Aeration and seeding was performed last Friday. Sections of the lawn were left with large holes. It looked like a dog had been digging up the lawn. Ive used trugreen for years at this property, and have never experienced anything close. I contacted customer service; the rep stated this is completely normal and allows for deeper penetration of the seeds. Unfortunately, most of the holes do not contain seeds. She refused to have someone come back and look ar what had been done. Terrible lawn service; unacceptable customer service.

Today is our very first treatment with trugreen. The technician was very professional , pleasant and answered all of my questions. This is our 3rd treatment and our grass looks so healthy. Terrell was our technician and was very knowledgeable about some questions we had regarding our lawn. He took the time and answered them. I didn t feel he was rushing us to get to his next appointment. So far we have had nothing but positive results

When im unhappy with the service i complain Today I was satisfied with the service I received and I want to compliment JamesThomas on his professionalism and good work. I was able to track him this morning from my phone for about an hour before he arrived at my home. He made several stops and it looked like he was doing his job. When he arrived he told me what service he was performing and explained what should happen the next 2 visits. He also wrote me a note telling me how much he enjoyed talking with me and told me what I needed to do to help the fertilizer be more effective. He also itemized what he saw was wrong with my lawn. I received a FREE treatment today for weed control, When I reviewed the invoice, it stated the application was fertilizer and not a weed control.

Hello I am writing this review because of my experience with TruGreen. After 4 years with TruGreen my yard looks horrible, this has been an on going thing with this company. Every year since I hired TruGreen to treat my lawn Ive had problems with how my lawn looks and when I called and wanted to cancel my service I would always talk to a customer service person or a manager who begged me and promised to get things right with my lawn every time. Now 4 years later, my lawn still looks horrible. Prior to them treating my lawn it looked great. My intentions were to let this go and find someone else to take care of my lawn, but not before I let them know once again how I feel about their horrible service. So if your planning on getting Trugreen to treat your lawn, make sure you dont lose a lot of money dealing with this company.

The tech was nice but my yard is a field of dandelions. I dont know what is being used to kill the weeds or if the techs are knowledgeable on lawn care. We have had TruGreen Lawn Care at another house for over fifteen years and our l technician keeps us updated on each phase of care.

Some lawn improvement, moderate weed control. I paused my account and told them to not perform any more services until further notice. They agreed. They just performed another service and charged me one month later Nearly impossible to cancel, and they force you to do it over the phone. PLEASE cancel my account.

I could see through my ring camera that the tru-green tech did a good thorough job. I ve been with them for one year now and I truly see the change in my lawn. It s looking healthy and less weeds because of the weed control tru-green sprays.

This is how my yard looks after about $1200.00 and about a year service from TrueGreen Lawn Care Service and they refuse to fix it. They offer a free aeration and seeding in the fall. Meanwhile we would have to pay for services.

I recently reached out in regards to lawn services that I needed. I found out same day that they did not provide the services that I requested. This was a few days ago. Today, (I don t know the persons name, but he has a 904 area code) called me regarding the services again. He stated that I had called their corporate office and that they may have better pricing locally. I told him that I wasn t sure if they would be able to do my services because of what I was previously told. The phone call then abruptly ended. I was under the assumption that the call had gotten disconnected. I called back two separate times, and they both went to voicemail after one ring. I left a voicemail stating that I believed that we were disconnected, and that they could give me a call back. A few seconds later, he calls me back, and sounds confused, as if we hadn t just spoken five minutes prior. I told him that I think we got disconnected and he said that he didn t know who I was. I refreshed his memory and let him know what the scenario was. He stated that he thought that I had hung up on him, even though I tried calling back multiple times. He then said that they do not provide the service and that he has other calls to make if I didn t have anything else . Although I did not receive any services from you all, I would like to remind you that you called me, and then proceeded to provide horrible customer service. I will know not to use you in the future should I need lawn care services.

We like the fact that we are always notified of when we can expect each service. The written summary of each service is immediate and very helpful, and the opportunity to walk outside and ask any questions we may have is most appreciated!

