Urban Landscape in Newport Beach

A great experience from beginning to end. Had great communication through the whole process and always showed up when planned, which is very hard to find! Would definitely recommended for anyone looking!

We had Urban do a big project on our side yard, 17 years after they had done our entire yard when we purchased our house (massive firepit, pizza oven, large buffet area complete with ice maker, sink & 2 refrigerators, dining area with trellis, softscape & lighting). We wanted to transform it from a play area (we are empty nesters now) into a functional, Italian/Napa inspired entertaining area...and for it to look like it had been there the whole time. Everything from the plans to execution to the end result was fantastic. The Urban workers were very respectful, kept the area and surrounding areas as clean as they could, and were very punctual throughout the project (5 months). Communication was on point too. The final product was actually better than I could visualize looking at the plans. Let me explain the 1 star now. While everything I state above is entirely true, the one thing, and perhaps my fault (of course I wont go into detail about my wifes impeccable taste), was the budget. I had in my mind a number, and the project, all said and done, was more than double what I wanted to spend. And yes, I was given the plans at budget, but also with many options we could add if desired. Well, we desired all of them & more, hence the over budget project. For their part, Urban deserves 5 stars, but I feel like they should just stick to what I said from the start. Garett, the owner, has incredible designs and vision, and in order to achieve what my wife & I truly wanted, he brought them to reality. You can decide for yourself if my 1 star is too harsh. And even with that, I highly recommend Urban. Id just say going into your project be firm with knowing what you want and what you want to spend, because the sky is the limit with their imagination & ability. I am happy to be a referral, and Im sure Garett can furnish pictures.

My wife and I hired Garett who owns Urban Landscaping after interviewing at least 5 different companies. Urban differentiated themselves by providing a 3D thumb drive of what the front and back of our home would look like. Garett worked closely with my wife for example using the same bricks that came with the house that surrounds the TV in the back yard. Urban also used granite which matched our kitchen granite and the end result was the flow of the design of our indoor outdoor looks absolutely beautiful. The landscaping and well as the hardscape came out superb and we frequently get comments from neighbors that we have one of the prettiest homes in our community which is comprised of 82 homes. This was our fourth new home and so we have been around the block with contractors. I rarely give anyone 5 stars but I have with Urban because Garret and his foreman Mario were able to customize our home so it is not only beautiful but functional as well. I can recommend Urban Landscaping with no reservations.

Urban Landscaping did a great job coming in at a competitive price compared to other vendors and understanding all of our needs for the project! From resurfacing our pool with new plaster, tile, and stone to creating stunning new planters and landscaping, they exceeded all expectations. The new turf and hardscape added the perfect finishing touches. The entire team was professional, attentive, and excellent at communicating through the entire project. We just completed our backyard remodel and could not be more pleased. The crew was hard-working and punctual, the supervisor came by several times a week to make sure it was going well and problem solved any issues, and we essentially stayed on budget and on time. Urban Landscape was one of the higher bids on our project but it was definitely worth going with them for the beautiful job done with minimal headaches and great follow thru. I rather to give Urban Landscape a 6 stars reward, here is why , from the start to completion, the bid was very explicitly stating what will be done or included. I have a new home with only dirt in my yard but Urban Landscape company had turned it into an exquisite leisure garden. The Urban s crews showed up every day to work on my entire yard diligently. The general contractor Mr. Derrick Mccorkle is so trust worthy, he delivered very well on what he had promised, also went above and beyond and his crews were very attentive and proficient to work on every step away during the landscape construction. I would definitely refer Derrick and his Urban s crews to you, to my friends, relatives or my neighbors. Job promptly well done.

They listened to everything we wanted, and went above and beyond - I am so happy with the finished product. His team designed and installed various features such as benches, unique seating areas, a fire pit, a beautiful plunge pool/water fountain, a deck, stone design, and agave trims. His work ethic and creativity are outstanding! The price was right, the work was high-quality, and the team was great to work with.

We will never use another company. After getting to pick Garrets brain and give him our scrambled list of details he put together a plan that was beyond anything we could have ever come up with. We interviewed other companies and it was very much Its your call on how you want it...Im not a landscape installer or designer. I wanted someone who could confidently do the job. Garret and his team knew exactly what to do from the beginning. His team is really professional and left my house clean every day when they left. I am used to construction material laying everywhere during projects but our backyard was cleaned every day. It was great. These guys are high quality and at a fair price. The stress free process has been worth every penny. Really happy with the outcome!

