrived on time. Every evening our street and area was swept and tidy. WHO DOES THAT?!? 4 days of hard work, done. We were blown away by the professional job and we would highly recommend them and will use them again. The equipment that they have available is unbelievable. We felt the price was very fair as well. Following these terrible storms January 2023 our large pine tree started uprooting and leaning towards our house. Gil and team came same day I called and removed the tree next day. They cleaned every inch up better than it was when they got there! They arrived right on time, were extremely professional. I will hire them again for routine tree care very soon!

I had a very large Maple tree that had suffered from drought and had several dead branches. Josephs crew from Paradise showed up right on time and set up for removal quickly. Very efficient crew. Impressed with their professionalism and ability to work together as a team. I was very pleased that no damage was incurred to fencing or buildings. They left the area clean. I would highly recommend Paradise Tree Service to anyone looking for dependable and reasonable expence to take care of any kind of tree service. I was very pleased with their work.

We had them remove 2 trunks between the sidewalk and the curb. the area was filled with a spider web of large roots. After the job was finished, we found additional roots in the area. They not only returned and removed them but we had 3 large rocks in our front planter and they removed then and took them away. We are very happy with their personnel and their service.

John who cut down my 30 ft. willow tree is very good at his job and would ask for him if you want the best.Thank you to the whole crew for your hard work.

Edited to a 4 star because they missed a tree we had discussed and I called to see if they would come get it when they were in the area and I was gladly told yes that day- and then they never came for it. *original post* Had a great experience with this company when they came and trimmed our oak trees back. They gave me a same day bid. They were fast and efficient and left our areas where they trimmed nice and clean. Team was professional and friendly. *also edited to add that they said they would give us a discount if we scheduled for next day because they didn t have any work the next day- they came later than expected and left earlier than expected because of 2 other jobs they had. Hind sight left me feeling like I got played, but definitely doesn t change that the service they provided was great. Just a few afterthoughts.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Gil gave us a more than fair estimate to remove 16 large trees from our backyard. The Paradise crew were very careful not to damage anything on our property and thoroughly cleaned up. Gil then got us a great deal on 12 Queen Palms and professionally planted them. The Paradise tree crew were timely, professional and did an amazing job. I give them my highest recommendation.

I found Gill to be unprofessional as he refused to honor the 10% off coupon for the job he and his crew performed. Mind that we were already paying nearly 10,000 dollars. Our Gardeners had to come in and clean out our gardens. There was no attention to detail and Gill tried to argue with me about the coupon. Would NOT recommend! !

Used them to remove 4 trees on our property including several on upper portion behind retaining walls. Other companies refused to grind the stumps but Paradise said they could grind them down. Raymond showed up with a crew of 4 when he said he would and got right to work. They started at 8:30 and by 9:30 the trees were down and chipped. By noon they had all stumps ground down, everything cleaned up, and even took out a few brushes when we asked. Very happy with their efforts and with the end result. Would absolutely use them again.

Rick has good intentions, but leaving 6 guys for a couple of days without supervision was costly. First job, they pruned more aggressively than quoted, so I owed more money. Second chance, they failed to remove dead wood, ignored limbs (prune so I can pass underneath with riding mower), I have had dead wood blowing down all winter, landing on my vinyl fence in back. One limb is currently brushing the ground. New company working now, much better result. When I called to report a major missed limb, Rick sent someone by the next day to cut it, but he had no desire to haul it off. New guys will be removing it today. Not a happy experience, and I gave them two shots....if you have a small job, they might work out for you, but they were pricier. Sometimes paying more doesnt get more...

All of the workers did a fantastic job. David, the supervisor, was attentive and helpful. I had an overgrown tree with a big canopy, and they worked to take it down and then cleaned the messy area afterwards. I was very satisfied with the service and detailed work.

The initial contact was great. But I never heard from them after that. Reached out 4/5 different times not even a response Not professional at all & I do not recommend this service.

Amazing service! Rick is kind and polite as well as all the employees! Everyone worked quickly and left everything cleaned up as much as possible. Rick really worked with us and our neighbor and went over and above! His pricing was very very fair and safety was a priority. This year, we had the neighbor s cypress trees trimmed over our fence line. Will definitely call Paradise again, next year, to trim/maintain the trees on our own property.

I was fortunate to experience Paradise Tree Services work while they worked on my neighbors property... While they were there, the crew kindly trimmed the portion of my neighbors tree that was overhanging onto my property. As a result of their great work next door, I asked for an estimate to have a tree taken care of in my own yard... Their price quote was fair and their crew was on site when promised! Not only did Rick have his crew trim my unruly tree - but they also trimmed and fed my assorted fruit trees and trimmed back a few out of control bushes. They really went above and beyond - and will now always be my tree-guys. Sending a big thank you to Rick Centner and the great crew members that took care of my yard! You guys rock!

We used the internet to request bids. We got calls back within minutes. Had bids by the next morning. They beat out all competition. Started the job that day and finished the next by noon. Whole process took less than a day. Thanks Rick and Manuel. Great price, great, and very quick work.

I have a backyard full of queen palms to tall for me to trim. Ive had other trimmers cut them in the past, but wasnt really impressed. Paradise came out and trimmed the same palms and they ended up looking like a million bucks. They did an outstanding job trimming them. Not only that, they were very good about cleaning up, and they avoided any significant damage to the underlying plants. They werent necessarily any cheaper than the other trimmers, but the work they did was far more impressive. I highly recommend them.

Recently I hired Paradise Tree Service to trim my treasured maple tree and numerous other trees that were quite overgrown. The workers arrived on time, went right to work, and finished late afternoon. They chipped all the branches and hauled them away. Also using the blowers they cleaned everything. The cost was considerably less than another quote I had received, and I couldnt be any more happy with the great work completed.

Rick, the owner of Paradise Tree Service, responded to my phone call last week heard what I needed I had been in an auto wreck and could not leave home, but he made everything easy for me. He visited the house to see the trees to bid on them. He interacted with the neighbors and the property manager to make everything go smoothly. He took care of the two trees of concern, then phoned with great (I mean GREAT) bids on the remaining needful trees in the yard, I could hardly say no, it was SUCH a great deal. Rick is a caring person, something we see all too rarely in our business lives these days. He absolutely did right by me, and the neighbors were so excited, they intend to use him.