Second time customer. First time was a bit bumpy and ended in 2020. This go-around was terrible. Communication on scheduling and executing a sensible treatment plan appeared an impossibility. Too much is left managed on a regional level. Much confusion between old home address and current address. I will go elswhere or do it myself

Great service... If I was a customer! Hassan did a great job on our yard today which is impressive for a service I didnt pay for. The information sheet left on my door (which again came as a surprise since Im not a TruGreen customer) was very helpful and informative. While I was very satisfied with the service today, I imagine I would be upset if I were the one who paid for service that was done at the wrong house. So overall, 5 stars, I would just suggest working on going to the correct house next time!

Very professional and knowledgable. In order to for the process to work, a homeowner has to stay the course; you will not see it over night but within a few years depending on your soil you should see the results.

I have spent years trying to get my lawn to have fewer weeds and thinker, but it didn t happen. I signed up last Fall and with just a few applications my lawn looks like I dreamed it would look. So happy with lawn.

Techs were great and so was the service

We contracted Tru Green for the season. After three treatments and absolutely zero results, we realized today that the wrong area of our lawn was being treated. We have called several times, being put on hold for 20-30 minutes each time, transferred around to folks that know nothing about lawn maintenance, and never connected to a local branch. Our lawn is zoysia grass and not a single person we spoke with knew what that was! We finally asked for our services to be cancelled and a refund for our contract. We were not refunded in full nor contacted by anyone local. Disappointed is an understatement. We HIGHLY recommend finding a local business for lawn care needs.

I talked with Tevin very knowledgeable and patient he took his time answered my questions and took care of my lawn. Very professional!

Everything has been excellent so far!

TruGreen has not performed the services stated on their invoices. I requested entire yard treatment, they only serviced my front yard. Invoice stated they performed 5800sq Ft. They corrected this with a respray. Today they invoiced me for 69lbs of lime treatment, when I came home I did not get the service they stated. As a customer, I don t have time to call the 800 number and talk to incompetent call center. I have requested my services me terminated immediately. Steer clear unless you can be home to monitor them performing these services.

So far, the TruGreen service program has exceeded my expectations. I especially like that I am kept informed of forthcoming scheduled services, and its a plus that I am able to actually track my service technicians journey from start to finish of my lawn services.Of the several comparative service providers I explored, TruGreen excelled in quality of service, and their customer services.

The technician was fantastic!

If I could give a zero stars I would.. this is what it looks like after 3 months. Missed appointments, reschedules and cancels. Haven t seen Trugreen in two weeks right now when I call their customer service, they are rude to the point of angering a customer. It took weeks to get someone who sounded like they cared. But they still managed to mess up the scheduled visit dates. Waiting for someone to reach out to me, wish me luck! Update: No solution. Grass is still brown and Trugreen does not stand by their guarantee.

Wayne was very nice and listened to all of my questions and complaints and was so helpful I greatly appreciated him! When my service was completed I felt much better and felt encouraged to continue moving forward and Tru Green also agreed to go a few steps extra to make me feel better when Wayne took the steps to call his manager. He is wonderful and I highly recommend his service especially communication skills, excellent customer service!

I cant believe I even have to write this. My spouse was driving home from work when a Trugreen Employee driving with a SUSPENDED LICENSE STRUCK MY VEHICLE AND TOTALED IT. That day the manager came out and was very apologetic and said they would take care of everything. It has been 3 months and they refuse to even respond to me or my insurance so that we can settle this and move on. I lost my vehicle luckily my spouse was uninjured. This is despicable behavior and Ive had it after dealing with this for so long with no resolution. Do the right thing!

Used tg a while back and the guy that came out couldnt spell the word lawn. Recently Filled out application for mainly fall services only. Needed someone to aerate lay soil and overseed . Got automated texts and calls 5 times a day until I agreed to take a call. When they called it was still a bot and put me on hold for a few minutes. I would have much rather spoken to the bot. The person taking the info couldnt pronounce aeration and kept trying to checdule my fall services for end of December. While only really trying to force the 2k dollar service. When I said I wasnt going. To go with the long term service the rep just hung up on me. Dont waste your time.

Overall this company did a satisfactory job. My only issue was when I tried to call their customer service to complain about an unsatisfactory aerator job (they tried to aerate the day after getting 4 of rain and temperatures in the 90 s). I had to call several times and did not receive a call back for several days after the issue came up. It was impossible to speak directly with a supervisor for a number of days.

Tech didn t treat my side yard. I have exterior cameras and I could see the tech walking on my sidewalk instead of treating the grass. Follow up: TruGreen did come back out to my house the following week to treat the area the tech missed.