Urban Landscape did the entire project for my new house in Ocean Hills , San Juan Capistrano, CA. Garett, the owner conceptualized and designed the front yard , installed new driveway and sidewalk with Italian tiles . Planted mature trees and natural looking turf. I had a fairly large size backyard. Garett extended the builder provided California room all across the back of the house and built an outdoor kitchen and living area . In addition a huge water feature and a fabulous fire pit were built to complete an outdoor oasis. The entire project took about six months. Urban team was a pleasure to work with. Quality of work ( especially what you don t see like the drainage etc as noted by the city inspector ) was excellent. They stand by their work. Garett takes pride in creating unique outdoor projects to fit each client s lifestyle. I believe he completed few other projects in our neighborhood. All were different , unique and beautiful.

My design company contracted with Urban Landscape to do a complete landscape remodel of a one story home rebuild located in North Tustin. The team lead by owner Garett McCorkle was first rate and a pleasure to work with. Urban was one of 3 landscape consultations that I sought out and from the first meeting I was impressed with his creativity and professionalism. Urban was able to provide the project with architectural plans and renderings in a timely matter, they are a full service Landscape Design company. Garett provided excellent daily oversite, this allowed the job to stay on time and on budget. His team is very skilled and possess a good work ethic. I could not be happier with their work, I look forward to using them for my next project!

We re a property management company in the Napa Valley and our clients and their designers can be very particular and Garrett was extremely patient and flexible with both them and us. His crew was friendly and conscientious while on site. The whole process from design to finished job was so quick it impressed us and the client. We truly appreciated it. We knew we wanted something unique and we also knew this will be a challenge with the slopes all around the house ... we wanted everything ... water feature , plunge pool , water running down the stairs lots of decks and benches around the property , to enjoy the beautiful views ,fireplace, Jacuzi ,etc... not to forget that we have front yard, backyard ... and the 2 sides of the house as well , ... the steep slopes , omg !! ... well ... Urban Landscape , Garrett and his awesome crew where not afraid to go with us on this challenging journey .. and boy was this one to remember and also worth it ?! You bet ! Attention to details was my number one priority and as you can see in the pictures below they did it ! Quality at its finest ! And I mean that ! Anyone think that construction and Landscaping in particular its a smooth ride ... well I will just say this : going thru major landscape construction is not for everyone ... definitely will be using them in the future and highly recommend !

Not good at all my uncle hired them and result was not good at all.

Stay away from Garrett...hes the biggest crook. We paid over $300k for our landscaping and have had nothing but problems with our sprinkler system. Weve had several drip lines pop off in the middle of the night because they werent capped off. Recently, we found a cracked pipe that was leaking for several months. Contacted Garrett about this and to his reply to us was Bummer. This is suppose to be covered under our warranty since it hasnt even been a year. Never bothered to contact us back to resolve the issue. Had to pay out of pocket to get this fixed and it was expensive because the cracked pipe was deep down. We have had nothing less than a bad relationship with him during the last few months of construction because he would not stick to the plan and we complained. He placed a big tree too close to our driveway in which we wanted widened. He argued with us so much that we just let it go. This made him upset (that we questioned his expertise) and would revert us to talk to his workers going forward. Hell be nice in the beginning to you but once he has most of your money...his true side will come out. FYI, he lives in Hawaii so you will only see him once every 2 months (something he never told us). He is not cheap (probably the highest quote we got) but went with him bc my wife loved his pics on houzz. His work is not that great, cuts a lot of corners, hes a arrogant jerk, and prides himself on his softscaping (this is his MO in ripping you off). He charges a lot but does minimal hardscape and maximizes on the softscape which is inexpensive for him. He tried to get more clients in our neighborhood but we warned them. We definitely overpaid for subpar work.

This company is a total disaster. In all my professional and personal career I have never experienced such horrible service. We did a job for almost $300K and its now been more than 15 months and we are still not done. We are at the point now that Urban is refusing to pay its contractors to complete the job. I highly recommend you pass on this provider.