Endured ugly weather and quietly went about his business.

It is a five star company .. but even they have a few slackers !Last years aerate and seeding was first Class, this year first off I was challenged by the technician that there was more area than the ticket called for. I saw him call in to check and then started the process without another word. They ran over the areas with the aerator and the seeder very quickly, doing what I considered a very sparse job, not at all like last years. We will see what the results are! They then left leaving a ticket at the door. Perhaps a little sensitivity training would be in order.

For the fees they charged, the results were disappointing. I went a local company that charges less with better results.

Specialist Robert Nichols did a thorough job and left some suggestions for me to follow up on. Very happy so far.

We have seen the results to our lawn and garden from the weed treatments, to the protection against bug treatments on our bushes. The mosquito defense treatment seems to do nothing in fight against mosquito. I asked the technicians to lightly spray the front of the house, but focus more on the back of the property as we back up to the woods, and they still generally only walk around our house in 5 minutes and are done. We have hired other mosquito defense exterminators before and know that a better job is achievable. We will continue to use TruGreen for our lawn, but will utilize the experts for our mosquito issue.

I do not support businesses that have their employees go door-to-door to make sales. It is an outdated model that is disrespectful to your prospective clients that may work from home, have pets, or work non-standard hours.

Some of their lawn service techs are very unprofessional. They show up early, sit in their trucks and leave without doing anything. To make matters worse, my lawn tech actually submitted a service ticket claiming he completed the work. Don t use Travonne H., because he s recorded doing this to me. Please keep a watchful eye on your services to ensure you re paying for completed jobs.. I attempted to contact the local company to complain, which by the way is impossible. Contacting anyone at Trugreen is frustrating because you speak to a different customer service rep each time you call no matter what number you dial, local or otherwise. As long as things go smoothly, all s well, but as soon as there s an issue, good luck on getting assistance. It s been a week since the tech showed up and did nothing. I have not spoken with Trugreen yet, even after numerous emails, phone calls, and messages requesting they contact me because I can t contact them. Additionally, there certainly wasn t a delay in billing me for this fake service. I had to insist that the invoice be voided. As of today, my account with Trugreen will be cancelled. I ll do it myself. Plus, I won t have to worry about the risks of chemical exposure each time I mow my lawn. It ll be a lot cheaper too. Trugreen s slow response makes me think they don t view this as a serious matter that needs addressing as quickly as possible. Maybe it s standard practice or business as usual. This company can t be trusted.

Sprayed for nut grass and red thread.

They charged me for services the tech did not do. My camera footage shows the guy sit in his truck then walk up to my door and leave a service ticket then proceeds to drive off. This happened twice. One time I actually was on the phone with TruGreen while he did it. Not okay! Very hard to cancel service would not recommend!

The staff was very attentive to my concerns & questions.

Im a long-time customer who cancelled after being billed for a service that never took place. I escalated it to corporate. The woman I spoke with told me they miss her own lawn sometimes! Not a good business model.

I paid to have my entire yard treated for weeds, they would only come out to treat the front. I called 3x about it and third time they didn t treat the back I called to canceled. The lady lied and said my account was canceled and we would give you a free service to make up for that incident. I told her I still want my service canceled and she said it was. A month later I m being charged and the new rep said we see you called to cancel but they never canceled it. They finally canceled my services but won t give me my money back. She said by agreeing to the free service was an agreement to keep my services smh. They won t give me my money back after I already canceled the first. They don t care and they won t treat you with respect after you are already a customer.

They wil come back and rectify any issue -wish the same person would treat the yard so he/she would know the problem areas

The technician did a Fantastic Job but TruGreen s administration is so poor! I was told my service would be free because the first service was not effective. The next day after the treatment I was charged FULL PRICE for the mosquito treatment!

I used TruGreen for a whole year. In that time they got rid of one of my pests, clovers, and replaced it with spider grass that is even worse. My crabgrass persists. Their communication seems good at first, but important information was not conveyed until it was too late. Also, they left my side gate open and my dog was freed. Inconsistent is what I would say sums up their business, and my results from them. Im going with a local company, I would suggest you start there and save yourself a year of stress with TruGreen.

I was charged $1200 for 2 treatments that were absolutely terrible and caused more harm to my yard. I called and requested a refund and was only given $500 due to them irrigating even though they only were at my house for 2 minutes and didn t do most of the yard. This company is a joke and refused a refund because maintenance was done . Do not use this service ever it s a joke.

I have now used three different lawn care companies. TruGreen is the worst one by far. They had to seed my lawn twice because the first seeding didn t grow. Then, they kept contacting me (two phone calls and two texts) trying to upsell me on adding tree and shrub treatments. After the second contact, I asked them to quit trying to upsell me. After the fourth contact, I canceled all my services with them. Bottom line: if you decide to hire them, be ready to accept below average products and get contacted repeatedly to upgrade to more of their below average products and services. My recommendation: hire someone else and get better service at a better price

TruGreen was supposed to aerate and over seed my entire yard. They did seed it, but did not aerate it. I was only aware of this because we have security cameras and it showed the worker only seeding the lawn. The worker also seeded my entire driveway and my new patio in my backyard. I contacted TruGreen and even sent them the video. The rep for TruGreen was apologetic and sent out someone else to perform the service. This time, they only aerated and did not lay down additional seed (again, caught on video). I contacted them, again, and they sent someone out to perform the service... again. This time, they did both seed and aerate, however, they left my driveway covered in soil plugs and grass seed, as well as my patio. To make matters worse, I NEVER EVEN HAD GRASS GROW, except for in small patches). I WILL NEVER USE TRUGREEN AGAIN. What a joke!

This morning we received our first treatment from TRUGREEN. The specialist arrived on-time. He was polite and professional, and explained the various things he was doing as part of todays treatment. This is why I went with TRUGREEN over the competition. Im looking forward to our best lawn this season!

We called TruGreen because we couldnt get rid of the weeds in our lawn. They did a virtual consultation since they were able to pull up images of our lawn. The consult was free and they were able to see some of the issues we were experiencing. We agreed to their services and 2 days later they were at our home with the first application. Its been a week and a large amount of the weeds are gone. In the last week they have already been here twice. We are very pleased with our decision.

GREAT LAWN FROM TRUGREEN

Today 5/03/2021 I was schedule to have a service for weeds and as I watched on my security cameras, the Tru Green service technician Aaron B pull up in front of my home and did absolutely nothing. But he sent in a ticket saying my service was complete. Disappointed! I would like management to see my video footage because they do not need to hire people like him to work for their company.

Weeds took control of my property TruGreen came out took a look. And in the first application I noticed a difference

Lousy service

Unresponsive...my beautiful grass developed huge brown spots following a treatment and. 10 days later has all but died! You can only reach a sales person! I have spent three hours on two occasions trying to get assistance.

We used to use Virginia Green for lawn and Mosquito Squad for pests. We gave both contracts over to TruGreen after being disappointed - glad we did. Were half way through the first year and no weeds, lawn is thick and lush and their mosquito treatments dont peter out after 2 week - I get full coverage from treatment ton treatment. All in all very happy so far

True Green sucks! They killed my lawn. I was charged for the entire yard front and back sq footage but the tech put front lawn on the firms so they only treated my front lawn but charged for both. After that was corrected I requested aeration without seeding , they confirmed 3 times between texts , voicemail . And phone call. I was still charged for aeration. After I complained about that they came out and charged me for something to help with the seed fertilization when I specifically requested no seeds . Very disappointed. Lost a lot of money to end up with a worse off lawn and overall bad experience

Weed control is the best and fertilizer.

The employees work better then the managers, the managers are mean and don t know how to talk to the customers they are raises to the employee . The managers force the employees to force the customer to get service . one of the managers from the location in Newport News he should not be working there smh I had to put that many stars because if not the take my review down and also the employees work really hard for this company

TruGreen has been taking care of my lawn and bushes for quite some time. I have been extremely pleased with the results each year.

Although I have no complaints about the lawn service, the tree and shrub service was not worth the price. We had a large rhododendron die and our dogwood tree is on its last legs.

Abysmal experience every single time. Our grass did not improve so we decided to cancel the service - cancelling service with TruGreen is like trying to cancel AOL back in the old days. Borderline impossible with representatives hanging up and trying to push the hard sale. As for the service? We witnessed their crew missing and avoiding areas that we paid to have serviced. And getting them to come back was like having teeth pulled. Not worth the cost at all. We may try a competitor or just do it ourselves.
